A/N Yep, as promised it is Valentine's Day and there is not much plot- just fluff! Maybe a bit predictable but I'm quite proud of it! Thanks so much for your continuing support, I love you all and what you have to say, especially any constructive criticism, enjoy :)

PS: For now I'm aiming to post regularly on a Wednesday but it might change so don't panic, I haven't forgotten about you!

Harry woke up slightly giddy from nervousness and excitement. It was Valentine's day and for the first time he had a crush. Last year it hadn't seemed a big deal but this year the castle seemed to be supporting the celebration. He walked into the Great Hall and was taken aback by how much pink there was. Small pink hearts rained down occasionally and cheesy music played. Most of the students looked disgusted.

Reaching the Slytherin table he saw her. Pansy was struggling to pull all the little hearts out of her hair. Harry took a deep breath and sat down beside her. She didn't notice immediately, but looked round sharply as he gently tried to disentangle her hair.

"Hey Harry" She smiled and arched an eyebrow at him. Flipping her hair she leant in until he could smell her perfume.

"Hi- er- Pansy." He blushed and looked awkwardly around for support. Blaise nudged Harry and then went back to lip locking with a blonde Slytherin girl.

"I um got you these" he stammered, thrusting a box of chocolates into her hands.

"Thanks Harry." She brushed her lips over his bright red cheeks and walked off, swinging her hips, supremely confident.

Draco sat down next to him and sniggered. "Shut your mouth Harry, You look like Crabbe."

A cupid (Lockhart's idea presumably as he appeared to be the instigator of this Valentine's nonsense) came over to their table, dumping a pile of letters in front of Draco, who groaned at the sight of the letters.

"What are those?" Harry asked.

Blaise, coming up for air again smirked. "More fan mail Draco? What do they say this time? Be my valentine Drakey-poo, let us fly off into the sunset and live happily ever after?"

Draco tried to smack him but he'd already turned back to his girl.

Seeing as Draco wasn't going to open any Harry read a couple and quickly discovered they were as corny as Blaise had made out.

Harry was not without his fair share of attention though. Throughout the day girls literally threw themselves at him. Pansy responded to their flirting by snaking an arm around Harry protectively.

Hermione couldn't really enjoy Valentine's Day- she hadn't had a Valentine's card since she was seven and she wasn't a natural flirt. Besides, she was too busy yelling at Ronald's brothers for their stupid Valentine's pranks.

Ron's little sister was loving Valentine's Day though, and as all Hermione's friends were cooing over professor Lockhart she had the pleasure of the youngest Weasley's company.

Ginny looked away as her brother and his new girlfriend Lavender Brown attempted to snog each other unconscious and resumed her favourite game- Harry Hunting.

"Oh. My. Gosh." She squealed. "Draco Malfoy is staring at us! I wish Harry would look up."

"Malfoy?" Hermione blushed at his name.

"Ooh you like him don't you? That would be so cool! We could go on double dates and everything!"

"Ginny, Malfoy does not like me."

"Oh so you do like him!"

"What? No!"

Ginny ignored her, tracing Draco's stare and silently willing Harry to look up. Fortunately for her Pansy wasn't in sight.

"Yep. He is definitely staring at you."

"Then he's staring because he hate me. I'm a mudblood remember?"

"Do not call yourself that! Besides, he is so not hating you right now."

"Ginny's inner gossip girl was desperate for an inter house relationship between this most unlikely couple.

Hermione blushed deeper and finally looked up at the Slytherin table. Ginny was right- he was staring at her

He saw her blush at something the Weasel's sister said and her eyes flicked up to meet his. Blaise was kissing yet another girl and Harry and Pansy were lovesick fools so it wasn't like he had anything better to do than watch her.

He stood up abruptly, hoping she would follow. She didn't but he had to speak to her so he waited. Eventually she did leave with Weaslette in tow. He silently hexed her bag, causing the fabric to rip. Telling Ginny to go on ahead she resignedly bent down to pick up her books.

Standing up she bumped into Draco and shrieked. He clapped a hand over her mouth, he pushed her away, and before either of them knew what was happening they were falling through the tapestry on the wall and into a concealed cupboard. The door slammed shut behind them.

Draco picked himself up, realising as he did that the cupboard that they were now in was uncomfortably small. Draco pushed at the door and then began shooting spells at it.

"Alohomora"

"Reducto"

"Filipendo"

Finally he turned to Hermione. "You not going to help? Don't you want out of here?"

"Of course I do! But I know where we are and I caught Fred and George Weasley chucking a couple of first years in here earlier. They charmed it so we can't get out."

"There's no way out of this stupid room?"

"Um. There is one way out but it's not like- I mean we can't..."

"If he could see in the dark he would have known she was blushing furiously.

"What!? Why didn't you say before?"

"Fred and George said that the only way out was for the people inside to- um kiss"

"That's it? Can we get this over with then?"

"No way! I'd rather stay here all night than kiss you!"

He was disappointed but knew he had to be gentle or she'd hate him forever. He reached for her hand, ignoring her protests and pressed his lips to it. He heard a click and the door sprung open. He mock bowed to Hermione and led the way out of the cupboard.

"Um thanks" Hermione reclaimed her hand, blushing even more. Draco smirked, brushed a cobweb out of her hair and leant in. "Any time you want a real kiss you know where I am." He turned and walked off smugly, leaving Hermione dazed.
