Chapter 7
Days passed. Weeks flew by. Months seemed to disappear. The Potters and the Stark learnt what it is like to have a family, to have blood related siblings. They thought they knew what it was like with Ron and Rhodey but… it was so much different. So much better.
So, to put it simply, Harry and Tony both loved it. Loved having a brother. Tony loved finally being able to pick on someone, someone younger.
They spent the days getting to know one another in the beginning and they quickly learnt that Tony and magic is not a good mix. The stuff he would do if he could someone to help. That's read as if he could get his hands on George to help him out. Whatever he was trying to do usually ended in a rather big mess. Considering that it is a Weasley family, Tony and George were the ones who had to clean it up while everyone had a good laugh about whatever prank or.. whatever… it was they were trying to do.
Tony had managed, after several trials, to make a phone that wouldn't go crazy once it was around magic. The first time that had happened, it ended up with Harry laughing his head off while Tony was swearing at technology. It resulted in a new obsession of Tony's; try to make as many of his gadgets work around magic since it seemed like that would be the new thing.
They also learnt that it was not a good idea to let Harry loose alone in the city of New York. His troubling curiosity had been sparked into life once more. That was also one of the reasons for Tony's obsession with fixing the mobile.
Just like now.
"Harry!" Tony's voice crackled over the speaker.
"What now? Don't tell me you're in trouble again?" Harry asked with a little laugh at the situations that his brother usually ended up in.
"Ermm.. well… not exactly. Just get your skinny behind here now!" the words came out in a huff as Tony tried to catch his breath as he tried to process the news he had just received.
"Okay. Where are you?"
"The tower, where else?"
Just as Tony turned, there was a little pop and Harry appeared right in front of Tony.
"Dude! What about the security?" Tony asked as he stepped forward to greet his brother (he was still not very used to the idea).
"Hey, it's not my fault I'm just cooler," Harry childishly stuck his tongue out before growing serious. "What happened?"
"Come here, look at this." Tony gestured and a screen popped up behind him displaying scenes of various people that Harry didn't know.
"We've got a situation." Tony stated the obvious.
Harry rolled his eyes. "I can see that… These are the Avengers I suppose?"
"Yupp… and we've got a war coming. Do you think the prophecy is starting?" Tony turned to Harry.
"... I don't know. But what I do know, that whoever this guy is, ruling the world doesn't always turn out the way you expect." Harry's gaze grew unfocused but quickly turned back to reality when he felt Tony hesitantly place his hand on his shoulder.
"Hey man, it's not like last time, is it?"
"You're right. 'Cause you've got me this time and I've got you."
"And that's exactly why Reindeers is going down."
Harry pecked Ginny on the cheek as he hurried into the house again.
"Well, that was probably the quickest visit you took to New York. You actually managed to not get lost this time?"
"Hahhah Gin. It's not like you're any better."
"No, but then again, I am a Weasley, we generally manage to find our way… considering our house." Ginny trailed off at the thought while Harry just let out a gentle laugh.
"Anyways, are you going to tell me what's happened this time?"
"He's coming Ginny. This guy from somewhere. I don't really know much other than they're assembling the Avengers. I'm still waiting for Tony's call. It'll probably be sometime in the next couple of days."
"You'll both be fine, Harry. Just do what you always do best."
"Thanks Ginny." Harry smiled at her.
"Harry, it's time."
Harry took a deep breath before he hung up with his brother, getting ready. They hadn't thought of whether Harry should be introduced to the others or not but seeing Fury's attitude, it was a mutual agreement not to be introduced.
Saying goodbye to his family was the hardest thing that he had to do. But he trusted in Ginny and the rest of the Weasley's to protect each other. This was his way of protecting them, by making sure the threat didn't reach them.
And protecting his reckless elder brother.
