This chapter is rated M, just for a hot moment.
There is no such thing as privacy in these small, cramped spaces. If this was her place back in Caprica City before the attacks, their son would have his own room. Actually, that was a lie. If this was still Caprica City, none of this would exist. She wouldn't be in a relationship with a younger man, she wouldn't have a year old son, she would be dead. That's the thing she forgets from time to time. Maybe this was an improvement to her life before. Dumped, dying, and alone. As bittersweet as it was, yes, this is an improvement.
Lee kisses along her jaw, his fingers threaded between hers as he gently pushes them up above her head, leaning them gently into the sheets of the bed. "You are so frakking beautiful, you know that?"
Laura giggles and hums into his ear, "Tell me more." She teases. In reality, she has never been comfortable with comments about her beauty, though always complimentary. She's just never thought of it that way to herself.
"You've reminded me what it means to have purpose...which you give me every time I wake up next to you." He smiles softly between kisses that are trailing down her neck to her clavicle bones, "We have a beautiful son...and we're all together finally."
"You do this every time we try to be..."
"Yeah, and we haven't because you just...you fear it or something, Laura." Lee shakes his head, "I want you...all of you. Not just for...Not just frakking, but...I love you. I love you a lot. I think of you when I'm out there in my viper. I think of you all the time...because you're in my heart. Do you understand?" When she continues not to look at him, he gently touches her chin to cause her to meet his eyes, "Laura, I love you. Do you understand?"
Laura nods ever so subtly, "I love you too." She whispers before clearing her throat, "I just don't want to lose you again. I can't...I can't risk losing you again."
"You won't. Not ever." He nods, "You've lost far too many people in your life...I won't let myself be one of them."
"Promises promises."
Lee smirks, "I do...and, as you know, I always follow through."
"Yeah...I know." She moves her hand to his cheek, "I know." Laura brings her finger under his chin, moving his head so that she can kiss him.
He lifts her legs around his waist as he kisses her deeply, gently readying himself at her opening before slowly edging inside her. Lee hears the soft whimpers escaping her lips as he gently kisses the space near her ear, beginning his slow thrusting. "Are you okay?" His engorged manhood nestled deep within her as he picks his head up, wanting to meet her eyes, "Laura..."
Laura nods, picking her hand from his grasp and placing it on his cheek, "I need this. I need your help to-"
"If you don't want to, it's okay. You won't hurt my feelings."
She licks her lips, watching him a moment, "Keep going."
"I have to go." He slowly stood from the small cot in which they were sharing, a smirk plastered on his face as he watched her.
"I'm the President. I say you can stay." She smiled, reaching lazily toward him.
"You know, I have this thing where I can't ever say 'no' to you."
"That sounds like it benefits me immensely." Laura hummed a soft giggle. She glanced around her small space, grinning broadly, "We made this place a mess."
"That will teach you to let me start you up on your desk next time." Lee moved back over to her, sitting on the edge of the cot, still nude.
"Next time?"
"Yeah...I think maybe we could try this. If it doesn't work, we'll go back to what we were before."
"Are you..." Laura swallowed, watching him, "I'm older than you, you know."
"Just a number. Besides, you can't put an age of your infinite beauty and wisdom." Lee leaned down, capturing her lips with his own, "We wouldn't be here if there wasn't any type of attraction anyway...and I will always take care of you."
"You flatter me."
He shook his head, "I'm not a very good liar. I'd make a lousy politician that way."
"You mean like Gaius Baltar? Can you even-" Laura raised an eyebrow.
"You can guarantee on my vote, Madam President." Lee kissed her lips again, a smirk playing at the corner of his own.
"Have I mentioned enough times that I believe this to be a terrible idea?" Gaius Baltar watches the cylons around him. Complex creatures, though something within him saw them as equals and not enemies. These beings ruined his life time and time over, and yet he constantly finds himself devoted to them.
"No one here cares what you think, Gaius." The Six cylon that, for one reason or another lives in his head, stands next to him, draping her arm over his shoulders. "They only care about themselves...and how our child fits into their little plan."
"I want her to be reunited with her parents...her biological parents." He answers quietly, speaking to himself.
"Caprica...you can get her on your side. She saved your life once, if you remember." The Six rounds behind him, softly kissing his neck, "She'll do anything for you. You know that."
Baltar shakes his head, "She isn't going to listen to me."
"You're brilliant. You would find a way."
"I am." He begins to smirk, pushing his hand through his hair.
"You would be willing to travel to Galactica?" The Three turns to face him, a smile slowly starting to form on her face.
Baltar never realizes he's speaking allowed when talking to the woman in his head, he knows that. "Yes, yes, absolutely." He attempts to play off, "Though you may believe them all to be enemies of mine, they did elect me into the position of President, while Laura Roslin was never elected into that position. Don't you see?"
"No one likes you there." The Five laughs to himself, "I can guarantee it."
"Fine, but I'm telling you, they're more likely to listen to you if I accompany you."
"He's right." Another Six, an actual Six that exists and is acknowledged by those around her, speaks up, "Cylons walk onto Galactica and it's seen as a boarding, an invasion, an attack by enemies. If we have a human with us, one that they would love to have to do whatever they please, and they may see it as a peace offering."
"Peace offering? That's your best?" The Five laughs harder, "They all deserve to die...after all the things they've done over the years to our people? We were slaves. We were used in every way possible. To build their buildings, to battle their wars. Let's not even touch the more disgusting ways." He shakes his head, "They may be our parents, but they abused us and parents must die so that children can come into their own. Isn't that right, Mister Baltar?"
"We can't allow the past actions of our ancestors be repeated in the youth of today. That would be the humans, in the cylons, in everyone." Baltar shakes his head, "I did nothing to your people but help you. If you want to kill me, then do so, but I don't think you do because you believe that your God has other plans for me."
The Three grins fully, the babe in her arms. She softly kisses the girl's head, "You're right, Gaius. He does."
"There are people doing what?" He furrowed his brow, "To Laura-Never Elected President-Roslin? They're worshiping her?"
"And her child, yes." Six smiled softly to him.
"She had a-" Baltar began to chuckle, a glass of ambrosia in his hand, "That's not even-"
"You're a brilliant scientist, Gaius." Her head shook slowly, "You and I both know that."
"I am."
"So why wouldn't it be possible?" The Six folded her arms, staring at him, "The human body is an incredible thing...especially when mixed with that of a cylon."
"A never ending supply of gifts." Tory smirks, "Sloane, you're one lucky kid." She carries a box into the main office, Laura Roslin having returned fully to the space from Lee Adama's secluded cabin on board the Galactica.
"I wish people wouldn't though." Laura tucks her hair behind her ear, "Treating my son as royalty while others go without, I don't like it. It fuels my opponents, for one."
"You didn't force children to give you their toys, you didn't rip what they had left from their hands. They gave them to Sloane, not you." She shrugs, "They send prayers, drawings...they ask for prayers from you. From you and the sacred child. This isn't even...Madam President, this isn't even half of it."
"The fleet is just getting back on their feet. This should be the furthest-"
"You're their beacon of hope." She looks over to the napping boy on the sofa, "As is he...Which is why the Admiral wanted him present at your inauguration as well. Remember? You were going to have him looked after by the Tyrols because Lee Adama and Saul Tigh said they could be trusted."
Laura tilts her head to the side, "Why are you bringing this up?"
"Because maybe, just maybe, it could be a good thing for you to be worshiped again." The young woman sighs softly, "New Caprica wasn't easy. I know, I remember, I was there with you." She licks her lips softly in thought, "There are groups of people who ask that they may be seen by you and the child. What do you want me to say?"
The President adjusts her position in her seat, "Don't say anything...I'm no longer the dying leader."
"No, but they dream that you're the child of Zeus or something. Seriously. It's crazy out there."
Laura nods slowly, "Sloane is going to need more bodyguards."
"Yes, ma'am." Tory watches her, knowing something else is working itself out in the back of her boss' mind. "Also, the Admiral is on line one."
"Shouldn't that have been the first thing you said to me?" When the young woman doesn't reply, she lifts the phone to her ear before pressing the button in accordance to the first line, "Admiral, I apologize for keeping you waiting."
"It happens. Madam President, I'm going to have some of my men bring you to Galactica. We have cylons who would like to...and get this, come to a mutual agreement that we work together. They say they have Gaius Baltar...and would like to return him to us."
