Chapter 12

The so-called party came racing after Tony towards the small team of heroes down on the ground, each of them looking shocked at the genius' choice of word.

"Dr. Banner, now may be a good time to get angry." Natasha was getting desperate, she was getting tired. this was not what she had signed up for. Missions she could deal with, but this is war.

"That's my secret. I'm always angry." The Doctor turned around and they all witnessed probably the easiest Hulk transformation as he simply changed into the big green guy. Facing the party, the Hulk simply smashed down into the Leviathan's muzzle and caused the whole thing to come crashing into itself.

The crashing monster caused the rest of the team to take cover as parts of the bridge and surrounding buildings collapsed around them. However, once the monster had settled down underneath the bridge, dead, the team assembled.

"Right. Barton. I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns, anything," Cap was once again handing out order. "Harry, help out wherever you're needed."

"Need a lift?" Harry asked Clint as he made his way towards Hawkeye to which he received a nod in return.

"Right" Harry grabbed onto Clint's upper arm.

"Better hold tight, Legolas." Tony advised his new friend having experienced apparition with Harry.

With a smirk, Harry turned on the spot and after a moment let go of Clint who immediately fell to his knees breathing hard.

"You alright there?" Harry couldn't help the smirk that entered his voice, remembering what his elder brother had been like (and was still like when they had to apparate somewhere).

Clint groaned. "Never. Never again." Gradually though he stood up and straightened.

Harry glanced around ready to apparate back to wherever he could be called when he noticed Clint's quiver.

"Just wondering, but are those arrows the only weapons you've got?" Clint gave him a questioning look, almost like are you serious? I'm a spy! Of course, I have more!

"Why?" The Hawk asked warily.

"Just something Tony and I worked on," Harry knew that the Agent would more likely trust him if he knew that Tony was involved. "It'll increase your arrows so that any arrow you touch will replicate itself."

Well, that was pretty handy. It was an altered version of the curse that was on the Lestrange vault that Harry, Ron and Hermione had encountered during their search for the Horcruxes.

Nodding, Barton watched as Harry waved his wand and recited the spell. Barely a minute later, he was told that he now had an almost unlimited supply of arrows or until the spell was removed.

Just as he was about to thank the younger man, he found himself alone as Harry left to go help the Captain and Black Widow. He knew they would be the ones most likely to need help due to their lack of 'toys' as Tony would call them.

And it seemed that he had arrived just in time to see the pair almost getting overwhelmed.

"Expelliarmus!" the spell called away all the spears that the Chitauri were holding giving the other pair more time and slight advantage.

"Hey bro!" Harry shook his head at the nickname as he heard Tony's voice crackled over the speaker.

"What now?" The question lacked bite as Harry glanced around trying to spot any hint of red and gold (notice the Gryffindor colours?)

"Well, as Legolas just pointed out, I got a lot on my tail. Anything you can do?"

Harry sighed. Sometimes, he wondered what he did to deserve what his brother does to him.

"Give me a lift and get into a tight corner." Harry told his brother thinking of what he can do to shrink down the pack that would soon be on his tail as well.

"I will roger that," came the expected snarky reply.

A minute later, he was grabbed and soon, the brothers were soaring down the street and into a tight corner, just like he'd told Tony.

"Bombarda Maxima!" The force of the explosion caused several surrounding walls and buildings to quake and some to almost collapse, but the brothers continued.

Several explosions later and Harry was left with Steve and Natasha as Tony headed to help Thor. It was just as lucky as he found the Widow was tiring.

"Maybe it's not about the guns." She said, glancing up towards the portal.

"Well, if you're gonna get up there, you're going to need a ride." Natasha glanced up at the scooter (well, that's as close as they can get. Stark will probably come up with a better name later).

"I've already got a ride. Could use a boost though."

But Natasha wasn't going to be having fun on scooters as that was the moment Harry arrived.

"Need a lift?" He smirked, channelling his inner Tony.

Natasha glanced at him warily, sure he was helping them, but they hadn't spoken or interacted much.

"Ask Barton. He survived."

Having heard his name over the comm, the Hawk joined in. "Don't worry, Nat. You'll be fine." You can almost hear the mischief in his voice.

Warily, Natasha allowed Harry to clasp her arm and closed her eyes tightly as she felt him turn on the spot and then experienced the very weird feeling of being squeezed through a tube. Suddenly, there was a slight pop and they were standing a few meters away from the tesseract on the roof of Stark Tower.

Dr. Selvig stated that Loki's sceptre was the one way to turn off the portal and within a few seconds, Harry had returned with it, very surprised to see the mighty god bashed into the floor of his brother's bar room. He couldn't help not feel sympathetic. The guy deserved it.

"We can close it. We can close the portal. Does anyone copy? We can close it!" Natasha was sounding hysterical, it was almost over.

"Do it!"

"No. Wait."

"Tony?" Harry asked, worried.

"I've got a nuke coming and it's about to blow in less than a minute… And I know just the place to put it."

"Tony. No!" Harry couldn't help out calling out. He had only just found his brother. Sure, the Weasley's had always been family. But this was Tony! His blood brother! The brother who had been stolen away from him and they'd only just found one another. It couldn't end like this.

He watched as he saw his brother skim up the tower, the nuke clasped to his back as he soared higher and higher, past the limitations of his suit. Why did Potters always have to be so self-sacrificing!

They waited. There was no sign of him.

They waited. No one wanted to call it. But someone had to if they were to end this.

"Close it." Captain Rogers ordered, voice wavering.

Even as Natasha pushed the sceptre through and into the tesseract, they continued watching.

And at the last possible moment, Tony fell through.

"Son of a guy." Steve sounded relieved as they continued keeping an eye on Iron Man.

"He's not slowing down!" Thor called out and the sound of his hammer spinning in preparation to fly could be heard over the link.

Hoping that someone down on the ground was closer to his brother to catch him, Harry did the only thing he could think of.

"Aresto Momentum!"

Sorry if that was a bit sucky, I'm horrible at action and I'm trying to get back into writing. Hopefully the next chapter will be up this week.

Let me know what you think :) Thank you! Cya later :)
