(A story I came up with a while back, using some of my life as fuel. Kind of want to see how Steven would handle someone who goes through a tragic life and is suicidal.) Spinel is a Mermaid who has been captured and is soon to be put on display until Steven discovers her and helps her escape. Trying to get Spinel back to familiar waters, Steven does his best to befriend her despite her hatred and distrust of humans. The journey back to her home takes several wrong turns, but Steven is determined to help Spinel no matter what.
