The moment he awoke he was sore all over. Heat circulated around his body, though it wasn't hot at all.
The sunlight hurt his eyes, somewhat, and he squinted to relieve at least a little of the pain. His arms flexed, itching to reach over and draw the curtain.
Then, he heard it. The dull beeping sound that had never left was just starting to make itself clear.
It repeated with such a fierceness that his body shivered in response.
His alarm clock had been going off for who knew how long and only now was when he heard it.
It wasn't that he slept so heavily, but the fact that he had stayed conscious, blocking out his sense of hearing and sight, yet not getting any rest at all.
Naruto was mortified.
Oh, how the sweet sound of sleep was so enticing.
He heavily lifted himself to leaning on his elbows before reaching over to shut off the buzzing box. He hated it.
Quickly, he swung his feet over the side of the bed. His eyes had just grazed the time and his heart was sent fluttering in response. It was almost twelve in the afternoon, whilst he should have met up with his team at least an hour ago.
If Kakashi usually showed up an hour or so from meeting time, then if the blond rushed to the field he would be only a tad bit later than the Jounin. He deduced this just in case.
He stood in a rather rushed manner and nearly toppled over. His head spun and his body nearly went completely numbed, yet he knew everything he had been feeling was merely hallucinations. It was his body's way to get back at him for losing rest.
It really all just sucked.
Throwing on his clothes in a sort of rushed fury he managed to complete that task in no less than three minutes, heading to the bathroom to wash the sickness from his face and apply the makeup (no matter how much he hated it) to hide his dark circles. He attempted a smile, faking of course, before stepping out.
No food unless he wanted to lose it. It was humiliating really.
He ran at a steady pace, all the while being sure not to waste his breath and still stay conscious.
Hell, it was nearly impossible to do any of that.
His body was already giving out and his strength quickly draining. Every footstep weighed him down, threataning to leave him in a heaping mass of dead limbs and heartless soul.
All he could think about was death. It was sick.
Naruto was so close to the clearing and relief was clearly washing over him.
Just a little bit longer.
He would have made it, he knew he would've if it weren't for that cat laying in the center of the road. He tripped with little grace, unable to catch himself, and landed on the screeching cat as it ran off.
He was left there, on the road. He was glad no one was there. If anyone saw the blond...he was afraid of their reaction depending who it was.
In vain he tried to push himself up, falling back down.
Almost instantly, he felt darkness wash over himself, but before his eyes had closed he saw her. The girl was rushing over in pure fear.
Naruto felt bad, he wanted to reassure her he was alright, until his eyes closed and the feeling of unconsciousness happily greeted him.
"Naruto-kun!"
Okay, if these chapters are too short, please let me know. I want to satisfy all my fans.
