'You don't really mean that.'

Over the past years he had tried so hard to be noticed and acknowledged and now that he was older he realized how useless and naïve that thought could have been. Nobody was going to accept the fact that he was a demon. Never.

He shook his head, unwilling to believe what the Hyuuga was attempting to tell him.

"It's a lie. Liar, you're lying to me! No one will help me, not know, and not ever! Stop lying to me, will everyone just cut out with the lies!?"

Naruto was losing it. He was tired of being told things to then have it blown in his face a moment later. He didn't want to be told anything else. He would just be lied to, that's all.

"Naruto-kun, I want to help. Why d-don't you let me?" She was getting desperate now. She knew something was wrong, yet he wanted no help.

He felt her hand graze his cheek and he instantly pulled away from it.

Only a while back was it that he realized he couldn't let anyone near him and Hinata was getting closer than he cared for- if she were to get too close she could suffer dire consequences- it would be best if they all stayed away.

His eyes glimmered against hers in pure shock and fear.

She looked at him questioningly as he began to back away. "W-what's wrong?"

"Utsotsuki..." (Liar) He turned to leave, shutting his eyes and dashing for the door, it was his intention, but a pair of hands clutched at his shoulders. "Hinata, let go."

"You're not going anywhere, Naruto."

It wasn't her. Another Hyuuga, though.

He turned slightly and recognized the face of her cousin.

"Neji, let me go. I'm leaving."

He tried once again to head for the door only to have the hands pull him back with what seemed to be the strongest pull he had ever felt, for at that moment he was flung backwards and landed heavily onto the couch.

He was left there gasping in pure pain. His whole body was numb, burning with fire, and his stomach churned while he tried his hardest to keep his composure and the tears from running down his face.

"Neji-niisan!"

Naruto could hear the shock and worry in her voice as she rushed over to the blond's side, gently placing her hand underneath his back in attempt to sit him up.

"Hinata-san."

She turned to face him.

"I barely used any force."

"Wha-"

"D-damn sure he didn't!" Naruto held back a sudden convulsion that ran along his spine as he pushed himself up. "I could've broken something!"

"I hardly doubt it."

The pale eyed girl turned to the blond and made a quick check over his face. His expression was running wild, there were multiple expressions and she was unable to pinpoint which were real or not.

"I tell you the truth, and you know it, Naruto."

Hinata kneeled on the ground beside the teen hoping she could offer at least a little bit of comfort. She reached out her hand to feel his forehead only to have it smacked midway.

"Naruto, what's your problem?!" Her cousin was furious. He stalked over to him before raising his fist and landing a hard punch to his face.

Naruto's head was forced to the side, his nose bleeding and eyes slowly releasing tears. He looked up at the male Hyuuga with a new sense of renewal. "Just leave me alone."

The two were silent, letting him continue.

"I don't want you to get hurt b-because of me."
