"What the hell are you even talking about?!" Neji questioned.
The blond refused to say anything. He only continued to stare off at the far side of a wall, pondering perhaps.
Neji was quickly losing his patience- a rather unholy sight to see from a Hyuuga.
Hinata stood from her position and headed for the door. "I should go get Sakura, she-"
"Hinata, don't you dare." The blond was near close to glaring daggers at the her.
She stopped in her tracks and turned to stare at him, mildly shocked.
"I'm fine, okay. There's nothing wrong with me, I'll just go home, alright?"
Neji stepped forward, but was instantly put to hold by his cousin's hand.
"Neji-niisan, I can handle this."
He froze.
Naruto could be seen fuming slightly.
"If you're not sick, prove it to me."
The blond was bewildered. What was she trying to prove? How could she anyhow?
"Prove what?"
"That you're not sick. Prove to me with one of your impressive ninja techniques."
Was she mocking him?
There was a smug smile on her face and all he could do was stare at it, mouth agape. This wasn't the Hinata he knew, not one bit.
He laughed shyly. "O-of course, I can do that."
Standing to his feet, shaking horribly at first, he signed for his customary Jutsu. He was positive he could perform it as long as he concentrated enough for it to take effect.
Here goes. "Kage bunshin no Jutsu." A puff of smoke appeared, great and inescapable.
The Hyuuga stood there, waiting patiently for the downpour of outnumbering clones, but Neji was shocked to see that once the clouds dissipated, there was nothing at all impressive but a panting and crouching blond laying on the floor.
Naruto was in pain unimaginable. What had happened, he was unsure. Not even a single failed clone had shown up. Nothing to make up for the massive amount of chakra he had exerted.
The blond coughed in desperate attempt to regain his breath.
Oh, now he knew exactly what the Hyuuga had tried to show.
"You see?" She pointed an accusing finger at the teen whom was cringing in a shuttering fetal position.
He closed his eyes when a spike of pain crawled up his spine.
Neji frowned slightly. His cousin was acting rather aggressive and he was not amused one bit. "Hinata-san, what happened?"
"Chakra exhaustion." She crossed her arms. "He must be extremely sick for that to happen. It was already low enough. W-with the stunt he pulled, the shadown clone technique, his chakra would drain to nearly zero. This is t-the result."
Naruto gripped at his abdomen. "You tricked me." He couldn't help but to laugh. "You really are more clever than I thought, Hinata."
The male Hyuuga was at a loss for words. His cousin, she was acting so out of character, it was unreal. Did she care for the blond idiot that much?
"Should we get him to the hospital?"
Hinata slowly nodded. "Naruto-kun, there's no use in you fighting it now. W-we're going to help you so just accept it."
The blond smiled softly. "You really know how to persuade people. But, I'm already as good as dead."
She unfolded her arms and placed a hand on his shivering shoulder, smiling with a pink tinge at her cheeks. "Not if I can help it."
Gomen! I know this took long but I was a busy body all week. Schooling and all.
Anyhow, please leave a review, it is much appreciated.
Arigato!
