"I was too late." Bella said while they were sitting on his couch, Jake's arm was around her. She and Alice just got back from "trying" to save Edward, but as she said, it was too late.
*3 hours earlier*
"NO! Edward, listen to me, EDWARD! You can't die on me! I LOVE YOU!" Bella was holding Edward's lifeless body in her hands, praying that he wasn't dead She started crying, letting every possible tear inside of her go on to her true love's body. Bella took Edwards corpse and carried it to Alice's car, gently setting him in the back seat. When Alice saw her brother dead, she tried to stay strong for Bella's sake, but let one tear fall from her watery eyes and drove the car out of that place.
Jacob's POV
"That selfish asshole died on Bella without even making sure that she was truly dead." Was the first thing I thought when I saw Alice's car come through my driveway. I waited all 6 hours on his porch waiting for any sign of Bella. She came running out of the car with tears streaming down her face and put her arms out for me, I hugged her so tightly because I knew what happened just by looking at her face; all that pain and sadness in her eyes. I patted the empty space on my porch step, gesturing her to sit next to me. She sat, rested her head on my shoulder, and sobbed softly while giving me play by play of what happened and when she was done, I realized that my arm was around her and that she pulled me closer. I was speechless from the whole situation and didn't even think about the words that came out of my mouth "So I guess you're on the market again."
