Chapter 18, yay! So, this one is a short chapter, sorry… I was so so so busy, I really couldn't update. So sorry guys, I hope you forgive me… But don't worry, before exams start, I will definitely give you another chapter this February!

"Hope it is not related to that man; our identities might be at risk if this continues…" Zeref said, sighing too. They both again sat in silence when Erza rushed back in the living room.

"Jellal, Zeref." She panted, looking really worried, "We have a really big problem."

Ok wait. Listen to me. I messed up again. Like, literally! No, I'm not gonna hide it just saying 'its just like in the story' or just not make you guys remember. Because I seriously messed up big time because of those plot bunnies. I feel like cursing and hitting myself with you know, a table maybe. Damn. Well, remember how it was Jellal's birthday? Well…. Um, I think I'm gonna cover it up here. Don't worry, I made no changes back there. Its all there here.

B-778-A, Park Prime Road near Sydney Harbor Bridge, Sydney, Australia
Time Check: 5:20 AM

"Huh? What happened, Erza?" Jellal and Zeref got off the couch, with a hint of worry on their faces.

"There… there's no one inside!" Erza replied. She had a really worried look on her face, and she was panting. "Natsu, Lucy, Jelarl, Gray, Mira-san and Juvia all are gone!"

"What!?" Jellal didn't believe it. How could that be!? Natsu was right there when he woke up to go at the door!

"Yes…Jellal, Zeref please go outside to see if they're just pranking us or something! I'll…see inside again!" Erza ordered and both the boys rushed outside. More like Zeref dragged Jellal to be faster. Oh well. Erza confirmed if they went out and then smiled.

"Everybody, come out! Just set up the living room as fast as you can!" Erza called out and everyone came out of their rooms with hands and arms full of decorative wall material and rushed to decorate the living room. They had already decorated the other rooms.

Also, all of them knew each other's identity. Even Erza's and Mira's because Erza was part of Team Natsu and Mira was the bartender of FT, so A class mages knew her as well.

Ok wait. I need to give a proper explanation about this. Last evening, everybody somehow convinced Jellal to go in his room and rest because as we all know, he got a sprain in his leg. Mira also tossed him earphones and told him to relax and listen to music; she knew his ears were sensitive.

After Jellal went though, they started discussing plans for Jellal's birthday. Well, they would have to celebrate it belated but then, better to be late than never, no? So, now it was just the FT members who knew each other (except Zeref and Jelarl), so they discussed the plans. And apparently, they switched on some kind of weird telepathy which made Erza, Lucy and Natsu listen to it while sleeping as well. They couldn't respond but they knew everything which was being discussed.

Also, the gang in the living room included Zeref and Jelarl, but they obviously they wouldn't know about the telepathy, no?

And so…

Flashback

"So guys, we really need to think of something to celebrate Jellal's birthday!" Gray said, time-to-time glancing up Natsu's room to see if Jellal suddenly decided to overhear them… plotting. "I mean, it would be ridiculously cruel of us to just let it go, right?"

"You're right, Gray. Juvia thinks we need to do something wonderful! Something he would always remember…" Juvia rested her chin on her palm, thinking.

And suddenly Jelarl jumped up, "I have an idea!"

"You do? Tell us then." Mira smiled seeing the young boy's enthusiasm. "Oh, and remember though, he has really sensitive hearing and is also a light sleeper too… we need to be quiet."

"Yeah! The plan is, we could somehow send him outside tomorrow morning, and while he's outside we could just decorate it around here! And while it would be really difficult for us to do all this tomorrow morning, I think we could just do half the work right now. Decorate the other rooms except Natsu-nii's and the living room, kitchen or any other room he might visit!"

All the people present there were downright spellbound. How could just a little cute and innocent kid have a better brain than them!? Was he above average!? Or were they too below average!? No one knows, but it was probably the latter.

"That's an awesome idea! We can order a cake too, right now. Zeref, get a cake. Get a chocolate one though, you know he likes it. Also get some decorations; we'll try to find some here too." Gray glanced at Zeref, his eyes very obviously saying, 'we are guests here so get the hell out and do the task'

Zeref sighed, grabbed his Porsche keys and went out to the local bakery, then to the stationery. Back at the house, others were still discussing.

"Juvia thinks Jellal-nii will remember this surprise!" Juvia prompted. "Oh and I have another idea! Since I'm good at sewing dolls, why don't I sew Jellal-nii an Erza-san doll? He mentioned she is his best friend, right?"

"You're right, Juvia," Mirajane smiled, just like always, but if one looked close and for long enough, they could make out an evil smirk which was only visible when she had 'match-making' plans in her head. "Be sure to make him that. I'm sure he'll love it!"

"Great idea Juvia, I knew you would come up with a great present for him like always. I think I'll gift him a perfume or book or something." Gray looked at a nearby mirror, obviously proud of himself.

"Er, Gray… didn't you give him both of those just last year? I think you should give him something different." Mira suggested, petting Happy who had just moved to sit on her lap.

"Uh… whoops. Need something else. Something else… a jacket maybe! He likes jackets! And then I can just stuff in a love-bloody letter for him with the sender as 'with love and blood, a psychopath'…hehe…" And he looked so proud again, which stars in his eyes, and an evil smirk gracing his face…

"Gray-nii looks scary…" Jelarl commented.

"Er… Gray, that idea is good but the 'psychopath' idea would be too much.." Juvia and Mirajane sweatdropped, looking at him weirdly.

"Uh, sorry. I won't do that… maybe… Let's get on with trying to find some decorations! Come on, come on!" Gray rushed them to start working, changing the topic completely.

Flashback End

And so, since TRD had already heard all the stuffs in their head they knew what to do! It was last evening too, when they decided Gray would ring the bell, somehow (with magic of course, all others knew except Zeref and Jelarl or… is it?) and then Zeref and Erza would come out and get him busy and outside so the others could decorate.

And so, while Zeref just dragged Jellal outside, all others decorated everything in no less than 5 minutes. They hung a 'Happy Birthday Jellal' banner on the wall in front of the door, balloons and decorative spirals hung on the walls, a table with a photo cake ready to be carried in the middle of the room and finally Gray and Natsu hid near either side of the door, ready to burst party poppers. Also, a band including Juvia, Lucy, Mirajane and Jelarl (just 'cause, you know.) ready at the side of the room. Natsu and Zeref to join them afterward.

Then they closed all the lights, like the cliché birthday parties, and Erza went out to get the two of them...

Erza closed the house's door behind her, chuckling a little bit about their great plan and looked around for Jellal and Zeref. She stepped forward, but as soon as she did, she felt a chill run down her spine.

And when she turned around…

Ok so, the chapter was initially supposed to be longer than THAT, but then I didn't have time… and I really wanted to post, so I ended it right there. I mean, I have realized that I ALWAYS post chapters on today, 11th February so I thought, why to break the chain? But that means I will update in next few days, because after I post this, I'm gonna write more…

Oh and, just like every 11th… HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Yipeee! Yay, I'm happy to be able to update today every year, really! And its you guys that kept me going and writing from back then! I love you all!
