Chapter 19, whoopie! So, this is the longest chapter I've written so far in Best Friends for Life. Here goes, folks! Thank You ALL who have supported me till now, I really can't thank you much.

Erza closed the house's door behind her, chuckling a little bit about their great plan and looked around for Jellal and Zeref. She stepped forward, but as soon as she did, she felt a chill run down her spine.
And when she turned around…

*beep* *beep* *beep*
Erza looked behind her, and saw that her Arc ball was the one creeping up on her, beeping to inform her about a new, urgent message. She first breathed a sigh of relief, but then suddenly realized Jellal and Zeref, who are unknown to all this truth, are still around. If they saw this, it would be trouble.
She very quickly grabbed her Arc (I'll start referring to Arc balls as Arc) and ran to the back of the house, climbed the 'secret' stairs at the far left, and reached her weaponry room, where all her stuff varying from small swords to giant and really powerful armors were kept. She then held her Arc in front of her and tapped twice on the blinking and beeping red point beneath the ball. The standard voice message begun.
"Dear Titania S, you are requested to be present at an urgent meeting with the help of your Arc in 20 minutes. Please cooperate and comply. The venue of the meeting is Onibus House of Masters, Onibus, Fiore."
Everything was ok, but the last sentence got her pondering. A meeting in the Onibus House of Masters? In addition, the meeting is urgent. It only means something is wrong, because an urgent meeting with the Masters can be only when something big is about to happen.
She realized something was wrong and immediately sent her Arc ball to Onibus. She wondered if Mira would've already got the message. She also wondered if A mages were called, too.
But suddenly a thought hit her. Erza Scarlet wasn't supposed to be here. She was supposed to lead Jellal Fernandes to his belated Birthday party. Whoops. She rushed down back, and ran fast back at the front of the mansion. She then searched for Jellal and Zeref and finally found them at the garage.
Erza stepped forward to call them, but then she saw something she thought was impossible up until today. She swore she saw it. An Arc. An Arc with golden light radiating from it in the hands of her childhood best friend Jellal Fernandes who actually was not supposed to be from Fiore! Same goes to Zeref.
She gasped, which didn't go unnoticed by Jellal and Zeref. They suddenly panicked, hid their Arcs and rushed toward Erza. "Erza! What- uh, did you find the others?" Jellal was praying hard. Oh Mavis, please tell me she didn't see it!
"Uh, erm, Jellal… before that… uh… don't tell me you ar-" She fainted. Jellal realized she had found out the secret of the two Kings, so he used a forgetful spell with a sleep one. The forgetful spell erased her memory from 1 minute ago (since he knew it would be dangerous to erase more, as she must have gotten the same message he and Zeref got 2 minutes ago.) and the sleep spell took effect for 2 minutes.
"Phew, saved. I thought we were just gone back there." Zeref commented, sweeping sweat off his forehead.
"I know right… phew. This is dangerous for us to do these kinds of things around here, you know. We need to be more careful." Jellal laid Erza down on a bench nearby.
"Yeah." Both the males sighed, thanking Mavis for giving them an idea at the last moment. 2 minutes later, Erza woke up.
"Huh? What happened…?" She looked around and realized she was at the garage. She looked at Jellal and Zeref questionably.
"Uh, actually you went here to call us, but suddenly slipped and fell, passing out. We got you to sit here and checked your head. You're fine. Now tell us, what were you calling us for?" Jellal explained, smiling. And of course, Erza believed him.
"Oh, I see… well then, come with me! Something happened in the house! Hurry!" Erza got up and dragged the two after her, into the house.
Ok let's clear something up. You must be wondering, Jellal has so sensitive ears. So, even if he was with Zeref talking to him, how can he just not hear them decorating and stuff in the house? Also last evening, not hear them planning, even if he had earphones on? He should be able to hear everything even then! How can he not?
Well, the answer to that question is simple. Jellal heard all of it, of course. He was a King, need to maintain a reputation, no? He just pretended not to know anything about it. He loved his friends that much, yeah. He knew everything from the start, and this actually made his love and respect for all his friends grow. Jellal smiled from within. He was actually grinning like an idiot while going back in, which went unnoticed by Erza and Zeref since they didn't try to look at him.
"Come on, fast!" Erza spoke while opening the door to the mansion. She then hurried into the darkness and disappeared.
"Buddy, let's see what is wrong." Zeref too walked into the darkness and disappeared. Jellal stood at the door, grinning like an idiot.
"Everyone. Before anything else, I just want to say thank you so much, and I love all you." Jellal spoke with soft eyes, closing the door behind him.
And as soon as Jellal closed the door, the lights turned on, the party poppers and confetti was sprayed all over him and the song began…

Erza Scarlet sang beautifully, while Juvia played the piano, Mirajane played her bass (you know, the one she plays in anime), Lucy was on the drums, giving beautiful beats and finally Jelarl stood in front, waving and shaking his head to the tune. Natsu, Gray and Zeref danced around, throwing confetti and telling Jellal to join.

Jellal looked at Erza with soft eyes, and Erza returned the gaze, while singing for him. They smiled at each other, communicating through their eyes. She knew he thanked her with all his heart, and was content. He knew she understood; he knew she was telling him she and all their friends were always together.

And as the song ended, Jellal just gathered everyone and went for a group hug. He didn't know what life has in store for him just the next moment, but he knew that these people in front of him would always and forever be with him, no matter the circumstances.
"Come on everyone! Let's get the cake cut now! Happy Belated Birthday Jellal! Sorry we couldn't do it yesterday, but better to be late than never!" Natsu spoke enthusiastically, punching his fist in the air and wishing Jellal.
"Its totally fine. You all did this for me… I'm really grateful. I don't know where I would be even if one of you were missing from my life." Jellal smiled; his emerald eyes glassy.
Everyone else too smiled at his statement. "Happy Birthday, Jellal!" They shouted in unison as Natsu carried the cake table in front of him.
"Now, cut the cake! Fast!" Natsu stood at Jellal's left, Erza at his right and all others crowded around the table. Jellal blew the candles and with loud screaming and claps, cut the cake…
But elsewhere…
Present
Onibus House of Masters, Onibus, Fiore
Time Check: 6 AM
(Note: Everyone can be present in the meeting with their Arcs no matter whatever they are personally doing. Its their mind which is actually present at the meeting with the help of their Arcs.
Also, the format of writing will change for meetings like these, because Arcs cannot perform actions.
And lastly, AA refers to best A rank mages, translated as Awesome A.)
It was a large hall which had many Arc Stands of various kind, created with ranks in mind. The walls were painted wine, and cream-colored curtains hung around the place. The Arc stands were placed in a curved rectangular position, two King stands at the left end of the rectangle, the Master stands leading from left to less than middle, SS and S Arc stands leading them to A stands at the right and right end of the rectangle.
The Master stands were already filled up, as all the Masters were already present. The SS and S mages' Arcs were all present as well, only few A mages' were left. Everyone believed that just like mostly every important meeting, the Kings weren't about to be present as of course, they do not disturb them a lot.
After a while, everyone was present and the meeting began.
LightMan (Master): Thank you to everyone here for being present today. Today, we have called upon you mages to discuss an important matter.
Salamander (AA): Is there any trouble, Master? (I know its kinda impossible, but you know it's the Arc.)
LightMan (Master): Actually Salamander, you are correct. We have trouble. Actually, Oracion Seis has become awfully active very recently. And this time, they are plotting something against us. We got hold of this information by one of their members who is currently being interrogated by our best captain.
Saint Mount (SS): That is wonderful. But may I please ask, how did you get to capture one of their members? I have heard they are so strong that each single one of them can wipe out an entire guild single-handedly. I don't think someone barged in at their base?
LightMan (Master): No, certainly not. Actually, that member of Oracion was about to strike at some of our mages, but the keen senses of our Kings who were at the right place at the right time enabled them to catch the man immediately before he could make his move. We have the Kings to thank for this brilliant help they have given us.
That got everybody pondering and talking. The mighty Kings caught him? That was awesome enough. But the thing which bothered everyone was that Master LightMan said the Oracion member was about to strike at some of 'our mages' and the Kings were 'at the right place at the right time'. Who were those lucky people who got to stay with the Kings or something? Just who were those Kings anyway?
Team Natsu was curious too, and discussed the same topic.
GoldOld (Master): Everyone to please calm down. We understand everyone wants to know the identity of the Kings, but even we, the Masters, ourselves do not know. They say that information is too confidential, because if any enemy even got the slightest hint of who they are, their lives might be in danger as the enemy may try to reveal their information out in the open. So only the Council Head is entrusted with their identities.
SpinnyGranny (Master): So now, without further ado, we shall continue this meeting.
But suddenly, a messenger Arc (The Council uses those to send messages in between meetings.) entered the hall with an urgent message.
Messenger: Sorry to interrupt this meeting. The Council has sent a very important message. The Council has just finished interrogating Sawyer, Codename: Racer from Oracion Seis. They have acquired information from him about Oracion Seis planning to steal Nirvana, an ancient magic.
Nirvana is a very dangerous magic, but we do not have enough information about it. Neither do we have enough information about Oracion Seis and its members, because before we could continue that interrogation, the arrested convict escaped somehow.
So, with a meeting between the councilors, they decided upon the decision to ask help from you.
The Council requests you, Masters, to select 4 guilds, and 3-5 people from each guild, today in this meeting. All the members then shall decide a meeting place, where they would discuss about strategies to defeat Oracion Seis, preferably in 2-3 days. They would meet personally, and then go to defeat Oracion. Council will also sent 1 or 2 representatives from their side.
We have our utmost faith in the members you will choose. Be sure to choose at least 1 SS mage, and at least 2 S mages. Thank You.

Everyone was shocked. It was too much to take in at once. The messenger left, and all the others started talking among themselves, about who will go. The Masters also started discussing among themselves about the strategies and who will go. About half an hour later, the Masters decided everything.
LightMan (Master): So, after a long discussion, we have finally arrived on a decision. The 4 guilds which would be taking part in this would be, Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus and finally, Sabertooth.
BuffSaber (Master): And the members who would be taking part in this would be…
Fairy Tail: Titania, Salamander, IceKing, Celestie and SkyMaiden.
Lamia Scale: ColdCreature, DollMaker, and SaintMount.
Blue Pegasus: Parfum, HHundredNight, RSilentNight and EHolyNight and
Sabertooth: WhiteDragon, ShadowDragon and 13thStar.
All the participants deathly quiet, except Salamander, of course.
Salamander: Yosh! I'm all fired up!
ManlyWoman (Master): Great! We have high expectations from you, kids! The meeting is tomorrow at the Blue Pegasus rest house at 2 pm! Please be on time!
Parfum: I don't know why… but I can't wait to meet you, Titania honey.
Titania: Shut up! When we meet, you need to stay at least 5 miles away from me!
And everyone laughed, the 'team' getting themselves ready. Another great adventure awaited them…
But somewhere else…

Council Hall
Time Check: 6:30 PM
(Note: I changed Jellal's name from HeavenlyStar to AltairZion since it HeavenlyStar sounded too childish. Altair is the 12th brightest star which signifies 'Eagle' and Zion is heaven. I was about to use Siruis instead of Altair, but Siruis also signified 'Dog Star' so no.
Also, Gran Doma, the chairman is really kind in here. Kinda impossible but still.)
All the councilors' Arcs were present in the hall, a very important discussion going on… Of course, our Hero and his friend, the two Kings were present, as they were both councilors too! Also, the councilors used their real names in the council, except the Kings.
Org: Finally. The message has been sent, Gran Doma-sama.
Gran Doma: Thank You Org. Now councilors, I want you to decide who will go as a representative of the council. I say Zion should go. (He's referring to AltairZion which is Jellal.)
Belno: Oh no Gran Doma-san, he's a king. How could he just reveal his identity?
Gran Doma: No No, Belno-san. I meant he could disguise and go. And I think Z (BlackZ, Zeref) should join him. Since I don't think there is anyone more fit for this than those two. Ultear is out on another mission, so we can't send her.
Yajima: You have a good point, Gran Doma-san. I think Zion and Z, you should go.
AltairZion: Uh, are you sure? I don't mind but…are you really sure?
BlackZ: I agree, are you really sure we both should go?
Org: I think its appropriate. All of us others are too rusty to handle them, I think. Haha!
All other councilors except Zion and Z: hahaha! Right!
Belno: Well, then you both should only go. But stay careful, your identity shall not be revealed…
Zion and Z: Uh… ok then. We will go. We will reach Blue Pegasus base tomorrow.
Org: Wait, how did you know their meeting spot?
Z: Nevermind that. I'll tell you later, Org-san.
Gran Doma: Well then it is settled. Disperse.
Meanwhile…
The party had finally died down, and everyone was sitting in the living room and chatting. Jellal excused himself to attend a call, and Zeref excused himself to take some air. Both the males had made petty excuses, of course. They met outside.
"Damn Zeref, they put us in trouble. Just how are we supposed to disguise?" Jellal exclaimed, fretting about the disguise. He sat on the bench, and invited Zeref to do the same.
"I'm worried about that too. Also, how would that team react when they know they have Kings on this mission with them?" Zeref sat down, holding his chin, thinking. He stared into space.
"I know… but the disguises are more important. If we're found out, I'm telling you, we're screwed." Jellal looked at the flowers growing just nearby the bench, trying to think of a way to disguise.
"How to disguise… hmm… How can we disguise so no one can identify us? Even with our voice?" Zeref asked, still staring into empty air.
"Why disguise?" A familiar female voice spoke from nearby. A look of horror was strewn over the two handsome kings' faces. Well, she heard them. But how much did she hear? The two were confident of their approaching death, as she approached them…

So, as I promised, I updated soon enough. Also, I think this was the longest chapter of this series so far. I don't know when would be the next update, but it will be most probably before April. In March, absolutely, since from 25 Feb to 12 March, I have exams so no other things.
