Chapter 10

Author's Note: Hey guys, I'm super sorry I've been really random at times that I have updated or posted another chapter. (;^;) I hereby make a promise that on every other Saturday, and hopefully if I can, once a week, I will try to post a new chapter, or add on to one that has already been written. Because of this, I might finish this fanfiction up a little faster than planned, but thank you guys for being really understanding! Love you guys! :3 Currently, I've been getting caught up with Fairy Tail right now, so maybe expect a Fairy Tail fanfiction soon, but for now, here's another chapter of Attack on Titan~Thanks for all of the views everyone, and I really hope you enjoy! You guys are the best!

When watching the next episode, your heart felt heavy, pausing in between scenes just to catch your breath. "How can there be an anime without a main character?" You thought to yourself. The Captain is currently trying to leave "to work putting together reinforcements," which is an absolute lie, you think to yourself. "He's such a wimp!" you think, mad at him for leaving everyone to just help himself.

The scene then changes to show what it's like inside, and how a man is loading a gun, only to shoot himself. Horrified, you close your eyes for a brief second, wishing that everyone had a little more hope. Once your eyes opened, you saw a splatter of deep red blood on the bookshelf.

You still couldn't believe that the Quartermasters lost the will to fight. "If everyone else is fighting strong, then shouldn't you?" You think. Connie is amazing at bringing up people you noticed with his empowering talks, but Jean does bring up a good point about how they were going to convince all those people into joining them. What does Jean mean by "Had I known, I should've told her?" Who is her? You're mystified by the question, but determined for the sake of the others on the screen. Sasha, doing the same as Connie, was trying to encourage others to stand up and fight, yet they wouldn't pay attention, too afraid to stand on their own two feet because of the memories they have from earlier. "Not Marco too," you think to yourself, already getting more downcast each moment. When Marco asks, "What is it I'm dying for?" you want to get up and slap him, and say "you're fighting for the sake of humanity! You're fighting to stay alive! You're fighting for everyone you love, and consider friends!"

The time comes when Armin has to tell Mikasa what happens, and you felt tinged with sadness once again. Mikasa is unknowing of the events that happened, and the flashbacks that are going on in Armin's mind. Armin looks up at Mikasa, tears running down his face, and eyes wide, trying to convey the message about Eren. Everyone's hearts were still and eyes were planted on Armin, while he told of the brave heroic men and women, carrying out their duties. "Mikasa has the heart of a mother," you thought as Mikasa bent down, grasping Armin's hand, telling him to get up. You were beginning to tear up for Mikasa, knowing how her heart must've broken even more than yours when hearing the news from Armin, knowing that her "family" is now fractured. The phrase "I can't win unless I fight," said by Mikasa, rings in your ears, as you perk up, hoping the best for everyone. Now everyone is just insulting the others, trying to get them mad and prove that they're not really "cowards," and it works. Shocked, you clamp your fists, knowing that the reason why Mikasa ran out of gas was because of the news that was given to her. Actions speak louder than words, or at least that's what they say. Armin and Connie go to help her, trying to get there as fast as they can.

While Mikasa is talking about her pain, you try screaming, "A titan!" at the screen, hoping it will reach her ears, but it doesn't. She's so consumed with sorrow that she can't pay attention around her.

Tom, surrounded with titans, knows it's the end for him, yet tries to shout for the titans to stop. Two of his friends come down to help him, but one gets caught in a titans hand, and the other in another's hands. Jean is now self-doubting himself, and you think encouraging words, trying to lift him up, while he's trying to pull himself down, closing his eyes to the titans. "MIKASA! THERE IS A TITAN THERE!" you try shouting to her at the top of your lungs. "Is this the end…" you say despairingly. "I thought you wanted to fight," you say to Mikasa through the screen, mortified that she would give in so quickly. She puts the blade through the titan's hand, wondering why she was still fighting. You felt your heart hop for a second, as another titan came through, with more muscle, and longer hair. There was something in you that was trying to tell you something, yet you couldn't tell. As the other titan approached, you went stiff, even holding your breath. You felt glad as Mikasa realized her will to fight again. Startled, you and Mikasa watch as this random titan goes head to head with the one Mikasa is fighting with. "Those eyes," you whisper to yourself. As Armin and Connie meet Mikasa, she points out that there is something different about that titan. They realize it, just as surprised as you all. You knew that something about that titan is strange, yet vaguely familiar. "Armin…" you whisper as he swaps Mikasa's gas tanks with his. You know they can do this. You believe in them, and somehow this feeling got through to them, you hoped.

Armin and Mikasa felt something touch them, like a gently hand made from feathers. A hope that opened their hearts more, but what is this, they're wondering. As Mikasa told Armin that he wouldn't be eaten, they both felt the determination to go on and live. Mikasa was telling about the earlier events, when she "felt a slight excitement," about having another titan kill a titan.

"Those features," you thought to yourself, again as the flashbacks revealed the mysterious titan. "Where do I know them from?"
