Dungeon. In front of the boss room
The Sleeping Knights each has a wide grin on their face, as they looked at Naruto's back. Naruto himself has an arrogant grin and challenging eyes, as he looked at the reinforcement that has come to fight the boss. They looked nervous at each other and whispered
"Oy, isn't that Battousai? What is he doing here?"
"I don't know, but it seems he is with those guys"
"So if we want to get to the boss, we need to defeat him? But that's impossible! I heard he could single-handly defeat a whole guild. How the heck are we gonna fight against some one like that?"
The leader heard the whispers and shouted out angrily.
"Why are you all so afraid of him? He is just one person. No matter how powerful he is, he can't fight us all. It is obviously that all those rumors were only rumors that exaggerate his abilities. No need to fear him!"
The crowd began to murmur again. While Naruto just cocked his head, but the arrogant grin never left his face.
"Ho? So you really think that all those rumors about me were only mere rumors?". He then made a motion 'come here' with his palm and said. "If you want to find out whether it true or not? Just come at me and you will find out"
Kirito, that was still mix in the crowd face-palm and muttered.
"Again with that cocky attitude.*sigh* Guess I am gonna help him a little. Not that he need any to begin with". With that Kirito somersaulted to Naruto's direction. Naruto saw who it was and grinned even wider.
"Sorry, but now this place is truly off-limits. So if you guys don't want to have your ass kick. I advice for all of you to wait before those guys finished the boss or return to your guild" said Kirito turned to face the crowd.
The crowd was surprise at the sudden appearance of Kirito and began to sweat even more nervously. After all right in front of the right now are the best VRMMO players.
Asuna saw Kirito appeared in front of her and smiled widely. The rest of the guild just looked at him with a question mark on their head, wondered why he is here.
"Ne, Asuna?". Asuna turned to Yuuki." That guy is there to help us, right?". Asuna nodded then smiled. "With these two here, we can relax. Don't do anything. They will take care of the rest. Also, look intently. It's not like you will see such a grand fight everyday"
The rest of Sleeping Knights nodded and watched closely at Naruto and Kirito.
The leader of the guild narrowed his eyes and said.
"Alright, if you two don't get out of our way. We will just wipe you guys to the floor. Mages, ready to attack"
The mages step forward and began to chant the incantation.
Naruto looked back Kirito with a grin and said.
"It's been a while since we fight together, ne, Kirito? Let's play a race. Who will kill the most?"
Kirito sighed and said
"Again with the gamble. But... I don't have any intent to lose to you. So I accept the challenge". Kirito looked back at Naruto with a grin. Naruto grinned back and stood in a stance and prepare for the attack. Kirito also stood to his stance.
The mages unleashed their magical attacks at them. Naruto closed his eyes with a grin and stood to battoujutsu stance. Kirito also smirk with his two swords in his hands.
The moment the attacks reached them. Naruto split the magical arrows that were headed to him in half, with his eyes still close. The grin never left his face.
Kirito used Dual wielding to cut the attacks to pieces.
The Sleeping Knights are looking at those two in disbelief. Siune even fall to her knees in disbelief. All they could do was gawk at Naruto and Kirito's display.
The leaders of the guild widened his eyes and muttered.
"How? How did they cut the magical attacks? That's impossible". The rest of the guild began to gulp in fear at the display.
Naruto opened his eyes then looked at the leader bored.
"Is that all you can offer? Come at me all at once. Or else you guys won't stand a chance. Show me your determination to fight"
The leader then ordered for his guild to form a formation. The mages began to chant the incantation again.
Naruto raised his two fingers and said.
"Two. All of you will lose in two minutes. Let's go, Kirito! It's time to race!"
Kirito nodded with a grin and began to rush with crazy speed at the crowd. Naruto was already rushed in and fight like a beast, no more correctly it was a massacre. And the smile never left his face. It's really creepy to see one person butcher hundreds of people with a smile on his face.
Kirito also not want to be behind and was slashing the enemy right and left.
All the while, the Sleeping Knights was silent the whole time. They could only watch the massacre that was caused by the two person silently. It was such unbelievable sight. Nobody could say anything.
Asuna looked at the two that were still fighting and muttered.
"Kirito-kun... Naruto... I love you two so much"
After two minutes, the massacre was over. Naruto looked back at Kirito and saw him panting a little.
"So what is your score?"
Kirito looked at Naruto, took a breath and answered.
"About... 45 people. And you?"
Naruto smirked widely and made a victory sign and exclaimed.
"Ja~ jang! As usual my score is the best. 64!"
Kirito just rolled his eyes then said.
"Alright, you win this time. But you need to hurry to your boss room is already opened"
"Ok. Thank for the help. Also, I'd want to ask you one question. But later, I will go to fight the boss now" said Naruto and run to the rest of SK(Sleeping Knights), waving back to Kirito.
When Naruto reached then he was swarm with questions and praises. Naruto calmed then down and replied.
"All the questions later. It's time we kicked the boss ass. But first we need to take care of the rest of them, ne?"
"Ossu!" The SK shouted at once and charged at the rest of the guild that was standing in front of them.
Naruto and Yuuki charged at once and slashed at the guy in front of them. Then he jumped back and used Doryuusen to send the rest to fly behind. The SK charged at them and take care of them one after another. But there were still healers, Asuna take out her sword and tank them, sending then to fly to different direction. The rest was taken care of Naruto, when he unleashed Ryuukansen:Arashi and destroy the rest of them. Yuuki also dance around and take out some of the enemies while smiling happily.
And so all the enemies were wiped out. Naruto then turned to the SK and said.
"Now is serious. Although I could defeat the boss by myself, but I want to give you guys the privilege. Show him, you spirit!"
The SK cheered loudly and opened the door of the boss room. Before the door of the room completely close, Kirito waved to Asuna and muttered 'good luck'. Asuna smiled at him and nodded then the door closed.
Boss room
The candle in the room began to lit up which means that the boss will appear soon enough.
"Everybody please max your HP and MP. We will handle the boss as we planned. If the planned fail then Naruto will step up. So don't worry, fight at your best" ordered Asuna, as everybody began to drink the potions.
"You guys just try your best to fight the boss. I won't let anyone die, so don't worry about it" said Naruto with a smile and raised a thump up.
Everyone looked at each other and nodded. Asuna then walked to Yuuki and said
"After this battle is over, please tell me about yourself. What worlds have you seen? What kind of adventures you have?"
Naruto stood in the back, just looked at Yuuki silently. He felt that Yuuki has a secret that she don't want anyone to know. But Naruto wanted to know. He wanted to help the girl. Even if she just recently became his friend, he wanted to help her. Though, he couldn't force her to say anything, but Kirito knows something, so he will ask him after the boss fight.
Suddenly, the floor blaze on and the boss began to appear. The party wasted no time and rush at the boss. Asuna and Siune stayed behind as healer. Naruto stood behind them and watched them closely.
The boss roared loudly and slammed his twin hammers to the ground causing the shockwave. Yuuki and Jun jumped up to avoid the attack and slashed at the boss's leg, caused it to roared in pain. Asuna decided to cast a fireball using her wand. It hit directly at boss's face. Naruto also chant his incantation and cast the rain of shadow needles at the boss to stun it. The party nodded at each other and charged at it with a roar and assaulted the boss. The boss changed to the defense stance to protect itself from the attacks. It then shook itself and sent the party to fly back. Its eyes began to glow red and it started to swing it's chain widely. Naruto narrowed his eyes and cast a shadow dome around the party to protect them from harm. He then shouted out.
"Everyone, give it everything you got. I have your back here. Go all out!"
They looked at Naruto and nodded. Yuuki began to charge at the boss and slashed at it's right shoulder. Jun used his skill to slash at its hips. Teuchi threw his axe at its chest and it suddenly took the defensive stance.
Asuna noticed that and realized something. She realized that every time the boss was strikes to the chest in began to change to defensive stance. So she deduced that crystal on its chest is its weakness. She told Suine to take the healing by herself for a minute to check it herself. Asuna casted an ice crystal and send it at the crystal on the boss's chest. As expected the boss roared in pain and took the defensive stance. Asuna smiled at the discovery and told everyone to aim at the crystal on the boss's chest.
Naruto saw that Asuna finally has managed to fund the weakness of the boss and smirked.
"As expected from my nee-chan. But..."
The boss HP has reached the red zone and the party began to smile happily. But something unexpected happened. The crystal that was on the boss chest suddenly sink to it skin. The boss then began to glow red. It's eyes blazing with blood-lust. The party's eyes widen in horror.
"... That's still not enough to defeat it. I always know that if that crystal was left, then to defeat him will be too easy. Now what will you do, eh, nee-chan?" muttered Naruto in amusement.
The party is already panting heavily. They couldn't believe that the boss still have this trump card. Yuuki looked at the boss while panting and gripped her fist. They was forced to retreat as they boss entered berserk mode.
"How the heck can we defeat it now? We couldn't even approach it now because of its crazy chain!" complied Nori while pointing at the berserk boss.
Naruto saw that the team could handle the boss anymore decided to step in himself. He run to Yuuki and said.
"Yuuki, I will teleport us then stun it. The rest is up to you ok?"
Yuuki nodded in agreement and said.
"Ok, Naruto. Let's finish this ugly boss!"
Naruto smirked and then teleport both right in front of the boss face. Naruto used Ryuumeisen to stun it, then he shouted.
"Now or never Yuuki!"
"Yeah!" Shouted Yuuki with eyes blazing in excitement. She then used her OSK and unleashed all the 11 hits at the boss's face. And just that the boss was defeated and shattered like glass. Naruto turned to Yuuki and pointed his fist at her.
"Good job, Yuuki!". He then turned to the rest and said."Good job, everyone. So how do you feel, when fighting the boss? And when you defeated it? So thrilling right?"
"We did it" said Asuna and slump to her knees. Yuuki couldn't help herself, so she jumped at Asuna in excitement and hug her tightly.
"We did it. We really did it! Asuna, can you believe it?"
"Yeah, but you need to thank Naruto as well. After all, he was the one to give you that chance to finish off the boss" said Asuna underneath her.
Yuuki then turned to Naruto and shouted out while smiling brightly.
"Arigato, Naruto! If not for you we won't be able to make it!"
Naruto just smiled while shook his head respond.
"It was nothing. We guys did the most part after all. I just help a little in the last part"
The rest of the party also slump to the ground tiredly. The door slowly opened and the same leader of the guild walked in, but the boss was nowhere.
Naruto stuck his tongue at him childishly. While Yuuki smirked and showed the victory sign, as the rest of the party.
The leader gritted his teeth in anger and cursed stomping his feet to the ground.
They returned to the city. Asuna said.
"Wew, it's finally over"
"No not yet" said Suine which caused Asuna to blink questionably."We still need to celebrate our victory".
"Oh, yeah. We need to celebrate. Let's make a huge party. I propose a ramen party" said Naruto with stars in his eyes when he think about the ramen party.
Asuna sweat dropped and said.
"I know you really like ramen, Naruto. But the ramen party is oblivious an absurd idea". The rest of the SK nodded their head in agreement, which caused Naruto to cry comically. Everybody began to laugh at Naruto's expression
Asuna then proposed that maybe they could celebrate at her party. Yuuki's eyes suddenly became really sad, which Naruto noticed. Suine was about to say something, but Yuuki hold her hand. Suine looked at her. Yuuki just shook her head.
"We will take that offer Asuna-san" replied Suine.
And then they went to Asuna's house. Asuna entered her house and was surprise that on the table there are already food and fruits. On the table, also a note that was written by Yui, the congratulation on the victory. The they began sharing stories from the different worlds. Yuuki then said that they will disband until spring. Asuna said that she really wanted to be friends with them, she wanted to meet all of them in the real world.
"I am sorry, Asuna. But that is not possible" said Yuuki her hair covered her eyes.
"Why?" asked Asuna curiously.
Yuuki felt really terrible, but she couldn't answer her question. So Siune decided to help her.
"I... We... Um"
Asuna immediately understood and said.
"Oh, I am sorry for asking something so weird. We should go to the the memorial. I am sure they have already updated it"
"Oh, yeah. We totally forget about that!" exclaimed Jun.
With that everybody began to stand up and go to the Black Iron Castle. Naruto approached Yuuki and said.
"Yuuki, could we speak in private?"
Yuuki blinked at him but nod. Everybody began to looked as they walked out with a question mark on their head.
Naruto and Yuuki flew to the forest and Yuuki asked.
"What do you want to talk about, Naruto?"
"Don't be angry at me. I just really want to help you so please answer me truthfully. Why is that you couldn't meet Asuna IRL?" Naruto asked softly.
Yuuki looked uncomfortably to the ground for a while. But when she looked up, she couldn't turn away from Naruto's eyes. They are so passionate and full of concern for her.
"I...I-I am dying Naruto" Yuuki whispered tearfully. While Naruto's eyes and mouth opened in shock. He could only muttered 'What?' in complete shock. Yuuki then embraced him tightly sobbing.
"I-I don't want to die, Naruto. I want to live. I want to have friends, to go to school, to have fun with my friends"
Naruto snapped out of his shock and embrace her back, comfort her.
"You won't die Yuuki. I will never let my friend die"
"B-but you can't do anything. You not a God. You can't help me anymore" sobbed Yuuki.
"I was said to have the ability to do the impossible things. I will try to save you. Just believe in me. I can save you. I don't know how I know, but I feel that I could save you" said Naruto rubbing her back.
Yuuki sniffed and said
"T-then I will believe in you. I have seen you done a bunch of impossible things. I will believe in you and wait.
Naruto then nodded back to her and said.
"Let's go back to the others. And don't tell anything to Asuna just yet. Just pretend that this conversation never happened"
Yuuki nodded her head and they returned to the others. They asked what did they talk about but Naruto joked and said he wanted to ask Yuuki out on a date. Asuna hearing that gain a tick mark on her forehead. She couldn't believe her brother is such a player.
They went to the Black Iron Castle, saw their names on it, took a picture with the all the guild. Then they logged out. Yuuki looked at Naruto hopefully with his big red eyes. Naruto nodded at her. When they all logged out Naruto gripped his fist tightly and muttered.
"I will definitely save you, Yuuki. Believe in me. I won't fail you"
A/N: next chapter Naruto will be searching a way to save Yuuki, while also discovering what her sickness is. Oh, and Senju Tsunade will make an appearance. She will tell Naruto about his family special gift. The same gift that will help saving Yuuki. But the cost is also very high. Ja ne!
