JJ's P.O.V

"Are you okay JJ?" My mother asks as she puts the dishes into the sink. I nod. "Yeah mom, why?" I ask. "Tonight at dinner, when your father asked Emily what happened, and you ran off like that. Why Jenny?" She asks. I sigh. "The day she got shot was the day I told her I'm in love with her. It's the day I realized I could lose her forever. If she died, I don't know what I'd do." I say. She nods. "I understand." She says. "Go spend some time with her." She says. "I was gonna help you with the dishes." I say. "Your father can help me. Go spend time with Emily." She says. I nod. "Thanks mom." I say as I walk out of the room.

I walk over to my dad and Emily on the couch. "Mom wants you in the kitchen daddy." I say. He nods. "Dishes?" He asks. I nod. "Alright." He says and walks into the kitchen.

I sit down on the couch beside Emily and she puts her arm around my shoulders. "Let me change the bandage." I say. "Can we do it here?" She asks. "I guess so, if you're okay with that. Why?" I ask. "I'm just too lazy to move." She says. I nod. "Okay, I'll go get the bag." I say getting up. I walk into the bedroom and grab the bag with Emily's stuff in it and walk back into the living room.

"You ready?" I ask. She nods. "Lift up your top." I say. She nods and lifts her top. I peel the old bandage off and look at it. "It looks better than it did on Friday." I say. She laughs a little bit. I put the gauze on the wound and tape the three sides down. "Okay, we're done." I say. She puts her shirt down and sits up.

"You wanna go for a drive?" I ask. She nods. "Sure, where?" She asks. "There's a park about ten blocks away, it's really nice." I say. She nods. "Sure." She says. I nod. "Can you get out to the car?" I ask. She nods. "Yeah, give me the keys." She says. I hand her the keys and watch her get up and go out to the car.

I walk into the kitchen and sit on one of the stools in front of the island, where my mother and father are doing dishes. "Hey mom, are there any cookies or pie or something I can take with us to the park?" I ask. She nods. "Yes, they're in the top cupboard in the cookie jar." She says. I smile and go over to the counter, grabbing them. I put them in a Ziploc bag and close it. "Thanks mom." I say hugging her. "Have fun." She says. I smile and walk out the door.

I get into the car and hand Emily the bag. "What's this?" She asks. "Moms chocolate chip cookies." I say. She grabs one out of the bag and bites into it. "Still fresh." She says. I smile. "She probably finished them just before we got there." I say, starting the car.

It's only about a two minute drive from my parents' house to the park. I park the car on the street and open my door, then walk around and open Emily's door and help her out of the car.

She wraps her arm around my waist and we walk over to a bench and sit down. She grabs a cookie out of the bag and takes a bite of it and looks at the fountain on the other side of the park. "God, you are so beautiful." I say. She turns to look at me. "Not as beautiful as you baby." She says. I smile and move closer to her. She wraps her arms around me and I put my head on her shoulder and she kisses the top of my head. "I love you." She says. "I love you too." I say.

"Jennifer Jareau is that you? Wow you haven't changed at all. Well obviously you have. Never thought you'd turn out to be a dyke. It's a shame really. Wasting yourself with this thing here." A man says walking up to us. I stand up. "And who are you exactly?" I ask. "You don't remember me?" She asks. I shake my head. "No. I don't actually." I say. "It's me, Charlie. Charlie Arnold." He says. "I left Pennsylvania in grade 11, but I wanted to graduate with my friends here so I came back." He says. "I never thought you'd be a dyke. You're too pretty to be gay. You wanna go back to my place? I might be able to straighten you out." He says. Emily stands up. I turn to look at her. "Sit down baby." I say, then turn back to Charlie. "Now I remember you Charlie, you didn't think I'd turn out to be gay? Weren't you the asshole that first said I was gay? Well guess what? You were right. I'm gay. You think I'm wasting myself with her? I get to go home and fuck her tonight. What do you get to go home to? Your right hand and a magazine?" I say calmly. He doesn't say anything. "I thought so. Bye bye Charlie." I say calmly. His eyes go wide and he turns and walks away.

I sit back down beside Emily and sit down. "What was that?" She asks. "He was the guy who made fun of my since we were little kids. He made up a rumor that I kissed Becky Donoby in sixth grade and that I was gay. I mean he was right, but I denied it. I thought my parents would hate me, so I never actually came out to them, or anybody, but Garcia and Hotch figured it out. Until you." I say. She smiles. "I love you." She says. I smile. "I love you too." I say. I shiver a little bit. "You cold?" She asks. I nod. "A little bit." I say. She puts her arm around my shoulders and uses her other hand to lift my chin. She moves closer to me and kisses me. Her tongue slides over my bottom lip, silently requesting access, which I gladly grant. I let out a small moan as her tongue touches mine and her hands find my waist.

I pull back when the need for oxygen becomes eminent. Emily smiles. "So you're gonna go home and fuck me tonight?" She asks. I sigh. "If it doesn't hurt you too much, then maybe." I say.
