JJ's P.O.V
I wake up, still wrapped in Emily's arms and she smiles. "Morning." She says. I smile. "How long have you been awake?" I ask. She shrugs. "An hour or two. I don't really know." She says. I giggle. "So you just watched me sleep for two hours?" I ask. She nods. "Yep." I smile. "Creepy much?" I ask. She laughs. "Yes I am." She says. "What time is it exactly?" I ask. "Nine." She says. "And my mother hasn't made breakfast yet?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Nope. I guess not." She says.
"Jenny breakfast!" My mother yells from the kitchen. I smile. "Let's go eat." I laugh. Emily nods. I stand up and walk over to the mirror and grab my hair brush. Emily walks over to me and wraps her arms around my waist and kisses my neck. "You okay?" She asks. I nod. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I ask. She shrugs. "I guess after what happened last night I thought you may be a little shook up." She says. I put my hair brush down and turn around. "I'm okay." I say. She kisses me. "You sure?" She asks. I nod. "Yep." I say. "Okay. Let's go." She says.
We walk into the kitchen, where my mother has set out a stack of pancakes, a bowl of eggs and a plate of bacon on the island. "Morning mom." I say. She smiles. "Good morning Jenny. Good morning Emily." She says. Emily smiles. "Good morning Sandy." She says. I walk over to my father. "Morning daddy." I say, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Morning sweetheart. Morning Emily." He says. "Morning Mike." She says. I sit down beside my father and Emily sits down beside me. My mother hands me the orange juice and I laugh. "Coffee please mom." I say. She puts her hand on her hip and raises one eyebrow. Emily giggles a little bit. "I'll have orange juice Sandy." She says. I smile as my mother pours Emily a glass of juice, then moves over to make me a cup of coffee. "I could have done that myself mom." I say. She nods. "I know." She says. "Eat your breakfast." She says. I smile and pick up my fork.
I watch Emily grab her fork and take a bite of her pancake. "Oh my god. This is amazing Sandy." She says. Sandy laughs. "Made them from scratch. A recipe I thought of myself, I think it was thirty-five years ago. Jenny's favorite." My mother says. Emily smiles. "Does Jenny have any other favorites I should know about?" She asks. "Grandma Jareau's apple pie." She says. "I'll have to learn how to make that." Emily says. Oh god. She told my mother she would have to learn something in the kitchen. I look up at Emily, wide-eyed. My mother perks up and smiles. Big. "I'll teach you tomorrow." She says. Emily smiles. "Okay." She says. I groan. "You okay JJ?" Emily asks. I nod. "Yeah." I say. She nods. "Kay." She says.

3:00 pm
"So what are you thinking of doing?" My mother asks. "I was thinking of staying here and doing something. I don't know what yet, but we can figure it out I guess. What are you and daddy doing?" I ask. "We weren't planning on doing anything." She says. I smile. "You can spend the day with us. I'm sure Emily would like to get to know you better." I say. She nods. "Take her out to the back yard, and show her around. I'll bring your father out in a minute." She says. I nod and walk down the hall and into the bedroom, where Emily is sitting on the bed on her laptop.
I sit down beside her and smile. "What's up?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Just checking my e-mails." She says. "Come out back with me." I say. She looks up at me. "Okay." She says, closing her laptop. I lead her out to the kitchen and out the sliding door. I close the door behind me and turn to the left, where Emily is already checking out the pool. "Did you see any other parts of the yard other than the pool?" I ask. She looks at me and shakes her head. "No. Not really." She says. I smile and extend my hand. She takes it and we walk out to a large fenced in area lined with benches and tables. "What's this?" She asks. I smile. "Full sized soccer field. My parents added it when I was five. We used to have some of the weekend games here." I say. "You have a full sized soccer field. In your backyard?" She asks. I nod. "Yeah. When we didn't have a game, my entire family would come over and we would have games." I say. She smiles. "So why are we out here again?" She asks. "My mom told me to bring you out here, she said she and my father would be out here in a little while. So I have no idea. Probably some sort of plan she's hatched." I say, which earns me a laugh. "Come sit with me." I say. She smiles and follows me over to a bench.

"JENNY!" I hear and I look over my shoulder. I smile and jump up. "JESSE!" I yell and run towards my brother. "Hey bear!" He says as he wraps me in a bear hug, lifts me up, and spins me around. He puts me down and I punch his arm. "Hey dude." I say. He smiles. "I missed ya sis." He says hugging me again. "I'm here too you know." I hear. Jesse puts me down and I run over to Josh. "Hey dork." I say hugging him. "Hey nerd." He says. I smile. "If I remember correctly, you were the one who wore suspenders for two years, nerd." I say. He laughs. "That was before I ended up as captain of the football team, may I remind you." He says. "I remember." I say hugging him again. "Why are you guys here? I thought you weren't coming until Thursday." I say. "I had some time off." Josh says. "Hailey's visiting her aunt in Boston." Says Jesse. "How is Hailey?" I ask. "Pregnant." He says. "Really?!" I ask. He nods. "Five months." He says. "And you didn't call me!?" I ask. "I was gonna, then mom called and invited me down." He says. I punch him. "Dork." I say. I look over at Emily, who's sitting on the bench smiling.
EMILY'S P.O.V
JJ walks over and extends her hand to me. I take it and pull myself up. We walk over to her brothers. I look at both of her brothers and smile. They look so much like JJ. I put my arm around her waist and rest my hand on her hip. "You must be Emily. JJ told us you were coming down." Jesse says. I nod. "That's me." I say, holding out my hand. "We hug in this family Emily." He says. JJ puts her arm out to stop him from hugging me. "Be gentle." She says. "You okay Emily?" He asks. I nod. "Got shot a few days ago. I'm fine." I say. He nods and hugs me. "She is not fine." JJ says. "I might not be, but I can still hug." I say.
Josh steps in front of his brother. "I'm Josh." He says. "And you're hot." He smiles. JJ hits his arm. "Back off asshole. She's mine." She says. He looks at her confused. "Yours?" He asks. She smiles. "Let me rephrase that." She grabs me, pulls me towards her and kisses me. She pulls back and smiles. "Mine." She says with a straight face. He nods. "I KNEW IT! I SO CALLED THAT!" He turns to Jesse. "DID I NOT CALL THAT?" He yells. Jesse laughs and nods, looking at JJ. "He called it." He says. JJ laughs and Josh hugs me. He lets go of me and turns to JJ. "So you're gay?" He asks. She nods. "Since when?" Asks Jesse. "Since before you nerds were born." She says. "You never told us bear." Jesse says. "Didn't think you guys would be okay with it." She says. "You're still our big sister. We'd love you either way. At least this way we don't have to threaten some asshole guy who will hurt you." Josh says. She smiles. "He's right bear." Jesse says, then turns to face Emily. "But if you hurt her, I promise I will hunt you down and kill you myself." He says. "If I ever hurt her in any way, I give you complete permission to kill me." I say. He smiles. "Welcome to the family." He says. I laugh a little bit. "Come on. Let's go sit down." Sandy says, walking out of the house with Mike. We all walk over to the benches and sit down.
"So why do you call Jennifer bear, Jesse?" I ask. He grabs a carrot off of the tray Sandy brought out and bites into it. "Everyone was scared of her. If you messed with me or Josh, you were pretty much toast, but with us she was like a giant teddy bear." He says. I nod. "You should have seen the three of them growing up. They were inseparable. Jenny was always the one they would go to if they had a problem. When Jenny was playing soccer they were at every game, even when she went off to college, we drove down and they were with her every weekend." Sandy says. I turn to JJ. "It's true. People used to think we were triplets." She says. I laugh. "How far apart are you guys?" I ask them. "A year and two days." She says. "Wow." I say. She smiles. Jesse stands up and stretches. "Come on bear." He says. JJ gets up and stretches the same way Jesse did. "Where are you going?" I ask. "They always play a game of soccer or six a day when Jenny comes down." Sandy says. Josh stands up. "You can come too Emily." He says. I shake my head. "Can't run yet or I would." I say. He nods. "Come on mom." He says. Sandy gets up and smiles at me. "This'll be interesting." She says and runs out after the other three.
Mike stands up and moves over to the bench I'm sitting on. "Tell me." He says. I turn to look at him. "Excuse me?" I ask. "Tell me about you." He says. I nod. "There's really not much to tell. My mother is an ambassador so, my parents really weren't around much when I was young. I was raised to be the perfect daughter. Or at least act like it in public or at my mothers' parties or something. Well mannered, well-tempered, and my mother always told me that showing emotions made me weak. I was taught compartmentalizing and I still compartmentalize. It bugs the hell out of Jennifer, but I'm working on it." I say. He nods. "Tell me about your relationship with my daughter." He says. "What do you want to know?" He asks. "When did you fall in love with her?" He asks. "My first day in the BAU, I was in our supervisors office and there was a mix-up with some paperwork. She walked in to let him know about a case and she smiled at me. And I sound like a tenth grader with a crush on the captain of the football team. But she smiled at me and I couldn't forget her after that." I say. He smiles. "When did you actually formally meet her?" He asks. "Four days after I saw her the first time. They were getting back from a case and the next day when I went back in, she filled me in on protocol. I was her friend for a long time, then when I got shot, she told me she was in love with me. At that moment I really was the happiest person on Earth. She's helped me so much. It's been six days and I'm here. She's so amazing and I'm so in love with her I'm terrified." I say. He nods. "That's the way I felt with her mother. But she loves you. A lot. She would call us and all she would talk about is you. She never came right out and said it, but I think on some level, we always knew. She's lucky to have you." He says. I smile. "I'm the lucky one." I say as I watch Jesse pick his sister up, carry her ten feet away from the ball, put her down and run back to the ball, leaving her standing there. "THAT WAS TOTALLY A FOUL!" She yells like a five year old. Then runs and tackles her brother. I laugh and Mike gets up. "You want anything to drink Emily?" He asks. "No thanks Mike." I say. He smiles and walks into the house.
"Next point wins!" JJ yells, kicking the ball over to her mother, then runs past Jesse. Her mother passes the ball back to her and she shoots. "OHH!" She yells as the ball hits the back of the net. Jesse walks over to her and picks her up. "WHAT DID I TELL YOU?" She yells, wrapping her arm around her brother's neck as he carries her towards me. He sets her down in front of me. She turns to face him and she smiles. "Still undefeated." She says. "Yeah, yeah. Rub it in." He says, smiling. "Josh! Jesse! Come help me make dinner." Sandy says, running over to us, with Josh following her. "What are we having?" Jesse asks. "I don't know yet." Sandy says. "We'll figure it out when we get there." She says. "All right." Jesse says and walks towards the house with his brother and mother. "Bye losers." JJ says. "We will win one day." Josh says. "Sure you will." JJ says.
They get inside the house and JJ walks over to me. She puts her hands on my thighs and kisses me. "Did you have fun?" I ask. She nods. "I've missed them." She says. "I saw you talking to my father." She says. I nod. "Yeah." I say. "Was it a talk or an interrogation?" She asks. I laugh. "It was just a normal talk." I say. "What did you talk about?" She says. "He asked me about me, then about us." I say. "What about us?" She asks. "He asked me when I fell in love with you." I say. She smiles. "What did you tell him?" She asks. "I told him about my first time at the BAU, when you walked into Hotch's office." I say. She smiles. "I love you." She says. I wrap my arms around her. "I love you too." I say.
She moves away from me and sits down in the grass. "Sit with me." She says. I smile and lower myself down into the grass and lay on my back. She laughs and lies down beside me with her head on my chest. I wrap my arms around her and smile. "I love you." I say. "I love you too Em." She says snuggling into me.
