Hey! it's been awhile! I know I know it's all my fault, but I've been busy lately. I moved and everything was caotic. So, here I am again; in this third chapter you'll see what happend before Raku and Chitoge met at the beach.
Hope you enjoy! I've read your reviews for my story, I'm glad you have taken a minute or two to comment, I really apreciate it and encourage me to keep writing. Once again, I'm sorry for the late update.
Eleven months have passed since Chitoge left Japan, things have changed. Nobody could tell what happened, how it happened or why it happened; everyone was lost and at the same time hurt. The girls felt as if their number one nemesis has been defeated, but Raku was broken. He said nothing, how could he, Kosaki the girl he was longing for so long was his girlfriend now. He couldn't comprehend why he felt so lonely and sad, why he was having nightmares or why he was expecting a call or an email. The only thing he knew he had to do at the moment was being next to Kosaki. Her aura was calming; worries seem to fade away once he was near her.
Day by day things were more complicated, the peace held by their fake relationship was vanishing. The Beehive and Shuei-gumi were almost at the edge of war; relations were tense and his current relationship with Kosaki wasn't helping at all. Many of the Beehive gang alleged that he cheated on her and that was the reason their Ojou flew away. On the counterpart, the Shuei-gumi group argued that their Bochaan wasn't a dishonest man, that he couldn't do such a thing. They even suggested that Chitoge may be the cheater; having an affair in America. People started talking and elaborate possible reasons behind their break up. Truth to be said, just the couple knew their reason, to be more exact Chitoge.
Although, Chitoge wrote a letter to Raku and put in words her feelings, Raku needed to talk with her to clear his head, to apologize, to say I love you or to say proper good bye. He'd never be able to convey his exacts feelings if there weren't a face-to-face conversation.
"Raku-kun, it's so fluffy! I love it! I wanted to come here for so long, thank you for taking me here! I can design my own!Said an over excited Kosaki.
"oh! I just googled it, I didn't have much expectations of the place, however the reviews were short comparing to this" responded Raku full of nostalgia; his mind was flashing memories of his last time in the same store with his fake girlfriend, how she pushed him into the store, how she made him design a stuffed animal and the most unforgettable thing, her bright smile as soon as she received it.
Kosaki, on the other hand, was able to tell that the mood has changed, his boyfriend was clearly upset; something was making him absent minded. She tried pulling his attention back to her, until she saw on one of the walls a photo of the blonde. Her face wasn't showing on the picture, but she could recognize her red ribbon even a mile afar. Also, the blonde was wearing the bracelet she gave in her birthday.
"So, you googled it!? I thought you might have come with Chitoge-chan, once, she commented about this place!" replied the brunette.
[sights] "I'm … sorry"
"You don't need to apologize Raku-kun, I didn't need to know this place may bring you memories of you two. Besides, I could have never imagined that Chitoge would come to a place like this or that you have come with her" responded Kosaki.
"I didn't intent to lie to you. But, I think it wasn't necessary since I'd probably be awkward"attempted to excuse the young man. "Please, no more talk about her. Let's enjoy our date!" he continued.
On the other side of the planet, was a beautiful blonde girl, trying to fall asleep. She has put all of her effort on making friends, and she has made a lot of them. Girls wanted to be like her and boys… well boys wanted to be with her. In the past eleven months, she has reinvented herself; by having new friends and new habits, even new partners. The childish teenager that left Japan almost a year ago has been jailed deep in her heart. Its ghost only haunted her at nights, when she was alone with her thoughts, with her heart. A tear shed on her cheek and a name whispered was the only lament this ghost was allowed to do.
"°Raku, you're an idiot°"
A male voice from the outside of her room took her from her thoughts"Chitoge, babe, please open the door! We need to talk… I love you! I don't want to be over like this, I have some if you want to. We can get high and forget about everything together. But, please don't leave me!"
Chitogeeee!
The blonde lay on her bed, stoic, unexpressive to the query. In spite the fact, the man cries startled her; she was soon back in her thoughts: Why do I still have this hollow on my chest? My life sucks… you have ruined my life… you … jackass! Probably, you should be with Kosaki, it's already Saint Valentin in Japan…. How's everything Raku? …
The blonde girl isolated herself from her friends & family, after the incident with her ex-boyfriend at the dorms; Tsugumi came at the call of one of beehive members who explained the late behavior of their Ojou. As soon as she arrived to America, she found one cold and frivolous Chitoge, one she has never seen. Tsugumi was taken aback, how come her friendly and lovely friend has become in someone so different just after nearly one year.
She learned of her beloved friend her bad behavior, of her habits of drinking liquor, smoking cigarettes or even weed, her party habits and her multiples partners. Sadden she tried to confront her or at least know the source of her change. Despite her questioning, she couldn't find a complete answer from her nor her curiosity was satisfied. Any of her so called friend seemed to know the true Chitoge, just the superficial, her great sense of fashion, her athletic form, her wit and her beauty that were the only things people were able to point at. No even her boyfriends were able to say something really personal about her.
Tsugumi was clueless to depict Chitoge's sudden change.
"Ojou! Please stop doing that, it's enough vodka for today. You're already wasted! " exclaimed the bodyguard.
"I do whatever I want! Who are you to tell me what to do? Besides, nobody cares about me at this point" responded the blonde.
"I do care about you! More than you think, you're my savior, my friend and my master. Why you're doing all this things? If you hurt yourself, you're also hurting us"
"°Mmmm… shut up… By the way, what do you know about that stupid beansprout?"
"Ahhhh...? this is the first time you ask about them!"
Then, Tsugumi noticed that right there was her chance to make Chitoge talk. It wasn't any secret the blonde wasn't any better handling liquor, she has improved lately but no as much to keep her mouth shut when drunk. If she wanted to know anything about her friend that was the moment.
"I mean, I don't know much. Since you left Japan I've been on different missions and I barely see them"
"Oh… I see"
"Ojou, do you like your life now? Is it happy? I mean are you happy?"
"Happy?!... I'm not happy… how could I be happy? Don't you see me I'm trash…"
"Why do you say so? You're not trash! Please don't say that again!"
"Tsugumi… I'm alone; I'm living a lonely and depressing life. I don't know if coming here was the best choice, if I should have stayed in Japan, it would be any better. I don't want to be here, but I have to…"
"Why you have to…?!"
"Raku…"
"What did he do to you? Ojou! Ojou!"
Chitoge fell asleep intoxicated by the Vodka. On the other hand, Tsugumi has received a clue of what happen to her friend. She wanted to continue interrogating her, but at the circumstances it was impossible. That's how war started; a drunken Chitoge has brought war upon the young couple in Japan, her father and onto herself.
That was nearly the last time Chitoge used anything to block her feelings. After a while being around Tsugumi, she was able to clean her body from any kind of substances and she got into therapy to overcome her depression and anxiety. Still, she wasn't aware of the hardships and the bloody situation in Japan.
The beehive was chasing out anyone how supported the Shuei-gumi, the same were doing the Yakuza. They were declared mortal enemies. Raku by his side kept Kosaki, he couldn't clear his mind about the blonde, or clarified his feelings towards her, love, hate, regret or indifference though. He did what he had to do at moment, protect his currently girlfriend from anyone who tried to injure her.
Two years past by and the clans were able to reach a common treaty. The leader's friendship was lost long ago and either of them wanted to know anything about the other. Although, it was the case of Raku's and Chitoge's parent both of them wanted to meet the other or at least have news about one another.
