Here," Natasha said and gave him a glass of water and a pill. He hesitated. Looking back and forth, from Kensi's tears to that white little devil in his hands.

"Please Deeks, don't do this to me. I promise I will not be a problem. Don't kill me again," she mumbled through tears. Then he saw Natasha's angry eyes and gave in. With one sudden move he threw the pill in his mouth and drank the water.

Satisfied that he finally obliged, she wished him goodnight and left for their bedroom.

"How can you do this to me?" Kensi mumbled through tears. "How can you be so selfish? You haven't even asked me If I want to go back there." He remained silent though, despite her heartbreaking words. "What? You are not talking to me now? Until I disappear? That's your plan? Not to talk to me until I am not here anymore? To leave you alone so that you can have your happily ever after with your wife?" she asked angrier as the time passed. But she wasn't gone yet and that was confusing. He was staring at the empty wall, completely ignoring her. "Talk to me Deeks. Why am I still here? Last time I was gone in seconds," she asked, curiously. And when he smiled at her and opened his mouth to reveal the pill still there, she squealed like a little girl and hugged him so tightly that he could swear his breath caught for a moment. They laughed together. And she cried. Happy tears this time.

"What have you thought honey bun? That you will get rid of me that easily?"

"Don't call me that," she let a teary laugh.

"Do you think that I can live without you? I love you Kens."

"You played me well. I'll give you that."

"Oh, what made my mind was that…What was it? Oh yeah. I promise I'll not be a problem."

"I'm gonna pay for this, aren't I?"

"Of course you will. But until then, I have some other things to do with you."

"Oh yeah? And what is that?"

"Prove you how much I love you. Right here."

"Here?"

"The whole night."

"The whole night?"

"Yeah"

"Why don't you start then?" she smiled. "You have to know that I am not easily convinced," she whispered and they both laughed.

And the days passed. And they were all happy. Natasha, because she was thinking that her husband was finally taking his pills and becoming better and Deeks because he wasn't really taking them. He could still see Kensi. He could still fell her. Every day. He lost so time with her and now he could finally have her back. And he wouldn't let anyone destroy that. But when one day she unexpectedly requested something, he froze. Everything changed.

"I wanna see my mom."

"Excuse me?"

"Can we go? Please?"

"Kensi, I don't think this is a good idea."

"I want to see her. Come on. Please."

"I haven't seen her in years, sweetheart. I doubt she wants to see me."

"I am sure she missed you. Come on. You are driving. Please, please, please."

"Ok woman. Let's go."

They were soon knocking the door of the familiar house they visited together so many times in the past.

"Marty?"

"Hi, Ms Feldman. Can we…Can I come in?"

"Um…sure, yeah. Come in."

"I am sorry. I didn't even call. If you are busy, I'll just go."

"No no. I haven't seen you in years. Would you like some coffee?"

"No thank you. I just came by to see how you are doing."

"I am good. How are you?"

"I am good. I am great," he said looking at Kensi who was now on the verge of tears, holding tightly his hand. "Actually Kensi wanted us to come."

"Yeah. She would be happy to see us together now."

"Yeah, she would."

"You got married, right?"

"Yeah"

"To that nurse?"

"Natasha"

"Right. She isn't American, is she?"

"No she isn't. She is from Russia."

"I remember her now. How could I forget her?"

Things got worse with Kensi. Sometime he would go with her to the hospital for the dialysis, but most of the time he couldn't take it. He couldn't bear seeing her suffering. Couldn't actually bear seeing his strong partner like this. Her weak self was breaking his heart. He had to do something.

He was walking home with Monty one day. He hadn't seen her in days and now there she was. Sitting on his front porch. They weren't together, but he still loved her. And he knew. She did love him too. When she saw him, her whole face lit up and she ran to him.

"Hey, so happy to see me?"

"Yeah, I am so happy today, I could kiss you."

"Don't hesitate," he joked and she laughed. And that's all he needed to fall in love with her from the very beginning. She was definitely in a good mood.

"They found a donor."

'Really?"

"Yeah, that's awesome, isn't it? I may have a second chance."

"That's great news, Kens."

"Are you happy for me?"

"Of course I am happy. What have you thought? That I would want you to die because you broke up with me?"

"Can I come in?"

"Sure"

"Good. Because I'm craving your lasagna the whole day"

"You are impossible.

"What do you mean?"

"How could you do this to me Marty?"

"Excuse me?"

"How could you do this to Kensi?"

"What exactly did I do?"

"You got married to that woman."

"And the problem with that is?"

"She didn't tell you, did she?"

"Tell me what?"

"Of course she didn't."

"Tell me what, Ms Feldman?"

"About the money."

"What money?"

"The money that she asked for. With that doctor that did the surgery."

"What money was that?"

"Extra money for the surgery."

"I thought the insurance was covering these costs."

"I thought so too."

"Then what?"

"The donor. He wasn't giving the kidney for free."

"I am sorry what?"

"He needed money."

"The donor?"

"The donor."

"And you gave the money, I suppose."

"She was my daughter. What do you think? That I wouldn't give the money?"

"You never told me anything."

"I would have. But she died. And you disappeared. I couldn't even find you for the funeral."

"You know who the donor was?"

"No. I asked. They didn't tell me. He wanted to stay anonymous."

"I have to go," he said and grabbed Kensi's hand.

"Marty wait. I didn't mean to upset you."

"I'll come back Ms Feldman. We have lots of things to say. I just need time to think. And things to do."

"I hope I am not causing you problems with your wife."

"Not at all. You have just opened my eyes," he said and left in a rush.
