That was the end. If Marty didn't want to come back from his illusions, she would be the one to take matters into her own hands. This situation would end today. Kensi would end today. She was losing her husband by a sick imagination of his.

"Hey Mark…" she approached him during his lunch break.

"Hey sweetie…"

"I need a favor."

"What kind of favor?"

"Remember the pills that the psychologist prescribed for Marty?"

"Yeah…"

"Is there anything stronger?"

"What do you mean? They don't work?"

"He doesn't take them…"

"Oh" he looked confused.

"Yeah…"

"Well, I can give you something else for him."

"Really?"

"Yeah. A liquid form. You can put it in his water. He will never know."

"Sounds good," she smiled. Even better. He wouldn't even know what happened with Kensi. She would finally disappear and Marty would be back to his old self.

It was dark outside when she finally got home. He was already there of course. And he was laughing. A genuine laugh. One of those she only saw once or twice before. She was there again. She approached the backyard where his voice came from. His eyes were sparkling and he seemed happy. And for one moment she thought that maybe she would leave him like that. To live with his illusions. But no. This was her husband. She owned that man and she wanted him back.

"Hey baby, I am home."

"Oh hey…"

"You are early…"

"Yeah. No case."

"What are you doing over there?"

"We are preparing a teepee…"

"We?"

"Me and Monty…We…"

"Why is that?"

"We will stay out here tonight," he smiled happily. "It's a great night."

"Can I join you?"

"Well…" he hesitated.

"Forget it. I don't like it anyways."

"Ok great. Besides it is a boys' night…Right Monty?"

"I'll bring you your pills. Something is wrong again," she said and left the backyard.

"What?" he asked as Kensi eyed him with amusement.

"Boys' night?"

"Well, you can join us if you want."

"Of course I will. I didn't build that teepee for you and your mutt."

"Hey, I helped you," he protested laughing.

"Yeah sure…"

God she was crying for a man that was hers. Typically. His heart and slowly his upset mind belonged to someone else. And she would be ok if that else was another woman. But his obsession with old love, his dead old love was beyond what her mind could take. Well, it would be romantic if that was a movie, but that was her fucking life and she wanted her man back. She slowly prepared his pills and determined as she was, she poured three drops of the new medicine in his water. He would drink water, right?

He slept with her in his arms. Talking about nothing and everything almost all night until they fell asleep. But when he woke up… Where was she? He didn't panic. She was probably making his kitchen a mess, searching for breakfast. When he didn't find here there, he didn't panic. She was probably out there somewhere running. When he left for work and came back to find an empty house, he didn't panic. She was for sure going to come back at some point, right? But when three days passed by, he got angry. How could she leave without an explanation? When a week passed by, he started becoming depressed. When two weeks went by, he got angry again. When finally a month got by, he wasn't himself anymore. Natasha thought she would get him back once Kensi wasn't in the picture. But as time flew by, she was standing helpless watching him losing more pounds, not even acknowledging her presence, becoming a shadow of himself. He would go to work, come back late at night sometimes drunk sometimes not, pretend to sleep on the couch or in special occasions next to her in bed. He would toss and turn all night until it was time for work again. She hadn't heard his voice in days. He was just tolerating her presence and that was more than she would take. Sometimes it was ok. She would find comfort in Marks's arms. But some nights were unbearable. He wouldn't even let her take care of him. She wouldn't give up though. She wouldn't make it easy for him again. Pretending that everything was fine. She had had enough. This man wasn't hers. He never was. He never will be. She understood that finally.

They were on a stakeout. He and Sam. And that was odd. Because they weren't partners. He knew something was up when he felt Sam's eyes on him. Checking him once in a while.

"What?" he finally asked.

"What?"

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know, Deeks. You tell me. What's wrong with you the past month or so?"

"I am fine."

"Oh please. I wasn't born yesterday. You are far away from fine so cut the crap and tell me what's going on."

"It's nothing."

"Well it is something, because let me tell you that. It affects your job and your life. And you are my friend. And I want to help you."

"Well thank you, but I don't think you can help me. In fact no one can."

"I would like to try though. So tell me."

"It's Kensi," he sighed.

"What about her?"

"She is gone…"

"Where to?" he asked and then shook his head as he had just said the most ridiculous thing in the world. "What am I saying God?"

"I mean…Well…"

"Deeks, you can talk to me."

"I know. It's just hard admitting it."

"Admitting what?"

"You know that I was seeing Kensi, right?"

"Yeah..."

"I can't see her anymore, Sam. And to be honest it's driving me crazy."

"But…that's what the pills are supposed to do, right?"

"I don't take them…"

"What?"

"I don't take the pills. I pretend to."

"Oh"

"But she is gone anyway…"

"Well that's good, right? I mean… that's what we wanted, right? To have your life back."

"Yeah, I suppose."

"Are you happy Deeks?"

"Not really. Not without her."

"Natasha loves you, Deeks and she is your wife now. You chose to marry her. She needs you and I don't think that she deserves what you've become to be honest."

"Natasha is cheating on me…"

"What?"

"You heard me. She is cheating on me. and for some odd reason I don't care. For some fucking odd reason I am not angry. I actually feel relieved, that someone is there for her. Because I care for her. But I can't love her. I can't love anyone after Kensi."

"I don't know what to say…"

"Nothing. You have to say nothing. There is our suspect. Let's move," he said and got out of the Challenger.

I know it's been a long time and I am sorry, but it would be great if you left a review for me. Hope you enjoyed it.
