Last Chapter's final word/words

'Well. Here goes nothing...hope I don't die...'

Rin looked around uncomfortably and followed Solis when she went to go sit at the head of the table, "You're seat is to my right." She informed him and the thief nodded, taking his seat after she had taken her's, "Servant, give the prince some wine!" the male beside Rin called and he looked over, "I supposed you wouldn't know who I am. I'm Jyx Yei, your eldest brother."

The thief dipped his head slightly, "The Yei clan is actually one of the strongest clans, am I correct?" he asked and Jyx nodded, evidently surprised Rin had known that and was obviously going to ask how he had known before a servant came up and poured a bit of wine into a crystal glass. Rin dipped his head in thanks and took a drink of the wine, though the taste was sweeter and stronger it was definite that it was strawberry wine, he smiled at the comforting flavor of the wine.

"So, may I ask where you have been all this time, brother?" Jyx asked and the thief nearly choked on his drink, the prince gave him an odd look and Rin cleared his throat slightly, "Ah, well-" "He had taken refuge in an abandoned settlement near the border of the Chang clan." Solis cut in quickly starling the thief enough to reach for the nearest blade, which happened to be a small knife that Jyx had at his side. "Oh, well it must have been hard." Jyx said as he blocked Rin's hand, the thief blinked and moved his hand back to his side, 'I'm okay, I don't have to worry...death should come quick if they are as merciful as others say...' he thought before taking a deep breath.

"My clan had no knowledge of Prince Ling being found on our border." a girl objected before looking back down when Solis and Jyx looked at her, "May Chang I presume?" Rin asked, hoping to drag the attention from the small girl to himself once again, in which he succeeded, the girl nodded and dipped her head in respect. "Yes, that's May, she has a tendency of talking out when she wouldn't." a new voice said and the thief looked across the table, a male with long braided hair was sitting on the right side of Solis.

"Coulomb, do not be rude to your sister." Solis scolded and he dipped his head respectively, "Of course mother. I apologize May." He said and Rin frowned, he'd never heard of this 'Coulomb', "But I must say, I'm surprised Jyx didn't say anything about her just speaking out like that." Coulomb stated, looking at Jyx in what the thief thought could pass as hostility.

"I did not see a reason to. We are here to celebrate the returning of our brother, not here to argue." Jyx stated and Coulomb looked like he was going to say something else but the doors to the kitchen swung open and some servants began serving food to everyone. Rin dipped his head in slight thanks and waited for everyone else to have gotten food before he began eating. "Ah, I forgot to introduce myself, how rude of me. I am Coulomb Yao, your elder brother." Coulomb said making the thief jump in surprise, he looked at Coulomb and dipped his head in respect before whipping around as the door to the large room was slammed open.

"Run! Everybody ru-!" the guard that had run in was cut off as a sword was impaled through his chest in one swift movement, Rin felt his heart flip and he grabbed the nearest blade. He was slightly relieved at the interruption so he could probably escape, but he was reluctant to now that the attackers had May. The thief might not be actually related to her but he liked the small Chang clan princess, "Where is Rin?"

Rin felt sick as his name was said by the loud booming voice and echoed in the now near silent room, there were thieves everywhere so he couldn't get out of this without being banished. "Where is Rin? Where is he?" an even more familiar voice said and the thief thought about trying to make a run for it, Sayka was darting from person to person obviously searching for him. He slowly began backing away towards some shadows hoping he could escape without being seen by anyone, "Rin!"

He froze and sighed, 'Hope has never done me much good, has it?' he wondered to himself as Sayka ran up to him and hugged him; Rin frowned and pushed her away. "Leave Sayka. It is pointless to be here, I have been caught there for I have been banished. I do not believe I will live to see the sunrise tomorrow." He stated and tears formed in the girl's eyes, "No Rin, you are the heir so you are not banished. That rule does not apply to you, so said Tomoka."

Rin shook his head and looked evenly at each of the thieves that were now looking at him, "I swore to Tomoka that I would follow each rule as a full thief by heart. I am not excluded by the rule that if caught you are banished. Now each of you leave my sights and care for Zichi, he's the heir now so make sure nothing happens to him or else." He ordered loudly and the thieves dipped their heads and began walking away, two actually having to come up and pull Sayka away by her arms, the poor girl was in tears and it made the thief regret his words. Suddenly there was a hand on his shoulder and Rin turned to look at who it was, Coulomb looked gravely serious, "Follow me."
