Liam entered his house and began marching past the living room up the stairs.
"Oh Liam, how was your day honey?!" Mrs. Geyer (formally known as Linda Dunbar) called out through the kitchen.
"Yeah same old same old!" Liam called back without stopping.
"There's some tuna sandwich in the fridge if you'd-"
"Not hungry mom!" He seethed and began walking to his room where he could vaguely hear his mom whispering something to herself. He probably thought that his response was a little…harsh but he didn't really care at that point.
He stormed into his room and shut the door immediately after and released a frustrated sigh, waltzing over to his seat.
He inhaled and exhaled deeply in remembrance of today.
He was ferociously angry and he didn't know why! Oh wait! His beta and his sarcastic nut job of a friend.
He didn't understand why his so called "called" would accuse him for being… in love with a girl and especially Sierra. Sure he may have feelings for her but that's nothing serious! (Or is it?).
And the fact that his Alpha practically order him to stop seeing his "Friend"! How idiotic is that? It's practically like saying Stiles and Lydia shouldn't see each other because everyone's afraid Stiles would wolf out on her (hypothetically speaking) but Liam's been a werewolf for a little less than six months and had to face near-death so you'd say he's learn a thing or two about control.
But apparently his friends don't see that.
He knew he'd learn control and still make time for his friends. He didn't get why he couldn't be with Sierra though, she's no different than Mason at all!
Liam was determined to remain calm over this but that was totally overrated when he found himself breaking the lamp of his room –he didn't release he had in his hands.
"Shoot!" He exclaimed as he cleared it out.
"What was that?" His mother called out from down stairs.
"Uh…nothing mom, just…." He called back.
"I hope you didn't break another lamp! You don't want me to come up there…again." She added. He chuckled lowly and sighed.
His mother was a saint but was pretty scary if she wanted to be.
"Nothing mom!" he shouted.
She didn't reply after that even though he knew his mom definitely knew that what he's saying wasn't true.
Why can't anything in his life go his way?
Then a thought flashed through his mind about the time the gang was talking about the new creatures of Beacon Hills (which he understands wasn't related to his current thought process).
He pulled his laptop out and began typing in supernatural creatures that come out of the blue –just for the fun of it because he really had nothing to do.
He recognized a piece that popped up entitled "Creatures of the Night" from the hit 80's band Kiss he learned existed in English class today.
He clicked on it though and a bunch of supernatural creatures popped up in his screen. From: Vampires, Werewolves, Were-coyotes, Cougars, Goblins, Night-crawlers, Skinwalkers, The Undead, Banshees, Dark Clouders, Slitherers, Stink-ray and…Fire Kitsunes?
A whole list of some creatures he never knew was known to man. The images that popped up would certainly scar the average 12 year old for life.
He clicked on the werewolf article and saw lots of information of the origins of the Lycaon –derived from the German language believed to have begun in 1722, with a woodcut of a blood-bathing human morphing into a wolf-ape-like creature on a full moon and soon terrorizing an entire city, feeding off their blood and outcries being uttered.
It has said in many folklores that werewolves, for example, how drinking rainwater out of an animal footprint or falling into a pit of hell in order to return as a vicious beast or the fact that witches began attacking a town and stealing the souls of all mankind and inserting it with the most unlikely animal.
The amount of pain that they go through seems indescribable. To be honest, he had it easy compared to these guys
The pictures were horrific.
He'd always wondered if maybe…there was a…
"Liam! You okay up there?" Liam's mom asked.
"Uh…I'm okay."
He immediately rolled away on his seat and hid away from the revolting picture.
He then continued to type along the cure for…lycanthrope.
Be in the presence of the primitive mind…
What did that mean?
"Oh Mason! If Liam had told me you were stopping by then I'd certainly have prepared some snacks for you too." He heard his mom talking to his best friend downstairs. "He's locked up in there. Any chance you could get him out of there?"
"Oh don't worry your kindness Mrs. Geyer. I assure you he'll be out there alright." Mason told her.
Liam mentally rolled his eyes.
Kiss up!
He felt his best friend ascending the stairs and he immediately panicked.
"Yo Liam, wake up!" Mason exclaimed as he entered his best friend's room to see him facing the door with his back hiding the notebook behind him.
Mason frowned.
"Uh…what are you doing here?" Liam questioned.
"What are you doing here? You totally stood me up, we were supposed to work on our History project remember?" Mason reminded him. Liam thought for second before groaning in annoyance.
"I totally forgot bro. I'm sorry." He sighed.
He was too caught up in being angry that he forgot his plans for today.
"Are you okay man? You've been weird this whole week," Mason said. Liam stared at the ground. "But I promised not to say anything until you're ready to tell me so…"
Liam nodded.
"I got a date for the after party this weekend." He told.
"Good for you!"
"Yeah, me and my Lacrosse Senior and you and Sierra, call it a sign or what!" He teased. Liam didn't reply. Mason widened his eyes. "You didn't ask her?"
"What's there to ask? She's probably going with a different guy and I don't really think I'm going."
"It's the party after the game. Don't you like have to go?"
"That's if we win and seeing the last games we played we won't exactly being hitting the clubs celebrating." Liam answered.'
"Uh…you're wrong. You go either way. Ever heard of 'drowning your sorrows in booze'?" Mason questioned.
Liam rolled his eyes.
"Come on, you still haven't ask her? You seriously being a wimp about this-" He laughed. "You know what! You're going to ask her. You wanna know how I know that?"
"I really don't wanna know." Liam stared up at him.
"That's because you're going to do it tomorrow! Uh huh…this is happening!" Mason pointed out. Liam chuckled. "You're going to waltz over to her with your head held high, shoulders up and greet those wonderful amber eyes and say… 'You, me, Friday night!'" Mason beamed.
"Well I be damned."
"Look dude, you have to lighten up, this may be your only shot. You're into her and she's obviously into you so you're going to do this alright?"
He was right!
Liam shouldn't care less what his pack thought about it but he was going to ask Sierra out and prove to them that he's got everything under control.
He was going to ask Sierra out…
Tomorrow…
… ….
The piercingly loud school bell erupted for class break and Liam had just left his class and walked up to his locker. In the far distance, he caught the familiar girl with the wavy creamy hair talking to one of the girls in his history class. He smiled at the way she listened to the girl, moving a strand of hair behind her ear, and the way she laughed and held her books up close to her chest where he noticed her sweet outfit. He smirked crookedly.
Sierra said goodbye to her friend and watched her walk away before turning back to her locker.
Liam took it as a chance to finally pump up the courage and do it. He looked back to see Mason giving him the thumbs up. He chuckled then released a breath and began walking over to her.
"Hey Sierra, there's this party tonight. Wanna come?" He talked to his subconscious. He shook his head. "Too lame…uh…Hey pretty lady, you and me at 8 o'clock tonight? Ugh no. she'll think I'm a prude!"
"Hey!" He greeted breathlessly. Sierra turned around and beamed up a smile when she saw him.
"Hey!" She replied with a slight squeal to the tone.
"So look uh, I wanted to ask you something."
"Oh yeah, me too, so like. So like Chelsea has a list of guys who'd in her mind 'would be lucky to go out with me'! I mean. It's practically a list for her. I don't think I'd go with anyone on that list. She expects me to date one of the guys and you're on it." She laughed. Liam laughed nervously and his grin fell. Everything in his system almost seemed defeated. "What do you think about it?"
Liam didn't reply and just hid away from her gaze and inserted his hands in his pockets and stood there awkwardly.
"I-I think that's ridiculous." He laughed nervously.
Sierra chuckled.
"I know right. I told her that I really don't wanna date, all I wanted to do was have fun with friends you know." Liam smiled and nodded. She blushed. "So what was it you wanted to ask me?" She asked.
Liam shook his head.
"It's not important." He replied.
Sierra nodded.
"Oh right! Big game tonight! You excited?" Sierra said.
"I-I don't know what to think." He said nervously and his cheeks still flustered in complete and utter humiliation.
"Well whatever happens. I know you're gonna nail it! And I know that because I'll be sitting right by the bleachers watching you kill it." Sierra smiled.
"Why, this couldn't get any more awkward!" He whispered in audibly to himself.
"What?" Sierra asked.
He shook his head and flashed a fake smile.
"Can't wait," He covered up. Sierra smiled.
"Well I better get going!" She dismissed then walked away. Liam released a sigh of defeated.
"This is going to be a long day…"
… …
The Game
Liam stood with Mason as they watched the lights come up and people popping in the field with the teams gearing up for a big showdown.
They were talking about the situation that happened between Liam and Sierra.
"She just friend-zoned you?" Mason questioned. Liam sighed. "Did you at least get to ask her?"
"She told me she doesn't want a boyfriend and that she didn't like parties so."
"So she's not coming to the after party?"
"I don't think she's coming to the game!" Liam exclaimed.
"That's rough man, really is." Mason patted his shoulder. Liam nodded understatement of the week. "Hey man! Just think about it, you don't need a girl to party. You've got your friends remember?"
"Yeah, you're right! I should just forget about. After today, Sierra Olivia Hastings been written off my mind."
"Wow! You're on full name basis now?" Mason teased and laughed. "Catch you later bro. Try not to blank out this time!"
Liam watched his friend run over to the bleachers and sat next to a dude who he immediately began talking to. He laughed and turned around to see the young Alpha standing right behind him.
He sighed.
"I bet you heard didn't you."
"I'm sorry Liam." Scott told him with sincerity in his tone. Liam nodded and rolled his eyes.
"I know you're not."
"You're right! We're not." Stiles' voice exclaimed from behind and he wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "But we know how the 'friend-zone' is. I learned that the hard way." He said, clearly referring to Lydia Martin.
"But it's for the best. At least until you gain enough control." Scott said. Liam released another exasperated sigh.
"Right, I think I'm gonna get ready now." He spun around but stopped in his tracks when he watched the beautiful girl he knew and liked a lot, taking her station on one of the bleachers with Chelsea by her tail. He sighed.
Oh boy…
The game began and the teams got ready.
Scott and Kira had a short discussion and showed their affection for each other by giving each other small kisses on the lips before throwing their helmets on and getting ready for the game.
Whilst Stiles on the other hand showed his thoughts on the game by ranting on about how he was determined to make this year's Lacrosse champions count before leaving BHHS. Liam knew that was unlikely to happen.
The coach finally gave the team a pep talk where Liam got lingering/angry glares at Brett. What was this dude's problem?
"There are a lot of seniors in this squad and I don't wanna be able to see your faces again understand?"
"Yes coach!"
"Uh…Coachy? Losing this game won't exactly determine whether or not we'll be held back!" Stiles said smartly.
"Oh well smartass. What job are you venturing in?"
"I don't know, but I'll still be making more money than you." Stiles said. Coach just stared at him for a second –knowing how right Stiles was – before saying,
"Okay! Have fun! Make 'em count boys!"
"Uh coach…we have a female on our team!" Stiles added. Coach began getting agitated and struggled getting his whistle and began to blow it.
"Just…go!"
The game began after that and everyone took their positions.
Liam began running the field against the opposing team.
"I'm open!" Liam exclaimed to a team member. When the ball was being thrown at him, it was caught!
But not by him…
Brett caught the ball in his net and began sprinting to the post and made a swift goal into the poles. The crowd went wild and the scores for Beacon Hills went by three.
Liam was shocked. Brett just shrugged.
"That's showbiz." He said, flashing a bright smile and running past him. Liam growled under his breath with his eyes beginning to flash yellow-golden slightly.
The game continued for the next 30 minutes, and even though the team's scores were so close to one another, he couldn't bring himself to focusing on the game but instead on the girl standing by the bleachers in her red coat and floral scarf and orange beanie. She looked beautiful!
"Keep up the pace Liam!" Coach ordered.
Liam shook his head and focused back on the game. He was caught off guard when he found himself being pushed to the ground by one of the opposing teams and the whole crowd groaned.
Scott, Stiles and Kira ran and huddled around him.
"I'm okay." Liam assured them.
"What's happening out there?" Scott asked in concern as he helped him up.
"No. I'm okay." He assured them. He watched as Brett passed him and scoffed.
The game continued from there and the scores were as followed:
67 (Visitor-Ridgewood High) 65 (Home-Beacon Hills High)
And there was only a few seconds away from the final ring for the game.
Oh boy…
The field was intense; you could sense it coming from Coach's perspired face. Scott had the ball and was so close to scoring, Liam knew he'd make it but what happened next shocked everyone. He threw the ball at him and he watched as the ball flew up in the air and had almost caused the two Ridgewood High players to collide. Liam caught the ball effortlessly and stood by his trails.
The crowd urged him to run. He stared at the time and saw that there was only 10 seconds left.
The Sun…Sierra…The Moon…Sierra…The…
10,
He began running over to the post.
9,
He bypassed almost any opposing player coming at him. He watched as Sierra stood at the edge of her seat with her fingers crossed,
5,
He was getting closer and closer to the post.
'Come on Liam…You can do it…' He heard Sierra's voice echo in his head.
3,
Two large players came at him and he literally did a forward flip over their heads and landing on the ground.
2,
The crowd's eyes widened. His eyes glowed as he held the stick firmly.
1.
He took a strong shot at the post and the ball went flying into the net and the scores flew off the just in time for that familiar bell. The crowd flew up from their seats and they literally went wild.
Sierra stood up in the air and exclaimed happily.
Liam widened his eyes and smiled as he stared at the score board.
67-70
A new school record!
Scott grinned widely and proudly as he watched his beta get lifted swiftly off the ground and into the air.
It was his moment to shine.
Coach was jumping up and down like a giddy 5-year old fulfilling his toy collection.
"There you have it folks! Beacon Hills High has made it to state championships!" The commentary retorted.
Liam shouted in the air.
He was immediately set to the ground after the series of congratulatory moments he got from the team and thanking his pack for the help. He began running over to the crowd where he was determined to see the person who made this moment possible…
Sierra…
But his smile fell when he saw Brett standing with Sierra and Chelsea.
Why was Brett so close to Sierra?
Brett gave him a sly smirk without even having to look at him. Liam growled and his eyes began to glow and his pulse began to rise.
He felt his claws stretching through the fabric of the gloves.
He pulled his helmet off and stomped off from the wild crowd.
Sierra shifted her gaze in search for Liam.
"Where's Liam?" She asked.
"I don't know. Somewhere being a dork." Chelsea teased, not drifting her gaze away from Brett who chuckled lightly. Sierra sighed as she began running over to the crowd.
She saw the two seniors running off and she didn't know why. But wherever they were, Liam was as well.
So she took the conscious decision to follow them…

A/N: Hey everybody! I'm back! I'm terribly sorry for the wait but I hope this chapter was worth it! I've been really busy lately so updates will be cut short but hey! If I get reviews for this one, I'll surely make time for this to be updated almost-regularly…
Anyway, what did you think about this chapter? Did you like it? What was your favorite highlight? Lots of drama in this one but that's what #TeenWolf's about right?
I'm so outraged that Sierra/Liam isn't canon already! Ugh! Are you guys too? And what's Brett's deal? I mean! Why do you hate adorkable Liam so much? Mason and Liam are cutsicle aren't they?
Review, follow, and favorite!
