When Gray got back to the room, he honestly didn't know what he had been expecting. While he didn't entirely think that anything intimate was going to happen between them (even though there was a small ray of hope) he also didn't think that nothing was going to happen either.

When they got back to their room, Gray had expected a kiss, at least. But nope, all Natsu did was get ready for his date with Bree. Yuck. Gray still hoped that Natsu would call it off and maybe they could spend a bit of alone time together.

Right now, Gray was laying in his bed, quietly groaning, as Natsu finished getting ready. He really didn't think that it was necessary that Natsu actually had to get ready just for some stupid dinner with a girl that Gray wished they had never met. The only good part about this whole thing is they might get some useful information about their job. But Gray could think of a million better ways to get the information than some damn stupid date!

"I think this looks good, don't you?" Natsu asked looking at Gray. Said boy looked up from his position on the bed to look at Natsu. He did look nice to Gray, he always did, but Gray was to much in a foul mood to tell him the truth.

"No, I think it looks terrible. Maybe you should take it off." He said with a hint of seduction in his voice. While it did make Natsu's face turn red a bit, he made no motion to take off his clothes. Much to Gray's dismay.

"Gray, I'm serious here." He told him with a stern look on his face. This only proceeded in making Gray roll his eyes.

"If you really care that much about how you look just for dinner, then why don't you go ahead and marry her already." He said with obvious annoyance in his voice.

"Is that jealousy I hear in your voice Gray? I didn't think you were one to get jealous," Natsu said smiling a little to himself. "Well, you were wrong weren't you?" Gray then got off the bed, walked over to Natsu and wrapped his arms around his waist. "So, just call off this stupid date and we can hang out instead" he said with amusement as Natsu shuddered a little but didn't push Gray away.

"I can't do that, we need the information. Why don't you go look around the town some more so you won't be bored" Natsu suggested. This only made Gray scowl some more as he looked down at Natsu.

"You don't get it do you? It doesn't matter what I do while you're gone, what matters is that you won't be there with me to do it. Instead, you're going on some stupid date with some stupid girl just to get some stupid information." Gray said angrily, while he wasn't sure if he should have called the information stupid since it could help them rescue those kids and other people, he sure as hell thought that the other two things were stupid.

Natsu looked at Gray with a confused face. He slowly reached his hand up and touched Gray's face softly. "Is this really all about Bree?" He asked looking into Gray's eyes. Said ice Mage could only turn his head away from Natsu as he clicked his tongue. Damn that Natsu for being so cute and good at reading Gray.

"No, I guess it's not," he said still avoiding Natsu's eyes. For whatever reason, Gray couldn't look at the rosette as he admitted this. Maybe it was because of the closeness of the two, or perhaps it was because Gray just wasn't to confessing his feelings.

"Look, I didn't even realize that I had feelings for you until we started this mission. I guess I had some suspicions but I just kind of pushed them down until now. And now that I realize that you actually like me back, well, it's a great feeling. But, I just got you to myself and now some bitch wants to try and take you away from me. That's why I don't want you to go, because I only want you beside me. Look, I may sound like an old romantic, but I just don't want to loose you when I just got you." He said rubbing the back of his neck and still not looking at Natsu.

As for the fire Mage, he had his mouth slightly agape as he stared at the taller boy who now had a slight blush on his face. Seeing that Gray was feeling troubled at Natsu not saying anything, he just gave a small smile and leaned up to give Gray a small kiss on the cheek.

"It's ok, Gray. No one will take me from you. Bree might try but she won't get very far. Because the truth of the matter is," he hesitated for a moment as if afraid at what he was about to say before giving himself a small nod. "I think I love you, Gray Fullbuster." He finished looking up at him with a straight face.

Gray, on the other hand, was having a hard time believing what he just heard. Natsu had actually just said that he loved him. Was Gray dreaming? If so, his mind was set on never waking up again. This just had to be some sort of fantasy in the back of Gray's head. No way was Natsu going anywhere now. He knelt down and picked up Natsu, carrying him over his shoulder. Natsu seemed to make a very unmanly squeak when Gray did this.

"Gray! What do you think you're doing?" Natsu said trying to get out of Gray's hold.

"There is no way that I am letting you go out with Bree now. Not after what you just said. Because, believe it or not, I love you too. And I don't think I do, I am one hundred percent certain." He laid Natsu down on the bed before climbing in with him and wrapping his arms around him once more. Natsu was debating whether he should actually stay in the room with Gray or if he should be getting up since he had to leave soon. Choosing the option that was better for the sake of the mission, he untangled himself from Gray and got up earning a very frustrated noise from Gray.

"Why can't we ever just have a nice moment." Gray said frustrated. Natsu looked at him and gave him a cute smile.

"Because we have missing people to find and this is the fastest and easiest way to do it. We can talk more about it tomorrow, ok?" He told him as he fixed his clothes and that had gotten slightly messed up when Gray threw him on the bed. Gray just mumbled something under his breath but deep, deep, deep down, he knew Natsu was right.

"She should be here pretty soon" as if on cue, a knock came from the door. Natsu looked back at Gray who had a very dark scowl on his face. He smiled apologetically at him and went over to open the door. There stood Bree with a sweet smile on her face and a strapless black dress with boots to go with it. It made Gray sick.

"Hey there pinky, you ready?" She asked happily. Natsu nodded and turned around to wave at Gray one last time before he was out the door. Gray, who was still very much annoyed by the nickname, groaned loudly and tried to dig deeper into the bed. What the hell was he supposed to do now? He supposed that he could actually look around the town some more. Maybe he would "accidentally" run into Natsu and Bree. Maybe he could "accidentally" push her down a ditch. He smiled at the thought. Of course, Natsu would get upset by it.

Oh Natsu, he would forever do what it took for the sake of the job. That was one thing that Gray admired about him, his undying loyalty to the guild was something that made people drawn to him. It was what made Gray drawn to him. Someone who seemed like such an idiot, someone who was so uncoordinated in their moves, someone who made Gray feel all fuzzy and warm inside. It was the weirdest feeling. They had been rivals for the longest time and yet here they were, on a mission together starting their supposedly new relationship. Yes, it was a weird feeling, but Gray wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
