Hellooo welcome backkkkkkk This is the second part of Jacob's POV~! I do not own L4D

I was surprisingly the last one to wake within the group, surprisingly, really, due to my position. Being only in my boxers, tied up to a steaming hot pole in which my arm is leaning dangerously close too. The fact that I had lost my good arm in the fight caused the enemy to tie my other arm to my hip, which was tied to something behind the steaming hot pipe. My body was sweating profusely due to the little amount of movement my body was allowed, the hot steam from the pipe puffing onto my skin.

The others were gagged and all tied together- everyone but Ashley. That poor girl was in the middle of the room tied to a metal chair with hefty looking chains. She just looked at the wall behind us, unmoving what so ever. Her hair was pulled back, giving me a full view of her face. She was quit pretty for a dead girl, with the high cheek bones and long eye lashes; she had a face that other girls would envy. I would applaud her mother to create such a beauty, but alas, having one arm and being tied up refrained me from doing so.

I knew the situation already; I've seen it many times in the Elite base. The way they surrounded her, how they guarded us, the way they were watching everyone. This was an interrogation. I already knew why they picked poor Ashley, she was dead, and hence she can't feel pain. If she didn't answer they could harm her to torture us, to make us answer the question. These normal soldiers would just hand them what they want, they don't know how to endure.

A man walked in, making the others move out of his way.

Ah, so this is the ring leader.

The gasp that managed to escape from David's mouth caught my attention. He must know him. I gave a good look at the man; he was slender but also well built. He had an eye patch over his right eye, giving him the classic rugged look. His hair was long and greasy, and having it in a low pony tail didn't help the fact that his hair was disgusting. His facial hair has untrimmed and wild, making him look more like a wild beast than a human. His eyes were a forest green, but the light died in them a long time ago, making the forest a murky swamp color.

"Well, well, well isn't it my old teammate, David. How you been? You're not looking so good." He stalked on over to us looking at each indivual in the eyes, sizing them up, deciding which one was a real threat. The ring leader didn't even bother to take a look in my direction since he already knew what kind of threat I was.

Once he was at David he gave him team another look over before he actually spoke to him. "Where's Victoria? Did she already die? Man, I knew she would die some way or another- just by hanging out with that Hunter, I knew. Oh you do...remember me right?" The man's face got darker with repressed memories reliving the days he spent with David. David said nothing; he just sat there glaring at the man in front of him, giving no indication what so ever that he knew him.

"It's James~. You know, the fucking guy you left to die taped to the gas station. THAT JAMES!" James punched David's jaw, sending his head back into the wall. I raised a brow not really thinking that a sane David would leave a teammate behind, which lead me to believe that this James must of been some trouble. James went over to Ashley to cup her face, bring it up to look at him. A smile adored his face as he brought her face close to his.

"Ahh what a beauty." Disgust washed over me when I saw him force poor Ashley into a kiss. His people snickered as David's team shouted profanities at him. I watched and endured as she tried to squirm away from his attacking mouth.

Sobs escaped her lips as her cried picked up but instead of him backing off he took the advantage and invaded her open mouth.

Endure.

James backed out of the kiss, a string of saliva connected their mouths. He wiped his mouth, a smirk plastered on his person, "such a waste of beauty."

"You're a fucking monster," Ashley spat into his face. Bad move Ash, James seems to be the type of person who-

James gave Ashley a look I couldn't see, but whatever it was, her face faltered. I watched as James got up to whisper something to the two men who were near Ashley before he made his way out of the room.

That's when it started.

They were quick to start their job, they smiled as they gathered their tools. Saws, hammers, pliers, knives, you name it and it was there, on the table behind her- for us to see and her to feel. I was wrong about the interrogation, about the questioning. I was wrong about everything I thought I knew. These people are no longer in their right minds they were long gone only on this earth to inflict pain on innocent people.

As they grabbed the pliers I zone out. I couldn't hear David's team screaming for them to stop, begging for them to stop. All I could see is Ashley hyperventilating, and all I could hear is those background screams at training. Flashes from when I had to endure pain to become who I am today flashed within my mind. My heart hammered within my ribcage as they forced her clawed fingers to spread.

Endure.

Her screams caused my flashbacks to heighten. I started to sweat as I looked at what they were doing to her. The urge to thrash about came and went as she slowed their pace, enjoying as she strained against her restraints, as her screams echoes within the room. Once they were done with her hands they moved to her toes. Her screams mixed with the screams in my head, the screams of humans being beaten by other humans.

Endure.

Now the saw, the rusted saw was brought into view. Her head whipped back and forth, her eyes crazed. My chest was on fire as I saw them bring that saw to her wrists, just before they started another flashback flashed it's way in. The way they would bring in all the broken souls to tell you that you would not be put into groups. That you would now endure pain together so you could grow together.

Endure!

I burned my back in my haste of feeling antsy, I switched feet not liking being in my skin at the moment. I tried to look away as the brought the pliers back, I tried to block out the sight of them forcing her mouth open or the fact that this brought unwanted memories. Endure Jacob you must endure. Enduring everything is what I need to do. I decided that I would look at David's team but their screams fell deaf. I couldn't handle the look on their faces- they're too desperate.

ENDURE!

Ice cream scooper, the ice scream scooper, her eyes, they need to take out her eyes. I closed my eyes but I could still hear it. At this point I kept burning my back, my arm was starting to smell like burnt flesh, but I endured.

I HAVE TO ENDURE!

I can't let my team down, but I have no team right now. All I have is David's team. David's team-my team-endure. OUR TEAM, ENDURE FOR OUR TEAM!

Hours, it felt like hours before things died down. Her screams turned into quite sobs as no tears left her face. It was when they dragged Ashley out of the room that I opened my eyes. Blood was everywhere, the dark substance was dripping off the chair and the floor was like a dark void that would devour you if you dared to step foot in it. The table in the back held her parts in order from the biggest to smallest. They made sure that the eyes would face our way just to make us sick. The room smells of nothing but blood, the coppery stench burned my nose, making my mouth taste like pennies.

After it seemed like everything quieted down, the gun shot that sounded shocked us all, the direct giveaway that our dear friend Ashley was now dead. I heard Tyler sob, David grind his teeth and even Tiff sigh. But I felt nothing but a headache, yes my chest tightened, but I waved it off as my episode cooling down.

"Psst, Jacky waky~" I looked up to the vent above the table to see the eyes Marcelo and the glowing eyes of a Witch behind him. "We came here to rescue you captain."

Endure.

"Cristina, welcome back."
