Heyyyy so this is David's POV. Haven't you noticed that the chaps are getting shorter? Well it's cause it's nearing the end of the story! Sad ik. I do not own L4D and enjoy!

They were nice- too nice for their own good. They made a copy of the dome, a lively, open city. The buildings were being rebuilt- it was a safe haven to the infected. The infected made their own shops, their own government- their own everything. They even gave us a house to live in, our own little sanctuary. After the first month they were already accepting us as family, although some did give us nasty looks, they liked us. Nathan left us the moment we entered the city, leaving us in the hands of one of the Jockeys. He was nice while he showed us around, but whenever we tried to get answers from him, he would say that we would have to take it up with Nathan.

I sat in my house, looking at the mess I created. But in truth it wasn't my fault, I was being attacked. Each day I get attacked by them. No one believes me- they wouldn't even if I told them. They wouldn't believe that my dead friends and family come back to try and kill me. That within the chaos of the fight, He is in the shadows looking out at me, telling me to just let me embrace him. So he could show me the light- the light of death.

I trembled as I looked around me, trying to come up with a plan for tonight, knowing that they would come again. Pictures that once were laid upon the wall were scattered about the floor, little shards of glass like mirrors, that if I dared to look into, I would see their reflection. The decor was all broken, various items stuck in the wall plaster, while other items were stacked so high, if a feather were fall on it, then entire pile would collapse. The ceiling fan was barley hanging on by the shaft, spinning around and around on it's maximum setting. I looked up at it, licking my chapped lips, wondering if that fan would fall soon, beheading me. That would surely please the demons.

My legs were sore and bruised from the fight just two hours ago. Looking outside, I saw the empty void they call night. They dare not put lights on at night, afraid that humans would find them- but even we found them, lights or no lights.

Tyler would of come over to check on me, like he usually does, telling me that I should go to the doctor- a Smoker can't tell me with them- but I refused telling him. I don't need help, I only needed solitude.

I had blocked the doors along with some of the windows, but they seem to always come inside to kill me. How? I pushed my sofa's to the doors, even barricaded the windows, so how can they come past my line of defense? The ground suddenly started to shake.

"They're back," I whispered. I ran to the upstairs bathroom, jumping off book shelves that littered the stairs. As I struggled to push aside the dresser from the bathroom door, I could hear my barricade crash.

"Daaaavviiiddd!" I froze, hesitating, deciding whether to look down the stairs or not. But after a few seconds, I turned, noticing that they brought Skittlez this time. When they bring Skittlez, it's the worst because they know that she can hurt- hurt real good. I need to hurry and move this, she's coming- I can hear her making her way up the stairs. When I finally moved the dresser, my heart raced, as she was already halfway up.

"You can't hurt me any more than you already did, David!" I pushed the dresser down the stairs, not even staying to make sure it hit her, I ran to the bathroom, pushing the sink I detached a day ago to block the door. I grabbed my knife and on the wall wrote the time it started.

2:17am

I turned on the water swiftly, the knob making my hand hurt. Water burst from the spout, ice cold water pooling over the sink and onto the floor. The chilling water began to fill the room, the water pipe shaking as gallons of water flowed out of it. If I'm in water they can't find me- they can't swim- I can drown them. The mirror under the water, it's multiple shards holding the glaring eyes of people I couldn't save. The bathroom light began to flicker. He's here! I covered my ears, refusing to hear anything he said. I hate it when she and Him and together! I shut my eyes as the bathroom door shook, someone trying to open it.

"David?!"

"Shut up, GO AWAY!"

"DAVID, OPEN THE DOOR! PLEASE!"

I pressed my hands tighter to my head, my eyes hurting from tightening them shut. "SHUT UP, YOU CAN'T HURT ME! YOU CAN'T HURT ME! I REFUSE TO LET YOU! I REFUSE! REFUSE, REFUSE, REFUSE!" The frozen water was starting to pool around my feet, beginning to numb my body. I suppressed the shivers that shook my body. Shivering is for the weak! Faint yelling could be heard on the other side of the door. "Can't get me, can't hurt me. Can't get me, can't hurt me. Can't get me, can't hurt me," I chanted.

My chant lasted a good fifteen minutes before they broke down the door. It toppled over on the sink, causing it to crack in half. The broken sink was lifted out of the doorway by more than one pair of hands. Here they come! I grabbed my knife, throwing it at anybody within my line of sight. The knife plunged deep into someone's right in arm, while I laughed. I got them! I got them, now I just need to kill it for good so they won't come after me again!

I got up, ready to pounce on the demon, ready to finally finish them off, but they tackled me first, bring me down by force. I thrashed about, trying to pry away the many hands that tried to keep me down.

"David it's me, Tyler! Please calm down!" Hands cradled my face in such a manner a mother would do to their child, to bring comfort. I looked up to find Tyler cradling my face, his face clouded over with worry. His eyes were glassed over, the tears pooling at the corners of his eyes, but never did they drip down. Looking to see who was holding me down, I found that it was hands, but a chargers hand in fact. The water that was filling the room wasn't even pooling around my feet like I thought it was. The water was just dripping from the pipe.

"You coming back to us David?" I looked back at Tyler, noticing my knife in his bleeding arm. He was in his PJ's, the blood spattered on his white tank top while some of it dripped onto his black boxers. With every movement, his built body flexed every now and then, and his hair was set up in a messy bed head style. It would of turned me on if I wasn't pissed by the fact that he didn't truly love me! He was just a spy!

"He needs to be contained," a new voice popped in. Tyler turned, giving me a quick view of who it was. Seeing Nathan actually standing in my doorway all calm sent new wave of anger throughout my body.

"W-what do you mean 'contain'?" Tyler walked over to him, his body was blocking my view of Nathan. The only thing you could see of the Hunter was part of his hood that was still hiding his face. "You know what I mean. He's a hazard- he's destroyed the house we provided for him and he's attacked you. He's unstable, he need's to confined to where he would be safe, where you would be safe."

"But Nathan-!"

"No. My word is final. I'm sorry Tyler, I know how much you love him but this is for the best. I will allow for you to go see him, but that's all I can do." I saw Tyler's shoulders drop. Tyler began walking away without looking back. Nathan uttered some growls to the Charger before he also took his leave. The Charger began to lift me, but I struggled.

"Put me d-" A sharp pain at the back of my head caused me to black out.

When I awoke, I was in one of those padded rooms, strapped in a straight jacket. The only source of light was the small rectangle window that was high on the wall, showing the bright sunny day a thing that was rare now a days. The walls were brown from decay and leftover blood. My nose stiffened at the musty smell that lingered in the room. My chest feeling as if it was about to cave in. This wasn't a safe place. They could find me in here!

I paced around the room, trying to find a sliver of hope to any escape, yet coming up to nothing. My hopes were slowing evaporating. The jacket itself was itchy, making my already irritation increase with every passing moment. I was left here. They didn't want me. Those were the thoughts that were currently passing the emptiness of my mind. My team would rather have me rot away in a nasty padded cell than try to help cope with me. Shows you what kind of team I have, if you can even call it that, with a traitor of a guy and a bitch traitor of a girl. Skittlez and Nathan along with the Elites were their own groups, leaving me with the two traitors.

Looking back outside I saw that it was night once again. This terrified me. Where they back again? How long have I been standing here thinking? How long have I been in here in general?! The sound of unlocking doors sounded, someone was comming in my room and if it was them I wasn't prepared to fight them. If they brought Skittlez or even Him-

"David, you OK? I-I came to check up on you." It was the worst of them all. Tyler.

"The fuck you want? To knock me out and feed me to those infected?!" He flinched back obviously hurt by my words. I could care less about his feelings- if he think he's feeling betrayed he should think how I feel. "Why am I here Tyler? No, How long have I been here?" I wanted to know, I have no reason to be here, and they need to

understand that. I'm not crazy, no, I'm being attacked, but they just refuse to believe me.

"Oh sweetheart, love, they want to keep you safe. A-and three weeks. I told you this last-"

"Are you telling me I'm dangerous?"

"...Yes..."

"Who...the fuck...do you think you are, telling ME THAT I'M DANGEROUS! TO WHO, HUH? WHO TYLER, TELL ME THAT!"

"TO EVERYONE DAVID!" Silence came between us. I was too busy being shocked into silence to think that he would put me in here. Just because he thinks I can't be out on my own, because I'm 'dangerous'.

"Get out."

"David I love you-"

"Out. Now."

"-and I know deep down you still feel the same-"

"Out. Tyler. Now."

"-but it hurts me to see you like this and-"

"GET THE FUCK OUT TYLER!"

"-I just want to keep you safe." And with that he left, enclosing me to this prison just like The Dome enclosed me from the outside world. Funny.
