A/N: Sit down and ask yourself, do you really think I own Pokemon?

Hurtling through the air was definitely not the ideal way to spend the day before Christmas Eve, but for a certain trio it was something they were forced to experience. Suddenly they collided with the ground in a painful heap however they were quickly able to scramble back onto their feet and dust themselves down.

"I told you that stupid machine was a terrible idea!" A woman with dark blue hair exclaimed angrily.

"I'm sorry, it said in the manual it was the ideal method of transport!" The male with black hair announced in a deep yet slightly camp voice added.

"Well anyway we'll have to get back...hang on a minute where are we?" A third member who seemed to be shorter and had short blonde hair asked.

The group knew the lay of the land pretty well as they'd spent nearly all of their time that they weren't feverishly devising traps or machines being sent to obscure locations or trying to find the best spot to attack unsuspecting trainers from.

"Well the boosters on the rocket did explode quite a lot, they sent us far away." The black haired male admitted.

"Don't be ridiculous, we probably just got a little amnesia from landing on our heads!" The woman yelled.

"Hang on a sec, there's a road!" The third member explained in a distinctly Brooklyn accent.

At that point a boy ran along happily with a Fletchling flying around happily above and around him. It was performing loop the loops, somersaulting and barrel rolling happily in the air. However the group's gaze was fixated on the small bird that happily spun around him.

"Wait, that's a Fletchling! It's native to Kalos!" The blonde member exclaimed when the duo disappeared.

"Which means..." The man began.

"We're in Kalos! And these people have never seen any of our schemes!" The navy blue haired woman continued.

"Which means a tonne of pokemon ripe for the picking!" The blonde finished.

"Let's go!" The three yelled synonymously before they began to discuss and formulate a solid plan.

This was their debut and they had to make it big and make it work.

Meanwhile...

Skylar looked around the boutique with a resigned look on his face, he'd decided to try and buy something for his mother there but upon seeing the woman's section he just turned around and decided to look for something else, meanwhile Tyler was looking through hats contentedly, hidden behind a shelf.

"Alright, let's go." Skylar explained.

Tyler however looked up while holding something on the shelf.

"Hang on, what do you think?" He asked as he stepped out and placed a hat on his head.

Skylar burst out laughing. And it wasn't just the hat, although that in itself was hilarious, it was a white cowboy hat that was taller than normal and had a blue band around it. It was what he was wearing that put the boy in hysterics.

The older trainer was wearing a formal outfit. Except nobody had bothered to alert him that it was designed for oil millionaires. It was a tan suit seemingly made of leather which made him look like some kind of demented cowboy. Underneath the tan jacket was a white shirt and upon Tyler placing his hands into his jacket and pulling them out while holding something it became painfully obvious that he was wearing suspenders.

All the while he was rocking back and forth on his boots which were complete with spurs on the back and two Sevipers on either side of the boots. Skylar ended up on the floor.

It was just too much for him to handle. The more experienced trainer had been an inspiration to him and given him strength quite a lot recently so to see him dressed in such ridiculous attire reminded him of the jovial side he'd demonstrated so much upon their first encounter and early time together.

"So is that a yes?" The boy asked some of his blue hair poked out from underneath his cowboy hat.

"One half of me is saying hell yes and the other half doesn't even want to know you right now." Skylar explained as he managed to force himself up.

Some of the shop assistants were giving him strange looks but they were suppressing smiles at Tyler's choice of attire.

"Never tell me the odds!" Tyler replied audibly while quoting Starmie Wars.

Skylar just shook his head wistfully with the grin still apparent on his face and a tear dripping from his eyes, following quite a few before it.

Just buy it." The younger trainer explained.

"Yes sir!" Tyler energetically replied.

Suddenly he ran off towards the counter to pay and upon hearing shouts of. 'What do you mean I can' tubby it while I wear it?!' Skylar shook his head.

"What have I done?" He muttered to himself.

Soon all was said and done and Tyler had payed an obscene amount for the suit he was carrying around with him in a plastic bag. He did however get to wear the hat so that counted for something.

"Alright, we should head back to the Pokemon Centre, they can keep things in storage for you." Tyler explained as they walked back.

"Pokemon Centre's seem to be able to do pretty much anything. They can give you accommodation, I think I've seen people eating there and now they act as storage as well as healing your pokemon! How do they not run other businesses out of town?" Skylar asked.

"Um...the food at Pokemon Centres is only okay?" Tyler asked in response.

Skylar merely shook his head.

As the hospital was onto down the street from the boutique they were soon standing right outside the door which was when they saw a colorful poster advertising some kind of Christmas Party. Christmas was only two days away and Skylar was already out shopping for gifts, he'd never realized it was so hard!

"That looks fun." Tyler explained as he read the details.

"When's it gonna be?" Skylar asked curiously.

"Christmas Eve, 8:00pm till 8:00am. It's for trainers and there'll be refreshments, food and entertainment!" Tyler explained.

"You're wearing that ridiculous suit aren't you?" The younger trainer asked.

"Of course!" Tyler replied.

"Naturally." Skylar replied with a sigh.

Meanwhile...

The trio rubbed their hands excitedly, their ploy had seemingly worked, their party was the talk of the town. They'd played to the greatest weaknesses of Kalosians, fine dining, fashion and festivities and with Christmas so close they were all likely to be in a festive mood.

In addition it would be fantastic Christmas present for their leader, he would love to see countless pokemon from a distant region. They imagined the look on his face when they all arrived at his office and he had to look through them all only to find that none of them were native to any of the regions he had branches in.

He'd undoubtably reward them by showering them with money and most likely promotions, they might even make them the heads of the Kalos branch that they would undoubtably set up afterwards!

"This plan is foolproof!" The blonde haired male exclaimed happily as he carried plates towards one of the tables.

He was dressed in a waiter attire as well an odd looking mustache that wasn't actually blonde but rather black. Meanwhile the male wore a false mustache as well as a waiter attire while the female had a pair of wide rimmed glasses with her waitress costume on in order to conceal her identity just in case anybody recognized them from the news or last adventures.

"I agree! We're just lucky that the people who had booked this space had to cancel." The male replied with a sly grin suggesting that what they'd done wasn't exactly legal.

"Ha, soon we'll have all the pokemon from every trainer in this town!" The female happily exclaimed.

"This is going to be great." The trio sang happily in unison as the continued to set up the area.

Meanwhile...

Skylar awoke and blinked slightly, after learning of the party the day had just flown by, he'd purchased his own attire to wear to the party and after that had gone shopping for Christmas presents for most of the day afterwards only taking a break when the two of them needed some lunch.

Later the duo ate dinner at the Pokemon Centre and ended up going to bed early. Tyler had been impressed by the fact that Skylar went to bed so early. When he'd first become a trainer he'd stayed up all night because he could for about two days but he eventually just collapsed in the middle of a fight and had to spend about three days in bed.

Getting up the trainer noticed that there were many other trainers in other beds around him along with Tyler. The Pokemon Centre offered numerous rooms each of which contained numerous bunk beds, they could be called cosy at best but it was certainly better than sleeping on the hard ground in the cold like some unprepared trainers did when they were journeying.

In addition if somebody turned up late due to training, a battle or because they'd just tried to make it to a town in a last stretch they offered sleeping bags in a large common room, they certainly did their best to accommodate everybody.

As Skylar walked out after grabbing his towel he noticed a huge queue for both the bathroom and the showers. He thought back to the number of trainers all sleeping in his room and realized that quite a few must have come for the Christmas party, there must've been advertisements all over he place.

Walking down the hall a small distance he noticed a group of trainers in pajamas sitting on the couches and talking amongst themselves, laughing and joking with one another, it was apparent that they all knew each other at least to some degree.

"Hey, Skylar!" A familiar voice called and upon turning towards it he saw a familiar face indeed, Kaila was walking towards him dressed in a loose yellow t-shirt with a lightning bolt on it and grey tracksuit pants.

"So Kaila, you're here for the Christmas party?" The younger trainer asked.

"Yup." Kaila replied with a yawn.

"People from all over seem to have come around, some of these people look pretty tough." Skylar replied.

"Yeah, this party is gonna rock!" She replied.

It was at this point that Tyler stepped out of the dormitory with his usually messy hair looking even worse, the blue tips hung well over his face and he had to brush them away to keep them out of his eyes.

"Hey man, you score just while I was asleep?" Tyler asked while yawning, his humor shining through even while he was half asleep.

"W-what?" Skylar stammered out.

"We just met yesterday, he bought me a drink." Kaila explained suddenly realizing how badly that had come out.

"After I sent her first drink flying!" Skylar added hastily.

"Yeah sure, well just remember that the Pokemon Centre separates based on gender so you'll have to be crafty about sneaking in." Tyler explained before heading off towards the shower leaving the two trainers standing behind him looking mortified.

"Sorry about him, he's got an odd sense of humor." Skylar apologized.

"Uh okay, I'll take your word for it." Kaila replied while rubbing the back of her head.

"Well, see you later." The younger trainer added.

"Yeah, hey we should have a rematch!" The girl explained excitedly.

"That'd be fun, but first I should probably go get ready." Skylar replied.

"Oh uh yeah. Me too." She replied as she looked down and observed her own outfit.

"Well, I'll meet outside of the Pokemon Centre." The boy explained.

"Uh yeah, if I beat you there I'll be sure to wait." She replied.

"See you soon." Skylar added as he walked off.

Kaila merely turned around and walked off back through the area with the couches and the sociable trainers. At this point one of them had released a Staraptor while another had a Raichu at the ready. They didn't look like they were ready to battle but they were probably just polishing their egos and trying to decide who the better trainer.

She was angry about the behavior of Skylar's friend but she hadn't flown off the handle because of it like she normally would. Was it because it was so unexpected? Yes, that had to be it. She was just taken by surprise.

Meanwhile Skylar noticed that some more people were starting to awaken and as such he secured his place in line for the showers at that moment with his towel strung over his shoulder, Tyler had seemingly gone in already, that was surprising. However he soon found that there were plenty of showers and that each was limited to three minutes per person meaning he'd have to work quickly.

Soon the two teens were walking down the stairs to grab some quick breakfast and then go out and meet Kaila for the battle. Tyler had been joking around with anybody who would listen and the younger trainer had tolerated it so far.

However the talking stopped when Tyler saw the cafeteria. It was set up with countless different types of food all of which were kept behind glass with numerous kitchen hands serving people in line. It was a beautiful sight to two teenage boys.

"I think I'm in love. More than you are with that girl in the lightning shirt." Tyler announced with his eyes wide and a look of euphoria apparent on his face.

"For the last time her name is Kaila and I...oh I couldn't be mad here, let's go eat!" Skylar replied with a similar loom on his face as both boys grabbed a plate at the start of the queue and upon request began having their trays piled high.

They quickly found a table and began to devour the food that was placed before them, they were utterly starving and they quickly powered through all of the pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, waffles and god knows what else they'd managed to get placed on their plate until eventually They'd finished all of their food and were sitting back in their chairs utterly stuffed and slightly surprised.

"Oh god, I'm utterly stuffed." Tyler explained.

"Me too." Skylar added as he ate the last bite of a pancake from his fork.

"For once I've got nothing witty to say." Tyler added.

"I'll make sure to remember this moment." Skylar replied with a grin.

Suddenly however he felt the oddest feeling that he'd forgotten something important, it was at that point that a look of fear came into his eyes.

"Quick!" Skylar yelled as he essentially dragged the older trainer out of the dining hall much to his surprise.

Soon the two of them burst out the front of the Pokemon Centre and due to their haste Skylsr collided head on with Kaila which sent her flying backwards as she'd been facing in towards the building and also sent him flying backwards.

"What the?" Kaila asked before seeing the younger trainer who'd agreed to battle her and narrowing her eyes.

"Oh god." Tyler muttered upon recognizing that look.

"DAMNIT SKYLAR, I'VE BEEN WAITING HERE FOR HALF AN HOUR AND JUST WHEN I GO TO LOOK FOR YOU, YOU RUN HEADFIRST INTO ME!" Kaila yelled which caused Skylar who had just been sitting up to fall backwards.

"S-sorry?" He managed to eventually stutter.

Kaila sighed and managed to gather her composure as at that point a crowd had gathered around to see what was happening, getting up and leaving the Pokemon Centre Skylar grabbed a ball around his belt.

"Tell you what, to make up for it I'll choose first which'll give you an advantage." The boy courteously explained before throwing a pokeball up in the air.

"Alright Roselia, let's do this!" Skylar yelled as the bipedal flower pokemon burst from its pokeball.

"I'll ref." Tyler offered as he took his place back a bit in the space between the two of them.

"Alrighty then, you get to see how strong Elekid has become first hand!" Kaila exclaimed as she reached for her one pokeball.

She then threw it into the air and it exploded in a burst of light before the familiar bipedal electirc type appeared. It glared menacingly at Roselia and lightning crackled between its two prongs.

"Kaila may make the first move!" Tyler exclaimed.

"Elekid, use Quick Attack!" She yelled and the electric type vanished at top speeds.

It essentially blurred as it shot towards the gras type and prepared to strike it, Skylar however was prepared for such a situation and merely grinned.

"Alright Roselia, brace yourself." The male trainer commanded.

Roselia obliged and tensed its body and attempted to raise its petals in defense but was struck by the rapidly moving electric type which went it flying backwards, hurtling through the air.

"Hit it with an Absorb!" Skylar continued.

Suddenly a green beam was fired from Roselia's blue petal which hit Elekid and surrounded it in a green glow which sapped health from the electric type and returned it to the flower pokemon.

"Ugh, Elekid, break out of it with a Thundershock!" Kaila commanded.

As the electricity exploded from the small yellow pokemon and disrupted the green energy with an explosion Skylar reflected that two things had increased. Elekid's power was certainly greater but Kaila's instincts as a trainer had improved greatly. She was making solid choices in the spur of the moment and playing to the strengths of her pokemon. This was going to be more difficult than he'd expected.

"Roselia, use poison sting!" The male replied.

Suddenly Roselia sent a series of purple stingers comprised purely of purple energy at the electric type. However this was just another way to show how much Kaila had improved in the short amount of time since they'd last met. She must've trained and battled a great deal as she knew exactly what to do.

"Elekid, use Quick Attack to dodge it!" Kaila commanded and the electric type effortlessly evaded the dangerous poison based attack with enhanced speed.

It effortlessly leapt around the area while Roselia continued to fire at it. Soon however the flower pokemon began to fall towards the ground and the female trainer decided to capitalize on this fact.

"Alright Elekid, use Quick Attack to get behind Roselia!" Kaila confidently commanded.

Suddenly the electric type shot underneath the grass type and prepared to be able to attack from behind, however Skylar wasn't going to let her gain an advantage so easily.

"Roselia, spin around and keep the attack up!" He commanded.

"Use Quick Attack to keep getting behind it!" Kaila continued.

Soon the battle became an elaborate game of tag and neither were able to damage each other. At that point some trainers had released a Pikachu, Starmie and Ampharos to erect a Light Screen to protect the spectators.

By that point a large crowd had gathered around to view this battle and they hadn't been disappointed. It wasn't the most intense fight to have ever occurred but it was certainly interesting.

Eventually Roselia came close to the ground and Kails knew it was time to act as Elekid had just managed to get under her before she could turn around and attempt to hit the electric type with the poisonous attack.

"Alright, now slam into the back of Roselia!" She commanded which sent the grass type flying.

"Roselia, try to spin around and land on your feet!" Skylar yelled which gave the female teen an idea.

"Elekid, keep your momentum going and use Low Kick when it gets close to the ground!" She commanded in a split second decision.

It proved to be a good move and Roselia was sent somersaulting to the side which left it open for another attack. And Kaila had every intention to capitalize on this.

"Alright hit it with a Thundershock!" She yelled as Elekid fired a bolt of lightning from its prongs which glowed with electricity.

Roselia was sent flying back and landed on Skylar's side of the field. However the flower pokemon was able to get back up, they weren't out of it yet!

"Alright use Absorb!" Skylar exclaimed and upon command the green beam fired out, this time from the red petal of Roselia which surrounded the small electric type and caused it to flinch slightly, it hadn't regained any health since the start of the fight.

"Break out of it with a Thundershock!" The older trainer commanded and suddenly the green light was disrupted by electricity which resulted in an explosion.

Although sight was impossible due to smoke Skylar and Roselia both knew the location of Elekid and the trainer was determined to capitalize on it.

"Hit him with Poison Sting!" Skylar commanded and the grunt from Elekid confirmed they'd hit.

Due to the proximity Kaila hadn't been able to give the command for her pokemon to dodge and as such it'd bore all of the damage. But she wasn't going to give up with a fight and the battle was far from over.

"Hit Roselia with a Quick Attack!" She commanded and suddenly Elekid shot forwards with enhanced speed and sent the bipedal grass type flying.

"Now follow it up with a Thundershock!" She exclaimed in an attempt to capitalize on her success and start up another combo.

They'd so far proven to be highly successful in her battling strategy, she was skillful at stringing together moves on the fly in order to maximize efficiency while Skylar focused more on trying to counter an opponent's strategy and keep the battle in his favor before going on the offensive. And he was about to showcase that.

"Roselia, counter it with an Absorb!" He yelled.

Suddenly a green beam erupted from the blue petal and collided the blast of electricity, it had occurred to him that if Thundershock countered absorb it would work vice versa and he'd been correct as the two attacks caused an explosion.

"Get out of there with Quick Attack!" Kaila commanded expertly and the electirc type made a hasty retreat back towards her using enhanced speed.

She'd seem him battle enough to know that he would go on the offensive once more in order to turn the tide of battle in his favor. Roselia was still fighting fit and had regained energy greatly while Elekid was starting to tire and couldn't afford to take too much more damage. It was just frustrating how well Skylar's battle strategy worked with Roselia's power to regain health.

Skylar however didn't want to get caught in the same predicament with Roselia stuck in the air, spinning around violently while Elekid ran circles around it on the ground so he allowed the grass type to land before giving his order as the smoke cleared. It was indeed him who acted first due to the speed advantaged granted to Elekid by the Quick Attack.

"Poison Sting!" He commanded as the same stingers of purple energy materialized and began to fly towards the electric type.

"Dodge it with a Quick Attack!" Kaila replied which allowed her pokemon to evade the attack with ease.

"Roselia, don't act!" Skylar replied and although confused his pokemon stopped dead in its attack, not acting.

"Get behind Roselia and hit it hard with Quick Attack!" The older trainer commanded.

Elekid altered its trajectory and attempted to move around to hit the bipedal grass type from behind. A fair strategy that made use of Elekid's speed what was only enhanced by the attack, but one that Skylar was expecting.

"Turn around and hit it with an Absorb!" Skyalr commanded as Elekid appeared a distance behind the grass type.

"Elekid, leap back!" She commanded, but Elekid had to skid to a stop in order to move to the side but by that point it was too late as a beam of green energy emitted from the red petal of Roselia.

It struck the pokemon and surrounded it with green light which caused it to fall to the ground, unable to move or battle. The fight was won.

"Elekid is unable to battle, Skylar is the winner!" Tyler explained and the crowd erupted into cheers.

It had been an intense battle and the younger trainer knew that his victory had only been because when he received Roselia it was a stronger pokemon than Fennekin, if he'd fought with him his loss would have been secured, he'd really need to do a great deal of training to catch him up.

"Hey, good match." Kaila complimented him as she walked up and the two shook hands after both pokemon had been returned.

"You too, that was an intense battle." Skylar admitted.

"Yeah, but that Absorb secured you the win." She replied.

"Heh, you nearly got me though, those combos were starting to worry me!" He himself replied.

"If you two are done complimenting each other do you think we could go find some thing to do, there's gotta be some trainers here to fight." Tyler explained before gesturing around.

Standing in large groups were countless amounts of trainers many of which were battling, a Manectric and a Pidgeot engaged in an intense battle with Pidgeot flying around and Manectric attempting to hit him with Thunderbolts and a great deal of speed.

Another fight that was going on near them was a brawl between a Blazekin and a Chesnaught. The two fighting types were fighting intensely, Blazekin's speed against Chesnaught's raw power. That was likely going to be an interesting fight when it came to fruition.

"Alrighty then, I'll just have to heal my pokemon up." Kaila replied and the trio walked into the hospital for pokemon.

Soon the trio were out and about, watching intense battles, buying some food and nic knacks, even getting in a few battles. It became apparent that for all of his occasional idiocy Tyler was actually a good trainer.

"Alright Aura, hit him with a Close Combat!" The jovial trainer yelled as his Lucario speedily leapt towards the Pupitar he was facing.

"Pupitar, keep him at a distance with a Hyper Beam!" The opposing trainer, a boy of roughly Skylar's age with black hair commanded.

The middle stage pokemon fired a beam of yellow energy from its mouth which would likely send Lucwrio flying backwards.

"Dodge it with Extremespeed." Tyler calmly commanded.

The speed of that attack put Quick Attack to shame. Lucario actually vanished in thin air and the Hyper Beam harmlessly collided with the ground with a huge explosion. This left Pupitar rooted to the spot and gave Tyler a phenomenal advantage.

"Ice Punch!" He commanded.

Suddenly the dark blue pokemon appeared once more, this time directly in front of the light blue one and sent it flying with its fist encased in white glowing energy that was firstly to the touch.

"Ugh, use Dark Pulse!" The other trainer commanded.

"Extremespeed outta there Aura!" Tyler countered and once more Lucario vanished leaving the ring of dark energy flying harmlessly away.

"Now hit him with a Close Combat!" He added.

Suddenly Lucario appeared once more and delivered a brutal flurry of blows, powerful punches and kicks which eventually resulted in Pupitar collapsing down to the ground out of sheer exhaustion.

"Good match." Tyler complimented him.

"Yeah, you weren't so bad yourself." The other trainer replied.

"Too bad Aura beat him to a pulp-itar." The horribly misguided comedian added.

Skylar had to drag him away while apologizing profoundly.

Soon after that Kails found herself a good fight against a trainer using a Luvdisc, and she was able to quickly dominate after a short period of a semi stalemate.

"Elekid, hit it with a Quick Attack!" She commanded and the electric type collided with the pink water type and sent it flying.

"Now follow it up with a Thundershock!" She exclaimed.

The bolt of lightning was powerful and as always illuminated the prongs on the head of Elekid. As the water type landed Elekid decided to try something that it knew it was able to do. Raising its hands up he fired a number of stars at Luvdisc and although the attack was weak and unrefined it landed with perfect accuracy and was enough to finish it.

Eventually Skylar himself found a fight for the weaker Fennekin against a trainer using a Chespin and the type advantage that he possessed soon became all too apparent.

"Fennekin, use Ember!" The teen exclaimed.

"Chespin dodge and use Vine Whip!" The other trainer countered.

"Fennekin dodge whatever he throws at you!" Skylar commanded.

As the vines emerged from the body of Chespin Fennekin began to nimbly evade all of the attacks without a care in the world. Chespin wasn't able to ensnare or strike the fire type and so they continued their eloquent dance.

"Fennekin, get in close and use Ember!" Skylar commanded as Fennekin leapt towards the grass type.

It shot under the vines before hitting the opposing pokemon with a a close range jet of flame which hurt it greatly. The vines were able to hit it but by that point it was already too late for the opposing starter type.

"Finish it with Scratch!" Skylar commanded and it was successful with the fire type scratching the grass type.

The Chespin admirably stood but suddenly collapsed, exhaustion having overtaken it, it had already taken a few Embers if only in part due to nearly dodging them as well as numerous Scratches, hence why it fainted. As per usual the eyes of the fainted pokemon became spirals and it was over.

"Good match." Skylar complimented the other trainer as they shook hands.

As he walked back the fire type leapt into his arms and the trainer began to pet him and compliment him on the battle he'd just had. It was good to see that his pokemon hadn't lost confidence and he decided that it was a good choice to have his first battle back be against an opponent who he was sure to win against.

For the rest if the day the trio continued to shop, battle, socialize or just relax. It was turning out to be a fantastic day for the three of them and Skylar wanted it to last forever, but it was not to be and soon the trio were outside the building where the party was going to be held.

"Well, this is certainly impressive." Tyler admitted as he and Skylar walked up together.

Skylwr only nodded, dumbfounded.

The building was adjourned with decorations even on the outside, posters with pokeballs were there, a red carpet led up to the door and lights moved from side to side as people crowded in. Numerous wraiths decorated the outside as well as red and green lights and numerous Christmas presents.

The two of them had agreed to meet Kaila there and were both dressed in formal, or in Tyler's case what he considered to be "formal," clothing with the older trainer in his ridiculous white cowboy suit, hat and brown boots while Skyar himself wore a pair of black pants and a dress shirt with a maroon jacket and white handkerchief in the pocket.

It was something different to be sure but it was hardly unusual among the trainers. He saw one male trainer go in wearing a bright pink tuxedo with a group of friends one of whom wore a white body suit who were all laughing and joking around. One female trainer came in a white crop top and short skirt with a Zangoose hat and claws with the pokemon she was imitating walking in with her.

So they didn't particularly stand out although a few people shot Tyler a grin as they passed by and in response he posed dramatically which caused quite a few laughs and even a fit of hysteria from one female trainer.

Eventually Kaila walked towards the two of them. She had her long brown hair out and it reached down past her waist which surprised both of the teens. In addition she wore a yellow formal dress that was almost ridiculously short as well as a pair of high heels which made her taller than even Tyler. She took one look at them and buried her face in her hands before chuckling, she never laughed.

"You two look ridiculous." She chastised.

"Hey, I don't know about Mr Cowboy over there but I'm sinfully stylish." Skylar replied.

"What do you mean? My cowboy hat is pimping!" The older boy defended himself.

"Whatever, let's just go in." Kaila interrupted, rolling her eyes and resigning herself to her fate.

The three then walked towards the entrance and when they walked in they were utterly stunned. The decor on the outside had been quite impressive but the inside put that to shame. There were countless tables set up all around the area which had white table cloths set overt them.

Expensive lights hung above their heads and the room seemed to have unlimited space, in the centre was a large, polished wood dance floor that, judging by the markings on either side of it resembling space for trainers to stand behind could also double as a field of pokemon battle. In addition a large Christmas tree could be seen near the back and as with the outside numerous wraiths hung on the walls.

They were quickly taken to their seat by a courteous Machoke dressed in waiter attire. The group also noticed that Machoke seemed to be acting as the main workforce.

But none of them were complaining and as soon as they were seated they began talking amongst themselves.

"Well, this is more impressive than my hat." Tyler admitted.

"Yeah, who'd bother to do this for free!?" Skylsr asked incredulously.

"Probably some rich guy who used to be a trainer." Kaila reasoned.

"Maybe, but this all looks pretty expensive." Skyalr replied.

"He must really like trainers." He continued.

"Maybe the rich guy was just smashed yesterday and set this all up. When he sobered up he realized his mistake but he'd already booked it all. It'd explain why there was no advertising until yesterday." Tyler replied jokingly.

"Or maybe somebody just wanted it to be a surprise." Kaila countered.

"Honestly guys who cares? It's Christmas and we're at a party, things could be worse." Skylar interrupted before taking a Diet Poca-cola in a glass and drinking it heartily. The other two at the table grabbed their own beverages and soon the small talk had resumed.

Suddenly the lights dimmed and a man in an expensive looking suit with black hair that was slicked back and an odd looking mustache walked out to the centre of the dance floor, holding a microphone in one hand and a drink in the other.

"I would like to thank you all for coming here on such short notice." He explained.

Suddenly a huge cheer erupted from the crowd and the man grinned graciously. The cheer continued for quite a while and at the end, just as it died down Tyler piped up.

"No problem!" He yelled which caused a small laugh in the crowd and from the man.

"And I would like to propose a toast to is receiving all of your pokemon!" He yelled and suddenly the lights turned off. At that point nearly every trainer reached for their pokeballs defensively and suddenly lights began to reappear from pokemon such as Magmar whose body was made out of flames.

Suddenly a trainer called out for a pokemon to use Flash and the entire auditorium could be seen, the Machoke tried to rush the trainers but at that point it was far too late. Every trainer rapidly released one or more pokemon to combat them and they were blasted back.

Pokemon such as Garchomps, Aggrons even a Dragonite and a Hydreigon devastated the opposition. Tyler's Lucwrio, Aura, was able to repel the approaching fire types with the help of Roselia and Elekid who, although not overly strong, were still able to make a difference.

At some point the man with the black hair was captured by an Amphaross as well as his accomplices who rushed to help him. Soon the lights were turned back on and the Kalos police force had escorted the trio, who had been found to actually be members of Team Rocket judging by their uniforms found in the back room.

And with all that said and done all of the trainers realized they had nothing to do.

"Hey, I found woke uncooked food back here, it looks to be fine. We can probably, get things cooking back here if some fire types are willing to help!" A voice called.

"I can probably get some music going with the sound system here." Another added.

"And I'm the greatest host ever!" Tyler called which caused numerous groans in the audience.

"Well, looks like we've got a party!" Skylar called out and the trainers all cheered.

Soon the meals were all served and Skylar was surprised by the quality of them. Soon they were all devouring the Dendemille Log, a traditional desert of Kalos that was essentially a chocolate swiss roll with cream inside.

"You know, their plan was alright." Tyler abruptly explained.

"How so? They invited a ridiculous amount of trainers in and didn't anticipate any resistance!" Skylar replied incredulously.

"Yes, that's true but they took advantage of the three F's, the weakness of Kalosions!" He praised.

"And what are those three F's?" Skylar asked skeptically.

"Fun, fame." He began before looking cheekily at both Skylar and Kaila.

"And fuc..." He began before being interrupted by loud cries of protest from both those targeted.

Tyler never changed, but the party itself was fantastic, they danced, battled and drank late into the night. All in all not a bad first Christmas as a trainer for Skylar.

A/N: Merry Christmas all.

In this chapter I shot past my previous word record, with 6,351 words compared to 4,011 from Chapter 5. This chapter just sort of wrote itself and I'd already smashed my record on the first day of writing.

So this was a quick update to be sure, but don't expect it to always be like this, not only will there be Christmas but I'm probably not gonna be able to write this much all the time. Oh and I hope the quality didn't skip towards the end, I just wanted to get this out in time for Christmas and I hope things didn't slip too much towards the end.

Anyway, Merry Christmas all!
