Resuming the story!
I don't own the Fate series (duhh lol)
Sunlight illuminates my room, even if the dark-blue curtains cover the window. I wake up feeling great, since I don't have to worry about waking up to go to work. Yawning, I get out of my bed with my silky light-blue nightgown on me. Gilgamesh doesn't appear to be anywhere in my room, making me wonder if he left the house.
I run downstairs and grab a bowl and the cereal for breakfast. Although, I'm still curious as to where Gilgamesh is. Hopefully, my mana can sustain him so he doesn't have to go taking the life force out of innocent people. I look around. The suspense is killing me.
"Gilgamesh, if you are in spirit form, please show yourself." I look around. Nothing. Fear gets in my head. "... Gilgamesh. I swear, if you are toying with me then-" I coudln't finish since I was interrupted by a sudden laugh.
"Haha! Calm yourself, Naomi. I was only having some fun!"
Materializing in the chair next to me is my annoying Servant. Instead of his armour or his jacket he wore yesterday, he wears a white v-neck shirt with gray pants and golden bracelets on his wrists and the same type on his neck. His hair, which I'm kind of tempted to brush my fingers through, is down instead of spiked up. I slightly blush at the fact that I see some of his chest and look away.
"You made me think you had to take lives of the civilians in order to obtain mana." I look back at him, a little angered.
"You provide a perfect amount of mana. Try not to trouble yourself so much." he says, appeasing me a little.
I notice him looking at my hair and then looking straight into my eyes. He's probably curious as to why I look different from the others. A chuckle escapes my mouth and I take a spoon of my cereal.
"Woman, why do you not look the same as others?" he finally asks. I only laugh again. I gulp down the cereal.
"That's completely normal to assume that. I look different because I'm a homunculus. The Holy Grail actually created me unintentionally. The Tohsaka's adopted me when I was fourteen. That's a whole new story that doesn't really matter." I start explaining to him. I put another spoon of cereal in my mouth.
"Aren't you an Einzbern Master, then? That should be the only logical interpretation." he asks with wonder, not really expected from whence I met him.
"That is what my father had thought. When I went to see the supervisor for the Heavens Feel, long ago, I found out that the Holy Grail created me. Yet, the reason behind it remains a mystery. I have a theory that it was around the same time as the Einzbern Master and I was a fragment. I am entering this war as the Tohsaka Master. Probably because of the Holy Relic I used."
I remember when I had summoned him, the summon circle was golden. He had even said it was the gold of his era. Although, that shouldn't explain why I am the Tohsaka Master, since I am not related by blood.
"Anyway," I get back to the subject. "I am forced into participating in the war with or without a Servant. Of course, I choose to have a Servant. Although, I was hoping for the Saber class." I cover my mouth after saying that, knowing his humongous ego will be offended.
"You dare say I am a weaker being than some lowly mongrel, woman?" he speaks in an angry tone, scaring me inside. He's back to his normal self. Great.
"N-No! That's not what I meant! I just wanted the strongest class that was known, until I saw your power against Assassin!" I scream and face him with panic. I eat my cereal faster, wanting to leave soon. His irritated expression changes to that of laughter and delight.
He laughs so much he almost can't breathe. I'm just sitting here confused and laugh a little, even though I know not of whats going on. Calming down, Gilgamesh finally finds his breathe to speak.
"... You have yet ceased to surprise me, woman! It's just too cute when you try to clarify yourself." I blush madly at his remark and drink the milk in the bowl of cereal to block my face. I put the bowl in the sink and head to the stair case.
"I'm going to get ready. We have to go somewhere today and I will tell you after. You can wait outside my door!" I yell, spreading my arms and clutching my fists. He only smirks with a weird smile. I head upstairs, grab my clothes and head in the washroom, slamming the door behind me.
While the tub is filling with warm water, I brush my hair since it looks like a mess and undress myself. I jump in the tub and close the faucet. The water is very soothing and relaxing.
It is so calm and relieving not being next to that conceited prick. Why must Gilgamesh be summoned under the Archer class? Independent Action only makes him even more disobedient since, at one point, I will be completely irrelevant for him.
I close my eyes and drift asleep. Until the door swings wide open and Archer comes in, waking me up in a gasp.
"Gilgamesh! Get out!" I yell at him, splashing water at him and immediately cover all of my personal areas. Though, he had a chance to look and he took it, leaving an eerie smirk. "GET OUT NOW!" I shout out. He finally leaves, laughing much to my exasperation.
I get out of the tub, dry myself, brush my teeth and hair and dress in my usual black mini-skirt, white long-sleeve shirt and high black socks.
I exit the room and find Gilgamesh leaning on the wall with a golden cup containing wine. I look straight at him more furious than ever.
"What the actual hell?!" I ask in a raged voice. Another chuckle escapes his mouth and he looks at me. Except, he looks at my body rather than my face. I open my mouth about to speak, but he interrupts me.
"You dare speak so openly to your king?" he says with might. Jaw dropping and eyes widening, I can't help but let out a gasp of surprise.
"You are not my king, you are my Servant. And my eyes are up here, you pervert!" I yell and cross my arms over my chest. His hand continues to swirl the wine cup in his hands.
"Hmph! I truly enjoy the way you speak to me, woman. It is so defiant and very arousing," he says with a smile showing his teeth. I blush a little at his remark. "After hearing about you being a doll of the Grail, I had the curiosity of seeing how your body resembled a human's. It definitely does and I'm quite satisfied." he finished with a creepy smirk.
"Ugh, just never do that again!" I'm still very mad but hopefully he will forget about this. I let my arms down and go to my room which is right next to the bathroom.
He stays leaned on the wall and takes a sip of his wine. I put my nightgown in the laundry basket and look back at him swirling his cup, wondering about it.
"Say, where did you get that? I kind of don't have any wine here." I say and cross my arms over my chest.
"I was quite disappointed when I saw none in your little house. So I materialized my own." He says, looking in the cup being swirled in his hands with a weird grin on his face.
"So, you went in all of my cabinets without at least asking. Well, I have nothing to hide. Honestly, I've never even tasted wine before." I say looking at the cup in his hands. He stops swirling it and looks at me with surprised expression written all over his face.
There was never an interest in tasting any alcohol for me. Tokiomi always had wine in his office or something. He even offered me many times to try it, but I was never interested or curious to find out. I had literally resembled his apprentice, Kotomine, since he never had the interest of trying it. Even though he had many bottles, also, he refused to ever try. Although, he was a very strange man to me and scares me even more since he had Assassin try to kill me. Good thing he knew about my Visionary Magecraft, I hope.
"First of all, woman, I will go wherever I please, that includes when you take a bath. Second, how could you have not tasted the eminence of wine? What are you, nine-teen years old? You should have still tried it once in your life." he says getting up from the wall and walks towards me.
"I'm twenty-two! My body modifications from being homunculus make me look much younger than I really am. Also, I tend to act younger, since I was raised with children. And I thought you would call me by my name and not 'woman' all the time!" I put my hands at my side and tilt my head a little.
"Did I not just explain how I do what is enjoyable for myself? But, I can make an exception at the fact that your name does suit you." he says and gulps down the rest of the wine.
"Whatever. Okay! We are going to my parents house to conclude some business. There is something about last night's onslaught and I have a feeling Tokiomi knows about." I say while putting my red jacket on.
"Very well, let us go." he says, fading into his spirit form.
Locking the door behind me and walking to their house, something caught my eye. A bat sitting on the branch of a tree outside my house, staring at me and not even moving.
A familiar?! I think to myself. This would mean at least someone would know I am a Master. How many people saw the attack last night? I wonder if there were all the familiars of Masters watching us.
They probably know about me being the eldest Tohsaka daughter. By my appearance, they will come to the understanding that I am homunculus, giving them all the more curiosity of sending their familiars to observe me.
The walk to the mansion I lived in was very quiet and cramped. It was around the time students go to school. Some would give me a confused scrutiny, pondering whether I am a student skipping since I look younger than I really am.
I knock on the front door and wait for someone to open the door. Even if the sun shines on the town, cold wind ruffles the leaves growing on trees and whistles around me. So peaceful and beautiful that I even get distracted.
"Yay! It's Naomi!" I hear a young excited voice on the other side of the door, bringing me back. Oh Rin, my little sister.
The door shoots open and my little sister with her usual pigtails and school uniform appears.
"Hey, Rin! Long time, no see, huh?" I say with a nice smile on my face. I pick her up and put her on my shoulders like I always did.
"Whoa! I missed you, Big Sis!" she says and hugs my head. We both laugh wonderfully. I remember when it was even better when Sakura was still part of the Tohsaka family.
"Alright, Rin. Let's get you to scho- Hey, Naomi!" Out walks my mother with a little school bag for Rin.
"Aoi! So great to see you after a while!" I say and give her a nice hug.
The reason why we haven't seen each other in a long time is because I moved out and got a job. We didn't really visit each other often, except for family gatherings, because I wanted to prove that I could be more independent. I was also training myself for the time I knew about the war. I had been working on getting stronger and faster, since my magic is only good for healing and visions. Although, none of that training paid off, I'm still incapacitated.
"I would love to talk more but, we are going to be late soon. I'm so sorry to dismiss you like this but we have to go. See you again... maybe..." she muttered the last word and dragged Rin to the car and drove off.
She was protecting her daughter because she knows I'm participating in the Holy Grail War and doesn't want Rin or her to get hurt.
I walk in the door and close it. The fresh sent of my old home hits me as if from nowhere. Everything is the same and that brings a smile to my face.
"Tokiomi! Are you home?" I speak out loud. I hear footsteps coming down he stairs, giving me the response necessary.
"Naomi! How wonderful to see you!" he approaches with a smile. But I don't return it. Instead, a death glare is focused on him and my fists clenched. He loses his smile and says, "I can conjecture why you are present here." he says in a low voice and keeps his distance.
"You know very much about last night's attack." I say in a dead serious manner.
"You are correct." he says in a low voice. "There is a reason for it and I can inform you on that."
"Were you trying to kill me?" I aggressively ask, looking down.
"No! It is part of a plan to deceive the others." attempting to appease me, he states that, which only aggravates me even more.
"What is this little plan of yours? You aren't even in the Holy Grail War!" I look up, shooting a glare of great frustration at him.
"We both know how the Visionary Magecraft works. I knew you would predict Assassin heading to your house to plant an attack. Having warned Archer, you defeated one Assassin. Kirei's Servant is of many but the others are not aware, thinking that one Servant has been lost." he justifies. "There are still seven Servants alive."
"So essentially, you are skulking in the shadows waiting for everyone to kill each other with this cajolery of yours. You are making me your enemy!" I shout out and breathe heavily from my vexation.
"Naomi, that is completely false! I was called in to help Kirei in the war from the supervisor of this Heavon's Feel, since he had thought I was the Tohsaka Master. I had figured you would need it also but you refused my assistance." he clarifies.
"Then tell me! Why am I the Tohsaka Master if I'm not related by blood?" I demand, almost deteriorating the situation.
"It was originally me but I had chose you since you were going to be a Master and so that we wouldn't be at each others throats trying to murder each other for supremacy."
Silence falls and all we hear is the clock ticking away. Tick-tock, minutes, that seemed like eternities, have passed. How could he put the responsibility of winning the Holy Grail for the Tohsaka family on me from not wanting to be antagonists?
"Coward..." The absence of sound is broken by me. "You are nothing but a coward! If I am to fight in this war, it will be for myself. But you put the liability of granting the Holy Grail to the Tohsakas?! You are a horrible father!" I yell infuriated and storm out.
"I was going to take your place once you disappear!" I stop. Slightly turn my head. My mouth opens to say something, but no words come out. Shock, anxiety, fear fills me and my heart beats a thousand times faster. Even Tokiomi doesn't say anything, grasping the fact that he shouldn't have spoken.
"... W-What?" Tears well up in my eyes, still surprising that I'm not bawling. They drip down my cheeks and I face him. "I'm going to disappear?!" I cry out and feel my face burning as I shed tears that have been missing a long time. He remains silent. "Tokiomi!"
"Once the vessel of the Grail appears, you will be apart of it and be nonexistent in this world. You will die near the end of this war." he says in such a sorrow manner, holding back his own tears.
How could this be? I think to myself. It's only reasonable. I am a fragment of the the Grail. Once the vessel appears, I will fade away and be part of the Grail. Believing it is hard, but not believing about this is worse.
"I will win the Holy Grail. If your plans are ruined because of me, don't expect me to be on your side. You just created this battle between us." I finalize and leave the house, shutting the door behind me as even more tears flood my eyes.
"That was quite an uproar." the voice who didn't sound as haughty spoke up. Gilgamesh materializes next to me as I walk to the park and away from Tokiomi's house. "Do you really think you will be gone near the end of the war?" he asks while wiping the tears off my red face, calming me down. It's actually very sweet.
I don't want to believe it, but it all makes sense. I just don't answer and cease my crying. In the periphery of my eye, I notice Archer actually looks concerned for me.
"Let's go to the park. I need to cool off and relax a little." I point forward. Even if it is a little dark, the park will be empty. He nods and I manage a smile.
A big beat hits my heart and my head feels somewhat dizzy. I stop and clutch my chest, looking at the flash in my mind.
A/N: Start music
A knife. Someone shoots it at me in my back, tumbling to the ground. I'm not dead but I wish I am. The stinging pain unbearable. A demon approaches me with a spell book in his hand and a young man next to him, drenched in blood. "...Caster...?" is the only word escaping my mouth. In a second, I am surrounded by satanic monsters. Archer already fights them off but I can't move or use my magic. I slowly and painfully die.
"A vision?" Archer looks at me, getting ready to change into his armour.
"Yes. We must be on guard at all times. Caster is near us." I say and look around and find the lack of civilians. Fuyuki really is a different place when night comes.
"It would be best if we make our way to your house now." he says and I nod.
We walk back to my house, Gilgamesh refusing to dematerialize for my safety. Oh, why does every second he spends with me, he finds some way to make me attracted to him? Even when he flirts with me, it makes me feel honored to hear that from a king.
The houses around us look familiar to those in my vision. Caster will appear around here. The vision repeats itself in my mind right now.
A knife shoots straight for my back, but I remember the vision. I move to the right where Gilgamesh quickly changes into his armour and spiked up hair.
"Well, faker? Will you come out?" Archer calls out. Two people laugh, one a young man, the other a crazy voice I can't quite describe.
"Well, looks like someone might have different blood from the rest of them. Don't you think, Big Guy?" a young man with orange hair, a purple jacket drenched in blood appears out of the shadows while twirling a knife. Next to him is a much larger being with clothes quite weird and a spell book in his hand. Caster and his Master.
"Mongrel!" Archer yelled, pushed me back and made some weapons from the Gate of Babylon appear.
"Huh? Come on, Big Guy! You can take them!" the young man yelled joyfully with his fists in the air.
The Servant gave a fearsome grin and out of nowhere, monsters appear all around us. Mana emitting from the book in his hand.
I clutch my chest and breathe heavily, nervous for what is to happen.
