Spoiling the End: An Author's Copout
Hey, folks. I've moved on from writing fanfiction, although I still read it voraciously. However, I feel particularly guilty leaving Permafrost and A Light sitting here, forever unfinished. So, I decided to post the details of the remainders of the plot of those two stories, so you folks need not wait in vain.
For this particular story of mine, you are in luck. I actually wrote an outline of Permafrost Diplomacy before I started writing it. Here it is for all of you. The Gelid Vortex references an idea that belongs to Viper of Grand, an excellent author and a friend, though I haven't talked to him in quite awhile. I hope you enjoyed the first part of Permafrost Diplomacy, and I hope this outline answers what questions you may have been left with.

Outline
Well, it's still in its infancy, but here's what I have so far.
Part One: The Duchess
Chapter 1: Decorum
Chapter 2: Poise
Chapter 3: Sangfroid
Chapter 4: Petition

Chapter 7: Tact
Part One will be Karma at the League and Ionia, dealing with her self-destructive urges to help her country. First 5 or so chapters at the League, last 6 or so in Ionia. Irelia needs her help with talking down Varus. Mostly this part is about her finding herself after the war, because almost her entire life she has been fighting it. There's a little Lee Sin romantic tension. Maybe some with Varus too. I have this idea that Karma's intense loneliness and isolation keep her from fully utilizing all her chakras. I do kind of want to do a romantic part but I'm hesitant because I feel like people wouldn't like it.
Part Two: The Diplomat

Part Two is Karma traveling to Freljord, meeting with Ashe, Sejuani, and Trundle, and spending some time with the various leaders, trying to find out what Syndra is up to. There's lots of stories about a malevolent woman in a black metal headdress (who is Lissandra) in the extreme North that has been extending her power through Freljord. The stories start about when Syndra left Ionia, as Lissandra is supposed to be a new champion and thus new in the timeline. Karma travels waaaay up north with Lee Sin, or perhaps Varus, but also with Frostblade Irelia. However, because of Lissandra's power, the North is far too cold for the Ionians to survive. The Ursine are barely hanging on. Karma continues to think this is some doing of Syndra. They go around trying to find out a way to survive it and Karma decides that if her will is strong enough she can protect them all. There's some sort of shamanistic ritual stone either deep in a cave or on top of a mountain or in the middle of the forest (here's the part where you come in). She goes there by herself to meditate and try and resolve all her doubts and fears so she can go after Syndra. I have this idea of her fighting manifestations of her fear and her loneliness, maybe. But at the end of her meditation, Gelid Wolfrik appears to guide her to the truth and defeat the manifestation of his daughter's power. He won't tell her who is causing the cold but he helps her find inner peace and comes with her to guide the party up north. This is where this chapter ends. The shamanic ritual stone part might be in the start of Part 3 if it takes too long.
Part Three: The Enlightened One
Chapter 1: Discipline
This is the part where they go up north and find Syndra's fortress crashed on the side of a city carved into a mountain, covered in black ice. They go inside the fortress and the city and find Lissandra using Syndra's incredible magic potential to spread her ice over the world. Syndra is barely alive, impaled on icicles. There is a huge Lissandra fight with her enthralled minions and creatures. I imagine her calling on Trundle only for him to reject her with a witty one liner. Then Lissandra stops spreading cold over the world and focuses it all within the chamber. Karma uses her will to shield all of them from the cold, which I imagine is about as close to absolute zero as science can get today as Gelid slowly moves through it and towards Lissandra. Lissandra releases Syndra to focus on holding him back and Syndra stuns her with a nicely descriptive version of Force of Will. Then Gelid jumps through and I would like to say kills her, although it might be critically wounded.
If critically wounded I would have her be forced to help Freljord for a hundred years by serving their cause in the League of Legends, or something like that.
I don't have what happens to the good guys at the end totally planned out but I'm thinking happy return to League/Ionia and hugs all round, and Karma is much more relaxed and happy, having learned how to "chill out" as it were. Maybe strikes up a relationship. And that relationship is probably with Varus, because I am a sucker for Varus.
