- Chapter Four - Let's Get Things Straight -

-Normal P.O.V-

"What Shaman Fight?" The three teens looked at Hao as if he was some sort of a dunce. Such a question from him of all people was absolutely ridiculous.

"What do you mean 'what Shaman Fight', THE Shaman Fight!" Manta exclaimed.

"Ugh, Shaman Fight, Shaman Fight, I keep hearing about this Shaman Fight, but no one has actually told me what it is, or was!"Hao groaned, rubbing his temples out of frustration.

The three other teens traded glances. Just as Yoh was about to speak he was soon silenced by a small voice in the distance;

"HAO-SAMA!" Looking out the window, Hao saw a little African girl waving at him, through the masses of teenagers.

He opened the window before yelling back at the girl "Opacho? What are you doing here? How did you get here? Nevermind, just wait there, I'm just taking care of something!" The little girl nodded her head before looking over to see the people the long-haired teen was with. Her eyes narrowed in anger as she saw the people responsible for his memory loss. Growling Opacho ran into the building to prevent them jogging Hao's memory. Meanwhile Hao diverted his attention back to Yoh and the others.

"We're going to have to wrap this up, I promised Opacho that we'd go get ice-cream." He spoke in an irritated voice. "Well?" He prompted.

The three shared stares, amongst themselves. "Would you wait just one moment please?" Yoh requested making the other Asakura sigh. The three huddled together and began to whisper amongst themselves.

"What is he playing at?" uttered Manta.

"He's not kidding, I just read his mind and not only did he not stop me like he usually would, there is absolutely no recollection of the Shaman fight, his mind's filled with weird, scattered memories...It's hard to put into words. It's like a bunch of different jigsaw puzzles mixed together and yet pieces are still missing." Explained Anna, "Either he has hidden his memories from me, or he really doesn't remember anything." She continued.

Yoh split off from the huddle and looked over to Hao. Just as he was going to speak he saw a little girl running towards them.

"Hao-sama!" She giggled. Turning around Hao scooped the running girl into his arms and hugged her tightly.

"Opacho, I told you silly child you. I was supposed to pick you up, not the other way around! You could have gotten hurt all on you own like that, that very naughty of you." He spoke whilst nuzzling the copper skinned girl making her laugh hysterically.

Yoh smiled at this cute display of affection and thought. 'Hao defiantly is different'.

"Opacho;s sorry, but she didn't wanna wait anymore! Opacho wants ice-cream!" Whined Opacho as she fidgeted in his arms. Gently the long-haired teen lowered the little girl who was dressed in dark blue jeans, a white top with an orange pink and yellow floral pattern and small orange slipper like shoes complete with her trade mark head-band.

Hao looked at the other teens behind him before saying "Maybe we could finish this off some other time. Unless you wanna come with us to Taste Of Heaven Ice-cream Parlour? I mean, that is if Blondie over ther is done with the interrogation bit" He offered.

Smiling Yoh agreed and they all went of to the store much to Opacho's distaste, and Anna's for that matter.

When there, the five sat at a booth and the waiter took their orders, after about 5 minutes Hao had to go to the bathroom, which meant that he had left Opacho on her own with Anna, Manta and Yoh, which she didn't like one bit. As they sat in silence the copper skinned child glared at them, =her eyes like darts.

"You have a problem?" Grunted Anna, the little girl sneered at her in response.

"Look girly, Opacho doesn't like being here with you people, and all she asks is that you don't remind Hao-sama of the Shaman Fight." She spoke before folding little her arms.

"Why don't you want us to tell him, and what did you mean by remind?" Yoh Questioned the small child.

"Well after you defeated him instead of killing Hao-sama you caused caused Ha-sama to lose his memory. Opacho's afraid that the tiniest thing could make him remember and attack Yoh-baka and his stupid friends and... He'll yell at Opacho again like he before." The little girls face saddened at the thought of her beloved master yelling at her the way he did before. That wouldn't happen if she had anything to say about it.

Seeing this, Yoh began to ruffle her bushy hair making her to look up. "We won't say a thing, I promise." He smiled lazily, the little girl laughed.

"What's so funny." A voice said, the four looked up to see Hao sitting back in his seat. Opacho stopped giggling and pointed at Yoh.

"Here are your orders." A young waitress said with a smile, everyone began to tuck in. Opacho had a Chocolate sundae, which was larger than she was. Yoh had a Caramel Snicker doodle Ice Cream, Hao had a Raspberry Sorbet, Manta a baked snowball drizzled in chocolate sauce, and Anna had a Chocolate Ice-Cream Pie. As the five tucked into their desserts they couldn't deny that they were sent into a heavenly bliss. Each of them could taste the calories and they all loved it. Even Anna couldn't care less about how unhealthy those treats were.

"So you guys, what were you saying about a Shaman Fight?" Questioned Hao.

Opacho almost choked on chocolate brownie before giving the other teens an annoyed look her little copper face. 'HOW DARE YOU!' She mentally screamed.

Seeing the look on the little girls face Yoh knew he had to make something up and quick. "Oh... Uh well that sorry about that. I... We thought that you were someone else! It was all just a misunderstanding, sorry about all the trouble, Hao." He explained lamely.

"Oh?" Hao scoffed. "Well I suppose that that's understandable." The others fell silent, all thinking 'I can't believe he bought it!'

They sat mostly in silence after that, except the exchange of trivial information like age, what they want to be it the future, and so on and so forth. The five left the ice-cream parlour, after they finished eating of course. Manta complained about having a stomach ache after all of the ice-cream, to which Anna responded by telling him to "suck it up". Hao, Yoh and Opacho all laughed at Manta's sweet, sour expression.

"Hao-sama can we go to the park and play." Opacho asked as she held the elders hand.

"Of course we can, Opacho." The little girl giggles wildly but the giggle ceased as Hao asked Yoh if he, Anna and Manta wanted to join them, but they declined making the little girl happy again.

"Well, I'll see you guys at school tomorrow." Hao waved.

"Bye-bye Yoh-baka, bye-bye Manta-baka, bye-bye Anna-baka!" The little African girl laughed before Hao apologized on her behalf. Yoh and Manta however tried to drag away a very pissed looking Anna, no one dare add a suffix to her name unless it was either sama or dono. The three teens walked back to the Onsen discussing what they should do about Hao.

"How can we not tell anyone about this." Said a frustrated Manta as he held his still aching stomach.

"We promised Opacho that we wouldn't, and I never break a promise. It's against my moral code." Yoh stated, "Plus he doesn't have his memory anymore so he isn't a real threat to anyone."

"Okay, what if for some reason Hao does get his memory back. Then what?" The blonde asked.

"If he does then... We'll reason with him." Yoh flashed Manta his trademark smile making the shorter one sigh and hang his head in defeat.

"Yoh-dono, I still think that we have to keep our guard up though." Said Amidamaru as he appeared out of thin air.

"Agreed. One thing Hao wasn't afraid of showing was his lack of self control when it comes to piling bodies." Anna said a-matter-of-factually.

They all nodded and walked until they had to part ways with Manta. As soon as she got in Anna ordered Ryu to start making food, and the younger Asakura twin crept up to his room. The brunette flopped lazily onto his futon and let out a sigh.

"Yoh-dono, I understand that you don't wish to harm Hao, but you just might have to..." Said Amidamaru, but was interrupted by Yoh himself.

"NO!" The teen barked, the dead samurai was shocked at his harsh tone. "I'm sorry Amidamaru, it's just that... I already lost him once and I don't wanna lose him again." Yoh whispered clutching onto his bed sheets.

'Never again. I never wan to kill another person agian! This is my chance to make things right with my brother.'
