Here I come with another chapter translated. This is a retelling of a story from the available anime scenes so don't worry about imagining the scenes in your head even if I can't describe very well. It's currently in Tenroujima arc if you want to rewatch the anime.

In the midst of my story telling, the plot will be really different. My intention is to cover the unexpected past of the various characters in this story which linked to Hades' scheme for his attempt to obtain the Magic of Zeref. I had foreshadowed and made Hades mistaken about something.

Chapter 10: The Nine Years Scheme

Lucy, Cana, Gray and Leo were on the run heading back to the camp.

"Didn't you know where are we going to meet up?" Gray could not believe Lucy and Cana. They were lucky that he and Leo were stalking them.

"It's faster in this direction." Leo said taking the lead.

"Why is this happening? Lucy wondered. She was really worried about Natsu. Just where was he?

"Wendy, get a hold of yourself! Wendy! Just what happened?" Even though Tsuna disliked Wendy, as sky sorceress for not being able to heal his brother, she was still his comrades and naturally he could not help but worried about her.

"Charles and Lily had came as well." Happy said worriedly.

"Just what the hell happened? Mest, get the hell up. I remember you as one of them from the Magic Council, wake the hell up!" Tsuna shook his unconscous body vigorously hoping for an answer.

The airship of Grimoire Hearts was approaching Tenroujima, what was blocking their way was the third Master of Fairy Tail, Makarov.

"I'll not let you advance any further!" Makarov declared.

"Let's see how you can stop us." Hades was getting ready to take him on.

Makarov started launching his attack. It did not take long for him to damage the ship to only have Ultear to fix it with her magic by Hades' order.

"Yes, Master. Arc of Time, restore!"

"All of you shall head to the island right away. I have personal score to settle with Makarov." Hades gave his order.

"There's nowhere for you to run." Makarov focus his gaze on the ship and prepared to use one of the three legendary Fairy magic, Fairy Law. It was a magic inflicts heavy damage on whoever the Caster perceives from their heart as an enemy.

Hades smirked. This was not a magic which should be used whenever the caster felt like it. He casted a magic to cancel it off.

"The consequences will be undesirable, kid." He had activated the same magic as Makarov but it was unlike Makarov's magic of light, his was magic of darkness.

Makarov was stunned by the way his name was called. There was only one person who could have address him that way.

"Was that you, the Second Master of Fairy Tail? Were you behind all these?" Makarov muttered in disbelief.

With that, the goat-like Caprico took off to the island in a jet-pack and he brought along bubbles containing members of Grimoire Hearts. He scattered them around the island where the members landed ready to take care of members of Fairy Tail.

"Lucy, watch out!" Leo shoved Lucy away from an attacking mage in the nick of time. Lucy was caught by surprise.

Meanwhile, the members of Fairy Tail found themselves surrounded by the enemies.

"If you are a man, you should be challenging me one-on-one!" Elfman was heard shouting. Evergreen shrugged in response. Here he goes again.

"Erza-san." Juvia had her back.

"I know."Erza had raised her sword and prepared to engage.

"Lisanna, be careful." Mirajane advised.

"Got it, Mira-nee." The sisters were scanning their enemies.

So were Tsuna and the rest. Tsuna was fuming in anger. He had no time for them.

"You're the Second Master, Purehito!" Makarov stared at the figure on the airship in horror. The Master who had passed down the torch to him was the Master of Grimoire Hearts.

"Long time no see, Kid!" Hades released a chain around Makarov toppling him causing him to land on the ground with a crash. Makarov reacted and landed on the ground. His robe appeared over his body as he was forced to revert back to his original size.

He just could not believe it.

"I didn't expect you've been this obsessed with the magic of Zeref to the extent of sacrificing Elie, Sieg and Ul. Not only that, you are also going after their descendents. Why? What caused you to join a Dark Guild?" Makarov demanded. His mind were filled with memories of Ul's sacrifice and the loss of the innocent smile of Natsu, Tsuna and a young boy with bandaged head with a weird tattoo over his right eye.

Makarov started attacking in fury. No matter what he had to stop him.

"Stop calling me Kid! I don't wish to fight you. Will you leave the island or not?" He demanded.

"Does it matter whether it's light or darkness? This is something which can't be differentiated by the good and the evil. Elie just didn't understand. It's a waste to guard this precious magic which could well be used for ruling the world. This was something I had realized from my long journey. She might as well hand the power to me and I will put it into good use." Hades was not weak. He was a mage far more superior than Makarov could be.

"I admit. It hurt me for having to destroy Fairy Tail." Hades casted the 100th Amaterasu Formula on Makarov. The magic sphere exploded around him.

"There is no way you can defeat me!"

The smoke cleared showing some damages dealt to the island. Makarov was not spared from the explosion.

"That's why you killed her and her children!" Makarov said. He staggered in pain as a result of his injury even though he had casted maximum defense seal.

"The twins were obviously my greatest threat. I could have spared one of them who possessed the magic if he obeyed me. The magic of Zeref had chosen him as a vessel but that stupid boy chose to commit suicide. How foolish, as expected from a brat. An eleven years old boy knows nothing. He did not know I can replicate the magic. In any case, I had exterminated the twins as well as those who were of threat to me. Now, no one can stop me!" Hades declared thinking back on how Natsu Dragneel, a boy at an age of 11 back then silted his throat intending to perish with the magic of Zeref along with him.

"You!" Makarov clutched his chest. He got too worked up. He found himself collapsed on the ground. His heart throbbed in pain.

"What happened? Are you sick? Time flies. Now, we were both old. In the past, magic was born from the darkness. It was feared and repressed but now magic is part of everyday life, it can also be considered as part of the human culture. During my journey, I found out of the root of magic. Let me show you , when I find that vessel and awaken him fully. I will show you the essence of magic once I manage to activate Zeref. But you probably won't live to see it. Good night. This will be the end of the history of Fairy Tail." Hades walked off as he finished. His eyes narrowed at Makarov's sudden assault as he saw him picking himself up.

"I'm not done yet!" Before Makarov could react, a beam was light was seen shot through his chest as Hades gave him a finishing blow. Makarov raised his hand as he fell on his back in despair.

"Can you hear me, my successor? Natsu, run!" That was the last words in his mind before darkness claimed him.

Somewhere in a distance away, Makarov's grandson, Laxus thought he heard his grandfather calling for him.

"What's going on?" Laxus who was in a robe was on a journey through a desert had a really bad feeling.

At the same time, Natsu in Zeref mode could sense Makarov's desperate cry.

"Grandfather!" He stopped in his stepped as his eyes widened in fear.
