All right, I'll come clean: I was on vacation for nearly a month in Newfoundland, and couldn't update. I have no regrets. Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THIS STORY!
Note: Disregarding Buu, Battle of Gods (Not the characters though), Revival of F, and DBS.

"-And even though I want grandchildren, you can't support kids!" Chi-Chi screeched, finally completing the longest ear-thrashing in recorded history.
Gohan, still unclogging his ears from the first half-hour, looked to his father for help. After Goku gave Gohan a sad smile, complete with a single, manly tear, the hybrid knew he was doomed to fight this battle alone. Turning to his oppressor, Gohan tried to explain his situation.
"Mom, you and dad had me when you were nineteen when you had me, and counting my year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, I'm your age," Gohan reasoned. Chi-Chi's face softened a bit, followed by a short laugh.
"When you put it like that... I guess you have a point." Chi-Chi said, violently changing moods. As quickly as her good mood appeared, however, Chi-Chi's mouth molded into a tight frown. "That still doesn't change the fact that Erasa and you can't support children. So I'm going to let you off the hook only this one time."

School returned after the weekend, letting Gohan finally converse with someone that wasn't related to him. Even the thought of a verbal battle with Videl put his mind at ease. But, as Gohan arrived to school, he realized he was about half-an-hour early. Groaning, he decided to walk around the building where he learned nothing.
After walking past the science and social sciences hallways, Gohan reached out his senses to see if anyone he knew had arrived yet. To his surprise, he sensed Videl's Ki, although it seemed off. After determining that Videl was in the field, Gohan decided to see if he could relieve some of his boredom by debating Hercule's true abilities with the crime fighter.
Walking out towards the field, Gohan saw Videl running around the track. Deciding to run with her and talk, Gohan took off like a bullet, and quickly caught up with Videl, who was visibly exerting herself.
"So Videl, how long have you been running?" Gohan asked from behind Videl, causing her to stumble, slow down, and eventually stop.
Videl glared at the pink haired Saiyan. "About an hour, but that's none of your business," she said, breathing somewhat heavily with her hands on her knees.
Gohan frowned. "Either that's a lie, or you've been pushing your limits too far recently. I can tell you aren't feeling up for anything that pushes your limits," Gohan said. He now knew what was wrong with Videl; all work no play. Textbook example of Vegeta Persona.
Videl's face twisted into a scornful look. "You don't have a right to talk about my limits," Videl seethed quite harshly. "I used to be the strongest besides my dad, but as soon as you showed up in October, Erasa has beaten me in a martial arts tournament, you, the nerd, beats me at sparring, Sharpner is stronger than me, and it's all because of you!"
Gohan tried to wait for Videl to calm down. After about a minute of angry crying, Gohan decided enough was enough. The same thoughts that used to plague his Super Saiyan 2 mind came to surface. "It's time for you to face reality Videl; there will always be people better than you in literally every way. Your closed-off mind to what you've seen me do- in front of your eyes, I might add- is what makes you incapable to move forwards in martial arts. Face it; you can never reach my level of skill or power. At best, you could hope to be as strong as I was when I was six," Gohan bellowed, permanently etching his words into the girl's mind.
When Videl spoke, it was all rage and no coherence that was spewed forth from her mouth. "A country nerd shouldn't be able to be able to do that, much less someone who's spent the last decade training- yes Gohan, decade! More than half of my life has been dedicated to martial arts! And then you, out of nowhere, show me up! More that half of my life just thrown to the wind! I-"
"I've spent fourteen years training in Demon-Style, Turtle-Style, and many more martial arts forms including Crane-style that your fraud of a father has erased from tournaments with his Satan-Style, which I have also mastered three years ago. Over the past seven years, I've rigorously studied the vastly different styles, such as Shaolin, T'ai chi, Hung Ga, and Baguazhang." Gohan paused, allowing Videl to absorb this information. After a moment, Gohan continued. "I've spent the last two years learning the Drunken-Fist technique under the legendary Turtle Hermit Roshi. Within the past year, I've crafted two vastly different martial arts techniques, likely capable of making our math teacher go head-to-head with trained police officers. Your self-righteous 'decade of training' is nothing close to what I and my trainers-no, what my friends have ever accomplished in a day."
Before Gohan started his ranting, Videl was extremely mad at the boy. Mid rant, Videl wanted to rip his stupid pink hair out of his head. Now that he was done, Videl was skeptical. Still angry, but curious. "I want to see if you're telling the truth or not. The WMAT is in two weeks, and I'll expect you there," Videl ordered. "If you do win using a style you made, I won't complain to you anymore."
Gohan, still in his aggressive state of mind, knew a challenge when he saw one, and replied with a simple answer. "No."
Clearly, Videl's words were not a challenge.
Gohan continued, "Your complaining doesn't bother me. If anything, it's one of the more entertaining things I experience here in Satan City, being beaten by Sharpner's dry wit, and all time I spend with Erasa. Face it; you have barely any influence on my life. Blackmail is impossible from you."
Videl was struck silent when Gohan finished his impromptu speech and... disappeared.

Gohan had just finished his dialogue with Videl before the surrounding area simply just changed. What was a cheaply cut school field and a grey overcast morning sky was replaced by an immensely gargantuan inner sphere covered in gray stone tiles illuminated by a large red orb in the center. Wherever Gohan looked, all he could see was stone tile and nothing else.
But then a person popped up. A tall purple insect-looking person was about half a kilometer. Then a pink, bipedal furry alien showed up thirteen kilometers away. Then, every half-kilometer, people started appearing. Before Gohan could question anything, Whis' face appeared in Gohan's mind.
"Hello one and all to the Tourney Of Gods! This tourney takes the most powerful of each race, including hybrids as their own races, and pits them together to see who will take the position of a new God!" Whis telepathically said, likely to everyone in their native languages. "All participants have been given God-Ki, and while you are inside this arena, you all are as powerful as the deceased God of Law, whose position you will attempt to fill in this very tournament! Good luck participants, and may the best win!"
Gohan didn't know what to do besides fight. So when the sphere rang-out in a loud, resounding "Gong", he fought.

"Honey, I'm going out now-" Krillin attempted to say to his stoic wife, before he vanished from 18's sensors.
"Krillin...?" 18 asked where Krillin disappeared from. Instead of seeing her loving husband outside of the Kame House door, there was only sand. 18 could only stare at the empty space.

Chi-Chi was laying on her bed, waiting for her husband to do his... stuff. After waiting for ten minutes, Chi-Chi got curious as to where Goku was, and started looking for him.
"GOKU YOU STUPID MAN, WHERE ARE YOU!?" Chi-Chi yelled through her home once she placed more decent clothing on. Frustrated, she went to the kitchen, expecting Goku to be feasting. Instead, she found Goten Curled up in a ball. "Goten, what's wrong?"
Daddy... daddy's gone..." Goten cried, unable to sense his father on earth.

Piccolo was meditating near where Dende was helping Mr. Popo. Then Piccolo disappeared. Dende thought nothing of it.
