A/N I love you readers. I really do. I love that you want him to be in more trouble, because let's be real. That's why I read fan fiction. I am trying my, hand here at just kind of a fluffy chapter but obviously Tim is an over excited 13 year old boy…
^^^^^^^Tiny Tim^^^^^^^^
Gibbs woke up the next morning at 6 and headed down stairs to make some coffee, only to find Tim sitting at the island in the kitchen.
"You're up early" Gibbs said as he prepared the coffee maker. A brief moment of shock that his father was there and a grunt were the only responses he got.
"What time d'ya get up?" The father inquired.
"Dunno. Twenty minutes ago?" Tim said noncommittally. "I got up to go to the bathroom and couldn't fall back asleep." He explained further.
"What have you been doing this whole time?" Gibbs asked as he reached for a mug from the cupboard.
"Sitting here I guess."
"Why don't you go watch TV for a bit?" Gibbs told him. It would be a long day if Tim did not get any more sleep.
"I have to get ready though. We are leaving soon."
"Tim," Gibbs sighed "We aren't leaving for two and a half hours. Go watch some TV and after breakfast you can get ready."
"But-"
"Tim. Now." Was all he had to say to get Tim moving. Albeit very slowly and not very happily.
Since Gibbs did not have to start breakfast for at least an hour, once his coffee was done, he joined Tim in the living room. Tim was sprawled out on the couch and stared up at his dad with sleepy eyes.
"Is there room for your old man on that couch?" Gibbs asked with a grin and was rewarded with Tim scooting his body towards where his feet were. Once Gibbs was settled and had placed his coffee of the end table, he pulled Tim so his head was resting in his lap. He then placed and arm around his son's body and held him comfortably.
"What are we watching?" Gibbs asked.
"Hmm." Was the answer he earned. And a few minutes later Gibbs could hear the familiar even breathing of his youngest one sleeping. At this time of the day, he would normally be reading the newspaper, but as it was a Gibbs and Tim day, he elected to his sit on the couch with him. But when he heard that Tim was sleeping, he changed the channel to the news.
An hour later Gibbs stealthily maneuvered himself from underneath Tim and headed to go make breakfast. Once the bacon was cooking a half an hour later he hear Tim entering the kitchen.
"Whatcha making?" Tim asked, leaning against the island.
"Pancakes and bacon. Do you want blueberries in yours?" His dad asked.
"No thanks. I'm gunna go change though" He told his dad.
"Ok. It's going to be ready in five minutes though. While you're up there, wake up your brother!" He shouted from the kitchen as Tim ascended the stairs.
But when Tim got there, Tony was just walking out of the bathroom.
"You're just going to smell like fish when you come back, why did you shower now?" Tim asked his brother with confusion.
"Because I'm not a thirteen year old boy who needs reminding to shower."
"Neither do I!" Tim cried in embarrassment.
"Uh-huh, so Dad didn't have to remind you three times the other day?" Tony said with a raised eyebrow.
"Shut up" he mumbled and shoved his brother.
"Whatever." Tony said with a laugh before heading to his room. Tim was going to follow him but his dad called upstairs that food was ready so he went to his room to get dressed instead.
Tim always laid out his clothes for the next day and hung them over his desk chair, so when he went to get dressed he was surprised to find that his shirt was missing. Tim grabbed a different one from the closet before heading back downstairs.
"Thought I asked you to wake up your brother?" Gibbs said as he brought the plate of pancakes to the table.
"He was already up." Tim answered. He grabbed some glasses and the orange juice and brought them to the table. "Did you take my shirt?" He asked his dad.
"Your shirt?"
"Yeah. The one I got last year from the science museum. The one with the periodic table on it." Tim described.
"Haven't seen it Tim" Gibbs said
"You were the only one besides me in that room. And I didn't move it." Tim argued.
"Tim, there is no reason to get angry. I told you I haven't seen it, because I haven't. I wouldn't lie to you about it."
"Well it didn't get up and walk away, did it?" Tim muttered.
"Timothy. Enough. I didn't take it."
Tim huffed but did not say anything else. Five minutes later Tony came downstairs wearing the shirt Tim was talking about. Tim, who was absorbed in eating breakfast, did not even notice. Gibbs raised an eyebrow but did not make any comments.
When Tim heard his brother move his seat, he looked up from his plate and it took him a moment to notice Tony was wearing the shirt he had been looking for.
"That's my shirt!" Tim yelled and immediately shot up from his seat.
"Are you sure?" Tony asked cockily. "I mean, this color really goes with my complexion, don't you think?"
By this time Tim had walked quickly around the table and was trying to pull the shirt off the older teen.
"Take it off!" Tim yelled.
"Tim. Sit down."
"Make him give it back!" Tim shouted as Tony continued to block his attempts at getting to the shirt.
"Timothy. Sit. Down." Their dad ordered.
"He had to go into my room for that!" Tim cried.
Apparently Gibbs hadn't thought of that. He gave his oldest son a glare. For his part, Tony managed to look a little contrite.
"You don't go into your brother's room without his permission for any reason. Ever." Gibbs lectured.
"Yes sir." Tony mumbled. "I'm sorry."
"It's not me you need to apologize to Anthony." Gibbs scolded.
Tony looked up at his father with a look of dismay. A glare from his father however had him doling out a muttered apology.
"Give me my shirt back" Was the only acceptance Tim gave him. Tony went to pull it off but his dad cut him off.
"Not here." Gibbs ordered. When Tony made to stand up his father again stopped him. "After breakfast. I just want to have a nice Saturday breakfast." Gibbs practically begged.
And the rest of breakfast went pretty well until Tony dropped pancake dripping with syrup down the front of the shirt. Tony let out a barely audible "oops", but it was loud enough for Tim to hear. When Tim looked up, he quickly became livid.
"You ASSHOLE!" Tim screamed and ran around the table towards Tony. Tony saw what was happening and quickly stood up and backed away from the table, but not before Tim punched him in the arm. Hard.
Gibbs had also seen what was about to happen and also shot out of his seat and stood between his two son's before either of them would retaliate.
"Go put that shirt in the wash, Tony." Gibbs ordered without removing eye contact with his youngest.
"No way!" Tony said angrily. "That hurt!" He shouted and continued to rub away the sting from the punch.
"Do it now, Anthony. I will not repeat myself." Gibbs said with forced calm. It was not Tony he was upset with after all.
Tony did was he was ordered and headed for the basement. Gibbs finally addressed Tim who had been standing there huffing the entire time.
"You need to go to your room." Gibbs demanded quietly.
"He got syrup on my shirt! There isn't time to wash it!" Tim stated, trying to get his father to understand.
"I said you need to go to your room, Timothy." His father gritted between clenched teeth.
"Why?" Tim asked somewhat cautiously.
"Because that is where you will be spending the rest of the weekend." Gibbs said with a sigh. He had tried to say this after he had gotten Tim into his bedroom. The storm that followed was not unexpected.
"WHAT!" Tim yelled. "You can't do that!" he shouted.
"Tim, you need to calm down and go to your room"
"No!" Tim yelled. "You promised we would go to the museum! You can't take that away!" Tim declared loudly.
Gibbs reached over and gripped Tim's chin firmly yet gently.
"I will give you three seconds to go up to your room, before I bring you up there myself." His dad said while looking Tim square in the eyes. "I know you are angry that we aren't going, but this is strictly a result of your actions and your actions alone. " Gibbs lectured. Tim tried futilely to wretch his chin from his dad's tight grip. Left with no other option, Tim agreed before stamping up the stairs and slamming his bedroom door.
"Dad?" Tony asked hesitantly from the basement door, where he stood without a shirt.
"Yeah Tony?" Gibbs replied with sigh.
"I….I get to go with Stan today, right?" Tony asked hopefully.
Gibbs took a minute to answer. While Tony had been the instigator of all this trouble, he really had not done anything punishable worthy. And he knew today would be rough enough without Tony being angry with him too.
