This was such a long chapter to write lol. Okay now before I get, "you were supposed to upload this last weekend!" Here's the deal. When trying to upload this, it wouldn't upload correctly for who in the world knows why. Second. My internet for my new laptop kept dropping and it was hard to get it to work with me. So yeah. Because of that, I decided to make this chapter twice as long as what it was supposed to actually be, This was supposed to be broken up into two parts, but since the first part didn't upload, I continued it. I hope you enjoy it. I actually for some reason really like this chapter, idk why though. Anyways here is Chapter 4
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
PS: Alos thank you for the favorites/follows and reviews much appreciated! Keep doing all three, they make me really happy lol.
PSS: Usually this story has multiple sections within it that all tie together, however this one is different. It only has two sections, you'll understand why once you read it.
They all gather to one house. Problems all set aside- sort of. They live for this one moment- for the most part. All Sakura Uchiha could say was IT'S PARTY TIME!... So yes… the party indeed has started. But will it end peacefully?
Sakura finished preparing the dish and looked at her daughter.
"How does this look Sarada?"
The girl pushed up her glasses and stared at her mother. She looked bored.
"Good."
Sakura stared at her child with an irritated expression. She knew her child couldn't care less that the carrots she prepared looked like tiny roses. The same thing had happened between Sasuke and her before she was born. She asked how the food looked his answer: "Hn."
How can mama's baby be so much like me yet exactly like her father? Sasuke-kun this is all your, fault you did this to me. With your indifferent personality and such….
She sighed.
"I swear Sarada. Hey, did you happen to pass your father on the way back here?"
The said child was writing something, and had completely stopped listening to her mother. Sakura was more irritated than before, but she was also sort of curious as to what the twelve year old was writing. But from knowing her little girl, Sakura knew she would never ask her and get her to tell her secrets flat out. Again, a trait she got from none other than Sasuke himself.
"Hey. Sara?"
The raven haired child tuned back in.
"Hm?"
Sakura picked up a dirty dish to watch and turned to the twelve year old.
"I asked you a question sweetie."
"Oh…. No."
Sakura nodded.
"You sure are concentrating on that really hard."
Sarada's head snapped up and glared at her mother.
"What are you hinting at Mama?"
Sakura glared back teasing.
"Nothing… you just seem a little out of it."
She's blushing slightly.
Being the nosy mother Sakura was, she began to pester her daughter.
"So what's up?"
Sarada looked down.
"Nothing. Do you need me to help out with decorations? Tekken-kun said him and Lee-san will try to be here first. He said something about living up to their youth and… yeah."
The child's eye twitched as did Sakura's. Sakura sighed.
"Trust me they won't be first. But I swear, Lee-kun has taken Guy-sensei's teachings way too seriously over the years…"
Sarada grunted.
"Then he duplicated himself to that moron."
Sakura tapped Sarada at the top of her head.
"No calling people morons Sara…. Even if they are one."
Sarada giggled as she knew her mother always called a certain male in the village an idiot, moron, and anything else she could come up with. Sakura tried to get a look at the piece of paper, however Sarada caught it and lifted the paper up to hide it from her.
"Hey! No laughing at me little girl."
"Yeah. Okay Mama."
Just then Sasuke walked in with the blonde ninja's lovely wife and child.
"You two talking about Dobe?"
Hinata giggled.
"Uncle Sasuke, don't call Papa that mean word!"
Sasuke smirked. Sakura laughed. She walked over to the indigo haired child.
"That is so true Hima."
Hima smiled her cute smile.
"Hi Sarada-neesan."
Sarada walked over and pinched Himawari's cheek smiling.
"Hey Hima!"
"Hinata-chan where is Naruto-kun and Boruto?"
Before Hinata could answer Sasuke cut in.
"Dobe's at work still and Boruto is with him."
Sakura stared at her husband confused. She looked at the clock.
"Why is he still at work? This is the time he usually gets off. Hinata-chan how can you put up with this?"
Hinata smiled sweetly.
"That's easy Sakura-chan, Being Hokage was always Naruto-kun's dream. So because of that, I will always stand by him and help him complete his life goal."
Sakura smiled as she watched Sarada pick up whatever she was writing and lead Hima to her room.
"Hinata-chan… I'm glad you will always be with our ditzy orange ninja. But enough of that, wanna help me with decorations? My child was going to, but you know… she's spending time with Hima now."
Hinata clapped her hands together.
"Why of course."
Sasuke was looking out the window. Hinata, before walking with Sakura, also looked out the window, and both Sasuke's and Hinata's faces turned hard. Sakura noticed it, but stayed quiet. Something was off between the two.
What's going on?
Two hours had flown by and Hinata's blonde boys were now in the Uchiha's house as well as Shikamaru and his family, Choji and his family, Ino, Sai, and Inojin, Shino, Kiba and Tamaki, Tenten, and Lee and his son.
"Hey Temari!" Sakura said as she walked over to the woman who had a look of disapproval on her face directed at Shikamaru. Sakura laughed. As soon as she appeared, Shikamaru had run off. Shikadai was already hanging with Boruto, Tekken, and Inojin outside doing who knows what. So he was nowhere in sight. Temari growled.
"Hey Sakura. Sorry, I'm being grumpy. Your house is really beautiful."
The woman forced a smile.
"I don't know. I feel like Sasuke-kun should have more of say in the furniture in his house Forehead."
Sakura glared at her best friend Ino.
"Ino-pig…"
"What did you say?"
"Oh Sakura-chan and Ino-chan…"
Hinata was giggling again as her, Karui, Tamaki and Tenten all walked over to the group that was clear was now the women's group. The women all laughed at Sakura and Ino's bickering.
"I see somethings never change!" Tenten laughed. Ino smiled and directed her attention to Hinata.
"Tenten-chan I see you have jokes. Hinata-chan! Looking pretty as always."
"Hinata blushed.
"Thank you Ino-chan."
"Wow, I love what you and Hinata-san did with your house just for this party."
Tamaki looked at the hostess and said woman and smiled.
Sakura smiled at the woman.
"Aww thank you Tamaki-chan."
Tamaki nodded.
"How are you and Kuiba-kun."
Tamaki rolled her eyes but smiled slightly.
"Still intact with his inner puppy."
All the women giggled.
"He won your heart again I see."
Karui said amusedly.
"Yeah, but he better pop the question already…"
"Aww, don't worry, I'm sure he'll come around."
Temari pipped up still obviously irritated from her hubby. Tenten looked at Temari seeing the anger in her eyes. Tamaki shrugged.
"Hopefully."
"Temari-chan… what's wrong?"
Temari stared at Tenten blankly for a minute before sitting down the drink she had in her hand.
"My husband."
All the women looked at her curiously.
"What happened?"
"Well, How can I put this… he's apparently still working right now."
Sakura looked at the woman confused.
"What do you mean by he's still working, he's over there with the guys."
Hinata looked outside searching for her friends, and her sons. She quickly found them. Boruto was sitting on a log that was by a small pond Sasuke and Sakura decided to have in their backyard. Shikadai looked as though he was scolding him- something he always did. Inojin seemed to be jittery, constantly looking back at the house not realizing they were being watched, and Tekken seemed to be very into what her son was saying.
What are they up to?
"That's the problem. He won't tell me how he's still working."
Sakura and Ino looked at each other in bewilderment as did Tamaki and Tenten. Karui folded her arms.
"I don't know, I wouldn't spend too much time on that Temari-san."
Temari glared at the woman.
"Of course you'd say that. Choji-kun is your husband and does everything you say. For me, Shikamaru-kun clashes with me sometimes, though I love my Shika, he's sneaky. He got off work early tonight thanks to the Hokage, yet he's supposedly still working at this moment? Like what?"
Karui scoffed.
"What the hell was that supposed to mean? Choji doesn't agree with everything I say. I tell him not to have Chocho or himself eat anything before dinner time only to find them sneaking Korean bbq into their bellies."
The women all shook their heads.
"That's our Choji-kun."
Ino chuckled. Karui nodded.
But Temai-san, I'm just saying there's no need to get so angry at him. I've known him long enough to know there is always a reason to his sneakiness. Besides, he is here with you and your son, so stop giving yourself a headache."
Ino folded her arms.
"You're supposed to be on our page Karui-san. Shikamaru should not be working still if the Seventh Hokage let him off early, sneaky or not! Not only that but in this peaceful time you think it's not important to teach our kids the Ino-Shika-Cho combo!"
Karui shrugged.
"You're still on that Ino-san? There is no reason to push them too hard. I bet I'm not the only one that feels this way."
The woman looked at the others. Sakura nodded slightly.
"I mean I guess. But it will benefit them if they do learn it. Just in case y'know."
Tenten nodded.
"Yeah, I agree with Sakura-chan. You guys maybe don't have to push them as hard as we were all pushed, but if something were to occur we should be relieved to know they can hold their own at least a little."
Karui grunted.
"I guess, but I still think they don't need to practice it every damn do you think Hinata-sama?"
Hinata was still watching the boys outside tuning out the women talking.
"Hinata-chan?" Sakura placed her hand on the violet eyed princess. She jumped slightly.
"Oh. Uh. I'm sorry guys."
Temari looked at the boys. Nothing seemed amiss.
"You okay Hinata-chan?"
Hinata nodded.
"Um yes. What were we talking about?"
Sakura looked outside too.
She's been looking out there ever since Boruto walked out there. Ever since everyone got here and the boys went out there with him.
She looked over to the males who were all laughing at something Naruto was saying- well almost everyone, Sasuke just rolled his eyes.
I noticed Sasuke-kun,Naruto-kun and Sasuke-kun have also… Does this relate to Shikamaru-kun telling Temari-chan he's still working? What does this have to do with Boruto though?
"Well it doesn't matter anymore Hinata-chan. Let's talk about something else."
Temari smiled, this time not as forced. The rest of the ladies agreed. Hinata started off first trying to forget the earlier event with Sasuke in the cemetery.
"Sakura-chan how did you make these little carrot roses again?"
Chocho sat on Sarada's vanity chair eating some anko dumplings Sakura had made. She licked her fingers.
"Hey you got any more of that Princess?"
Sarada was putting hair clips in Himawari's hair. She had bought them just for the girl as they were sunflower hairclips. She looked up at Chocho.
"Chocho were you even listening to me?"
Chocho sighed.
"Listening to you tell me your heart's desire over Boruto. Yeah, but it was a lot better when I had food to tune it out."
Sarada nearly screamed. Himawari giggled.
"I-I-I am not. I don't. He's an IDIOT!"
Hima spoke up.
"Sarada-neechan Onii-san talks about you a lot though."
The younger girl frowned.
"Why?"
Sarada stared at the little girl.
"Well-"
Himawari was interrupted by a loud smack on the window. The three girls looked over at the window. Sarada walked to it and opened it.
"What do you want?"
Sarada looked at the Uzumaki boy who was smiling smugly at her.
"Come down and hang with us!"
Sarada was taken aback.
"What?"
Shikadai sighed obviously irritated.
"What part of come down and hang with us don't you understand Sarada-chan. Boruto-kun, can we go now?"
Hima popped up.
"Where are you going to go Onii-san?"
Boruto smiled at his little sister.
"Well, dinner won't be ready until another thirty minutes… or so I heard from Uncle Sasuke. So I was thinking we go to The Forest of Death dattebasa."
All three girls gasped.
"Why would you want to go there? Our parents told us not to." Sarada exclaimed. Chocho nodded.
"I ain't tryna get a lecture from my kaa-san boy." Chocho said.
"Papa and Mama said that place is dangerous Onii-san… What would we do there?"
Sarada gasped yet again. Himawari sounded a little too excited.
"Sarada you are not going with them. If you guys leave we are going to tell."
Inojin freaked out.
"Shikadai-kun, Boruto-kun, maybe we should listen to them, I don't want to get in trouble with kaa-san. She's scary."
Shikadai scoffed.
"Yeah whatever Mama's boy."
Inojin pouted at the Nara.
"I'm not a mama's boy."
Boruto who was pouting cutely at the girls stopped to snicker at Inojin's remark.
"Yes you are."
Inojin folded his arms.
"No I'm NOT!"
Tai laughed.
"You kind of are Inojin-kun. But hey that is okay. I am a father's boy."
Shikadai massaged his temples. Tai began practicing some taijustu moves getting ready for the trip Sarada guessed.
"We'll stop calling you that if you come WITHOUT making a comment about Auntie Ino. And Tai, that's not a thing. You're either a mama's boy of a daddy's girl. I hang out with a bunch of idiots."
Tai stopped moving and looked thoughtfully.
"Really? Hm. Well then."
Inojin looked at the two boys unsure and slightly annoyed over the mere sight of Shikadai. However he got a mischievous gleam in his eye.
"Deal."
Shikadai Nara was shocked but he smirked. Even though the kid was lazy, there was one thing that he did enjoy that came with being the friend of troublesome Uzumaki. And as strange as it seemed to everyone it was in fact the rush of being in a bad predicament. Shikadai figured it had something to do with his bloodline. The Nara's were known for their intellect and getting out of bad situations when fighting. And that's exactly what Shikamrau's son loved doing. And he had to do it every time he agreed to partake in Boruto's strange ideas- like now. The green eyed boy looked up at the girls.
"Fine. Don't come with us. But tell on us and I will be your worst nightmare."
Sarada glared at the boy.
"Yeah right."
Sarada put on a good façade but the reality was she had fought Shikadai before when they had to do their friendly battles. Let's just say, the kid was a lot craftier than what she thought he'd be. Not only that, but she possessed her sharingan at the time of their battle and still lost due to her 'you're beneath me attitude'. Apparently that was what ticked Shikadai off and that was when he beat her- pretty badly. Sasuke Uchiha was not happy with that outcome. She was forced to do some very strenuous training after that. She slightly shivered.
Shikadai scoffed.
"Yeah alright little miss thing. Just remember what I told you when I beat you."
Sarada bite her lip drawing blood.
Shikadai had stood over her and whispered in her ear that day.
"Wasn't much of a match Uchiha. Kinda boring. Maybe you should take lessons from you pops and stop under analyzing one's strenths due to how they look and act. I do have a few tricks up my sleeve you troublesome girl."
Sarada wondered just what Shikadai was talking about. What else could that kid do? She shook her head.
"Fine. We won't tell. But Hima isn't going with you guys. Boruto, why would you want her to?"
Boruto rolled his eyes.
"First of all Sarada-chan, Hima is a big strong girl now. Besides, there are four boys around that will protect her. So there is no way she'd be harmed with us around. If she wants to come she can. Second of all, she's my little sister not yours. And lastly, she's an Uzumaki, it's in our program to be strong. Hima do you want to come with your onii-san?"
Hima instantly smiled, but looked back at Sarada and Chocho who had a look of disapproval on their faces.
They don't know whenever Papa and Onii-san train together I watch and pick up on things, or that I practice myself with occasionally Onii-san coming to aid me. Mama has said I'm like Auntie Hanabi in that aspect. Watching a sibling and trying to be just like them. I can hold my own out there. But… maybe Sarada-chan and Chocho-chan are right.
The little girl frowned.
"Sorry-"
Boruto had a look of betrayal on his face. Something he knew his little sister couldn't take because she loved him too much. She would never betray her big brother. The younger Uzumaki was just too loyal to him.
"I-I'll be down in a sec Onii-san."
He smiled proud he had won this one. He could tell Sarada was furious. The little girl ran downstairs.
"You cheated. Why would you do that to her?"
He shrugged.
"Can't a guy like me hang out with my little sister?"
"You can but. There? That is dangerous for her. For you four. She's not like you Boruto. Not only that but we haven't even trained extensively as genin yet. We only know the basics." What if something bad happens when you guys enter in there? What will you do?"
Boruto looked down. It was true. Hima did do well with mimicking. She was strong, but like their mother she was very soft with it too. She was always hurt if she accidently made a crack in the backyard log trainging dummy. Not only that but they had just taken their tests today had no training as genin yet whatsoever. What if Sarada was right? What if they ran into an enemy in there? What would they do? Shikadai nudged him.
"Inojin-kun said if she decides not to go in or if we go in and there is something fishy, he'll take her out. And we know enough to at least get us away from an invisible enemy."
That made Boruto feel better. He was happy Shikadai always knew what was going on in his head.
"Alright."
Hima skipped to her brother and the other three boys. Tai looked at the girl.
"Are you ready Hima. This will help define your youth!"
Hima giggled at Lee's son. She nodded.
"Okay, you can't run as fast as us yet, so, piggyback ride?"
Hima's eyes lit up. She nodded excitedly. Boruto loved when she did that.
He picked her up and looked at his three friends.
"Let's go guys. We have to sneak around the back."
The boys nodded and then they disappeared in the darkness.
Sarada and Chocho watched.
"Girl. I got a bad feeling about this."
Sarada nodded.
"I think we should go to."
Chocho gasped.
"WHAT! Uh huh. Nope. You ain't taking me away from my food. I need to be the first downstairs when yo Mama call out 'Dinner is Ready.'"
Sarada rolled her eyes.
"Chocho."
"Ooooh I hate them boys right now."
"I know. We can get something once we're out in the village. Come on."
The two girls quietly made their way downstairs. Unfortunately the adults were too busy engrossed in their gossips and sake to realize the kids were slowly disappearing….
The five kids stared at the Do Not Enter sign on the gates of the ancient chunin exam fields.
"Whoa."
Inojin said looking at the messy fenced off area.
"Why is this even here still?"
Shikadai shrugged.
"Who knows."
Boruto sat Hima down.
"Hima. Do you still want to go in with us" You don't have to dattebasa."
Hima pouted.
"I want to. I feel safe around you guys."
All four boys smirked. Boruto nodded.
"Okay."
"Hey losers!"
"Ahhh!" Inojin jumped onto Shikadai who instantly dropped him.
"What are you doing!?"
Himawari looked at the boy. Shikadai looked disgusted.
"Inojinnii-san… are you okay?"
Inojin stood up blushing.
"I thought she was Mama."
Tai and Boruto were laughing hard. Shikadai grunted.
"Mama's boy."
Sarada walked up to the group and looked at the Forest of Death. She shook her head.
"There's a reason you wanted to go in here. Spill."
Shikadai and Boruto looked at one another.
Boruto scratched his cheek.
"Fine. Shikadai and I were here a few days ago and we thought we saw something in there. So we wanted to check it out dattebasa."
Sarada glared at the blonde headed boy.
"Really? That's it? If you saw something why do you want to go in there?"
Chocho chugged down what she was just eating.
"Yeah. I don't get your logic Uzumaki. I mean unless it was food or Princess somehow got stuck in there I wouldn't be trying to stick my head in crap where it doesn't belong."
Shikadai's eye twitched.
"I can't believe I'm going to have to team with you two!"
He looked up.
"Why does the world hate me?"
Chocho ignored Shikadai.
"Why does the world hate you! Um I'm sorry you didn't have to sit in front of whale over there every morning in the academy! Inojin shot at Shikadai.
Chocho grabbed the boy by his shirt.
"Ha. Ha. Ha. You're a freaking comedian Inojin-kun."
He sneered at the girl.
"Let go fat ass."
Chocho scoffed.
"Was that supposed to hurt my feelings Yamanaka? I know I'm fat… so? " With that she pushed the boy into the fence making the door openly up slightly, but enough to slip in.
The kids all held their breath. Himawari clung to her brother's arm. Shikadai eyed the door and anything that he could see surrounding it. Sarada and Chocho inched closer together. Inojin stood frozen by the gate. Tai stood in his place ready to strike waiting for something to happen, nothing did however. They all breathed out.
"C'mon." Boruto walked forward, Hima still clinging to him. He looked at her.
"Hima. Do you want to stay out here with Inojin?"
Hima shook her head but her eyes screamed she was scared. Shikadai placed his hand on her shoulder.
"How about this? Boruto, Tai and I will enter, just the three of us, and you wait out here with Inojin and the girls. We'll get you if nothing scary is inside okay."
Hima looked at Shikadai thanking him with her blue hues. She let go of Boruto.
The three boys made their way to the gate easily slipping through it.
"Onii-san! Be careful."
Boruto flashed his trademark grin.
"Don't worry I will dattebasa."
With that the boys disappeared into the darkness of the forty-fourth training grounds.
The males all sat around in Sasuke's living room reminiscing on their childhood and the stupid stuff they used to get into. The women were now in the kitchen helping get the food Sakura was preparing finished and began setting the table. Kiba took a swig from his drink.
"Man we were complete idiots back then huh."
Shikamaru scoffed.
"Well at least some of us were more than others."
Naruto looked at Shikamaru.
"Shikamaru-kun what is that supposed to mean!?"
"What do you think Dobe?"
"Hokage-sama, he is talking about you, it's because you're the biggest idiot of us all."
Shino pushed up his glasses. Naruto glared at him.
"I steal don't know if I like you or not Shino-kun."
"Oh that is so cold Naruto."
Shikamrau smacked Kiba.
"That's Hokage to you."
Naruto laughed. Sai smiled, however a frown soon replaced it.
"Is it weird to you guys that for the past fifteen minutes we have not heard our kids?"
Kiba shrugged.
"Why is that weird Sai-kun?"
Sasuke looked outside.
"Hn."
Shikamaru stood up.
"Actually that is. Boruto should have pranked someone by now."
"I don't know how I feel about my son being the target of all problems guys. He's not that bad."
Shino looked at the Seventh Hokage.
"You're kidding right, it's because he ALWAYS does something."
Naruto frowned and pouted.
"Well yeah but…"
Shikamaru walked out of the living room, opened the door and walked outside. There was no child in sight.
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"
He looked all around the house still not finding the boys.
"Shikadai? Boruto? Inojin? Tai? "
None of the boys answered. However, Shikamaru noticed that the gate to the Uchihas house was slightly opened indicating the kids had walked out.
"Damnit."
Shikamaru cursed.
Just then Naruto and the others walked outside.
"Shikamaru-kun? Where are they?"
Shikamaru pointed towards the gate.
"Damnit Boruto. Let me go into Sage mode to sense their chakra."
The men nodded. All thinking that the kids just went out to cause some chaos in the village. Naruto entered his sage mode and sensed all the chakra at once. His heart quickened however when he found his son's chakra inside the Forty-fourth training ground.
Sasuke watched his best friend and saw the slight fear cross his eyes.
"Naruto?"
Shikamaru looked at the hokage from hearing Sasuke call him by his name. Sasuke hardly ever calls him by his name unless it's serious.
"Where are they?"
"Guys, Dinner is ready."
Hinata walked outside to the men.
"Gather up the kids…. Naruto-kun?"
"They- But. Why?"
Shikamaru wasn't liking Naruto's tone. Neither was Sasuke or the rest of the gang. Choji and Sasuke walked back inside and called the girls down. No one appeared. Choji followed Sasuke to Sarada's room. Sasuke opened the door to find it empty.
"Shit."
"My precious Meatcakes is there with them too?"
Shikamaru snapped his fingers in front of Naruto.
"Shikamaru, Sasuke, Sai and Choji you're coming with me to the Forest of Death. Sasuke and Choji walked out as soon as Naruto said that."
Hinata was confused.
"Why would you guys go there. Naruto-kun what's going on."
The rest of the wives came outside. Temari stood next to her husband.
"You all realize dinner is ready right."
"Naruto-kun are my children at the Forest of Death."
Sakura and Ino's heads whipped towards Hinata and Naruto.
"Forest of Death?" They said in unison.
Karui looked at Choji.
"Why would they be there? Choji where is Chocho?"
"They're all at the Forest of Death."
"What!" All of the adults exclaimed.
"Oh my gosh." Tamaki covered her mouth.
Temari was about to run to go get her child but Shikamaru caught her.
"Oh no you don't you troublesome woman. You are not rushing inside of there. Hokage-sama, I'd also feel better if you stayed outside the gates too."
"What. But I can sense them. You need me."
Sasuke shook his head.
"Shikamrau's right. You're hokage now. Which means you can't just spring into action for trivial things like this anymore. Shikamaru, Sai, and I should be more than enough to get them."
Naruto spoke.
"Well not all of them are in there. It seems Bolt, Shikadai and Tai are the ones inside. Inojin, Chocho, Sarada and Hima are all outside the gates."
"Well what the hell are we waiting for!?" Let's go get them!"
Temari nearly screamed at the adults. They all scattered to the all too familiar yet sinister place.
Sarada was pacing back and forth.
"Okay it's been what like twenty minutes. What if something happened to them?"
Inojin stared at the girl.
"Maybe we should do something then?"
Chocho scoffed.
"Like what ghost freak?"
Inojin glared at the girl. He pointed at her.
"Like stop fighting with me fatso."
"Wow. You have no other names for me do you Flower lover."
"For the love of-"
"Inojin Yamanaka! What the hell do you think you're doing!?"
"Sarada Uchiha we have taught you better than this!"
"Chocho Akimichi, girl, have you lost your mind!?
"Himawari Uzumaki, sweetie are you okay."
The pre-teens all gasped and then envied Hima who was at the moment not getting scolded unlike them by her parents.
"Boruto put you up to this huh." Naruto had his daughter in a tight hold as she murmured her response."
Ino was yelling at Inojin.
"How can you be so inconsiderate of my feelings!? What if I had lost you huh!?"
"Sarada how did this happen?"
"There will be no junk food for you tomorrow girlie!"
"No Kaa-san, anything but my food!"
Karui growled at her child.
"Well I tried to talk them out of it, but then they still went, and I didn't want Hima to get hurt so I followed them to try and get them not to do it and and and. Mama, papa, I'm sorry I have failed you."
"Hn."
"Mama, I am considerate of your feeling. I love you this much… see? Please don't be upset with me. I didn't even go in. It was that stupid Boruto-kun and lazy Shikadai-kun's idea!"
"My son would never propose something like this you little brat."
"Temari-chan…."
"My baby boy is not a brat!"
"Ino-chan…"
Naruto and Hinata looked at each other.
"Naruto-kun, check on them."
"Already ahead of that."
"They are still in there; nothing else is around them though. They're safe for the time being."
Shino spoke up.
"What are we going to do Hokage sama, It's because someone needs to get them out."
Naruto looked down.
"Shikamaru-kun and Teme don't want me to go get them. So it'd be best to use a sensory type to find there coordinates along with my sage mode. Anyone else you want to take with you Shikamaru?"
Shikamaru thought about it.
You're right another sensory type along with your sensory could work, so Kiba-kun, but seeing Akumaru isn't here… Hinata-chan?
Hinata was about to step forward and tell Shikamaru she could do it. However Naruto kept her from doing so.
"If you have just my sensory, I think you guys should be okay, especially if Ino is here to relay to you where they are right."
Shikamaru smirked.
Still keeping Hinata from danger huh.
Hinata shook her head.
"Naruto-kun, I appreciate you wanting to keep me safe, but that is our son in there. Let me go inside and help while you stay outside and help."
Naruto stared at his wife and second born child.
"Fine. Take Hinata-chan."
Shikamaru smirked.
" Someone should also scope the area above head. Sai-kun, you think you can handle that? We should be able to get them out of there rather quickly. Ino-chan, like the Hokage already said, help him relay information to us if needed.
Ino nodded. Naruto sqeezed his fists together. Sasuke stepped foreward.
"To make Dobe feel better I'll go in there too."
Shikamaru nodded in understanding.
Naruto silently thanked his best friend.
"Well…Come on. Sai-kun go ahead and fly overhead, Hinata-chan, Sasuke-kun, follow me."
Lee stood in front of him before they left.
"Shikamaru-kun, I trust you will bring my son back to safety. I think you're plan will work perfectly. The people you are taking with are are exceptional. This is Shikamaru-kun we are talking about."
Shikamaru smirked.
The gang nodded in agreement. And the quad set off.
"Thanks Lee, We'll be right back. This shouldn't take too long."
Boruto walked ahead of his friends scanning the area. He didn't see anything strange but they still had to be careful. His parents told him many stories about this place, however he was determined to find that person him and Shikadai had ran into two days ago. He had to know why there was a stranger in his home land.
"Shikadai-kun, Tai-kun you see anything?"
Tai shook his head. Shikadai pouted.
"No."
Boruto stood up from the bushes the boys were hiding in. He sighed in distress.
"… Fine, We should go back then."
"Well… Hi there."
The boys wiped around to see a girl with black and white hair staring at them. She had big red eyes and a playful smile on her lips. SHe wore a black dress and no sandals were clad on her feet.
"Were ya looking for me?"
She pointed to herself childishly. Looking at her Boruto realized she had to be about Himawari's age. The girl Shikadai and he saw looked like she was the same age as his little sister. The blonde headed boy's heart raced.
It's her…
"Hey it's you!" Shikadai exclaimed.
Tai looked at his two friends. He had never seen the Nara get so excited over anything. Boruto, he had many times before, but Shikadai… this was not in his character. He tried to shrug it off, but Shikadai's excitement didn't seem happy, but rather skeptical of something. Tai looked at what his friends were seeing nothing. Something wasn't right.
Am I missing something?
"You two are funny."
The boys inched closer to her. Shikadai had brought the new kunai knife his father had given him for passing his test. He sneakily pulled it out without the girl noticing.
"We're funny huh…What's your name?" He asked cautiously.
"Why are you in here? It's dangerous here dattebasa."
Boruto stood on the other side of his friend. The little girl looked at both of them. Tai stood in the same spot trying to figure out who his friends were talking to.
"Um. Guys?"
"Kirai. I don't remember. Really? How so?"
The little girl answered the boys' questions.
Shikadai straightened up and wore his usual expression.
"You don't remember…"
Something was really up. Shikadai noticed the scar that ran under the child's eye.
What happened that she got that?
The strange child nodded.
"Yeah. I remember being with my grandpa and then I woke up here all alone and have been here ever since."
Kirai smiled happily.
"So, will you guys play with me!?"
Boruto looked at Shikadai. Shikadai gave a small nod. His gut was telling him this little girl wasn't what she seemed, but there was no way they could leave after being spotted by her and risk following them back to their other friends. There was no way out for the moment.
Boruto got the closest to the child.
"What would we play?"
Kirai smiled even bigger. She put her tiny finger on her cheek as if she was deep in thought.
"We can play hide and go seek."
Shikadai smirked.
Perfect.
"So we can hide and you find us?"
Boruto inquired.
The child stared at the boys. Something past through her eyes as she looked at them.
"Of course not silly. Boruto-kun and Shikadai-kun you're gonna come with me and Tai-kun is gonna find us. If you can…."
Both boys froze. They gulped.
"We never told you our names."
"Guys. Who are you talking to?"
The little girls face twisted into a malicious grin.
"You didn't have to."
Suddenly, what little light the sunset gave the boys had vanished and they were enveloped into a thick dark fog. The boys began to cough, quickly losing air. Tai who was walking behind the two boys felt himself get pushed back into a tree and pinned stayed there confused.
"Wh-what is this. Is this sme sick joke Shikadai-kun? Boruto-kun?"
"Now he's going to play by my rules and count to a hundred while we hide from him."
The little girl had the advantage. She could see in her fog. She yanked Boruto and Shikadai towards what the boys assumed was the north. After running for quite some time suddenly shikadai felt a harsh pain in his right arm, the arm the child wasn't holding. The hand that held the kunai.
"Ow. What the."
He looked at his arm in the darkness still coughing from the lack of air. He knew instantly it was blood. The girl then grabbed his shirt roughly.
"Shikadai-kun you bad boy. You weren't thinking about hurting me were you?"
Shikadai's eyes widened. This was bad. The Nara boy realized that the girl's voice was harsher now. She sounded older now. She kicked him in his gut. Stunned he fell to his knees.
"Sh-shika-shikadai!"
The girl turned towards Boruto and smacked him hard. Boruto staggered backard unable to see anything in front of him. Kirai was like a ghost.
"Shut up Uzumaki. I'm not supposed to kill you but he never said anything about hurting you badly before begining the ritual." Boruto felt frozen he couldn't move.
"H-He? What are you talking about?"
Kirai then cut the boys cheek before licking the blood that fell from it.
"Yummy, he was right. Naruto's son's blood does taste good."
"What?"
Shikadai stood up holding his stomach. He had to think fast.
What would Tou-san do? Think Shikadai. Think!
Shikadai reviewed what he knew about the girl.
She had obviously tricked us with a simplistic transformation justu. She turned herself into a little girl. She was about three feet away from us when the fog began. Had she weaved hand signs? No. I didn't see any. How'd she do it then? This fog seems to limit air and keep the victim from seeing anything. So smell and eyesight were out of the question. That leaves hearing and touching. It's hard to breathe, but we can manage at least for a little longer..
Shikadai opened his mouth about to call out to Boruto when he coughed and blood came out of his mouth. His eyes widened.
It's poison. Crap.
Shikadai concentrated on where Boruto was. A cracking sound came from behind him. Someone stepped on a leaf. Shikadai dodged Kirai sliding to the right bumping into a body.
Boruto.
Boruto was on his hands and knees coughing trying his best to catch his breathe. He began to try and stand back up.
"Oh no you don't you little brats! Shikadai that was lucky you dodged that one."
Kirai tripped Shikadai who had been trying to help his best friend up and spin kicked making an impact onto Boruto. Shikadai fell on his butt but recovered rolling backwards into a tree. Kirai jumped towards him beginning to punch him. The young boy made a cross with his hurt arm and other one to protect his face. Kirai ready to strike him again and break his shield was stopped by Boruto who had pinpointed where the two were at. He charged at her pinning her to the ground allowing Shikadai to recover. The boy searched with his hands for the kunai Kirai had taken from him. Boruto struggled to keep the woman under his grasp.
"SHIKADAI!"
Inhaling too much, Boruto lost all the air that he had for the moment and gasped. Kirai took this as a chance to turn the tables. She ripped her arms flipped them over. She weaved her hand signs and hitting the boy's stomach with a lot of force she projecting her chakra. Shikadai found the kunai knife and quickly grabbed it. He calculated where he had heard Boruto and Kirai hit the ground. Kirai hit his stomach again causing Boruto to squeal in pain.
Seven steps to the right from that tree I was against. The knife was ten steps forward from it. Seventeen steps. Hang on Boruto-kun.
Kirai smacked Boruto's stomach again forcing him to gasp. Shikadai brought his kunai knife into the girl's right shoulder but not before she hit the younger Uzumaki's stomach for the fourth and final time. She grunted and pain, but pushed forward ripping the knife from her shoulder, front flipping to stand in front of the boys. She held her shoulder and collapsed on her knee.
"You asshole!"
Boruto stayed stunned on the ground. Shikamra wincing and grabbing at his wounded arm landed next to his friend. His mouth was dry and he couldn't talk. He gasped. Kirai was about to hit him, but the pain from the Nara's kunai kept her from doing so.
"That damn kid…."
With that the woman jumped up into the trees leaving the boys. The fog then dispersed. Almost losing consciousness, the fresh air that now surrounded him allowed Shikadai to regaining his senses. He looked down at his friend. Boruto's cheek was stained red from the slice Kirai had inflicted. He noticed the boy had multiple bruises on his left shoulder, and blood that came from his mouth- the same wound Shikadai had. However there was something that caught Shikadai's eye. Boruto's usually clean white shirt was glowing at his stomach area. The boy's eyes were wide open in a state of horror.
"Boruto-kun?"
Boruto continued to stare up. He was unresponsive. Shikadai leaned wincing and lifted up Boruto's shirt. A symbol the boy had never seen was on Boruto's stomach. Before Shikadai could call out to his friend again Boruto grabbed his arm harshly and stared at him terrified. He began screaming at the top of his lungs. Shikadai froze as he watched his friend begin to jerk uncontrollably in pain.
Suddenly Tai appeared with Sasuke, Sai, Shikamaru, and Kiba behind him.
"There they… Boruto-kun? Shikadai-kun… What happened?"
Boruto's screams echoed against the trees. Shikadai looked at Tai and his father. His eyes rolled to the back of his head and he lost complete consciousness. Sai and Tai stared in confusion at the two boys. Shikamaru grabbed his son before his head came into contact with the ground. Hinata ran to her child and lifeted his hand. Her heart broke each time she heard him scream. Tai looked at Sai scared.
"What's-What's happening Sai-san?"
Sai had no idea what to tell the boy. He was just as confused as he was sure everyone else was.
"BORUTO! BORUTO! Baby talk to mommy. What's hurting you?"
Sasuke looked around the area to see if he could spot someone.
"Byakugan!"
Hinata gasped as she stared at her son. His chakra levels were going haywire. Sasuke and Shikamaru looked at the woman.
"What's wrong Hinata?"
Hinata was shaking. Sasuke instantly stood beside her. Boruto kept on screaming, Shikadai's hand was still on his stomach. She looked over at Shikadai, though his chakra was nowhere near being as messed up as Boruto's, it was still bad.
"We-we-we have to get them to a hospital quickly."
Sai instantly drew four of his giant birds to transport his friends and kids back to the other side of the gate. Sai stood on his and helped Tai get on. Shikamaru hoisted his child on another. Sasuke got on his, but after helping Hinata and Boruto on theirs. Hinata instantly began to try and heal her son. She kept looking at Shikadai. His chakra had now stabled itself somehow, but Boruto's was getting worse by the second. She then noticed his stomach was glowing. Shaking still, she lifted his shirt and placed her hand on it. Her touch caused a violent reaction from her son, because he then dug his nails into her arm after she touched it. The others noticed.
"Hinata-chan!?"
"I'm-I'm okay."
Shikadai blinked a couple of times. He whispered.
"She did something."
Shikamaru looked at his son.
"What?" He leaned down to hear what he had said.
"Tou-san. She put something in him."
Shikamaru looked over at Hinata. Boruto still had his nails dug into her arm. He saw the glowing of the boy's stomach begin to flicker.
Hima clawed at her stomach with her right hand. Naruto was holding the other. He was deep in thought.
Why couldn't I sense Boruto and Shikadai for a minute? They were there then they just vanished.
Sarada looked at Hima. She walked over to her.
"Hima what are you doing?"
Sakura and Temari both looked at the little girl with concern. She began to claw harder. She had a pained expression on her face. She tugged at her father's hand breaking Naruto out of his trance. Naruto looked down.
"Hima?"
"Papa, my stomach hurts a lot!"
Naruto bent down to his daughter. Tears were forming at the corners of her eyes. Naruto grabbed her other hand to keep her from scratching it anymore. She began to run in place. It seemed as though she was throwing a tantrum.
Kitt something's in her stomach. I can sense it.
Yeah… I do now too. What is that?
Naruto asked sakura to hold Hima's hands. Sakura obliged. The rest of the gang looked at the scene.
Temari bent down next to Naruto. Naruto lifted Hima's shirt and a symbol appeared and then vanished.
Did you see that?
Yeah.
Hima then stopped moving all together and asked Sakura if she could let go. Sakura did but kept an eye on the girl confused. Hima stood in place as if nothing had just happened. She looked up and pointed.
"Papa, they're back!"
Sure enough Sai's birds landed. Temari seeing Shikadai ran to him.
"SHIKADAI!"
"Woman, let me get him off first."
Shikamaru pushed past his wife carrying his son who was curled up in his chest. He sat him down.
"Ino. Sakura. Mind working your magic?"
The women nodded.
"Kids we need you to get away from this. Wait at the park please."
Karui and Tamaki spoke up.
"We'll take them."
Boruto was still writhing in his mother's arms. Sasuke hopped off as did Sai and Tai. Tai ran to Lee who hugged his child tightly. Lee then ushered him to go with the other kids. Sarada, Chocho, Himawari, Inojin and Tai all stared at the boys in complete shock as Boruto's screams echoed and as they began to walk away from the scene with Karui and Tamaki who tried their best to shield them from the scene. Sakura and Ino, both entering doctor mode ran to the two boys. Temari was shaking as she watched her only son getting healed by Ino. Choji ran to Shikamaru.
"What happened?"
Shikamaru grabbed Temari as she began to hysterically cry.
"I'm not sure. We found Tai first who was looking for them. He said they both ran off as soon as they entered the gates."
Naruto gritted his teeth together.
Just as Orichimaru said Kitt…
Yeah But I didn't think today.
Seems like he had it planned for today all along. Boruto seems to have the sam symbol on his stoamch too...
Tenten and Choji stared at the scene. Shino and Kiba looked at each other. Naruto hovered over Sakura, Hinata and his kid. Nothing like this had happened in a while. So why now? Naruto, Sasuke, and Shikamaru all looked at one another in understanding.
"Sai-kun I need you to take Tenten-chan and Bushy Brow up in the sky."
Sai, Tenten and Lee all looked at the Hokage.
"What? Why?"
Tenten looked a Naruto. Sasuke grunted.
"Are you going against his words?"
Tenten glared at Sasuke.
"Of course not."
"Then just do it."
Tenten stuck out her tongue at Sasuke. She then looked at Sai and Lee who were already standing on birds three nodded and scattered.
"Temari, Choji, Kiba-kun, Shino-kun, I'm going to have you all get the other jonin and chunin level ninjas and make sure everything is secure around the village properly. Have Karui also join you."
"But Shikadai-"
Shikamaru interrupted his wife.
"If you want to protect him follow orders Temari. You don't want to disrespect the Hokage."
Temari looked down. She nodded slowly.
"Fine. Come on boys."
They left.
"Shikamaru. Sasuke. I need you to get out letters to the other Kage about this predicament."
Ino and Sakura looked up.
"Wait. What predicament. Naruto-kun, Sasuke-kun, Shikamaru kun? What's going on?"
Naruto looked down at his kid.
"Konoha is now under a state of emergency."
The Serpent will get whatever he wants. He will achieve his goal this time. The Time has come for the new rise.
Kirai stumbled into the hidden place and bowed before her lord. Her black dress was ripped up at the bottom, her bare feet aching from the running she had to do to make it back to her lord.
"I have done what you have asked me Orichimaru-sama. The boy is now connected."
Kabuto lifted his glasses.
"Not only that, but from what Juugo witnessed, the girl was also affected Orichimaru-sama."
Orichimaru rose from his chair.
"I see. I love when something bigger is given from what you originally bargained for. Shall we proceed with phase two now?"
Kirai winced. Orichimaru turned to her.
"My child. What happened to your shoulder?
Kirai looked down.
"The Nara boy was able to strike me Orichimaru-sama."
Orichimaru nodded.
"Karin. Heal her."
Karin grunted in annoyance. The woman walked over to the girl and offered her arm.
"Here, but don't bite too hard you little brat."
Kirai smirked maliciously.
"It's not like you could catch me Karin-senpai."
With that the girl bit down. Harshly. Karin almost smacked her but was stopped by Kabuto.
"Karin. I wouldn't hurt Kirai, she's detrimental in phase two. You know that."
The red head glared at Kabuto before yanking her wrist from him.
"Then tell her to stop messing with me."
Orichimaru ignored the trio and walked into a room where a jail cell was located. He walked over to a cell and opened it up.
"Yuugure."
A male with dirty blonde hair was laying in the corner of the cell. He opened his eyes. Slowly lifting his body up, he stared at the darkness.
"Have you learned your lesson?"
The boy looked at his lord. He nodded slowly. Orichimara licked his lips.
"Then it is time you made your grand appearance."
