"Alright! Welcome back ladies and gentleman to the Fortune Cup! We'll now continue the high-octane dueling action with our next match: Jack Atlas vs Anna Amada!" The two duelists walked to the field, and went to their respective sides after shuffling their decks and shaking hands.

"Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, let's get ready to duel! Jack Atlas, are you ready?"

"I was born ready!"

"Anna Amada, are you ready?"

"Bring it on!"

"Then let's duel!" Anna took the first turn.

"I'll start this off by summoning my Genex Turbine in attack mode." The monster materialized on the field.

"I'll finish by placing two face-downs."

"Alright then, I'll start by summoning my Vice Dragon to the field." The dragon roared to life but soon calmed down as it's power decreased.

"He won't be staying for long, of course. He's giving way for Strong Wind Dragon!" However as the dragon materialized, it was immediately brought down by a giant wheel with spikes that landed on it's back.

"Sorry Jack, but your big bad dragon's gonna have to calm down. Considering the Nightmare Wheel will not only stop it's attacks and ability to change battle positions, but also because for every one of my turns you'll lose 500 life points." Jack smirked in respect and challenge.

"Nice moves. I could say I'm surprised and locked out of any move, but..." he took a card from his hand.

"...I'm not. I play my Trap Eater! Not only do I get it as a monster on my field, but I also get rid of your pesky Wheel." And, as he said this, Trap Eater appeared on the field, devouring the Nightmare Wheel on the back of Strong Wind Dragon.

"Now then, where was I? Oh yes. Trap Eater! Destroy her Turbine!" Before the attack connected however, Anna lifted her hand, revealing her second face-down.

"I activate my Metalmorph! Now Genex Turbine is stronger than your Trap Eater." The purple gluton was destroyed and Jack's life points lowered by 200.

"I still have my Strong Wind Dragon to attack! And in case you didn't notice, it's stronger than normal. When he took Vice Dragon's place, he also brought an extra 500 ATK points. So, Strong Wind Dragon, attack!" The dragon flapped it's wings at Genex Turbine destroying it. Anna watched as her life points lowered to 3200.

"I'll finish my turn with these two face-down. Your move Amada."

"Let's see if I can't wipe that smirk of your face." She drew with confidence.

"I'll start by activating my Card Of Sanctity spell card, so we both get to draw until we have six cards in our hand. Next I'm summoning my Genex Neutron to the field. Now I'll activate my Double Summon to bring in Genex Doctor as company. Next I activate my Doctor's ability, destroying it and taking your dragon along for the ride!" The two monsters explode, leaving Anna with a smirk and Jack unfazed.

"If this is all you have to offer I'm afraid this will turn out to be a short duel."

"I've got more to throw at you. Neutron! Attack Jack directly!"

"Sorry honey that's not how it's gonna go. I activate my trap! Call of The Haunted. Soar once again Vice Dragon!"

"Crap! I activate my spell Limiter Removal! Now Neutron take him down!"

"Don't think so! I've got another trick up my sleeve! Go Mirror Force!"

"No!" Anna's Genex Neutron attacked the barrier of Mirror Force, exploding afterwards. Jack's grin was now similar to that of a demon. A demon with a plan. Things were not looking good.

"I end my turn with two facedowns, which activates my Neutron's ability that allows me to search my deck for a tuner monster. The monster I pick is Genex Controller. Your turn."

"Indeed. I'll start by placing these two cards facedown. Next I'll have my Vice Dragon attack you directly!" Anna took the hit seeing her life points lower to 1200.

"I think I'll end my turn with that. Almost done Amada."

"But it's not over yet! First I activate my facedown Cyber Summon Blaster. With it you'll be losing 300 life points everytime I summon a machine type monster. Now I'll summon my Genex Controller to the field! Next I activate my other facedown, Monster Reborn! Come on back Genex Turbine!" Jack's life points were now down to 3200. She smiled in excitement as she raised her hand.

"Now I'll tune my Genex Turbine with my Genex Controller! Rise up Genex Ally Triforce!" The machine stood tall and imposing on the field. Jack did not look worried, only interested and in a battle stance.

"I activate my trap, Tuner Capture! Now because you Synchro Summoned I can take the tuner that you used from the graveyard and put him on my field. So your Controller is now defending me."

"That doesn't really matter. I'm interested in that dragon of yours. Triforce! Attack Vice Dragon!"

The attack connected and Jack's life points lowered once more to 2700.

"I end my turn with that."

"Well then I suppose it's time to end this."

"What are you talking about Jack? I've got the clear advantage here."

"You should've gone for the Controller."

"What?"

"My turn! I'll start by activating my facedown, Monster Reborn! Vice Dragon rise once more!"

"Oh crap!"

"That's right! I'm now tuning my Vice Dragon with your Genex Controller! You know what's coming next! Step forth Red Dragon Archfiend!" The massive red beast roared to life, it's wings engulfing Jack's field in shade.

"Now my dragon, burn that Triforce to the ground!" The Dragon did as requested, burning away the genex ally and 500 of Anna's life points.

"Now what Amada?"

"Give me a second and I'll show you! Nice! I summon my Genex Ally Duradark!" Jack's life points decreased to 2400.

"What?"

"That's right! Now with Duradark I can destroy a monster on your side of the field that has the same attribute. Say goodbye to your Red Dragon Archfiend." The monster exploded into a million tiny pieces and Anna stood proud of her achievement. Jack was starting to get angry.

"You're just lucky Duradark can't attack in the same turn I activate it's effect. Guess I'll have to wait until the next turn to take you down."

"I'll draw my card and set it facedown, ending my turn."

"Well then I guess I'll just have to attack with my Duradark!"

"I activate my trap, Half or Nothing! Now you have a choice to make, lower your monsters attack points by half until the end of the turn or end the battle phase now."

"I choose to half my monsters ATK." The attack still connected with Jack taking another hit to his life points that were now down to 1500.

"Things aren't looking up for you are they Jack?"

"Please I just gave you a few pity shots. Now things are going to be different! I activate my spell card Pot of Greed! Next I place to cards facedown and end my turn."

"Then I guess this is over. I'll activate my spell Machine Assembly Line, increasing the ATK of all machines by 200 points. Duradark, attack!"

"Go Call of The Haunted!"

"Another one?"

"It pays to be prepared. Red Dragon Archfiend, rise once more!"

"Damn! I end my turn with a facedown."

"My move! I attack with my Red Dragon Archfiend!"

"I activate my facedown Book of Moon!" Red Dragon Archfiend's attack stopped and the card was flipped face down.

"You're only delaying the inevitable Amada!"

"Like hell! I set a monster facedown and end my turn."

"I think it's about time this is finished! You played a good game, but it's over. I flip my Red Dragon Archfiend face-up. Now attack that facedown monster!" Genex Ally Crusher was destroyed.

"Now what Jack? You can't attack anymore."

"You think so? Then how about I activate my facedown, Lineage of Destruction?"

"Oh god, not that!"

"Yes, this! Since I just destroyed your defense position monster with a level 8 monster, I get to give that level 8 a chance to attack again! So Red Dragon Archfiend, finish this!" Once the smoke cleared Anna was on her knees, her life points depleted. Jack stood with arms crossed and waited for the announcer.

"And that's that! Ladies and gentleman, after a very close duel your winner is Jack Atlas!" Jack then walked over to Anna and stretched his hand to her. She took it and stood, shaking hands with him and smiling. He flashed a smile as well.

"Good duel."

"I agree. Maybe we should do this again. You have great potential."

They both walked back to their friends. Anna hugged Crow and Jack went to stand with Carly.

"Alright what a contest this is turning out to be! We'll be back for more dueling action after a short break!"
