Mega Chapter. Akiza vs Crow and Yusei vs Bruno. Let's get it on!

"Let's get the next duels going ladies and gentleman. The duelists are in the respective fields and ready to begin. So without furder delay, let's duel!" (AN: Akiza and Crow first).
"All right then. I'll start things off by summoning my Evil Thorn. I'll now sacrifice it to activate it's ability. You're going to lose 300 life points and I get to summon two more Evil Thorns to the field." Crow watched as his life points decreased with the destruction of the Evil Thorn. That was soon followed by a couple of Evil Thorns appearing in Akiza's field in ATK mode.
"I end my turn with a couple of facedowns."
"All right then. I'm gonna start with my Blackwing Bora the Spear! Now Bora the Spear, attack one of her Evil Thorns." The winged beast did as ordered and anihilated the Evil Thorn along with 1600 of Akiza's life points.
"I'll end my turn with a facedown."
"My turn. I set one monster face-down on the field and I activate my remaining Evil Thorn's ability."
"Fine, but I'll activate my trap. Black Feather Beacon. With it I can now summon a level 4 or lower Blackwing to the field. I choose Gale the Wirlwind!" The beast roared to life as Crow's life points decreased to 3400.
"I'll end my turn with a facedown."
"Then it's my turn. I activate Black-Winged Strafe. With this card I just have to send a Blackwing from my hand to the graveyard and then I can destroy one of your facedown monsters. I send Shura the Blue Flame to the grave." At that time, Akiza's Hedgeguard was sent to the graveyard.
"But I'm not done. I tune my Gale the Wirlwind and my Bora the Spear, in order to synchro summon my Blackwing Armor Master!" The Crow-staple monster soared above him, waiting for the innevitable command.
"Now Armor Master, Finish this duel! Attack Akiza directly!"
"I don't think so, Crow. I activate my facedown Seed of Deception! With it I can now summon a level 2 or lower plant-type monster to the field. And I choose Dark Verger!" The small beast appeared on the field in defense position and disappeared once again a second later. Crow showed irritation.
"Fine then. I'll end my turn here."
"Then I guess it's my turn. I summon my Witch of the Black Rose. Also I will bring back Dark Verger from the graveyard using it's ability. Now I'll tune Witch of the Black Rose and Dark Verger to bring in my Queen of Thorns!" The new monster stood up and posed, imposing itself in front of Akiza.
"Next I'll activate my trap card, Plant Food Chain. With this my Queen will now gain 500 extra ATK points. Now Queen of Thorns, attack his Armor Master!" The Queen danced towards the winged warrior and enveloped him in thorns, pulling on them, destroying him. Crow's Life points decreased to 3300.
"I'll end my turn with that."
"New monster Akiza? I'm impressed."
"Trust me, you don't even know the half of it."
"Alright then. Because I've got no cards on the field I'll start by special summoning Blackwing Gust the Backblast." After he did, Crow had to cringe, watching as his life points were brought down by 1000.
"What just happened?"
"That is the effect of Queen of Thorns. Every time one of the players tries to normal or special summon a monster that is not a plant-type, that player will loose 1000 life points."
"Seriously? Great." He thought for a while and smiled. He remebered his facedown and now seemed like a good time to finally use it. He made his move
"Because I now have a Blackwing on the field I can also bring in Blackwing Gladius the Midnight Sun." Once again his life points lowered, leaving him with 1300 to spare.
"But I also activate Black Return! With this, because I special summoned a Blackwing, I can now choose one of your monsters and increase my life points by the same amount as it's attack and then send that monster back to where it came from." Akiza watched as her plan was undone. Crow got his life points up to 4800 and her Queen of Thorns flew back into her extra deck.
"I'll end my turn with this facedown."
"Alright. I guess there's no choice then. I activate my Pot of Greed spell card. Now I summon my Twilight Rose Knight. Thanks to his ability, I'll summon Lord Poison to the field. Now I'll tune the two to synchro summon my most famous beast, Black Rose Dragon!" The Dragon roared to life and awaited the commands of her master.
"Now Black Rose Dragon, attack that Gust the Backblast!" As the attack almost connected, a trap was lifted in Crow's field.
"I don't think that's gonna happen Akiza. My Waboku trap renders your attacks useless." Akiza was getting into it now.
"I'll end my turn with a facedown."
"Now let's see here... Yes! I summon Blackwing Pinaka the Waxing Moon! Next I'll tune Pinaka, Gust and Gladius, to synchro summon my best monster, Black-Winged Dragon!"
"Now Black-Winged Dragon, attack her Black Rose Dragon!"
"Bad move Crow. I activate Magic Cylinder! Now you're attack is negated and you loose life points equal to your monsters attack points."
"Damn it! I activate my Black-Winged Dragon's ability. By adding a Black Feather Counter to it and at the sacrifice of 700 of it's attack points, Black-Winged Dragon can stop the effect of your trap from connecting. I end my turn with a facedown."
"Then I guess it's my turn." Akiza knew she had to bring him down, quick. She didn't have many more tricks up her sleeve, so she needed to make this one count. It was time to take a risk. A big one.
"I activate my Mark of The Rose spell card. With it I'll take control of your Black-Winged Dragon at the cost of removing my Lord Poison from play." The card began it's effect and Black-Winged Dragon was pulled into Akiza's side of the field. Crow knew what came next and he was prepared. He didn't show it, he just waited.
"Black-Winged Dragon. Attack Crow directly!" Crow raised his arm almost immediately and called out.
"I activate my trap... Blackwing Backlash." Akiza watched as both dragons disappeared in one great explosion. That was that. She didn't have any cards that could save her. Her only hope was that Crow didn't have enough to take her down at that time. But considering how he'd been playing so far, he probably had something in store. To Akiza's dismay, that something was shown in the next turn.
"It's my turn. I'll activate the spell card Against the Wind. By sacrificing life points equal to the attack of a Blackwing monster in my graveyard, I can bring it back to the field. I sacrifice 2800 life points to bring Black-Winged Dragon back to the field." She was ok with this. It was a good duel. Now she waited.
"Black-Winged Dragon. Finish this duel. Attack Akiza directly!" The monster flew towards her and struck, bringing her life points down to 0. The crowd cheered and screamed their names.
"That is the end of the duel. Ladies and gentleman what a wonderful display. I give you, your winner, Crow Hogan!" As the announcer finished, he went to Akiza's side of the field and picked her up of the ground. They hugged it out.
"Good duel. You earned that win."
"Thanks. You were great too."
"Alright then. Let's take a short break. When we come back. Yusei will face off against Bruno." Crow went to Anna and she spent the break congratulating him and telling him that the rest would be easy as pie.
Akiza walked through the halls to meet Yusei in the cafeteria. She got there and found him with a coffee in hand, waiting for her. He spotted her and got up.
"Hey."
"Hey." They kissed softly and she sat down on the seat next to him. They kept their hands interlocked as they spoke.
"That was a good duel. You should be proud." She smiled. Of course the first thing he'd bring up was the duel.
"Yeah. I am. Crow actually surprised me. He was very careful with his moves. And he was always prepared."
"I'll have to watch out for that when I duel him later." He smirked and she rolled her eyes.
"You can't be sure you'll get to duel him. You've still got Bruno to deal with."
"Yeah. That's gonna be a fun duel. I can tell already." She adored his enthusiasm for dueling and admired his never-wavering confidence and belief that he would win.
"Just remember, you don't know what he can pull. At any point he could get you with something you've never seen before." He kissed her again.
"Don't worry. I'm ready for this."
"I know you are." Silence was present for a little while.
"We've been together for a while now."
"Yes we have."
"And it's been great, hasn't it?"
"Right... Yusei where are you going with this?" He saw she was a bit concerned. He knew what she was thinking.
"Don't make that face. I'm not breaking up with you. I would never do that. You're amazing and I never want you to leave my side ever again." She breathed a small sigh of relief. She wondered how ridiculous she looked now that her fears were cleared up. He smiled at her.
"Good. So where are you going with this?"
"Well... I have a question for you. It's kind of important. Well, actually I think it's a big deal." Her heart quickened. He isn't doing what I think he's doing is he?
"Yusei..."
"Akiza Izinsky will you..." The intercom blasted through with the announcers voice, calling on Yusei and Bruno to go to the field. She couldn't hear the last part of his question and her heart was going into hyperdrive. Was he really...?
"Will I what?"
"I asked you if you would move in with me?" Ok. Not what I was expecting. She was a little disappointed but happy all the same. He just asked her to move in with him. That was big. Huge. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to move in with him but that would involve a big change. She saw him speaking to her with concern, making her realize she hadn't answered him yet.
"You don't want this do you?" He looked down in shame.
"No. That's not it at all. I do want this, it's just... we're talking about a big step. Are you sure you want to do this?"
"I'm ready if you are." She thought about it for a little while. But there really was no choice to make.
"Yes. I'll move in with you. Or you'll move in with me, however you want to see it." He smiled and kissed her once again, as the announcer made a final call.
"We'll talk about this later. Now go. I don't want you to get desqualified because of me."
"I love you Akiza."
"I love you too. Now go on. Get out there and win this." He nodded and went towards the field, leaving her to smile and wonder what the future would hold.
"Ladies and gentleman, we are back. After a small delay, Yusei and Bruno will now face off in the last duel of the semi-finals to see who will get the chance to move on to the next round." Both Yusei and Bruno got in a battle stance and waited for the announcer.
"Bruno Borelli, are you ready?"
"Ready!"
"Yusei Fudo, are you ready?"
"Let's do this!"
"Then it's time to duel!" They both drew their cards as the crowd cheered on. Yusei took the first turn.
"My move! I'll start by sending one monster from my hand to the graveyard to special summon Quickraw Synchron. Next I'll summon Tuningware. But they won't be sticking around for long. I use quickdraw Synchron's ability and tune him as Turbo Synchron with my Tuningware. Now let's rev it up! Come on out Turbo Warrior!" The warrior did his usual introduction, landing on the field ready for battle. Yusei drew a card thanks to Tuningware's effect.
"I'll end my turn with two facedowns."
"Then I guess it's my turn now!" I'll start by summoning my T.G. Catapult Dragon to the field. Now thanks to his ability I can also summon my T.G. Jet Falcon. Now I'll tune Jet Falcon and Catapult Dragon to synchro summon my T.G. Power Gladiator!" The mechanical warrior branded his axe and took up a battle stance.
"Now I activate a spell, TGX300. With it, monsters on my field will gain 300 ATK points for every T.G. monster I control. Right now that means my monsters get 300 extra ATK points. Now, Power Gladiator, destroy his Turbo Warrior!"
"I activate my trap, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. Now you're attack is negated and I'll be able to use it again next turn."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that last part. I activate my quick-play spell card, Mystical Space Typhoon." Yusei's Scrap-Iron Scarecrow was removed from the field, leaving Bruno smirking.
"Thanks for showing me where your scarecrow was. You just made my life a lot easier. Now, I think I'll end my turn with a facedown. Your turn."
"Then I'll start by activating my Rush Recklessly spell card. Next I'm attacking with my Turbo Warrior." Yusei ordered the attack with confidence.
"I don't think so Yusei. I activate my trap, TG1-EM1! With it, I now get to take a T.G. monster on my field and a monster on your field and have them trade places. So now my Turbo Warrior is attacking your Power Gladiator." Yusei wasn't about to let that happen.
"I activate my Power Frame trap card. So now your atttack is stopped and Power Gladiator is staying on my field. Also thanks to the power increase I gave Turbo Warrior, Power Gladiator will now gain an extra 700 ATK points." Bruno gritted his teeth, but waited patiently for Yusei to end his turn.
"Now I'll end my turn with 2 facedowns."
"I guess it's my time to show you what I've got. I'll start by bringing T.G. Cyber Magician to the field. Now, using his ability, I'll tune him with the T.G. Rush Rhino in my hand, to synchro summon, T.G. Hyper Librarian." The new synchro joined Bruno's field.
"I activate the spell United We Stand! With it my Hyper Librarian will now gain 1600 ATK points. Now go Hyper Librarian, attack Power Gladiator."
"Don't think so Bruno. I activate my facedown Half or Nothing. Now you get to choose between lowering your monster's ATK points by half until the end of the battle phase, or end the battle right now." Bruno couldn't sacrifice his Hyper Librarian so he made the only choice he could.
"Alright, then I guess I'll have to end my battle phase and use another tactic. I end my turn with a facedown."
"And now it's my turn. I'll start by activating the Pot of Greed. So that means two new cards for me.
"And that means I activate my trap, Secret Barrel. With it you'll loose 200 life points for each card you hold in your hand and that you have on the field."
"It's not gonna be that easy. I activate my trap Hallowed Life Barrier! Now by discarding one card, all damage I would have taken this turn is reduced to zero. Now, as I was saying, I'm gonna summon Junk Synchron to the field. Next I'll tune Junk Synchron with Power Gladiator. Let's rev it up! Take flight Stardust Dragon!" Yusei's dragon soared above him and glowed with his unique shine. Meanwhile, thanks to Galdiator's and Hyper Librarian's effects, Bruno drew two cards.
"Now Stardust Dragon, attack Turbo Warrior!" The attack connected and Turbo Warrior was finished, along with 200 of Bruno's life points. The MC saw it fit to comment.
"Finally a dent as been made in one of the players life points! Yusei takes the advantage on the duel."
"Not for long Yusei."
"We'll see about that Bruno. I end my turn with a facedown."
"Then I guess it's my turn. I'll activate my Card of Sanctity." The players drew.
"Next I play Monster Reborn to bring my Power Galdiator back to the field... It's time Yusei."
"Bring it on."
"I will. Because I have a T.G. monster on the field, I get to special summon T.G. Stryker. Next I'll summon T.G. Drill Fish. Now I'll tune the two together, to synchro summon, T.G. Recipro Dragonfly." The final piece in Bruno's puzzle fell into place. He smiled wide and lifted his hand.
"Here we go, I tune Recipro Dragonfly, Power Gladiator and Hyper Librarian!" The three monsters combined with grace and with a burst of light, it was revealed.
"I synchro summon... T.G. Halberd Cannon!" At last, his most powerful beast stood before him. Bruno readied himself to make his move.
"Go Halberd Cannon. Destroy Stardust Dragon!" The attack was successful and the power forced Yusei to get down on his knees, as his life points lowered to 2200.
"What an incredible attack by Bruno. A comeback worthy of a champion."
"Nice move." Yusei smirked and Bruno smiled back. This was turning out to be a great challenge for Yusei and Bruno alike and they were enjoying it.
"I end my turn."
"Then I guess it's my turn. First, I'll activate my Limit Reverse trap card to bring back Tuningware to the field. Next I'll summon Effect Veiler. Now I'll tune the two to synchro summon the tuner synchro Formula Synchron." Tuningware's effect once again gave Yusei a new card. Bruno waited. It seemed that Yusei forgot he still had one last trick up his sleeve.
"Now I'll activate my Monster Reborn. Come on back Stardust Dragon! Now I tune Stardust Dragon and Formula Synchron! You know what's coming Bruno. I synchro summon Shooting Star Dragon!" Just as the dragon was making his introductory flight, Bruno made his move.
"I activate the effect of Halberd Cannon! Now your Shooting Star Dragon will be destroyed. You should've thought this through Yusei." Then Yusei smirked.
"I did. I activate my spell, My Body as a Shield! Now by sacrificing 1500 life points, your monster's effect is negated and it is destroyed." Bruno stood there as his master plan fell to the ground. He could anticipate what Yusei was going to do next.
"I activate my Shooting Star Dragon's first ability. Now I'll reveal the top 5 cards of my deck and for each Tuner monster that is revealed, my dragon gets a new attack." Yusei drew the 5 cards. Amongst them there were 2 tuners: Junk Synchron and Debris Dragon. Bruno waited for the attacks to come, but Yusei interrupted his dread.
"Bruno!" He looked up to Yusei.
"It was a good duel." He nodded to him and Bruno held his ground, waiting for the hits to come.
"Shooting Star Dragon... attack Bruno directly!" The dragon swooped down from the skies and struck Bruno for the first time, taking his life points down to 500.
"And again!" Shooting Star Dragon shot a beam of light and destruction from it's mouth finishing Bruno and the duel. The crowd roared to life and clapped to the amazing spectacle they had just witnessed, not even realizing what was still to come. The MC spoke.
"The duel is over. Yusei won and will now move on to the final,where he will face Crow Hogan and Jack Atlas in a three-way turbo duel for the chance to become the champion of this Fortune Cup. We will now take a break and return later." Meanwhile, Yusei went to Bruno gave him his hand to lift him up and they shook hands, smiling at each other.
"You almost had me there."
"Next time I'll remember not to give you a new hand."
"You do that."
"Congratulations Yusei." They both walked to their friends and waited eagerly for the final call to action. Akiza moved to Yusei's side and Bruno went up to his newly re-encountered love, Sherry. Crow turned to Yusei and Jack.
"So... You guys know what's coming next right?" They both turned to him and smirked as Jack spoke up first.
"Yeah, I'm about to be crowned king once more".
"I wouldn't be so sure Jack. You've always been a bit hasty. Maybe you'll be the first to go while me and Crow duel each other for the trophy."
"Me lose to Crow? I didn't know you had become a comedian in your off-time Yusei." Now the group found themselves laughing as Crow tried to choke Jack with Anna holding him back. Finally the announcer spoke.
"Welcome back to the final duel of this Fortune Cup. The winner of this match will be our new champion! And speaking of champions, the three contenders for the title are now moving to the starting line." Yusei, Jack and Crow moved side by side, on their duel runners to the line on the oval track.
"Alright guys. Here we are. Riding together again."
"Don't be such a sentimentalist Crow. And besides, we're running against each other, not together."
"Yeah, yeah Jack. Keep talking. We'll see how much of a badass you are when I take you down."
"Bring it on Birdface!"
"C'mon you guys, take it easy. Let's just have fun." The two looked at Yusei and the smile on his face and calmed down, smiling with him. They gripped their runner's controls tighter and readied themselves for the battle that was about to happen on that field.
"It seems the duelists are ready. Let's get this show on the road! Now, activate your Speed World 2 Speed Spells." The crowed roared as the hologram came to life above the rider's heads and they waited for the mechanical voice to start the countdown.
"Ready." They revved their engines.
"Get set." They leaned down on their runners.
"Duel."
