Final chapter. Jeez... I can't believe it took me three years to write this.I'll talk to you guys at the end. Until then...

-SOME HOURS AFTER THE DUEL... BACK AT YUSEI'S-
"This was fun." Crow lifted his glass to begin a speech of epic proportions.
"I never thought that after we all went our separate ways we would get to do this again. We each took our own roads, towards our own destinies and despite that, we somehow ended up back together again." He looked around during a small pause, smiling at the team.
"Maybe that was always meant to be. Maybe that was the whole plan from the begginning. I don't know if there is such a thing as destiny, even after all the things we went through all those years ago. Maybe we were all picked at random and it just happened." He looked now to Anna.
"We all changed throughout these years. Some of us met some new people to share our lives with. Some of us stayed with the people we already knew. Some of us were reunited by chance and got into a relationship we all saw coming and yes, I'm looking at you Yusei and Akiza. And of course some of us thought that the rest weren't really doing anything special and so they decided to come back from a cosmic grave. Seriously Bruno, what the hell man?..." Everybody laughed and reminisced together as they waited for the final words from Crow.
"Whatever the case might be, whatever we did in the past, whatever we do now or in the future, I just know that there are some universal truths and you can't argue with truth." Crow took a deep breath trying to keep down the tears and watched as a few people in the room failed.
"And the truth is I love you guys. All of you, even you Jack, for as much of a pain in the butt as you are. You're the best friends anybody could ask for. We've been through so much and it still feels like we haven't even started yet. So now I ask all of you to raise your glasses with me. Raise your glasses to this team, to what we've done together and to what we'll do in the future, because I'll be damned if I don't keep on enjoying every single second I spend with you guys." Everybody raised their glass to meet Crow's, tears in their eyes and smiles on their faces. The next hour and a half was spent hugging, talking and laughing. Eventually everyone went to their respective homes, except for Akiza, who was at the counter doing the dishes.
"So, when do you want to start moving?" Yusei walked up to her and grabbed her by the waist. He kissed her cheek and settled his face on her shoulder.
"Not today. There's plenty of time. I'm sure the team will want to help, so let's just wait a bit. After all, you heard Crow. We've got our whole futures together." He turned her around so she would face him and she smiled lightly at him, love in both of their gazes.
"I guess you're right. Besides, I'm kinda tired. I need to get to bed." She kissed him and went to move away when he held onto her a little tightly. She looked at him with curiosity written all over her face.
"You can stay here tonight." She smiled wide and shook her head in confirmation.
"I'd like that." They grabbed onto each other lovingly, lips connecting once more in a fervent kiss, as the midnight moon gleamed against their faces.
The End. I'm sure some of you are looking for answers as to why this fanfic took so long to finish. Unfortunately the only answer I can give you is that life happens and one day you're writing a story and the next day you're procrastinating and when you finally notice what's going on it's been two years since you're last update. The only thing I'll say, besides apologising profusely to all of you who have been waiting, is that this is a lesson learned and from here on out I will write my stories to completion before I post them, therefore avoiding this sort of problem in the future. I would very much appreciate if you could review this final chapter and indicate any problems you may find. If you enjoyed this story let me know by favouriting it and I thank you all immensely for sticking with me through this. Until the next story...
THANKS FOR READING!
