Robin's POV

I looked around the table seated with most of the Justice League founders. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern and Flash were all present. Only Aquaman wasn't here, so I'm currently occupying his seat.

Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern and Flash were seated across the table. I was seated between Batman and Wonder Woman. Batman and I have not spoken much except for a small greeting when I was beamed up here.

Superman was the one who will be conducting the meeting with him standing right at the end of the table, facing the rest of us.

"Now that we are all here, I will begin the meeting. Recently, we have received reports of... supernatural beings invading a town in Illinois."

The lights in the room suddenly dimmed and what seems to be the holographic version of the town that Superman had just mentioned, appeared at the center of the table. Its three-dimensional structure gave us more insight of how the place was mapped. Then the residents of the town started appearing as well.

What's strange was that there were some flying beings around the place. They seem to be scaring the citizens, if it was anything to go by with how the people seemed to be frozen mid-run.

That wasn't the worst part though, what made us all tense was the fact that there was a giant plant creature clinging onto various buildings and snatching some of the screaming people off the streets with its long, thick roots.

There were other bizarre beings scattered around the small town as well. There was one near an electronic store, his whole body seems to be made out of the electronic appliances he had stolen from said store. With how he picked the different electronics off the shelves of the store and attached them to himself, it appears that he was trying to upgrade himself.

Nearby, there was another mechanic being with a flaming Mohawk and jet pack on his back that keeps him floating above the ground. While airborne, he tries to blow up the terrified people with rocket launchers implanted into his suit.

On the the other side of the town, there seems to be a weather controller who was causing his own havoc with tornadoes, lightnings and hailstorms. There doesn't seem to be much place for the people to hide with the tornadoes tearing through buildings. The lightnings wasn't much better with how they struck anything they could reach including trees, cars and utility poles. Causing just about as much damage as the others, if not more, was the hailstorm. The bowling ball sized hail stones are big and hard enough to smash through windows and dent cars easily.

That was to only name a few, there were others like the guitar girl and a short, plump man who was unleashing snakes and other creepy crawlies on the streets with a box. There was no end to the chaos.

After all the structures and people had appeared in the hologram, the colours were finally added to it. My eyes widened at how clearly the hologram now showcased the destruction of the town. What's worse was that the flying beings were green with blood red eyes. It was easier to understand what Superman had said about the supernatural beings.

The green specter-like beings does seem supernatural with how they looked just like the people who dressed up as bed sheet ghosts during Halloween. However, the ones causing more damage than them looked just like the everyday villains we fought. There doesn't seem to be anything supernatural about them other than their powers, which any meta-human can have.

"What you see here are what the locals call 'ghosts'."

Flash was about to say something when Superman immediately cut him off.

"Earlier on, John Zatara, Martian Manhunter and I had went to check if these were really specters. Zatara had already confirmed that they are in fact ghosts and they seem to have come through a portal that separates their dimension from ours."

The hologram zoomed into a building made of red bricks and had some kind of UFO-like contraption attached to the roof. But before I could read the words on the sign in front of the house, the hologram had already magnified the interior of what appears to be the basement.

The portal was shaped like a pentagon and was fixed into the wall. Green swirls could be seen in the man-made portal.

"This portal was made by Jack and Madeline Fenton who had died three months ago. Now it opens at random and let ghosts escape into our world."

I blinked, the deceased couple's name sounds just like Danny's adoptive ones. And they had died three months ago? Isn't that the same time the Nasty Burger explosion had occurred and Danny went missing? I narrowed my eyes as my heart started beating faster and decided to speak up.

"Is the town's name Amity Park...?" I asked slowly as I turned to Superman.

Superman looked at me, surprised, but he recovered almost instantly.

"Yes, the ghost invasion is in Amity Park."

I felt my eyes widened and my breath hitched. I could feel all of the others' concerned and confused gaze trained on me, but I didn't care. I have to get to Amity Park now.

Here's some explanation in case some of you wants it: I had always wanted the JL to have more high-tech gadgets, so I decided that in this story, the Zeta-beams would not need to have two of the Zeta-tubes on each end. And as for the hologram, I just thought it would make it cooler. Also, I know that the recruitment of new Titans was set after the Trigon episode, but just pretend that it happened before Raven's father appear.

Next chapter the messengers will appear and don't forget to tell me what you think!
