Hey guys! Surprise chappie in the middle of the week~
Sorry, it has been damn insane these past few months. Finally, the end of year exams are over so I have more time to rest. Can't believe the stress from the last few months had almost dragged me back into depression again. Good news is that I'm going to be able to graduate next year, although I'm probably going to be more stressed out than this year. Both school and personal shit has definitely screwed me over good this year. I can't wait to feel the feeling of depression creeping up on me again! Yippee! -~-" Sigh, well what can you do about it? Life is shit, reality sucks and the world is cruel.
So yeah, for those who thought I probably abandoned this story, don't worry I won't ;) This story is going to be long though, probably 30 chapters long? Idk, we'll see how many scenes I can fit into one chapter.

Danny's POV
I stared out at the big expanse with dilated blue eyes as I calmed down from my last nightmare, or a memory from the past to be more exact. Ebony hair stuck to my forehead that was also covered in sweat. Biting my lips, I ran a slightly shaky hand through my damp hair.
The gentle green and purple doors helped calm me and my pounding heart as I thought back to the same dream that I had yet again.
The screams, blood and lights were what I remembered vividly. The blood on my hands as I shook the mangled corpses of my family's bodies and the heart wrenching cries from my brother were always what made me wake up shaking and sweating. I was too young to know that our parents had died, Dick had known though. He had hugged me while sobbing violently and I had begged him to wake our family.
Four members of our family had died that day. Only our Uncle Rick had survived, but he had been in a coma and could not take care of us. The doctors had also said that he was paralysed from the head down.
I closed my eyes and sighed heavily as I thought of what happened afterwards. I remembered we were brought to a juvenile detention centre. And how horrible it was there. They didn't even give us a change of clothes to wear even though we were soaked with blood. The other kids constantly bullied both of us, but Richie had always protected me, he would always use his body to shield me when the other boys started beating and kicking us.
I opened my eyes wearily and looked into the distance where a small rocky path lead to a clearing with flowers and trees that Undergrowth had planted. He had built that as a gift to me when I had been crowned. Since then, it had been the place that I would go to when I need to take a breather and just be away from everything.
It was close enough for the guards to see me and rush there if there were to be any attack, but also far enough for me to get some peace and quiet.
With my mind made up, I decided I would go to the small garden until the servants call me for breakfast. Getting up from the comfy sofa that I had accidentally fallen asleep on, I placed the book about the history of Ghost Zone on the coffee table and left the room.
After my coronation, Clockwork had decided that I needed to know more about the Ghost Zone if I were to run it. So he got Fright Knight, who is now my personal guard, to teach me about the history of this spectral world. Frostbite and Pandora has also been teaching me how to fight with different weapons and my powers. Things like the geography of the Ghost Zone was also taught to me by them. Walker is making me learn about the rules and politics of this place. Clockwork made sure the rules weren't his made up ones.
Weird how some of my former enemies are now actually treating me like a decent person, or well, a ghost king.
Surprisingly, I've also started gaining some new powers. So Clockwork taught me how to meditate and concentrate properly. It has been surprisingly helpful. Then again, this is the time ghost we are talking about. His lessons has helped me in better control of both my new powers and the powers that I had already gotten.
I'm still working on my developing powers, but so far, I would say I have been doing a pretty good job. I have only ended up breaking and destroying some historical vase and paintings. Better than I have expected really.
Walking down the long hallway, I greeted some of the servants that had already started working. I heard from Clockwork that these servants had previously served Pariah Dark and had been waiting for either him to wake from his Forever Sleep or a new king to serve.
Finally getting to the large wooden doors of the castle, I pushed one of them open and stepped out. Breathing in the fresh air, that apparently did not smell any different from a typical morning in the human world, I began making my way to the small path that will lead me to the garden.
Just as I took two steps from the entrance of the castle, something small slammed itself into my side. Regaining my balance, I looked down at the culprit and smiled. With his tail wagging excitedly and red eyes staring up at me in greeting, Cujo let out a few happy barks as I picked him up.
"Good morning to you too. Guess you're an early riser like the other people working here huh?" I laughed as Cujo continued barking and licking my face.
Three weeks ago, we had assigned Cujo to be our guard dog. Now he lives in the castle with me and sometimes I would play with him. The other servants treat him like their own dog as well, spoiling him with treats and giving him all the attention he needs.
After getting more ghost dog slobber on my face, I put Cujo down. "I'll be at the garden if you need me," I told him as I petted him on the head. Cujo barked again before running off into the castle.
Continuing my way to the garden, I could see the different islands in the distance, some are specks and others are close enough that I'm able to tell who lives there. The closest was Clockwork's Tower, since becoming my advisor, he had moved his Clocktower closer to the castle. He doesn't stay there as long as he used to though, with other new responsibilities here at the castle, he usually went back to check on the timelines and make sure the world isn't going to end and to get away from the annoying Ancients and Observants.
Entering the unique and beautiful garden, I breathed in the various fragrance from the flowers. It was serene to say the least. It was hard to imagine that some of my enemies have become my greatest allies, although some were still displeased by the arrangement of me being king, most of them had accepted it and decided to give peace offerings.
Fright Knight had given me a specially designed black sword that both he and Frostbite are training me to use. Skulker gave me one of his most prized pelts that I wonder if I could just give back, because, ew… who would want to stare at the pelt of some probably extinct species of ghost every day? To make it worse, we had to place it in the throne room so as to make Skulker happy that his hard work is being appreciated by all. Now all the ghosts who comes to visit us would have the pleasure to feast their eyes on such an amazing work of art. Not.
At least I could put the box that Box Ghost gave me somewhere like the storage room so that it doesn't stand out as much. So far, I would say Undergrowth's present is the best of all. It has become my private garden that I get to enjoy after a hectic day of fending off the Observants and Ancients, and learning and training from the other ghosts to become a better king.
Sighing, I leaned against the bark of a tree, closing my eyes and listening to the rustling of the leaves as a gentle wind blew by, enjoying the feeling of the cooling breeze on my clammy skin.
Pandora has started reprimanding me for repeatedly sighing, she says I would sound like an old man if I do that too much. I had also noticed this too, I guess with all the new stress and lifestyle, I had subconsciously picked up on this new bad habit. Doesn't help that I have been having nightmares of what happened just last month, or the fact that I have started recovering some of my memories of my first family…
Feeling the wind getting strangely stronger and hearing sounds of crackling electricity, I opened my eyes to find that something was forming in the middle of my garden. My eyes widened in shock as something black the shape and size of a basketball, began to form in front of me. The 'ball' was around my chest-level and seems to be the source of where the sounds of electricity was coming from.
Expecting something bad to happen, like the black 'ball' exploding, I lifted my feet off the ground and began floating backwards to the way I came, keeping an eye on it.
But before I could call a guard or turn and speed away, the 'ball' did explode, except not in the way I had thought it would. First, it seems to cave in on itself and shrink a little, the unnaturally strong wind had also come to a sudden stop. All the sound appears to come to a standstill as only the pounding of my heart could be heard. Then faster than the blink of an eye, the weirdly shaped 'ball' exploded outwards, the shockwave knocked me to the ground as the wind came back full-force, this time it was blowing towards what appears to be a portal that has formed.
The electricity in the air made my hair stand as the electricity that the portal, or what seems to be a portal, emitted crackled and struck a few of the trees and plants around me. The trees and plants that has been struck by the fierce lightning, caught on fire and soon, smoke filled the air. The force of the wind wasn't helping either, it seems to be as strong as a tornado as it began uprooting a tree nearby and various flowers and clumps of grass started being sucked into the dark void of the portal.
Unlike the Fenton Portal or Vlad's ghost portal, this one was oval and black in the centre but a shade of swirling dark blue and violet could be seen in it. It was similar to the other portals that were either man-made or natural, but it has such a dark and unnatural vibe to it that it reminds me of wormholes in space. Certain that I do not wish to find out what could possibly be on the other side of the portal, I tried flying back towards the castle. With the wind blowing and lightning striking all around me, I could barely hear a thing. It became obvious that the force of the portal was too strong for me to escape, the flying debris made it worse as well.
Deciding to use my last resort, the power from the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire, I felt the almost overwhelming power from the two artifacts as they gave me the boost I needed. Slowly but surely, I made my way further away from the dark portal and the force that was sucking in everything around it. By now, the garden was almost unrecognisable, or at least the parts of the garden I can see are all stripped of their greenery. Only the dark brown soil was left behind.
Seeing, that I was getting closer to the castle in the distance, I got more determined to not get swallowed up by some freak-of-nature portal. Just as I was about to get out of the range of the strong force of the portal, something big and hard hit me and I saw a flash of brown before black spots started dotting my vision as pain blossomed in my arms and ribs. I almost didn't notice the weight of the crown was gone as it was knocked off from the sudden collision of the tree.
Stunned by the impact and the pain, I did not even have time to try and escape the vortex as I got sucked in with the rest of the garden.
It got hard to breathe and I could barely hear a thing aside from the buzzing and crackling of the electricity. The inside of the portal was also dark, so dark that even my enhanced night vision could barely see through the opaque black.
Then, a flash of blinding light and deafening crackle erupted from beside me as a lightning split the trunk of a tree in half, leaving scorch marks from where it had struck. That split second of illumination gave me a better view of what was inside the portal.
All around me was the same dark blue, violet and black from the portal and chunks of the garden. I started panicking as I was plunged into darkness again, from what I had seen in those milliseconds, the end of the portal wasn't in sight. This portal was like a long extending tunnel. The other portals worked like how you would walk through the door and be at the other side immediately.
The pressure in the air seems to be crushing me as my lungs can't seem to take in enough oxygen and a headache seems to be forming. This was bad, even in my ghost form, I do not need to breathe much, but if there isn't enough oxygen in this never-ending tunnel, then I would pass out soon. The headache was also getting worse, caused by the pressure of the portal, lack of oxygen, or crazy buzzing of electricity, I couldn't tell.
Forcing myself to stay calm and conscious, I flew forward, or what I think is forward, with the flow of where the portal was leading. Turning intangible to avoid the debris, I tried finding the way out. The faster I was out of here, the better.
However, what felt like hours had passed, in reality was probably a few minutes, I still couldn't see the end of the portal. Staying conscious was getting harder and the headache that I had was making me feel as if someone was hitting me with a giant hammer on the head over and over again. I doubt I could remain conscious for long as I turned tangible again and let the flow of the portal carry me. With lesser movements, I could probably conserve more oxygen.
So as I was carried to wherever the other side of the portal is, I closed my eyes and tried to ignore the pounding headache and the pain from where the tree had crash into me.

Third person POV
The Ocean's water glittered from the last of the sun's rays. The sky was a beautiful mix of purple, yellow and orange as the sun continued setting.
The nocturnal animals started coming out as the ones that ruled the day retired back to their homes to rest. The air was buzzing lightly with nightlife as dusk started to settle. The last rays of sunlight disappeared over the horizon and lights from the nearby city lit up the night. Distant sounds of traffic could be heard coming from the city.
The air shifted slightly, disrupting the peaceful and still night as the air became dense and a small black ball of energy began to form. The small 'ball' began to slowly grow in size as the light buzz of electricity started.
Most of the animals nearby started running away, sensing that whatever it was was unnatural and could be a possible threat.
Once the 'ball' had grown to the size of a baseball, it immediately exploded and caused nearby animals, that haven't left, to scramble away. Similarly to how the portal had appeared in the Ghost Zone, bolts of lightning began striking anything within its range, leaving scorched and burnt marks behind, some actually starting a small fire.
Unlike how Danny had saw the portal form from the Ghost Zone though, it had opened up the doorway almost immediately instead of growing in size more. The explosive power that had occurred wasn't as strong either, although the lightning coming from it was just as bad.
Instead of sucking everything around it into its dark abyss, it has started spitting out parts of the garden. Flowers, trees and dirt came tumbling out of the portal. This continued until a white haired teenager was thrown out of the dark void.
He was covered in the soil from the garden, his white clothing and hair was stained brown and green from the blood that had come from the injuries that the collision of the tree had caused. His body will no doubt be aching and sore the next day. But what was most noticeable was the bleeding gash that he had on his head.
Dazed and dizzy from being oxygen deprived, the boy had not been able to soften his landing. Whatever it was that he had landed on, rock or tree or something else, had left a head trauma for him.
He didn't even have time to cry out from the white hot pain as stars exploded from his vision and the dark spots started to grow until they covered his entire vision. He tried fighting for consciousness but knew he was losing.
The dark portal continued depositing more of the debris of the garden. Around two minutes later, the portal closed and disappeared as suddenly as it had first appeared. The pile of mess and burnt marks was the only indication that it had been there in the first place.
Soon after the mysterious portal had gone, a figure stepped out of the shadows from the side and approached the heap of debris.
Spotting a strange white glow emitting from somewhere in the pile, the figure found the teenager half buried in it. Staring at him, the figure noted the wounds the boy had and how he seem to be bleeding some kind of green substance.
What he noticed most was the half closed, cloudy neon green eyes staring back at him, the figure doubted the boy's mind was registering that he was standing in front of him though. Then, the boy's eyes slid shut as he seem to give in to the welcoming arms of unconsciousness.
Not a moment later, a bright flash of white light came from the injured boy, causing the figure to freeze. After the flash had died down, what the figure saw next surprised him. The previously white haired boy now has black hair, even his clothes had changed. Now all he was wearing was blue jeans with red sneakers and a white t-shirt. His wounds has also started bleeding red instead, he seem to have lost his previous glow and now looked much more human.
The figure watched the boy lying there, his mind racing. An idea began forming in his mind and a smirk found its way on his lips.
With his mind made up, the figure crouched down beside the raven haired teenager and dug him out from the pile. He carefully picked the boy up and started to make his way back from where he had come from. Smirk still present.
And this is how the story got it's name! This chapter marks the start of the roller-coaster ride to come! Next chapter, (I've already started on it) is back to Robin! Ohh~ how will that go? In Chapter 8, you'll find out more on what happened during and after Danny disappeared. **Remember! Read the important note below!**

Sin - NaMe : Haha, sorry if you're confuse about my last chapter's important note.(If that's what you mean) Here's a hopefully better description: Imagine all 50 episodes of DP are a stack of cards. They all arranged accordingly to the first episode being at the top of the stack and the last episode of DP(Phantom Planet) is at the bottom. Now, remove the last card(last episode, PP) and throw it away. Then, pick the card with the TUE episode out of the stack as well, and place it at the bottom of the stack. There! Hopefully this helps clear up some of your confusion!

**Now for the important note: Well, since you guys know how busy I am and how busy I'll get in the future, I have decided to put up some prompts or a short summary of all the ideas for different stories that I had thought up. I needed some motivation and inspiration so I ended up coming up with more ideas for different stories :P I know some of you are authors and even for those of you who are not, hopefully you'll be inspired to start your own story ;) I may or may not do the stories but I doubt I can finish all of them, and some of them are way too good to be left forgotten, so hopefully some of you will start one of them ;) If not, I guess you guys can voice out which one you want to see published most~
Here's some of the ideas I thought up: 1) Danny/Dick Bros, After the death of their parents, Danny and Dick got separated, Danny somehow(the reason will be elaborated in the story) got to another dimension where the JL has yet to form, after getting his powers, he joined the JL and became one of the founders. But one day, his brother can looking for him. See how Dick's and Danny's dimension of JL will react to this! P.S. May include a fight between Supes and Danny.
2) Danny/Dick Bros, After both of them being left orphaned, Danny and his older brother Dick got adopted by Bruce Wayne. Bruce made Dick Robin but Danny was still too young so he supports the Dynamic Duo in the Batcave. He still trains will them though. In this story, Robin will join the Young Justice League at 13 and Danny will get to meet the rest of the team. After a horrible fight between Batman and Robin though, Rob left to Jump City and Danny got upset. Danny ran away to try and find his brother, but got captured by the Joker. Through a Light meeting, Danny was then given to Vlad Masters to take care of, whether to be his apprentice or used as a weapon by the Light(More will be explained in the story). P.S. Yes, Danny does get his powers here.
3) Danny/Dick Bros, Danny was adopted by Vlad instead of the Fentons, he was raised to be his successor, but Danny did not like the idea of Vlad taking over the world and has been defying Vlad over the years.(Again, most of them are like prompts so they aren't complete ideas). Danny left and joined in helping the Avengers save the world. P.S. Basically Danny has his powers in all the story I thought up. Maybe over-protective Vlad in this one. And also Danny is in another dimension here.
4) Danny/Dick Bros, While Dick had been adopted by Bruce, Clark Kent AKA Superman ended up adopting Danny as the Child Protective Services didn't allow Bruce Wayne to adopt two children, seeing as he is a playboy and busy businessman too. While Dick is trained by Batman, watch as Danny is trained by the all amazing Superman!
5) Danny/Dick Bros, After TUE(or maybe not), Danny was left without his family and friends. So, he decided to go find his brother. Finally ending up in Jump City, Danny met Jinx. She tried to get Danny to join her and the H.I.V.E Five. Danny began hanging out with them(and maybe become friends?) P.S. Story inspired by Michael, just thought this was a great idea and should deserve its own story.
6) Danny/Dick Bros, After TUE(or maybe not as well), Danny was taken in by Clockwork and became his apprentice. He helps set the timelines right and ensure the world isn't in chaos. One day, after being given a vacation from Clockwork, Danny went to Jump City enjoy his break. There, he meets Beast Boy and quickly becomes friends with him.
7) Danny/Dick Bros, Danny ends up with the Fentons, or Jack Fenton to be more exact. Jack Fenton had lost his wife and daughter in an accident a year ago, and since then has become a drunkard. He had only adopted Danny for the monthly adoption money(this money is used to help out the family that has adopted an orphan financially) he can get. He uses the money for booze and constantly abuses Danny. One day Jack had died and Danny was taken by the GIW, through their experiments and torture, Danny got his ghost powers. GIW was then shut down by SHIELD and Danny was taken in as one of their top agents. Now what would happen when they cross path with the JL and Danny's brother? P.S. Yes, it is a crossover with the Avengers. And yes, Danny is in another dimension in this story as well.
8) Danny/Dick Bros, Probably a connected one-shots of how Danny meets Robin's team, the Teen Titans, and other stuff. Here, Danny and Dick has already found each other and the rest of the Titans had no clue that Robin has a sibling. Possibly contain swag Danny.
9) This one's special. I even already have a name for it, its Bird of Hope. This one centres around Dick where he was adopted by Batman but one day meets his family(his parents and two older brothers, no they're not in the circus. Both his dad and oldest brother are military, probably Navy SEALS for his dad.) when the portal to another dimension was discovered. This will show how people similar to our own universe(no super-powered beings) interact and get along with those from the completely different universe with superheroes and villains. And how Dick tries to hide his alter ego from his family and balance school, his family, and being a superhero. But most of all, this will focus on how Robin continues his journey as Red Bat(I even got his costume ready for this), Nightwing and Batman. Young Justice included and the rest of the Batfam(mostly Jason, Tim, Damien and maybe Terry) will be introduced. Although Dick will still be the youngest(or maybe just younger than most) in both his adopted and biological family.(The story will explain how that can happen and fill up other gaps.)
So ya, that's all for now ;) if there's more, I'll put up an important note for you guys. Keep in mind that all these ideas are flexible so for those who wants to use the story and maybe twist it around to suit your taste, then that's fine too :) I just find that there's too little Danny/Dick Bros story, and I'm kinda tired of re-reading the present stories like 10 times :P
