The trio continued their journey, passing the darkness of the woods.
Anna enjoyed the drive. She did not stop chattering, while Kristoff was just clammed up and somehow that was scary for Anna. Maybe because of the magic that was cast upon him.
After like hours of insipid yet dark journey, they finally saw a gleaming source of light, which was so bright.
"We're closer." Kristoff claimed. He drove Sven slower than before.
"Closer?..." Anna questioned. Her eyes focused on what was coming upon them.
It got clearer. They were heading toward the place that Kristoff had appraise before. The place that had two seasons, two opposite elements that miraculously never did collide. The place has freezing snow on the its east, and blazing lava on its west side. There was a tall and rocky mountain in between. On top of it, there built a black castle. The castle gleamed and glowed, even that it was completely covered by blackness.
"Is that the palace-" Anna stuttered.
"That is it. This is where I told you." Kristoff claimed.
Anna stared the castle. "Does Elsa live there?" She asked.
"What do you think?"
Elsa lives there. She's capable of everything.
"We need to find a way to get into the castle." Anna suddenly stated.
Kristoff frowned. "But how?" It was impossible, though.
Queen Elsa was sitting on her throne. It was another boring, useless day for her. No one was coming near her. No one.
Well, there was one person.
He accidentally met Elsa, who was roaming around the winter woods. But the man quickly ran away as he confronted the Queen, as she looked a lot like a ghost.
Elsa sighed deeply. She felt so lonely, again. After all this time, all she wanted was Arendelle. Now she got it, but she was turning it into a wreck. Deep in her heart, she wanted to go back, but thinking again, she did not bother to let all of the people to be suffering by her spell. Let them know, she thought.
The palace was tall, and gleaming in the full darkness. Even from far the shiny surface of the palace could be seen.
Anna sneaked in, and quickly hid behind a rock. The stairs were just a few inches in front of her, she could just run and barge into the doors, but yet, there were so much shadows guarding. She knew she would be busted if she do that.
"Anna," Kristoff whispered as he tiptoed and sat beside Anna.
"Kristoff, look. How do we get in?" Anna said as her eyes were scanning the whole place. There was no a single way to get a step in.
"I don't know- AH!" Kristoff yelled. Something was grasping his neck from behind.
"Kristoff-" Anna looked back, and so the same thing did happen to her.
Elsa took her braid end and curled it. She sighed. "This is so BORING!" She yelled. She stomped her feet.
But then, a shadow guard came in. "Your Majesty," It bowed.
"What?!" Elsa just gave a short, angry glance.
"There are... Intruders." The guard explained.
Elsa smirked. This is how I want it to be.
"Bring them in." Elsa commanded. The shadow guard then disappeared, and came two walking figures, with the guards by their sides.
As they got closer, Elsa immediately recognized one of the faces.
Freckles on her nose.
Blonde hair.
Those curious blue eyes.
"Greetings." Elsa stood up, giving the two intruders a devilish look.
"Elsa!" Anna exclaimed. She tilted her head and looked at her sister, standing proud and tall.
"I thought, you won't ever be coming to me." Elsa stated.
"I missed you!" Anna exclaimed. "This place is, amazing!" She praised, turning her head around to see the place.
"I know what I am capable of." Elsa said, looking at both her hands.
"Capable of making beauty...and disasters." Anna mockingly said.
Elsa flinched at her sister's words.
"Anna," Elsa furiously uttered. "What are you- and you too, doing here?" Elsa gazed at Anna, and shifted it to Kristoff. Her voice was cold as ice, sharp as a spike. It made Anna shivered.
"Elsa, please, reverse the curse. That's just what we want." Anna pleaded, while trying to escape from the shadows' grips. By Elsa's command, the shadows finally let go both of her and Kristoff.
"No." Elsa furiously stated.
"Why are you doing this?" Anna asked.
"Because you don't know how it feels being sneered, talked and whispered. You don't know what lies in those damn people's heads. You don't know what they see in me." Elsa said, almost in a sound of despair. "All they do is just accusing that I am a monster. An evil queen. A rebellious princess. A sorcery." She continued.
"Is that true?..." Anna realized everything. How that Elsa suffered more than she did, how that Elsa was being ignored more than herself.
"Of course! It was all because of your Papa. He told you lies about me, and you believed it." Elsa yelled. She breathed heavily and turned her face away. She could not hold it back anymore. She shed some tears, and sobbed. Her sobs were loud enough to make Anna noticed.
I believed it. Anna thought.
Elsa turned away and stepped further from Anna, heading to another large doorway. "Elsa, wait!" Anna said, running towards her sister.
"NO! You just don't understand." Elsa gave a 'stop' hand sign. She walked faster.
"Elsa, please." Anna ran and finally grabbed Elsa's glowing hands. She forced her to look at her.
I came all this way to give us a new start, and now that you're like wow! You're enlightened up my heart. Anna broke into song, and gazed into Elsa's pair of white eyes.
Well, this is who I really am, welcome to the real me. You have no idea, how great it feels to be free! Elsa curled up a little, sincere smile. She let go of Anna and twirled around, releasing some white sparks from her fingertips.
We've been falling out for way too long, so let's forget who's right and forget who's wrong, okay? Anna smiled widely. But Elsa replied with a frown. I don't know if that ever happens, but yeah...
Life's too short! Both sisters sang in unison.
To always feel shut out and unloved, by the sister I never know. Anna hissed.
Life's too short. Elsa sang.
To never let you see who I am, the true queen of the dark shadows! Elsa turned around, conjuring a humongous shadow behind her.
I never understood, but now I do.. The sisters looked at each other on one of the mirror-like walls.
Life's too short, to miss out on a sister like you. Anna and Elsa pointed to each other, smiling sheepishly.
"So... You won't come back?" Anna asked, raising a brow.
"BACK?! Hah, no way I'm going back to that hell." Elsa laughed maniacally.
"But," Anna said, and grabbed a pair of white gloves from her pocket.
"I don't believe you! I thought you- you..." Elsa narrowed her eyes.
"I just assumed like you would have to." Anna just shrugged.
"That will shove on the gloves, that is HOW your story ends?!" Elsa yelled in rage, shoving the gloves away.
Anna gasped. "It does! It's just like it was, except for that you are my friend."
"So, it is your plan to force me back in the bloody cage!" Elsa argued.
"Whoa, please, don't get upset." Anna tried to calm her sister down. "Let's get back on the same page." She pleaded,
Gee, thanks for coming up to see the place, and showing off your mastery of tact and grace, okay? Elsa swiftly stepped away, leaving Anna behind.
Run down those hills and spill everything, say everything, tell 'em about me! Elsa created a huge shadowy two sided door. Now go! She opened one of the doors, and mockingly allowing Anna to get the hell out of the place.
There it is! The door you loved to slam in my face. Anna furiously slammed the opened door. You did well there for a spell, but now you're back in the same place. She faced Elsa, and sneered her.
Kick me out if you want, but I'm the only one who, not one hundred percent, Anna tried to have Elsa facing her, but the Queen instantly formed into a shadow and vanished away. 'Cause the prophecy's you! Anna yelled. She couldn't stand her sister no more.
That was when Elsa suddenly formed back into a human being and gasped. You can think whatever you want 'cause I don't care! You're a fool who married a stranger. Elsa gave a furious yet annoying face.
That is so unfair! Anna protested.
I swear! I don't need your unhelping 'sisterly' support! Both of the sisters turned against each other.
HA! 'Cause life's too short! They yelled.
To let you treat the people down there, just as cruelly as you always treated me. Anna said to Elsa. Elsa has always treated her cruelly, and that was what she was doing to all of her subjects.
Life's too short! To listen to a reckless fool, who only ever sees the things she wants to see. Elsa pressed.
You don't know. Anna sang. You have no idea. Elsa replied.
What I've been through! Because of you! They confessed.
Life's too short, to waste another minute! Elsa passed through a doorway, which led to the second level of the castle. Anna followed behind.
Life's too short, to even have you in it! Elsa ran in the way the heart of the castle was located. There was a dead end. She could go nowhere. Life's too short!
"I've been so wrong about you!" Anna pointed to her sister.
"You've been so wrong about everything, Anna." Elsa voiced reserved, but her heart tempered.
Anna took a deep breath before slipping out the words, "I guessed, you are the prophecy!" Those words, which would lead her to get hurt, she didn't know it.
Elsa chuckled mischievously. "Yes, I AM the prophecy!" And with that, she aimed her hand to Anna, blasting something and struck her heart.
Anna collapsed. She clutched her chest, gasping for air.
