Chapter 6: A Reason to Fight

At the same time Shushu left for the village shelter, Ace fell asleep on Luffy's lap, and Boodle was thinking. Nami began to walk towards Luffy, bending down to, meet her face.

"Sorry for getting mad at you," Nami apologized, but it seemed to go over Luffy's head. However, Luffy smiled at Nami warmly.

"You don't have to say anything," Luffy smiled. "You lost someone important to you thanks to pirates," she then brushed the hair away from Ace's snoring face. "If I lost Ace..." she said softly, then looked at Nami. "Well don't worry about it." Nami smiled understandably at her.

"I can't take it anymore!" Boodle shouted so suddenly, it shocked both Nami and Ace awake. "I can't stand just watching Shushu and you youngsters fight my fight! I'm this village's chief, for crying out loud!"

"Chief calm down!" Nami spoke, but it only seemed to make the chief more frustrated.

"I can't calm down!" Boodle shouted, shocking Nami and Ace awake, then took a deep breathe. "It was 40 years ago. This was just a barren wasteland of an island. 'Let's build our village here, and forget the last village that was destroyed by pirates.'" This bit of info shocked the three of them. "With that in mind we built tiny and sparse houses into a beautiful successful harbor village! This village and its people are my treasure! I can't stand idle any longer. I shall fight!" At Boodle's declaration for battle, Buggy made his move.

"Fire the Buggy Cannonball!" Buggy ordered and soon an entire row of houses were destroyed in front of the four. The force of the explosion tossed all of them into air. Nami was left speechless. Ace landed, tipping her hat over her dark angered eyes.

"Even my house!" Boodle growled.

"Wait! Zero was in there!" Luffy shouted. As the destruction settled Ace ran up towards where she remembered Boodle's house was.

"Is that kid dead?" Boodle asked solemnly.

"He can't die yet!" Luffy shouted. "Zoro you alive!"

"Zoro! C'mon say something if your alive!" Ace shouted. Running into the rubble, she dispersed the smoke. Miraculously Zoro was alive and well.

"Yeah. . ." Zoro groaned. "Some trashy way to wake someone up."

"Zoro!" both Ace and Luffy ran up to hug Zoro, causing him to fall down.

"How did you just survive that?" Nami asked in disbelief.

"I can't believe your alive!" Ace cried as she hugged Zoro.

"I'm so glad, we can't lose our first-mate!" Luffy cheered while she hugged Zoro.

"Get Off!" Zoro shouted.

"I'm serious, how did you survive that," Nami asked again.

"Damn, it feels as if Buggy is scraping out my heart," Boodle held his chest, he looked as if he was in pain. "I can't let these pirates do as they please any longer. Buggy has no right to destroy 40 years of work and effort. I am the chief! This can't go on! I'm going to fight!" Boodle began to charge towards Buggy's base, Nami quickly tried to hold Boodle back.

"Wait chief," Nami tried to reason. "Those people are dangerous, Buggy has a devil fruit power. This is simply too reckless."

"I Know That!" Boodle shouted back, tears streaming from his eyes. They were all shocked at Boodle's shout, Nami had to let go. "Buggy just you wait!"

"The chief was crying," Nami said.

"I didn't see that," Luffy smiled.

"Well it seems like things have become more exciting," Zoro laughed.

"How can you laugh at a situation like this , where does this confidence come from?" Nami shouted at them.

"You just saw that," Ace walked up to her. "The chief can go up against Buggy, because he wants to protect this village. We want to go to the Grandline, no matter what."

"He got me a place to rest, I owe him something," Zoro laughed.

"How about it Nami, you wanna join us?" Luffy held out her hand. "You need the map and treasure right?"

"I'm not going to be a pirate," Nami said, then shook her hand. "We're helping each other ok?"

"Well then let's go," Zoro got up, getting then put on his bandana.

"Wait what about your stomach injury?" Nami asked.

"It's healed."

"That's ridiculous!"

"Besides I'm still sore from my last battle, made an ass of myself there."

"Well let's show Rudy what for!" Ace cheered.

"Yeah, Let's go!" Luffy smiled as she cracked her knuckles.

"This is ridiculous," Nami felt as if she grew a migraine. With Buggy, his crew was preparing the next shot for the Buggy Ball.

"Is the cannon ready!" Buggy shouted.

"Yes sir!"

"Well then let's blow this town, Sky High!" Buggy ordered the next shot, but something stopped the crew. It was Boodle in front of the house they based in.

"Are you in there Buggy!" Boodle shouted in rage.

"Who's that scrawny man?" Buggy asked, holding a glaring contest with Boodle. "Did you call me"

"I'm this village's leader, Boodle!" he declared. "Come down and fight me!" Buggy's crew begins to laugh wildly.

"He wants to fight Buggy!"

"This scrawny man thinks he can take on Buggy!" Between the heckles of Buggy's crew, a man walked up behind Buggy. This man had dark green hair, half long, half cut in rows. He wore a vest, a checkered scarf, white pants, and sharp shoes.

"Captain Buggy," he addressed.

"What is it Cabaji?" Buggy asked.

"Leave that scrawny man to me," Cabaji put his hand in his mouth, soon a sword out of his mouth. Buggy's crew went mad with excitement.

"It's Cabaji's Acrobat Show!" Cabaji jumped into the air, that made it seem he flying, but he was spinning in the air.

"I need to sharpen up, before my skills turn to rust," Cabaji was now on a unicycle, with a smile knife on one hand, and his sword was balancing a top.

"Yeah go Cabaji!" the crew cheered. Boodle assessed this man thoughtfully.

"Idiot, he's challenging me," Buggy replied. "Besides there are more fish in these waters." Cabagi stood back.

"Aww, and I was excited to his show," someone whined.

"Hey you," Buggy addressed Boodle. "Why are you suddenly picking a fight with me, old man?"

"Simple, I want to protect this village," Boodle shouted. "I will fight to protect my treasure!"

". . . Pft," Buggy began to laugh wildly. "Idiot! "Treasure" is things like gold, silver, jewels, things of currency. You have to some dignity and pride in something in order to call it a treasure. This village your "treasure," what a bunch of croc!"

"Don't You Mess With Me!" Boodle shouted with all his might. " I Never Would've Dreamed That I'd Realized My Love For This Village, Thanks To The Likes Of You! Get Down Here And Fight Me!"

"Get down there," Buggy sneered. "I don't want to. "Buggy shot his hand towards Boodle, grabbing his neck.

"Monster. . . ." Boodle managed to say. "Take this!" Boodle then starting pounding at the hand choking him, causing Boodle to cough up blood.

"That hurts!" Boodle shouted. "Why are hitting your neck!" Buggy then gripped his hand tighter.

"I can't breathe," Boodle thought. "I need to keep my eyes open in case of a counter-attack."

"You seem to love this village," Buggy laughed. "Well I guess that means you would be honored to turn to dust with it."

"Coward, fight me fair and square!" Boodle shouted.

"Blow it all part men!" Buggy ordered.

"I won't allow you to destroy this village anymore!" Boodle shouted in his peril. Buggy just laughed, but then he felt a strange sensation on his hand, a burning sensation.

"It burns!" Buggy retracted his hand, sending it flying everywhere. Boodle began to fall, but Luffy stopped him falling on his face.

"Hello again Rudy," Ace saluted with her burning fingers. Buggy was still screaming over his burning hand.

"Buggy here water!" one of his crew mates held out a bucket of water. Immediately Buggy dropped his hand in the bucket, letting out a sigh of relief.

"You Bitch!" Buggy pointed at Ace in anger. "How dare you burn my hand!"

"So you finally fucking decided that I'm the bitch Huh Rudy!" Ace flipped him off. "Took you a fucking while!"

"I Will Kill All Of You!" Buggy shouted. In the back Nami and Zoro came into view.

"Look I'm just going to get the treasure and map, got it," Nami told Zoro.

"Yeah I got it," Zoro replied.

"We're the ones who will kick your asses!" Luffy butted in. "I'm still pissed that you have someone touch Ace while she was sleeping!"

"Oh that's fucking right!" Ace sounded even more pissed than before. "Not only did you try to blow up my sister, call her a bitch, and call me a bitch. You have some pervert who goes around molesting girls in their sleep!" Nami went up to check on Boodle.

"Hey chief you ok?" Nami asked.

"All of you, why did you come?" Boodle asked. "This is my war. I will be the one who protects this village!" Boodle grabbed his spear about to charge towards Buggy's crew.

"And Another Thing!" Ace and Luffy shouted. When they both felt something hit their fists. Without realizing it they both knocked Boodle unconscious.

"What!" Nami shouted, Buggy looked confused, and Boodle fell unconscious. Once the two realized what they had done, they immediately tried to help him.

"Boodle I'm so sorry!" Luffy started to cry.

"Look at what you two did!" Nami scolded the two sisters.

"We didn't mean too!" Ace shouted. "Oh my god! Boodle don't die yet!"

"Don't worry about it you two," Zoro spoke.

"What do you mean don't worry about it, he's old and might die!" Ace shouted at Zoro. Luffy began to wail.

"It's safer if he's unconscious," Zoro reasoned. "Besides man's got a strong heart."

"Oh right," the two recovered instantaneously.

"That was too fast!" Nami shouted at them. Ace and Luffy walked towards the Buggy pirates, then took a deep breathe.

"HEY RUDY!"

"HEY BIG NOSE!" They both shouted. Buggy was astounded, and his crew still couldn't believe she said that, even Nami and Zoro were in that camp.

"Fire The Special Buggy Cannonball!" Buggy ordered. Soon the cannon shot the deadly cannonball towards the four of them.

"Are you trying to kill yourselves!" Nami began to run.

"Ace, Luffy you have to get out of the way!" Zoro shouted at them. Buggy looked completely pissed. Ace smiled as she tilted her hat.

"You think a cannonball will get us scared?" Luffy laughed. As the ball hurtled towards them, Luffy took an extremely deep breathe, and Ace jumped away at the last second.

"Gum Gum Balloon!" Luffy's body inflated like a balloon, the Buggy Ball connected onto her without exploding. Shocking everyone except Ace.

"What the hell is with that chick?" Buggy shouted.

"Wait the Buggy Ball! Could it be bounced back!" the ball made contact with the house destroying it in a flashy explosion.

"Well that was easy, right sis?" Luffy laughed.

"Yeah it was," Ace chuckled.

"What the hell are you two!" Nami shouted.

"You could've said something from the start," Zoro complained.

Hello! How long has it been. Close to a year. . . . That ain't too bad I guess. . . . Well I'm here again with a new chapter of "The Pirate Queens!" Now I won't bother you with useless excuses. Instead I will leave you guessing when I will update again. Maybe this time it would be two years. Nah, instead I have more work coming out. And hopefully at a continuos rate too. So I hope you enjoy!
