I do hope that this letter reaches you. I doubt that the gods care that much, but perhaps they have given me a bit more attention.

Ogygia it, well, it's been nice. Your crater is still here though and it ruins the scenery. I do wish that you hadn't broken my table. I can no longer eat at my beach with the luxury of a table.

I have been working on a new one though. It keeps me occupied. After hundreds of years, gardening can get a bit repetitive. But I still make my stew.

My new clothes have been suiting me well, thank you for that.

Again, I cannot be sure if this will reach you, I can only pray to the gods. But I received your letter Leo. . And my fountain has stopped working again. I need a mechanic.

Calypso

Leo almost dropped the letter.

"No way," he thought.

But his mind told him, "Yes way."

Because there it was, in writing.

She got his letter.

Holy Hephaestus she got his letter!

And now, now he had her letter!

The faintest scent of cinnamon drifted through the air as he held the paper and happy grin crept onto his face, no matter how much he tried to stop it.

He read the letter over again.

He saw the scribbled out parts an wondered what was there. She hadn't mentioned her feelings much, her letter seemed more like that to a friend.

But then again, Leo thought, she hadn't known for sure if it would get to him. And last time he'd seen her, she'd denied her feelings, even though they both knew what they were. And he assumed she hadn't written a letter in years.

The part about his crater made him grin, thinking about her Miss Sunshine persona.

He also smile when he reread the part about her making a new table. He liked kind of leaving his "vibe" there of making and fixing things. He loved that she was still doing it.

The part where she said she needed a mechanic though, that part got to him. The line, even if not exactly the most heartfelt thing to say on the surface, had a deeper meaning.

A mechanic.

Leo

"She means me," he realized.

"I need a mechanic," he repeated it, this time out loud.

"She needs me, Festus." Leo said to his metal pal, not being able to keep the smile out of his voice.

The dragon creaked in reply.

"She needs me." he repeated, letting it sink in.
