A/N: Two chapters in a week, Woooo!
Disclaimer: I own these characters and the series, HAHA LOL NOOB, NOPE! That pleasure belongs to Uncle Rick.
Now what?
Leo's mind raced.
He could contact Calypso now. He could actually sort of, kind of, talk to her!
He pulled a pen and a piece of paper out of this tool belt and hastily scribbled on the side to make sure it worked.
Then he paused.
What would he write?
He thought for a minute, than started to write.
/Dear Calypso,/
he crossed it out.
"No, we're not 'dears' she's not my 'dear.'"
But what were they exactly? More than friends, he knew that much.
/Calypso,/
"Yes, that'll do. For now at least," he thought as he continued.
/I can't believe it's really you. I got your letter and I know you sent it because I was there, in my dream, I watched you send it awa-/
"No," he said out loud as he crossed off everything past 'your letter.'
He shook his head. That seemed too creepy.
/How's the table coming along?/
He mentally kicked himself. It sounded so stupid, but he didn't know what to say! He wasn't used to this whole "romance" (haha) thing.
He sighed and looked to his dragon, "Festus buddy, can you help me?"
"Help you with what?"
Leo jumped and nearly dropped the paper. He quickly turned his head while stuffing Calypso's letter into his tool belt.
There, with a curious look on her face stood Hazel.
"Oh, um sorry, what?" Leo asked, totally forgetting what Hazel had said.
"Help you with what? You had been asking Festus for help."
"Oh, yeah that. I was just-you know, writing a list... of things I want to buy at our next rest stop."
He managed say and grinned at the end.
"Like what?"
"Um, silly-string, a new wii remote, then-er, some glitter and some glow sticks. Yeah.."
"Glitter?"
"Yeah, for um, something I want to do with the sphere," he improvised.
"Alright. I just came to see if you were okay, you seemed to leave dinner a bit hurriedly."
"Oh yeah, well I'm fine," he put on a grin. "Everything's fine up here in Leo Land," he spoke as he pointed to his head.
Hazel lightly laughed, "I highly doubt that."
He smiled and shrugged.
"See you later than Leo."
He saluted her as she turned and went down to her room, an odd way of saying goodbye.
When he knew she was gone the smile slowly faded.
That had been close. He hasn't told anyone about Calypso yet, but he knew that his friends were suspicious and that he couldn't hide it forever.
It's not like he could just be eating pizza for dinner with everyone and say, "Oh yeah, while I was gone I kind of landed on a perfect island with an immortal chick that Percy abandoned and we kind of fell in love and I swore that I'd come back to her."
He snorted. Yeah, that would go well.
He had no ideas how the crew would take it and it might be a bit difficult, as Percy had once been Calypso's guest on the island but he had abandoned her and forgotten about her.
Leo was worried how his friends would take it.
But he pushed that out of his mind for a moment.
Right now, he had a letter to write.
