This poem was inspired through the point of view of Tohru from Fruits Basket. So, of course, this being in the Kyo Sohma poetry collection, this is what she is praying to Kyo, hoping he will hear her.

A demon that causes you to run
Run from everyone
Even me
It kills me to know that a secret like this
Could take you so far away
Please…
Please don't run from me
All those that I have loved
And even yourself
Leave me alone and barren
With my knowledge, I know it was not intentional
But please, I beg of you
Don't leave me in the cold
Where the snow falls
And the only thing I can think of is you.
