Back again for another chapter, hopefully can do this weekly. I'll try to redeem that last chapter by making this one less confusing, thanks for hanging in there guys I know it just started but it sure is rocky. But enough of that lets move onto the main event, as the chapter title hints War is in for a run in with a very beautiful blue siren.

The faint beating of wings could be heard as the Hell-guard angels departed taking with them the once more destroyed Armageddon Blade. War deemed the blade too risky to be in existence whole, so he shattered it and kept a piece for himself. The angels were in a great hurry to fly off, none wishing to encounter all four horsemen when one could cause so much havoc on his own. War stood there staring up at his brethren awaiting their decent to the ground. He noticed that the purple black fire ball, whom he only assumed was Death's course, veered off a distance far to the left from where he was standing. The red inferno, whom War assumed had to be Fury, was headed on a trajectory a few blocks in-front of where he stood. The blue blaze that War thought was Strife, seemed to be heading for the building just behind where he was facing. War began to lean on the hulking blade, known as Chaos Eater, which was planted firmly in the concrete next to the oozing body of The Watcher. The wisp of a smile twitched at War's lips as he recalled the execution of the foul creature. War lost himself for a few minutes thinking about past conflicts and the blood rush he felt when thrusting, sweeping, slicing, and parrying around his hungry sword. The sword The Charred Council deemed only he could wield, its force of nature was to consume everything, even the dark black of what once was War's hair, and the chocolate brown that was his eyes now white due to the blade's hunger. War was given the blade as he was physically the strongest of the horsemen. Only once the blue mass of fire flew over head blowing back his hood relieving his long snow white hair and pearl white eyes did he sheath Chaos Eater and turn to face his brother Strife. It had been an expanse of time since last he saw his brother. Well over a hundred years, as War had spent at least that many years in the Abyss being reformed by The Charred Council. War remembered very little of that time, only that he was somewhere lost in darkness though it only seemed like a few minutes to him. War could still feel the overwhelming and crushing pressure of of Straga's hand. The Charred Council having taken most of War's power at the time had caused him to feel a helplessness he had never before known previously. The only time since, even though only he would know it, was when his steed Ruin tried to kill him. Other then the other horsemen Ruin was the only thing he had left that could be considered family. And to someone who only has four other people that is his same species that means something.

It never even accrued to War to try and dodge or block the wreckage of the destroyed building where the blue ball of fire hit. Why would he, concrete and steel shrapnel would hardly harm War's body, wouldn't even be able to scratch his armor. The human structures were so weak an entire building would have to fall on War just to make him annoyed. The body of a nephilim was built for combat, Death was stealth combat, War brute force and head on, Fury mid-range and, and Strife was best suited to take out enemies from far off. The point being what War thought was another piece of wreckage was actually a pulse grenade that would have slagged him had he not turned his skin to stone moments after it sucked him backwards. The grey rock was a coating that War could wrap himself with for a layer of extra protection when an attack from an unknown source was coming at him. Out of instinct War tuned 360 whipping out Chaos Eater smoothly and followed it with a high arch slash to the ground decimating a near by bus stop area. Perplexed by there being nothing around him War kept his stone skin ability active and scanning the area weary of his wrath running out. Seeing nothing around he reverted his skin back to its pick-tan color. Adrenalin began to flood out of his body as War forced himself and his sword to calm down. The influences of Chaos Eater could be quite blood thirsty if not held in check by War's demeanor. Collecting his thoughts and gaining his composure, War ducked into the door way of the mostly collapsed building. Expecting to see Strife, War was considerably surprised to see a pale woman covered in blue tattoos, her hair was a dark blue going just past her shoulders, she was lean and obviously fit. She was wearing a mostly yellow spandex kind of material with black and grey strips running up the side. She was holding what appeared to War as a long metal tube. As War exposed his chest getting ready to pullout Chaos Eater, the metal tube shot a payload nailing War in the chest. This caused War no serious threat, it didn't even knock the breath out of him. What did knock the breath out of him was the woman's punch. Her hand was glowing blue and passed right through his armor making direct contact with War's sternum. War was sure that this was a human, he didn't know how the human was there or how she had managed to knock the breath from him, but he knew she was human and had to force himself not to draw Chaos Eater and annihilate her. War being a trained warrior never showed a sign that he had been injured even slightly by her punch, his face remained stern and cold, not even showing surprise when Strife wasn't there but a beautiful bizarre woman in his place. He merely picked her up by her arm and tossed her to the side.

"Now why would you do that human, have I provoked you in someway?" The woman lifted her hand that was glowing a blueish purple color. As soon as her hand was raised to War an overwhelming pressure, much like Straga's hand, was forcing in on War from all directions lifting him up into the air. He couldn't move and he was pretty sure he was on fire.

"I'll be asking the questions here." The woman's voice was sweet sounding and yet firm, like an experienced interrogator. Trying to force his way out War tried to convert to his Chaos form but he couldn't access his abilities, and the fire was starting to annoy him. She went on "Where am I? What is this place?" War being unable to do anything at present decided to play along with this act, she couldn't hold him forever, especially since he could hear the sound of claws hitting asphalt.

"This is Earth, where specifically I know not, human cities all look the same." A look of surprise showed on the woman's face at the sound of War's voice. It sounded ancient and heavy, it filled the siren's mind with intensity.

"You said human...what are you?" How does one simply explain such a thing. As simple as it was to War what he was, to someone who wasn't like him would seem infinitely complex. What War, or any of the horsemen for that matter, are like no other being in existence. They are nephilim but due to the power The Charred Council gave them, they're also something more. Beings of immense power and ability. How does one describe such complexities to someone who couldn't hope to understand. War went with the direct approach.

"I am the nephilim War, first of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." The shock was quite evident on the woman's face, befuddlement present in her eyes, and a slight glint of fear in the depth of her soul which War couldn't see because the Mask of Shadows was currently on the back of his belt. The scuffing of claws was becoming louder, War knew the Minions were coming, it would be only a matter of time before they were upon them.

"Who are you?" The woman snapped out of her daze at the sound of his voice, "I'm Maya a Siren from Athenas." Puzzled at the name War couldn't focus on it for very long, Maya was in danger and she was human, the third kingdom wasn't gone after all and needed protection. War had to be free of whatever had been done of him and he had come up with an idea he just hoped Ruin wouldn't trample her by mistake.

"Maya you'll want to be getting down now." Leaving her exactly no time to get down War called Ruin with a thought. Ruin burst forth from seemingly no where, in a cloud of fire and smoke. The violent fiery hooves and marks of Ruin's flanks lit up the darkened collapsed building, it was then that Maya saw what had been making the sounds. Vile creatures with broad shoulders the size of wrecking balls each, a head with no distinguishable eyes or nose, but a mouth full of razor teeth, bony arms and legs with long fingers and toes each adorned with nastily curved claw. The body seemed to be made up of only meant and bone and the spine kept going into the formation of a whip like tail. Dozens of these creatures surrounded them from every angle, their claws digging into the walls and roof so as to make a dome like formation trapping them. upon Ruin's arrival Maya lost concentration stumbling back and dropped War from her Phase-lock. War dismissed Ruin with the same thought that summoned him and upon his exit Ruin ran into and sent sprawling several of the creatures, then disappeared in the same cloudy fire he appeared from. Using his large left hand War slammed the wall to his left causing more of the creatures to go flying. The shock-waves from the punch caused another portion of the roof to collapse crushing the ones still dazed from Ruins exodus. War reached for Maya, throwing her across the street behind him, she hit the ground tumbling and somersaulting until her momentum finally ended and she came to a stop a few feet from where Chaos Eater had been planted. The human now being out of harms way, War quickly pulled Chaos Eater from his back and set to work feeding the blade. Forward strike, 360 spin, 180 over-arch, back-slash, decapitation deft movements to the experienced War, who just allowed his body to flow and move naturally with the giant sword. The demons would growl and roar trying to intimidate the unrelenting War to no avail. Occasionally an enemy would fly up in a purple blue orb and burst into flames, causing them to scream in agony, in which War would then back hand with his enormous metal left hand, breaking all of the bones in the spine and neck. Killing was what War did, Death and Strife were best left to making the plans, Fury for talking, but War, none could matched his brutality. Several tried to leave the building and go after Maya who was shooting them ineffectively with various types of guns, just before reaching her War dashed forward scattering them all about.

"Those are useless against demons, take this." War threw the siren the pistol known as Mercy. "That pistol works like any other, except that it is fueled by the abyss."

"What does that even mean?" Maya yelled after him as War went back into his frenzy of killing. Maya looked the pistol over, it was rather bulky almost like a shotgun, it had a quad barrel which meant four shots at one time. It's handle appeared to be like a revolver but it didn't seem to have a catch to put in more shells. It had a guard on the inside covering were your fingers would hold the pistol. Not really sure what War meant but eager to help Maya aimed and took a shot. She was surprised, pleasantly so, by the fact that the gun had no recoil, and the four shots that came out weren't just bullets. The gun seemed to take in part of Maya's ability and applied it to the bullets. The demon she shot was lit on fire and started screaming in agony until War was upon it, kicking its left shoulder up and piercing the hulking sword into its heart. Pulling the bloodied blade out of the demon's chest War approached Maya.

"Why did you not kill it?" Puzzled by his question Maya looked at him in confusion.

"Speak human, why did you not kill the demon you shot." A bit of annoyance fell into War's voice.

"I was just testing the gun out and I couldn't figure out how to reload it," Maya began but then felt defensive,"what does it matter anyways, it's just a monster?"

War lifted Maya into the air by her shoulder, "Were you not apart of the Third Kingdom I would have killed you just now. There is no honor in letting something suffer." Looking directly into Maya's eyes War could see the terror she was currently feeling, and that's what he wanted. No one should allow for such things to go unchecked.

"OK, I'm sorry geez," Maya started to fidget in War's hand, "could you put me down now." War dropped her and began to walk in the direction of the purple fireball.

"Lets go Maya, try to keep up." War started swinging his blade back and forth lazily to throw the demon blood off of it before placing it on his back once more.

"Why would I go with you?" War stopped and turned to look at her.

"Because if another group of demons were to find you, you would die. And I would rather not let Strife's pistol fall into demonic hands." Maya begrudgingly had to agree, she knew she couldn't handle these creatures. At least not until she found out a little bit more about them.

"So are you gonna tell me how this thing reloads?" Maya asked annoyed that War hadn't told her already.

"I told you it's powered by the abyss, it doesn't reload. Just keep pulling the trigger." Continuing on his path towards his brother War had growing anticipation about seeing who he hoped was Death again.

"Wait really? That is so awesome! I just have to aim." War continued in silence. Maya obviously excited about such a weapon, suddenly remembered that she had many questions for the nephilim.

"Why did my fire ability work on the demons but not you?" War answered this question by immolating his entire body.

"Your fires are no hotter than my own." War was aware of his Wrath running low so he ended the flames and kept walking.

"What were those demon things?" War felt himself growing annoyed and couldn't help but think that Death was so much better at this. War just couldn't understand why humans had so many questions, and couldn't just accept silence.

"They're called Minions. They are the hounds of hell. They collect in packs." It was odd though to War. After all the Destroyer was dead how had they regrouped so swiftly?

"War, where are we going?" War kept walking on in silent thought trying to calculate Death's exact positioning. He hoped it was Death and that Death might still be there.

"WARAA! Where are we going?" Maya asked once more this time louder and exaggerating the syllables.

"To meet my brother, Death, if we are fortunate." War retorted a tad venomously. The sentient being that was Chaos Eater was growing, War tried to calm himself with the techniques Death had taught him.
