Adventuring was something Maya was good at. When it came to finding out the truth to what she was, or whether it was becoming a vault hunter, she lived for it. However, this new adventure seemed a bit bigger then she had wanted. Yea it was cool this place of utter destruction, but at the same time overwhelming with monsters. Yea on Pandora there were monsters aplenty, but so far on this so called Earth they were just different. Every street seemed to have a dozen or more of the so called Minions, and zombie like creatures, as well as hulking things with flaming hands War calls Gholen. If not for this new ally War she would have been in serious trouble. It also helped that she had a kickass pistol that reminded her of her infinity pistol but better, because it was like a shotgun in her hands. The more she used the more her abilities seemed to adapt to the strange gun and change the dynamics of it. Unfortunately for War he found out the hard way that her Healing-By-Shooting ability didn't take effect. After many apologize and a lengthy explanation War finally gave the gun back to her.

"Just don't shoot your allies again, I don't know what the problem with your world is, but in this one it doesn't work….at all"

Relieved to have the gun back Maya simply stated "Well noted."

War was at least grateful for the new found silence that the human seemingly had accepted. It gave him time to think and consider what might be of Death, was his brother even there? Surely if he was no demon had over taken him. War, was considerably deep in thought and didn't hear what was coming at him, he wouldn't have even seen it if he were paying attention anyways. A force much, like that of Maya's hold on him early, blasted War across the street he had been walking on and into a subway entrance. Tumbling down the steps War couldn't help but be annoyed at flames once again swarming him.

"Maya quick we have to get out of here and find the others, hurry before he gets back up!" The voice belonged to none other than the Fire Hawk, or ya know Lilith. Being grabbed by the wrist and hauled off before she could say anything, Maya was quickly dragged into a nearby dilapidated building, with only a huge murky M left on the front of it.

"What in the hell are you doing with that giant thing?! These monsters are way more dangerous than we are used to!"

"Lilith! Oh my god you're here too? That's great but no he was helping me his name is War. He's some kind of Nephilim or something."

"A friend of yours Maya?" A powerful voice from the street just in front of the building they were hidden in.

Maya stepped out of the building and walked to War's side as an insistent Lilith kept hissing at her not to.

"It's OK, he won't hurt you apparently we are a part of something called the third kingdom."

Lilith hesitantly stepped out from her cover and approached the enormous figure now known to her as War.

"Sorry about that Phase-shift, I have only ran into monsters thus far and decide asking questions first wasn't the way to go." War nodded his head as to affirm that that was the best course of action. Maya began filling Lilith in on the details of all that she knew thus far as War moved continually on to see were Death should have landed…If Death was there at all.

War walked on and started in on his own questions, "What is your name human? Are you a siren like Maya as well?"

"Oh yea I'm a siren too, and the name is Lilith." At the sound of her name War quickly turned to face her and looked closely at her. She wore an outfit of reddish-orange, had the same generally tattoos that Maya had only hers were red; her hair was a bit longer than Maya's and fiery red.

"Umm is he ok?" Lilith asked kinda weirded out. Maya looked at him with puzzlement awaiting an explanation she knew she would get when War was doing…whatever he was doing. After all War is nothing if not predictable.

"The mother of the Nephilim's species was a demon by the name of Lilith…however you look nothing like her, nor do you have the stench of the Pit on you. I only wanted to be sure of the fact."

War once again walked off in the direction of the purple flame he had seen from a distance, and so far Death's presence was looking grim. So far two of his three brethren were nowhere to be found; if War were to not have Death then he would truly not know what to do. War was about to turn a corner and travel down the next street when a car flew by just down that road he was going. The car tumbled end over end, part of it caught on the ground and it began summersaulting until it landed in a building causing it to crumble completely. But more importantly than that as the car flew by so too did Death, back handspringing followed by a massive leap to avoid the cars path.

"So uhhh what the hell was that or do I even want to know?" Asked a very shaken Lilith.

"That was a car thrown most likely by Trauma, really big creature with giant claws to match…and also my brother Death." Looking back to his two female companions War grinned for the first time in a long time and asked a simple joy filled question, "Shall we go join him?"

Not really waiting for an answer War quickly dashed out onto the road pulling his massive blade off of his back into a quick upward slice cutting the second car that the Trauma threw in half. The two parts flew by and landed on a couple of zombies that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Death landed softly just to the side of his brother, his weapon split from the single bigger scythe to two smaller scythes that looked no less deadly.

"War we have matters to discuss, I was in the midst of absolving you."

"Should we not focus on the matter at hand brother?" War asked as he cocked his head to the side?

"I was not aware that something so small could cause such an issue for the mighty War." Death merely retorted with his usual sarcasm.

"Not at all, I only wish to protect the third kingdom." Death looked to his brother truly bewilder by the statement. Just as War was saying this the Trauma was suddenly pushed forward and lit on fire.

"Hmmp that didn't go nearly as well as I thought it might. Looks like there's a badass, Maya you're up!" Lilith had just appeared behind the giant monster and with her word Maya stepped on to the street and sent her Phase-lock at it. The Trauma tried to slash the orb with its enormous claws which only earned it a concussive blast in the face. Whaling in agony about being lit on fire and covered in acid, the Trauma picked up a car and threw it at Maya. War slide into place and caught the car midair and sent it back the demons way. Death getting over his befuddlement for now, used the car as a shield form the beast's eyes, and just as the car exploded on contact with its skin, Death was immediately on it with his double scythes. Slashing the hell spawn's face Death kicked off its chest back flipped to the ground, just as it was reeling back from the blow, War dashed forward gouging it deep in the stomach with the mighty Chaos Eater. The screaming cries of the demon shook the very ground, shattering what remaining windows there were on the surrounding structures, and when Chaos Eater was fully in its belly War turned and pulled the blade overhead, spilling all of the demon's blood and guts on the street before them. War sliced the air before him causing blood to fly in various directions.

"Well that was completely badass!" Lilith shouted in her excitement, "Like that was amazing way better than Bunkers and Badasses!" Upon regroupment Maya and Lilith high-fived and held up their hands to War and Death.

"Come on guys that was cool don't leave us hanging." Maya said thrusting her hand up more enthusiastically. War and Death looked to one another, seemed to have a silent conversation in two nanoseconds and then high-fives their two female companions.

"I will never understand these humans and their odd traditions." Death stated while joining in on the odd tradition. War laid Chaos Eater upon his back as Death sheathed his two scythes.

"War, I was at The Well of Souls, I faced our brother Absalom once again," at the name War's face grew into a scowl, "I was about to offer my soul and the souls of our brothers for the return of the third kingdom." Death stroked the green lit scar that the Crow Father gave him when he sent the amulet flying. War's face grew into a deeper scowl than before.

"You were told to destroy that thing long ago!"

"Says the one who has always taken the option to disobey The Council?" At that War shut up knowing his brother was completely right.

"I could not abandon our brothers then, but now I am ready to, we must get back to the Well of Souls." War considered his brother for a moment and then shook his head.

"No Death, we must not. Your soul would be taken as well we'll just have to find another way." Death looked upon his brother with new eyes, before War would gladly jump into any adventure no matter the peril at a moment's notice. He wouldn't have considered consequences or draw backs only the lust of bloodshed and mayhem he could wrought.

"You have changed brother, what happened to you while you were at the mercy of The Charred Council?"

"It is more of what I have learned while back on Earth. The Council has betrayed us, and I will have them pay for it." War's look of pure rage halted Death's argument, fearing he might have to sever his other arm to calm him if he pulled Chaos Eater now. But his worry was for naught when both were launched into a sphere of blue and lit on fire.

"Yea guys we're still here." Maya simply stated before letting them go, "And we would like some explanations on how we got here."

Death laughed and pointed west, "Just on the other side of this street is a river with a bridge, we cross it we get to the gate way that leads out of this realm and into another." At this War looked confused. "The Council has hid from us more than you know brother. We can find out all we need to know upon reaching the other side of that realm…"

"Is it just me or does anyone else feel like there is gonna be a 'but' coming up?"

"Quite so little human, but to get there we have to go through score upon score of demons and demonic influenced wretches like those." Death pointed to the ghouls crushed by the car that was cut in two, "And they are vastly stronger than those."

All looked upon the zombie ghouls and then back to the ghoulish figure of Death, "So, let's be on our way."
