"And, that's what happened. Does anyone have any questions?" Matt asked. He looked around, but everyone seemed to understand the story well. They were all in such shock.
"I... Don't understand. My father did that to you? To your friends?" Negi looked down. "He wouldn't do such a thing!"
"Don't worry Negi, we'll find this out," Asuna said. She came to Negi's comfort, as did Setsuna. Wiping the tears off of his face, Setsuna looked at Matt.
"We have to find out who he is. What he's after," she whispered to Matt. He nodded, and proceeded to let Negi cry.
The evening after, Matt was walking home with Setsuna. Negi and Asuna had gone to the store to buy groceries for dinner so they left them alone. Matt was really nervous to speak to Setsuna, after all the things he told them, and since he thinks she's pretty cute.
"Sooo... " Matt started. Suddenly, Setsuna turned to him. Embarrassed, Matt turned away.
"Are you... okay?" Matt asked. Setsuna grunted, that kind of grunt which meant a yes to some people. Matt nodded his head and stared forward.
"... Are you?" Setsuna looked towards Matt, and as he turned towards her, she embarassingly turns away.
"I suppose so."
"Matt, where do you live?!" Setsuna shocked Matt with her out of the blue question.
"Ah... I kind of... Well-"
"EH?!" Setsuna looked shocked.
"Ah, I believe I forgot to tell you," Negi said. "Matt has no place to stay, so I offered him to stay inside your room!"
"B-b-b-but this is leud!" Setsuna blushed, Matt as well.
"I agree, Negi. Isn't there some other place I can sleep in?" Matt didn't want to share a room with a girl, especially one he found cute.
"Do you want to sleep outside in the cold?" Negi smiled.
Wow, Matt thought. I'm pretty sure he knows.
"Negi, I will get you back for this."
"What are you talking about? I'm just trying to help out a fellow magic user!" Matt put Negi in a headlock.
"I suppose so. However, something like this... You couldn't think of this on your own." He turned his head, very creepily, towards Asuna.
"Eh? I have nothing to do with that! Probably Chisame or Kotarou. I wouldn't want Setsuna-chan hanging out with you all day." She mugged Matt.
He let go of Negi. "Whatever. I'm going to bed now." It was like he switched personalities, as Matt went out the door and into his room. Setsuna followed after him.
"Matt... Are you okay?"
"Always!" He gave her a thumbs up. "Well, goodnight!"
"Goodnight..."
The next morning, Matt woke up, groggy but alive. Looking next to him, he realizes Setsuna is sleeping next to him!
"WHAT THE HELL?!" He tried remembering what happened last night. Nothing in particular happened...
"H-hn... Ah...
EH?!" Setsuna fell out of bed, sprawling on the floor.
"Matt! What are you doing in my-" She noticed she was on the other side of the room. She was in Matt's bed!
"Uh, Setsuna... You were in my bed." Matt was blushing as red as a ripe tomato.
As both of them were trying to regain their conciousness, they argued back and forth who was making breakfast. It was ultimately decided that Matt would make pancakes.
After about an hour of cooking, Matt had calmed down after the sleeping incident and was ready to face Setsuna again. He put the pancakes on the table and let Setsuna go to town on them.
"Oh, wow! These are delicious! You certainly know how to cook, Matt!" She was stuffing 2 pancakes in her mouth at one time.
"Slow down! You'll choke," Matt said with a chuckle. Setsuna seemed to calm down as well. She slowed down her chewing and spoke up.
"H-h-hey, Matt. Wh...What are you doing after school today?"
"I don't know. I'll probably do homework and spar with Negi and Kotarou again. Why?"
"Do you think... I could join in the spar?" She was looking away, which Matt found to be extremely cute.
"Uh... Sure? Just don't be a let down! Fight with your all." He gave a thumbs up.
Setsuna smiled, and as they finished breakfast, Konoka came in to check on them.
"Hey, you two!~ Not getting into any scandals, are youuu?"
"Lady Konoka!" Setsuna stood up and bowed. She gestured Matt to do the same, which Matt complied.
"Please, Setsuna-chan. Don't be so formal! I'm sorry to interrupt your mini-date with your boyfriend here, but we have class in 10 minutes!"
"Konoka, we aren't-" Matt was interrupted by Setsuna's rumbling. In less than ten seconds, she was already ready to go!
"Let's go, Lady Konoka." She was already walking out the door.
"Jeez, Matt. You better hurry or you won't keep up with her!" Konoka winked, and followed Setsuna out the door.
"This is going to be a strange stay here in Japan..."
Hello fellow Negima! fans! I've finally finished another chapter of this fanfiction! Please excuse the almost half-year break from writing, as I was focusing on school, colorguard, and another fanfiction! (I kinda watched Angel Beats! and got so attached to it, I had to write a fanfiction for it). Anyways, please review this chapter when you're done reading! It really helps motivate me to write more! I hope you'll stay tuned for the next chapter! (Which I promise will come soon, I won't take another 5 month break off of this fanfiction, I really want to see this thing through!)
