So I hope last chapter was okay for everyone? I quickly finished it so you guys would have something to read, also it's been a while so I updated and felt like I needed to put something up soon.
Bernard Karp - Does anyone ask if they have any last words? Cause that would be funny! Perhaps later on I can do that.
EternityDragon2610 - Shush you! You seem to think along the same line I do! It was either the Orcs or the goblins she pushed back! As for your questions, would that not be leaking spoilers? I suppose I can tell you. About the ring, I don't think Erika will know exactly what Bilbo has, but if you've seen the second film where Smaug taunts Bilbo; he knows Bilbo has something of gold and dark magic, he can sense the ring. I think that would e a dragon thing, so yes. Erika just senses something. And I just looked up the dragon aspect shout and it looks amazing, I don't want to spring that too soon, as that would be an amazing weapon! Maybe she finds word walls in Middle Earth?
TheRosesOnTheWall - I hate the goblins too, so does Erika! I thought so far we've seen a nice and strong Erika, and everyone has their weakness, not to say that it's the goblins! Although they did scare her! But more of what they were doing; and for the nice...Erika will definitely get her revenge on the nasty goblins!
Dalonega Noquisi - It wasn't Mary Sueish? I was worried it was!
Kazaru13 - Here is your wish of another chapter and I'm sorry about the cliffhanger!...Not really :P But it wasn't meant to hang for so long!
trninjakiller -Firstly, how about you chill? It seems you're just picking out things to complain about. She will be getting some of her things back like her Daedric items. Don't call me a moron, so I forgot a little detail it happens but do not insult me. And I haven't taken away her ability to shout as it shows in later chapters.
So at the request of our very own reviewer, Bernard Karp, I've started a story which he requested. It's another Skyrim/Hobbit crossover, this one is more of a humour/adventure/friendship story and not a romance one!But I would still appreciate it if you guys would go check it out please? You can find it on my page called 'Differences'.
*Spoiler* For those of you who have seen Desolation of Smaug, which I'm guessing you all have by now. Can you remember the seen when they're on the way to the forges and when they get there, they complain that the plan will not work but they have no fire hot enough? In my head I can see Erika jumping up and waving her arms in the air going 'Hello?! Mister Dwarves! Dragon Born here!'
So I am sorry, it's took like forever to get this chapter up but I've not been too well :( But when I felt wellish I looked at what I had wrote and thought NOPE so deleted it all and started again!
The ugly Goblin King began singing again as the smaller goblins began pulling all kinds of contraptions made purely for the torture of others and the amusement of the Goblin King. Thorin tried as he could, to push Erika back towards the rest of the dwarves, but found that she refused to budge. It was evident to everyone that she was scared of these creatures, but whilst she was with them, and while she knew that they would not allow harm to come to her, she would try to fight the fear. Erika wished she had her weapon, she thought she wouldn't be so scared if she had something to protect herself with. Don't be a fool Erika, she scolded herself although hearing the words in Aela's voice, You would be just as scared as you are without a weapon. A weapon won't make you any less scared just as a shield wouldn't. It just gives you something to hide behind, a mask to wear and feign courage.
The Dwarves tried to push themselves together but found it hard to do so as the goblins were many and pushed themselves between the company. Erika's head turned as she heard a sword being unsheathed and within seconds she heard the nasty screech of a goblin and the thud of what she presumed to be the sword thrown towards the fat king who clambered onto his throne, scared.
"I know that sword! It is the Goblin Cleaver." The Goblin King exclaimed.
Erika remembered when they were at Rivendell and Lord Elrond had looked at the Elvish swords which Gandalf and Thorin now held in their possession. Goblin cleaver, was a common name for Orcrist, the sword that Thorin had took. The goblins began to attack the company, whipping them and scratching them as the fat and ugly king continued his ramblings of the deeds Orcrist had committed against his kin. The company did all they could in order to throw off the goblins, and Erika had to, like her company, depend on her strength to push them away from her. Fear makes you human. Erika pushed the goblins, the hands colliding with a goblin dagger, which dug into her skin. Fighting that fear makes you strong. Erika tried as hard as she could to help her friends, a new strength coming to her. When you find something to fight for, your fear lessens and...She turned just in time to see a goblin pinning Thorin down and she heard the Goblin Kings order, time seemed to slow and the only thing on her mind, just as it had been on the mountain side was to save her friend....your strength grows.
"LISS SLEN NUS!"
Erika watched as the goblin which was about to to cut Thorin's neck was frozen solid for a second as they were all blinded by light which revealed Gandalf. She had never been so grateful to see the wizard and as she turned slightly to her friends, she could see the questioning looks on their faces as she had shouted again, this time to save Thorin. Yet they had no time to talk as Gandalf shouted,
"Take up arms and fight..FIGHT!"
Erika guessed it had spurred the dwarves on as it had spurred her on and they all grabbed a weapon. The dwarves let out a fierce battle cry which scared some of the small goblins into the dark holes in the wall which they had been crawling out of. Now armed with their steel once more, the company fought against the goblins and Erika hid behind her steel and whilst accepting her fear she found the strength to protect herself and the company. She would help and would accept her fear in order to overcome it. Erika sliced at the goblins and as the goblin king stumbled towards them, Thorin ran forwards and swung his sword at the great, fat goblin who fell backwards.
"FUS RO DAH!"
With the extra push of her shout the goblin fell over the side; Erika could hear a few of the company snigger as steel clashed, and she swore she saw the faint smile of amusement and wonder on their leaders face. Erika smiled widely at them before turning and beheading a goblin. She had found something to fight for and she was stronger then her fear. She faintly heard Gandalf commanding the company to follow him and they all ran after the grey wizard along the narrow pathways. As they ran, goblins seemed to appear from every nook and cranny. Dwalin roared as he ran towards them before cutting a railing loose and a few others also took hold of it. Together they managed to sweep the goblins from path, dropping the wood they went back to bashing and cutting the goblins down, a tactic which Erika was becoming more and more at ease with. She swung her sword, taking off a few heads as she did so. She saw a small group running for her and braced herself as Erika began to shout she felt breathless and began to swing her sword once more, she realised she had left plan B a little to late and was more then thankful as Balin suddenly cut down the goblins easily. He looked at the girl with a mixture of confusion and worry as Thorin ran towards the two, urging them forward and he killed the surrounding dwarves watching the older dwarf take Erika's arm and pulling her along the pathway.
"Cut the ropes!" Thorin cried and the dwarves did as ordered and watched one of the walkways fall taking a load of Goblins with it. The dwarves used anything near to help them fight against the endless amounts of goblins as they followed Gandalf and made scary and dangerous jumps. Finally it seemed like they were going to make it out as they came to another bridge and Erika could feel herself smiled which caused the old dwarf Balin beside her, chuckle. As the company ran onto the bridge they came to a halt as the Goblin King broke the path way climbing up to them and Goblins swarmed at either side of the walk way.
"You thought you could escape me?!" The Goblin King exclaimed swinging his staff at Gandalf. "What are you going to do now, wizard?"
Gandalf stepped forward, agitated by the goblin and poked the fat beast in the eye with his staff before slicing the stomach open. Erika was looking at the wizard with awe and amusement. The goblin fell to its knees and muttered "that'll do it" just before Gandalf cut it's head off. The goblin fell forward and the massive weight caused the walkway to tumble and the company fell, finally landing in a pile at the bottom of the cavern. They all groaned at the weight and Gandalf helped pull Erika out of the mess once he was out. The two looked at the mess as Bofur looked up and said,
"Well that could have been worse."
Within seconds the goblin king fell on top of them and the dwarves all started groaning again. Gandalf looked at the mess with bewilderment and smiled as he turned to a giggling Erika who watched the company pull themselves up.
The company had ran into the fresh air as Gandalf had told them that only one thing would save them: daylight. Erika ran past Gandalf as the fresh air hit her, she was so glad to be out of there and prayed she would never have to go through that again. It seemed the company was coming to a stop as Gandalf began to count their number and Erika dropped down. As they had been running for the sun, Erika had felt a strange pull towards something which had caused her to stop. Her sudden stop had confused a few of the company but they didn't dwell on it and pushed her out. Now sat in the sun on the grass, Erika tried to think of what it could have been and was pulled out of her thoughts as she heard,
"Where's Bilbo? Where is out hobbit?"
She could have sworn she saw him down in the caverns. Fili and Kili looked around them, though Bilbo was not there. And she became angered as the dwarves began to blame Bilbo for his self not being there. They fought amongst themselves before Thorin spoke up,
"I'll tell you what happened. Master Baggins saw his chance and he took thought of nothing but his soft bed and warm house since he first stepped out of it. We will not be seeing our hobbit again."
Erika felt down heartened and she smiled up at Balin as he clasped her shoulder and gave her a reassuring squeeze.
"He is long gone."
"No, he isn't."
"Bilbo!"
Bilbo smiled at Erika before looking at the dwarves and Gandalf again.
"Bilbo Baggins! I've never been so glad to see anyone in my entire life!" Gandalf smiled brightly, coming towards the little hobbit.
"Bilbo! We'd given up."
"How on earth did you get past the goblins?"
Fili and Kili asked. Erika was glad to see her friend again, but she couldn't pull herself off the ground. That strange pull, a strange buzz was in the air, closer then it had been in the caverns and it buzz rang out in her head. It made her a little dizzy so she remained sitting. Bilbo laughed and put his hands in his pockets, a small gesture which Erika paid more attention to then she normally would. The dragon born was vaguely aware of Gandalf pushing aside how Bilbo did indeed get past the goblins, and whilst she was glad that the pressure was taken slightly on her hobbit friend, she was curious herself.
"It matters. I want to know, why did you come back?"
Bilbo stared at Thorin for a moment. "I know you doubt me and I know that you always have. And you're right, I often think of Bag End. I miss my book, and my armchair and my garden. See that's where I belong. That's home. And that's why I came back. You don't have one, a home. It was taken from you, but I will help you take it back, if I can."
The company looked at Bilbo and the dwarves were all thankful. They looked at Bilbo differently then they had done and Erika felt her doubt leave her and she looked upon the changed little hobbit with pride. Their shared silence was interupted by a series of howls, Balin and Bilbo helped pull Erika up.
"Out of the frying pan..."
"...and into the fire. Run."
So sorry this took so long! We're almost at the end of the first film! I think this will be mostly by the films but there are parts of the book that I would hate to miss out, if there are any coming up that you would like to see in my series send me an inbox and I'll see what I can do.
But what did you think about this? Review please and no flames?
