Author's Note

'Ello, 'ello! :D I decided to log back on to Fanfiction after a while of not doing so, namely because I got caught up in LoL and WoW - mostly WoW though. . . Someone messaged me earlier, wondering when I was to be updating this story and I thought, "Hey, Wynaut now?!" :P

I have a few chapters in the vault and I'll attempt to get them out on a daily basis. I may have restarted Pokemon Black so I might need to play back up to the point at which I stopped. However, enjoy!

Chapter Eleven: Stronger

Touko had done a lot in a few hours. She had visited the museum, checked in with local artists, and even eaten once more at the restaurant - though the chef had given her a dirty look. She was trying everything to get her mind off of N, the man who had aroused so many feelings within her. She even rented a room in the Pokemon Center and had a half hour long spilling of her thoughts with Snivy and her Pokemon Egg. She did remember that she had told the waitress she would meet her on the outer edge of Pinwheel Forest, so that's where she headed at five in the afternoon.

...

The air temperature had dropped a few degrees, although there was still some sun which kept the temperature from getting any colder. As Touko entered the area outside of the depths of Pinwheel Forest, she didn't see anyone but a girl dressed in red pants and a red fighting robe, as well as a black belt. The woman noticed Touko and called over to her. "Hey, you! It's me, the waitress." The look on Touko's face must of been very surprised as the lady laughed. "Surprised?" Touko nodded and laughed, hugging her egg.

"Yeah, I was expecting waitress clothes." The battle girl laughed and shook her head.

"Nope! That's only me when I'm working! When I'm out and about, I'm Battle Girl Jill!" She kicked fiercely, jumping forwards and placing her hands in a taunting position. Touko took a step back in surprise, cradling her egg for fear of it getting hit. "I want to help you and teach your Pokemon Rock Smash. It's a Fighting-type move which should prove to be helpful against Lenora." She smiled, beginning to walk. "Follow me."

...

She brought her up to a large boulder that towered on top of a hill. "We fighters call this Star Rock. Sometimes the bits that flake off of it can be mega money rocks. Besides that point, people come here to practice Rock Smash." She grabbed a Pokeball from her belt, enlarging it. "Here's someone to help us, Throh!" The red light formed to create a sturdy red pokemon with what appeared to be a white robe and black belt. "Throh, Rock Smash!" He nodded, his hand lighting up as he brought it down on the rock, shattering a few pieces off. "Very good!" The Battle Girl turned to Touko, pointing to Snivy's Pokeball she held. Touko nodded, calling out her Grass Snake Pokemon.

"Snivy, Jill is going to help us. She and Throh are going to teach you Rock Smash to help against Lenora.

"Sniv." She nodded with a smile, watching Throh practice once more. She looked at her hand, attempting to get it to light up. With it doing nothing, she instead used Growth and grinned when it lighted up green. Running towards the rock, Touko gasped.

"Snivy, wait! That's not-" It was too late though as the Grass Pokemon brought her small hand down on the rock. Everyone was silent for a few moments before Snivy burst out in a cry of pain, holding her throbbing hand. They continued to practice though for another hour or so, with basically the same results.

...

It was another hour into training that Touko became aware of a clamour coming from a bit into the forest. Stopping Snivy and the Battle Girl, Touko pointed to where she heard the noise. "Do you hear that? It sounds like Pokemon cries!" Running into the forest, Touko was met with the sight of a Tympole getting harassed by a group of Timburr. She recognized the Tympole as the one who was mistaken for the thief Tympole back in Nacrene City! "Hey! You cut that out right now!" Touko ran over to them, stepping in front of the frightened Tympole and straightening her arms in a line. "Leave him alone!" Snivy and Jill, accompanied by her Throh, appeared from the way Touko had come from. The lead Timburr cried in anger at Touko and raised his log to hit her. Vines shot towards Timburr and grabbed his log, stopping it before he could hit Touko.

"Snivy-Sniv!" She cried at the Timburr, picking up the log with the Timburr holding it tight and throwing it. The other Timburr looked over at Snivy and narrowed their eyes at her. Snivy narrowed her eyes back and summoned up a Leaf Tornado, heading straight for them. They cried out in shock and scampered away with their friend. Snivy ran up to Touko and jumped onto her shoulder, licking her cheek repeatedly. Touko laughed and held Snivy's head to her cheek, closing her eyes.

"Snivy, you saved me. Thank you." Turning to the timid Tympole, Touko kneeled down and smiled. "You seem to be getting yourself in a lot of trouble." She laughed and the Tympole just looked up at her and then behind her. Looking back as well, Touko saw another Tympole that was flopping around with laughter. It had to be the thief Tympole! "Hey, did you make the Timburr gang up on this Tympole!?" The other Tympole looked at Touko and once again burst into laughter. "That's so rude!" The other Tympole caught its breath, glaring at Touko and sticking its tongue out. This irritated Snivy further and she shot her vines at that Tympole, slamming the ground besides him causing it to flop it fright before hopping off. Touko grinned in righteousness and patted Snivy's head before turning to look at the timid Tympole. "You know, I wouldn't really call that a friend. Friends wouldn't turn their backs on friends or cause them strife." Touko suddenly had an idea holding onto her Pokemon Egg with one arm, taking an empty Pokeball from her bag and showing it to Tympole.

"Tym...?" Touko smiled, placing it next to him.

"If you want, come with us. We'll show you true friendship and we promise to keep you safe. You can grow stronger and you'll be the biggest, baddest Tympole around!" Touko grinned and Tympole looked up at her. He blinked once before scurrying off into the undergrowth without doing anything else. Touko just sighed and picked up the Pokeball, heading back towards the Star Rock clearing.

...

She had said a goodbye to Battle Girl Jill, figuring that Snivy would be exhausted and it was no use. She wished her good luck and told her that she would be able to do it no matter what. Touko thanked her doubtfully but continued on towards the city. Only a few feet away did she stop when she thought she heard the cry of a Pokemon. Blinking in confusion, she looked over her shoulder and saw a blue blob hopping towards her with the darkening sun. "Tympole?" She said aloud, kneeling down and using her hand to block out the sun's glare. Now she was clearly able to distinguish the little Pokemon and she grinned. "It is!"

"Tympole! Tym!" The little Pokemon hopped the rest of the way, coming to rest in front of her and look up at her with caring eyes.

"Did you change your mind, I'm guessing?" The Tympole smiled, nodding his pudgy body up and down. Touko smiled back, taking out the empty Pokeball and laying it on the ground. "You can do the honors." Tympole grinned and bounced up, smacking the middle of the ball with his tail. The light enveloped him, dragging him into the Pokeball.

It wiggled.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

...

The ball dinged, indicating that a capture was complete. Touko smiled, picking the Pokeball up and standing. Her hand rolled the ball between her fingers and she watched it shine in the light. "Tympole. My first Pokemon I caught." She grinned, her one arm cradling her Pokemon Egg while the other held Tympole's Pokeball to the sun. "With you, we're stronger!"
