It was odd for Pete after two months of secret dates with Ava he was beyond happy. Ava was caring strong and knew what he needed to hold their relationship together. Right now he just finished dropping off his last payment for a special gift to Ava. A while ago Norman Osborn had been turned into the Green Goblin and tried to turn Pete into a symbiote-controlled monster called Carnage. Everything seemed hopeless as he trashed and beat his team down. That was until Ava talked to Pete to regain control and fight the symbiote. Once freed Fury had managed to contain the strange ooze and had Doctor Connor's examine it.
Harry and MJ didn't realize that Ava had talked him out of the symbiotes control they had arrived just when Pete broke free. They were happy that he was ok and escorted back home to rest. But with no sign of Osborn Harry was once more left without a father. Back in the present Pete and Ava were left at home while everyone else went bike riding for the day. Pete, "Hey Ava look I know I still haven't fully show you how much it means that you helped me get free of that symbiote". Ava, "Pete its ok I know how you feel plus you show me just how much you care every time we kiss". Wrapping her arms around his neck Pete used the kiss to place the jade and pearl necklace around Ava's neck.
The jade tigers paw had several small pearls placed into form the paws print. Pulling away from the kiss she looked over the necklace and released a steady stream of tears. Smiling mischievously she jumped Peter straddling his waist on the couch and kissing him even deeper. But this time she added in one of Peter's favorite sounds her gentle purring. As Peter felt the vibrations from his girl he deepened the kiss as far as he could not wanting the lovely exchange to end. When it did Peter and Ava looked into each other's eyes knowing they would spend a long time together.
Four-month time skip
Thanks to Pete and his interfering ways all of his team members had a small piece of closure in their lives. Sam had another adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Danny had permission to stay in the outside world for another year, as well as given permission to train Peter in more advanced levels in K'un-Lun. Luke was reunited with his mother and father. And Lastly Kraven the hunter was locked up for trying to harm Ava again. Dating was something cause Ave dragged Pete on their multiple dates. Never telling where they were going only that he would enough them. And he did every place they went was like a nice little joy ride.
After his latest one Pete went to train with Danny in the forest. Danny, "In harness the inner spirit you must let go of earthly though. Allow the storm that clouds your chi to drift and feel the flow… let them journeys through you". As Peter followed the instructions their communicators went crazy. Answering Fury was on the other side, "Team form up on the low warehouse district the Green Goblin has been spotted". Jumping onto his Spider-Cycle Peter and Danny raced to meet up with everyone. On arrival the Green Goblin had used Doc Ock and his Arc reactor tech to enhance their old enemies.
Beetles arsenal of energy bases weapons were punching through the Shield troops. While Kraven and Scorpions equally enhanced close combat armors were doing just as much damage. Electro and Rhino barreling their way through buildings and anything else in their way. Lastly Doc Ock himself was watching along side the Green Goblin at their handy work. Goblin, "Ah Spiderman come to join the fun and see the evolution of my work". Peter, "You've really lost your marbles if you're teaming up with the person that made you this way Norman". Goblin merely chuckled to say, "To guarantee progress sacrifices must be made… so Spiderman ready to change the world"?
Peter, "Yeah I'd like to change the world but first giving you a dose of Green away might be a good idea". Telling his team the different opponents they should fight the super powered teens were easily out maneuvering and out thinking their opponents. Iron fist squared off with Scorpion exchanging various punches and kicks. Danny, "Scorpion your exile was to show you the errors of your path but you choose to walk the path deeper still". Scorpion, "QUIT I will end you then claim the throne of K'un-Lun"! As the fighting went on Nova and Electro continued their air battle. As Peter webbed Ock's face he shouted," EVERYONE TAG TEAM".
Getting the message Ava snuck up behind Scorpion grabbing him by the metallic tail and spun him. The sudden dizziness faded as Luke delivered a powerful right hook sending Scorpion into Rhino. Peter set his web to harden on contact thus creating two baseball-sized webs he threw them at Doc Ock and Electro. With them stuck together in the mess Peter had Nova create a solar burst blinding the Beetle. Grabbing a metal pipe Peter then slingshot himself on to Beetles back and dismantled the villains jetpack. After the Beetle crashed Fury delivered the final punch to Kraven leaving everyone's amazed at the Director strength. Fury, "Good work team little damage and almost all super villains accounted for".
Fury was right the Goblin had used the opportunity to sneak away but it was a trick. After his allies were stripped of their extra weapons the Tricarrier came in to pick them up. This gave Goblin a chance to spring his trap he rushed Peter in his glider and smashed their way into the flying fortress. Ava didn't wait she rushed forward hoping her boyfriend was ok. With allies in step they came into the science bay to find Peter pinned with a big gash in his chest. Goblin had used a portable shield to stop any from interfering. Goblin, "Spiderman for so long you have interfered but no longer you will join me… but not as my equal as my second in command. Thanks to the research I did on my son and Peter Parks symbiote links I have created a perfect strain.
"You will obey no one but me and don't worry in time you will accept your place". As Goblin poured the red and black mix onto Peter the symbiote not only wrapped around his body it went into him. Using the open wound to fully encase it self so that no one can stop it. Goblin laughed as Peter struggle to fight the influence of the symbiote. But what no one planed what came next a powerful crack of thunder from none other then Thor himself. The God princess had Iron man and, Hawkeye with him all three looked shock at Peter's struggle. Goblin, "Sorry Asgardian thanks to this new technology I've developed a very strong shield".
A loud yell caught their attention as the symbiote fully encases Peter then morphed into Carnage. But this Carnage was different some gold and black patterns mixed into him even a moving black spider symbol on his chest. Thor, "Spiderman are you all right"? Peter felt the power of the symbiote but its influence was beyond his control it told him to let his mind wonder. Giving the symbiote full control and allowing it to crack a sharp gnarled smile. Peter's body now in the symbiotes control turned to all looking them over to say, "No…no Spiderman NOW AND ONLY CARNAGE"! Goblin, "Now my commander kill the Avengers as I deal with you former comrades".
In a flash Peter moved past the Goblins shield and punched Thor clean to the upper portion of the Tricarrier. Iron man used his repulsers to try and hit Peter but the symbiote hardened negating the energy blasts. Hawkeye used several shock arrows to stun Peter as Thor came back for retaliation shouting, "Release him vial creature"! Slammed into the floor the symbiote revealed Peter normal mask to say, "Thor that hurts stop". Thor thought that he actually hurt the young teen only for Iron man to pull him away. Once away Thor saw that the symbiote had planed to strike him while he was distracted. Cackling again the symbiote spoke like Peter, "Sorry to scare you Thor I just wanted to say thanks for the hug"!
Iron man spoke, "I switch my repulsers to sound pulse when I do Hawkeye Thor try to yank to gunk off the kid". Once more in red blur Carnage moved passed the three heroes but tackled Hawkeye and used him as a ram to go through five other rooms. As the three Avengers fought Carnage, Fury and every agent of Shield fought Goblin and his army of dummy symbiote. Nowhere near as strong as the original two symbiote but they could take a beating before they turned into puddles of goo. Goblin smiled as then threw Tiger into Power man and swatted Nova away like a fly. Goblin, "Face it Fury once Carnage kills three those Avengers you will have to face facts. That you were holding back Spiderman from his rightful place at my side".
Fury, "No way Spiderman wouldn't take the life of another I guarantee that". As the battle continued Goblin attention was caught as Peter smashed through the ceiling with Thor in a cough hold. Thor used his powers to blast Peter into the Goblin and caused them both to stagger for a moment. Little did anyone see was a small bot download plans from a Shield computer. The small bot returned to Goblin as Iron man used a powerful burst of arc energy to eliminate the dummy symbiotes. Goblin, "Come Carnage we have what I need". Throwing various amounts of web grenades Carnage trapped or forced the agents to take cover. In time everyone got out from behind their cover to find both the Green Goblin and Carnage had escaped.
One-month time skip
No one a Midtown high had see Peter and some were worried. Coulson had managed to inform the teachers that he was simply spending time with his Aunt. Aunt May on the other hand was horrified when Director Fury told her the truth she knew that Peter was Spiderman after a year. And when the others started to live with them was further evidence. With May fully informed Fury and everyone had spent days looking for any sign of them. But nothing came up and everyone was worried no one more so then Ava. Who had told Peter's aunt of her feelings for him and that she wouldn't stop until he was back home.
May, "Ava I felt the sting of losing a family member once and I know you understand that feeling…please bring Peter home for both of us". Ava nodded and gave the woman a hug. Ava's mind was set on one task helping retrieve her boyfriend. Sitting around the Intel room of the Tricarrier the teen heroes were trying to figure out the Goblins plan. He had stolen the schematics to make a carrier missile system but the only thing that it would carrier is air-based material. Fury, "Goblin said Parker was to be his second in command but command of what"? With that Black Widow and the She-Hulk walked into the room holding an AIM scientist.
Widow, "Director I think this guy might be able to help with your missing Spider". Sitting the scientist down he began, "Ok ill talk but you have to promise that ill at least get less time in jail". Fury considered it while the scientist began, "Alright a few day ago the Green Goblin and Carnage raided one of our research labs in the tropics by Africa. The Goblin stole gene splices and other genetic enhancing serums. But what really surprised me was when that Carnage thing started to speck actual scientific terms. Using the venom of the stone spider, trapdoor spider, and the leaping spider he created a whole new genetic code. He then… infused it into his system the thing went crazy for a whole before he calmed down. Carnage then touched a metal table and produced a green ooze. The stuff ate right through the table and floor.
"Then he started to jump and move so fast he it almost looked like he was going Mach speed. Once of our guards tried to shoot him and all he said when the blasters made contact was that it tickled. Goblin and his creature took what they wanted and left. But one of the data drives they took has a failsafe and they just triggered it yesterday". With the location Fury gave the teens the ok and the Avengers accompanied them. Nova was taking in the sights, as was everyone else Peter and the Goblin had set up shop in the old ruins of Brazil. Captain America, "Ok everyone listen up we have no idea what we're walking into. But if what the AIM scientist said is true then that means Goblin is planning something big. Falcon, Widow and Tony you'll take the kids and find Spiderman and free him from Carnage.
"Everyone else on me we're going to hit Goblin fast and hard". Using the tracking device in the wrist communicators the teens and Avengers moved to find their friend. As Captain America led the others to the Goblin making their ways inside with little resistance they found the Goblin tinkering with components and numbers. Goblin, "Ah the Avengers here to stop me I assume"? Hulk, "WHERE'S MY LITTLE BUDDY UGLY"! Carnage, "Right here HULK"! With that Peter dive bombed Hulk taking him down with a heavy punch. As Hulk shook off the punch he as did everyone see the full form of Carnage. Hulk, "Goblin give web-head back"! Goblin, " Thanks to Carnages knowledge I was able to create a strong transmutation formula… one that will change the world".
Hawkeye," Like that's going to happen". Firing several arrows at the missile each was shot down by corrosive ooze from Carnages shoulders. Carnage, "Thanks to my hosts mind I know his intellect and his tactical patterns. You hominoids do not understand the vision that we are trying to give to the world". Hulk, "*growl* Let go of my friends"! Pill drive into Carnage Hulk raise his fists and lands several hard blows to him. Carnage merely chuckled as he stopped one of Hulks fists to simply throw him at the others. Thor summoned as much lighting as he could as shoot it straight at Carnage. Carnage stood still only to slowly then causally walk up to Thor. Grabbing Thor's wrist and punching him several times in the ribcage.
Carnage threw Thor aside as to catch the Captains shield. Carnage used it to bash Hulk in the side of the face and block Hawkeye's arrows. Then used the shield once more to hit Hawkeye in the stomach. Grappled from behind by Thor Cape grabbed his shield and hit Carnage a few times to disorient him. Then used a sonic amplifier to help disable the symbiote, in time the rest of the team busted into the room. Only they were fighting stronger dummy symbiotes then before. As they held their own Goblin forced back the intruders to shield himself and Carnage. As Peter yelled in agony of the symbiote slowly revealing his former self his team encouraged him to fight back the parasite.
Ava, "Spiderman think of your family they need you and so do we come back". Power man, "Yeah buddy fight it your stronger we know it". Iron fist, "Remember who you are Spiderman remember your inner peace". Nova, "Come back dude"! As the symbiote slowly regained its power Spiderman turned to Goblin and used Carnages stronger webs to encase him. Spiderman, "I…. Can't…. fight it…" Goblin used his energy gauntlets to free himself and turn to Spiderman. Goblin, "Carnage put him back in line NOW"! Ava, "No Spiderman fight back". But something snapped Carnage and Peter's voice became one, "No we are CARNAGE"! Goblin grinned ear to ear and loaded the missiles into an underground tunnel system. Goblin, "Come Carnage we have missiles to deliver".
Leaping after him Carnage gave one last look to his friends as the tunnel closed. Hulk was beyond pissed as he continued to try and break through. Iron man, "I got it big green lets get after them". Cape however spoke saying, "Hold on Tony we need to figure out how to stop Carnage first. He has Spiderman's skill and his knowledge meaning he knows our weaknesses. And the normal weaknesses for the symbiote are just irritating him at best". Thor, "Truly there must be some manner of means to free Spiderman from the vial parasite". Ava stepped forward saying, "Leave it to me I know Spiderman better then anyone here. His family trusted me to find him and I think I might just know how to force back the symbiote".
Cape, "Ok everyone we need to separate Goblin and Carnage. As long as they are separate maybe White Tiger can talk Spiderman out. Hulk you ready to smash"? Hulk, "If its means I get my bug buddy back of course". Following the tunnel system they found a secondary hanger bay and Carnage loading up the missiles. Getting to work Nova forced Carnage as far away as he could from Goblin with the help of Iron man and Hawkeye. Hulk, Power man, and Iron fist went into close combat keeping the Goblin distracted. With them far apart Ava spoke, "Listen to me Spiderman your Aunt misses you please don't leave her she needs you just as much as we need you. You were there for us and you showed us how to be better. Now we're here to help you fight the Symbiote"!
Peter's voice broke through shouting at the symbiote to release him. But as Hulk pinned Goblin he pressed a button on his gauntlet. A new yell of pain crashed through Peter's windpipe. Hulk punched Goblin who sent an energy pulse back at him in return. Firing more blasts Goblin spoke, "I place a failsafe just to make sure that my second in command would stay loyal to me now introducing Man-Spider". The exposed portions of Peter's suite began to ripe and tear showing thick brown hair as well as two extra arms. Peter's mask tore off not showing his normal face but a spider creature instead. Once more the symbiote combined to its host and they force their way to the Goblin.
Triggering his ship Goblin blocked the teams advance and shouted, "Farewell you fools now Carnage is loyal only to me forever ahahahahah"! Ava walked over to the pile of tattered pieces of Spiderman's suite and picked up his shredded mask. Ava held a little hope but was still worried how would they help revert Peter's state.
Two-month time skip
Working alongside the Avengers they knew Goblins plan and thanks to Doctor Connors knew how far it would go. Connors, "Thanks to the samples you brought back I found that the serum can be reversed but there's a problem. To do so the receiver must ingest the antidote. And if in his normal Carnage state has showed just how strong he is…" Fury continued, "In his new state he could be far worse… but in the event that we can't subdue him we'll have to take him down". Getting mixed looked from all over Captain America continued, "The Directors isn't wrong if Carnage or Man-spider won't back down we have not other choice. White Tiger you've showed us that he responds best when you're talking so you have to talk him down again.
"But first we have to weaken him and Goblin and most likely by now Goblins made a new batch of fake symbiotes". Iron man, "Don't worry Cape I got that one monster sized dose of symbiote repellent it'll help weaken Man-spider Carnage too. While everyone else deals with Goblin". Hawkeye, "Ok I got that we have most of the plan but there's still the deal of finding those two". Everyone around the room was left to puzzled the whereabouts of the two beings.
But little did they know they had traveled to the lair of Dracula. Who wasn't pleased to see either of them after they forced their way into his castle. Goblin bowed before the Count, as did Carnage slightly. Dracula, "Why do you dare enter my domain monster"? Goblin, "For I wish to strike a deal with you Lord Dracula. You wish to have a world where you can rule, as do I but others have stopped us both in many ways. Take the one beside me once know to you and other as Spiderman now my second in command and loyal to me". Getting up the Count had a closer look at the creature before him and smelt the signature aroma of the once human Spiderman. Dracula, "I see what do you purpose"? Goblin, "I heard of Red Skulls treachery to kill you and the Cabal. I am here to right his foolish error.
"You are a being who deserves his birth right as is all of you caliber. You who stood the test of time and now the mortal's use you name as jokes. But thanks to Spiderman I have created a formula that will change that. And with your help I can see this world gets divided to those who know how to rule. Count will you help me change the world"? Dracula chewed over the idea for a moment to say, "You must offer more then just ideals Goblin". Snapping his hands Carnage grabbed one of Dracula's servants and injected him with a serum. Then Goblin use ultraviolet light on the servant however the servant did not burn.
Goblin, "Is my offer clear now dear Count"? Dracula, "hauaham Goblin I think we have just found mutual ground".
Three days later
With the preparations done Goblin had Carnage fill the last canister of mutagen. Dracula approached Goblin but his eye never left Carnage. Dracula, "I still amazed the once strong of will Spiderman obedient and loyal". Goblin, "Yes his allies and friends tried to free him several times. But only made it easier for me to tame and control his mind. Thanks to Spiderman's intellect Carnage has now finished the response control signal to allow us and a select few to control all affected by the missiles. But first we need a location that is easily to conceal but with enough travel to carry the mutagens to all over the world". Carnage approached with an even sicker cackle to say, "hahahuha Father why not Japan its exports travel the world twice over. Also the new year will begin soon for them to celebrate".
Dracula, "Perfect while the humans celebrate we will use their moment of cheer to turn them into the first loyal spliced creatures. Then none shall stand in our way as the mutagen travels by air…" Goblin smiled saying, "Or by land hahhahahahhahahahahh"!
Two Weeks Later
Ava was sitting in the Avengers jet holding Peter torn mask as Captain American walked in. Cape, "He means a lot to you doesn't he Ava"? Ava with a tear traveling down her face said, "Twice now the Goblin has keep him under his control… I don't want to lose him but… what if"? Cape placed a hand on her shoulder to say, "Listen I know you kids respect Spiderman's privacy its one of the reasons he's trusted all of you with his identity. But what you said about him always being there awoke him. He need your strength now because on the inside he's still fighting the battle we just need to help even the odds". Saying her thanks Ava placed back on her mask and followed Cape to the monitoring room.
Tony without his Iron man suite was monitoring with Falcon. Falcon, "Where could they have gone"? Jarvis, "Sir's a report of a large six limbed red and black creature was reported by the healing Shrines of Japan". Cape, "Jarvis do a geo-scan". Jarvis, "Scans show trace amounts of mutagenic material under certain areas". Tony, "Avengers get ready we're heading out". As the Avengers Jet made a pass by the Shrine something struck the side engines. Widow, "What was that"? Hawkeye, "Oh you know our favorite symbiote mutant just took out an engine"! Bracing for impact Carnage signed back to Goblin, "My leaders the Avengers are here what do you wish"? Dracula, "Carnage distract them we need more time to a line the missiles take the symbiotes and my servants into the populace for some fun". Cackling at the idea Carnage gathered the two armies and started their march.
As the Avenger regroup Jarvis gave a warning, "Sirs Carnage and a large army of symbiotes and vampire servants are heading for a city". Cape, "We have to head them off Widow take Thor, Hawkeye, Nova, Power man, and Falcon go stop the Goblins play. Everyone else on me we have to intercept Carnage". As the teams broke they found Carnage cackling and destroying everything. Hulk, "I told you once. Let. My. Little. Buddy. Go"!Punch after punch smashed Carnage into the ground but as Carnage go back up he cracked his neck saying, "hehea sorry Hulk I'm your new little buddy". Sending several jabs into Hulks sternum Carnage was pushing the big green bruiser back. Until final Carnage launched Hulk off his feet with a powerful right hook. Carnage began to cackle but Iron fist and Iron man were already on him.
Carnage, "Iron fist you always were lousy for boasting about how hard your punches are". Grabbing Fists hands Carnage used one hands on pile drive him into the hood of a car. Turning as Iron man used his symbiote repellent getting the main impact Carnage was in pain. Using his webbing he began to swing away. After everyone was finishing up the small fries they followed Carnage and his yelps of pain. In no time they found the symbiote still trying to retain its connection to Man-spider. Iron fist nudge Ava forward with antidote in hand she looked at the pain in man spider eyes. Until it turned to anger as he lashed out defensively. But none of his symbiote based tendrils connected it was more of a fear attempt.
Ava, "Please here me Spidey we need you back not Carnage or Man-spider we need you please". Man-spider could see the soft trickle of tears in hers eyes. Getting closer she gave him the antidote lashing out more aggressively Man-spider pinned Ava. Ava, "I know you are strong fight them please we need you Aunt May needs you". Peter heard the voices of his friends looking out from his inner conscious he saw Carnage and Man-spider's webs holding him in place. But seeing the image of his loved ones in pain was the last thing he could bear. Shouting his protest the antidote began to revert him back to his normal self. Seeing this Ava placed back on his tattered mask.
The symbiote was still clinging to him but it just slipped into a web pattern around his torso. Weakened from the fight all Peter could say before he passed out was, "Go get 'em guys". Smiling at his words Cape told Iron man to take Spiderman to the jet for first aid. While everyone else moved to take out the Green Goblin.
