Peter was beside himself the Clans that Jur had told him about were about to be attacked from a large herd of Empties. Peter, "Ki what will the Brothers do to help the Island Clans"? Ki, "The Brotherhood doesn't have a plan Spiderman they want to remain here". Peter clinched his fist he couldn't believe what the Brotherhood decided. Savage, "Spider you must understand an Empties herds numbers goes into three close to four hundred armored. We don't have that many fighters or the resources needed to fight". Peter, "I've been thinking about a way to do something about our recourse problem. But for it to work I need steel and lots of it. And that herd of Empties is just what we need. Ki can you assemble the Brotherhood leaders I may have a way to help both us and the women". Peter had managed to rally all the men in the fortress to the main meeting hall. Peter, "Man fellow men today we must help the woman of the Island Clans we must show the world that we are not cowards".
They all looked at Peter weary none would speck up and none wanted to. The men were scared they knew the cruelty of the League. To fight meant getting caught and they didn't want to be recaptured to be sold again. Peter, "I know its scary I never told you all my full history in my world this is what I do". Peter then showed a projection of his home city of New York City. The tall buildings left the men amazed but they also saw the super villains that he would fight day in day out. However soon after the show of his super heroing Jameson broadcast showed. Hearing the slander of Peter being a villain angered a good number of the men. Peter, "That's what I dealt with on my world I became a hero after I lost one of the few people close to me. When I lost him I was filled with anger that I wanted to use my powers to get revenge. But when I saw the criminals face I remembered it because I didn't stop him from robbing a place. At that moment I knew that for my lost family member I had to redeem myself. So for that moment I became a hero day in and out I fight for the people.
"Sometimes I feel as if I stand alone in a world that doesn't care if I live or die. But I have hope every time I save someone's life I know that at the instant they realize that I not the guy the media paint me as. They see me as they hero I really am". Nods began to work their way through the crowd until someone said, "Spider is right we must not fear". Another said, "That's right Spiders own called him a criminal when even here he's proving he's a great man. I'll fight with you Spider". Another, "So will I". One by one the men began to agree with Peter in time the leaders of the Brotherhood came to the rally. One leader pushed his way into the crowd, "Spiderman stop this we are not an army we are just men trying to make an honest living". Peter, "I'm a man too take away my super strength and skills and I would be just like everyone else. But what makes me different is my belief... I believe in all of you that you want a better chance. A chance to take back your home to be able to walk outside without fear of being thrown in chains and forced to obey.
"I ask you as a fellow man stand with me today and fight back their oppression. I fight and still I don't listen to my fear because fear is what my mind does to limits me from doing what's right. Will you let your fear limit you? And let it take away the one place and the people that gave you each the young you stand with today? Or will you fight for your future and theirs"? The cheers of the men roared throughout the fortress and so the leaders agreed the people. Leader, "Very well Spiderman seeing as your words has brought something the rest of us have long forgotten. We gave up on hope but now seeing and hearing your ideals we will fight besides you. But may we ask do you plan we have few weapons to speck of". Peter smiled to say, "Don't worry I've been tinkering and I think I've got just what we need". As Peter began to train the men in using their new weapons over on the Islands Ava was laying out the plan of attack for the Chieftesses.
The plan Ava had showed them was beyond any battle strategy they had seen before. Ava's plan was trench warfare a very old human tactic but if it's survived through most of the modern age it showed why. The Gess's Chieftess asked, "But how do we create these 'trenches' as you shown us my Spirit". Ava, "We'll us the pot worms they love to move through the soil around beaches. With the right amount of vibrations from the surf we can get them to move like we want. But most of all we need to have long rang abilities so I need energy cannons set up at a few points in the trenches third line. Also we'll need some on the bridge if the Empties and Leagues forces get too close". Luif, "I know this doesn't sit well with you my Spirit seeing as you don't like to take life". Ava looked down nodding to then look over all the Chieftesses. Ava, "I became a hero because my father passed on the legacy of the tiger to me. I was filled with anger at his killer and when I fought the man who killed him I wanted to end him.
"But my friend he told me his past he opened his heart to me and revealed his painful history. He became a hero after one member of his family was killed. But when he caught the murderer he didn't kill him he just beat him up. And when I asked him be told me that killing the guy would only make me just like him. After hearing that I knew he was a great man and he showed that through being a great hero where we came from". Linteer's Chieftess, "This man sounds like he knows the meaning of life and honor just as you do my Spirit. But if you wish not to see the battle none will hold it against you if you remain here and coordinate things". Ava, "No I will stand with the others and those of you that will be on the bridge and ships. We must show the others we stand as one and will not back down to the threats of evil". Nodding the Chieftesses went to rally their forces and set up the battlements.
It took five days for the Empties to make it past the Clan's borders. In that time the Sister's of the Islands managed to create four trenches and set up only three fourths of the cannons they wanted. But Ava knew that time was not on their side. Seeing the cloud of Empties approach they held off their full approach. Ava stood up from the fourth trench he white fur armor shining in the light. Soon a pair of crystals made their way close to the battlements and two figures popped up. The Less's Chieftess said, "The Leagues representatives assassins of words the both of them". Nodding Ava said, "Representatives reverse your army from our homeland or face the wraith of the Clans Chieftesses"! Representative one, "Be reasonable Chieftesses and sisters we are all women of ZLK why should we fight? It's the men that we should fight their very freedom is a disgrace to all of the Divines of ZLK. Please join the League and we will put them all in their place". Ava, "You only wish for us to join so you may pillage our lands for your own means. Your words drip with the lies I've heard from fools hungry for power". Representative two, "Who are you there are only suppose to be five Clan"? Ava, "I am the White Tiger Spirit of the Island Clans. I have traveled from my homeland of beyond to protect the sisters and their homeland from your corruption. So leave or be defected".
Representative one, "Fools the lot of you we will take your land once your corpses run dry of blood". With that the Empties ghostly howls rode the winds as they began their march once more. In time their weapons buzzed through the air trying to hit the heads of the Sisters in the trenches. Signaling the counter attack Ava saw the Sisters holding their own. Thanks to some of her training in the Clan forest Ava had a few new tricks to use herself. Summoning a white Tiger made of pure magical energy Ava had then sprinted into battle. The tigers attack and managed to suffer through a few strong sword swings and energy blasts before they dematerialized. It time the battle had raged on for four hours and things were steadily going wrong. The weapons were running low on energy and the women could not keep the Empties from overwhelming them with numbers alone. Having the first and second trenches retreat to the third and fourth trench the battle went on.
Jall's Chieftess, "My Spirit we must fall back to the bridge we won't last long with so little energy". Nodding the women gave cover for the unarmed to fall back. Once out of the way Ava let the armed fall back as well with cover fire slowing the Empties advance. As the Empties were hit by cannon fire from the bridge and water a horn went off. Soon yells and shouts roared from the Empties right flank and the ones charging were the Brotherhood of ZLK. The men each wore their own kind of armor, but in their hands were different weapons. Some had energy crossbows firing either explosive blasts or frost blasts. Larger men had sledgehammers that released shockwaves of air into the area that they hit. Lasting some had boomerangs as their weapons but once thrown the Rangs would hit and cut their way through several Empties before they flew back to their owner's hands. But as Ava and a few others charged back to the first trench a voice caught Ava's attention.
Looking up Ava saw not other then her boyfriend Peter in his new Iron Spider suit. Firing repulser blasts from the armors gantlets. Landing Peter saying, "Man who called in the bucket brigade Sam's got more brains then you guys. And he's lived inside his bucket before too". Firing a few more blasts Peter said, "Make room". The men scrambled out of Peter's line of fire and Peter's chest piece opened for him to fire his own Symbiote charged uni-beam. Caught off guard the Sisters and Chieftesses marveled at the power that the flying armored man possessed. Taking flight once more Peter gave orders and tactical support to everyone. Landing onto an Empty position Peter said, "Hey guys I heard one of you were asking how to stop being mindless buckets of bones". Growling into Peter's faceplate he returned with a punch and blast to the remaining Empties. Peter, "Guess my bucket head still has more brains then you guys even if it's still a small brain". As Peter flew overhead a little more of the Empty fell as cheers roared through the ranks of men. But their chants to all surprise was for Spiderman. Landing Peter walked with the Brotherhood leaders to speck with the Clan sisters. But once at the bridge Peter saw his sweetheart White tiger.
As if in slow motion the two walked to one another and to all removed their masks. This was the first time the brothers saw Peters face and the same were for some sisters. Standing before one another Peter and Ava locked lips and held each other happily. Lifting Ava up Peter said, "I'm so happy to see you Ava". Ava, "Same here web head". Smiling the two heroes held each other as the warriors of both sides smiled. That night both Ava and Peter sat next to each other as the leaders of both the Brotherhood and Chieftesses talked about their next move. Brother Leader, "We understand Sister but what can we do its unknown how many Empties the League still has. How can we push forward a whole military campaign without more support"? Less's Chieftess, "With the powers of Spider and our lady Spirit we can defect any member of the League". Ki, "Spiderman what do you suggest"? Looking at everyone with a gentle smile Peter said, "We grow".
Standing up Peter went on saying, "We need support and resources that neither the Brothers or Islands have. And last I heard a few of the noble ladies close by don't like the tactics of the League". Gess's Chieftess, "True if we can convince those nobles to provide aid or take the resources they have undetected we can support our defenses". Ava, "And with enough defenses the League will continue to try and fight us". Luif, "And the result will be their plans collapsing around them leaving to civil revolt". Peter, "Which will allow all of you to show the unity that men and women have when they work together. But for now I believe that rest is the best option of the more tired and wounded". Nodding both sides began to walk off. But Ava stopped Peter saying, "Sister I will return to my quarters with my man. He's needs to retell me what lead him to taking so long to find me". Peter nodded telling the Brothers that he did need to explain.
One Peter and Ava were alone she once more lip locked with Peter overjoyed to see him again. Ava, "You don't know how much I've messed you". Peter, "Then why don't you show me"? Smiling Ava pushed Peter onto his back landing hard on the bed. Purring as her eyes flashed yellow Peter gulped wondering it he should run or he should hid under the sheets. Ava, "Don't even think about running cause tonight these Tigers caught a nice meal. And he's going to have to please the tiger to get any sleep". Peter, "And here I was thinking you were going to bite me".
