Back at it again! I know there are a lot of people still wondering when I'm going to be posting a new chapter for 'Strength' but all I can say is that I need to get back in the swing of writing. Also, I need to get back into the Danny Phantom fandom before I attempt to post a new chapter. I actually haven't touched my computer in MONTHS. It's sad.

Anyway, on with today's oneshot.

Prompt: Match

Summary: Harry and Draco enjoy a late night match.

When Harry flew he felt free, like there was nothing that could touch him while he was in the air. He had no responsibilities or obligation to worry about, no war looming over his head , or wands pointed at his throat, friends nagging him to be more like a kid, and no training regiments to follow.

But then Quidditch began. Don't get him wrong, he really did love the sport, but it soon took up whatever free time he might have had and there was very little chance of him getting the pitch when there wasn't a team practicing.

And so Harry took any chance he could to sneak out and fly on his Firebolt. Tonight the moonlight illuminated the forbidden forest for Harry while he lazed around in the air. The full moon was out and bright, mocking him. It seemed innocent and calm, like it was nothing but a benevolent, gigantic piece of rock orbiting around earth, but as he thought of Remus he knew there was so much more to it.

Flying high above the forest, he listened intently to the howls of pain and fear of the various werewolves that took refuge there. He knew he wouldn't be able to detect Remus within the throes of the forest and that even if he did that there was nothing he could do for him without exposing himself as an illegal animagus.

Sighing, Harry angled his broom towards the ground, preparing to land and head to bed for another night of tossing and turning and advoiding nightmares when a flash of green and off-white flew past him, the wind ruffling his raven locks.

Titling his head to the side, Harry watched with narrowed eyes as the blur rounded back and sped towards him. As the figure stopped in front of him, Harry gave him a tired grin.

"Hey Malfoy." He mumbled as he slid his gaze back to the forest when an agonized howl echoed through the air. Instead of answering, the blond Slytherin flew closer until the two teens were hovering side-by-side, their shoulders softly brushing against one another. "Nightmare?" Harry spoke again, asking softly as he glanced at Draco.

"Yeah," Came the faint response. "What about you Harry?" Harry stifled a grunt.

"Full moon." He replied. Draco hummed in acknowledgement before pulling something out of his pocket. Pinched between his forefinger and thumb was a small golden ball contrasting sharply with Draco's pale, smooth skin—a golden Snitch.

Smiling, Harry reached over and enclosed Draco's hand over the Snitch before enveloping the smaller fist with his own larger, tan hand.

"Best two out of three?" He asked. Draco gave an impish grin as the two released the snitch together, his quicksilver eyes glowing in the moonlight.

"Scared Potter?" Draco teased in a husky voice, bringing his face closer to Harry's. The green-eyed teen just quirked before leaning forward, inching closer to Draco's lips. Sliding his eyes shut, Draco focused on the even puffs of breath washing over his cheeks, anticipating what was next.

"You wish, Malfoy!" Harry whispered, his lips just brushing against Draco's before he reeled back and took off, a deep groan of frustration following him, almost drowned by the peals of laughter breaking through Harry's lips as Draco gave chase.

As Harry spun, dove, flew fast, and did various tricks and stunts, his mind wasn't focused any longer on the howls in the forest below, but on the beautiful, bell-like laughter that bubbled from the blond snake that was keeping up with him. He felt the thrill of flying thrum through his veins followed by a sense of peacefulness at Draco's companionship.

His spirits were lifted and even losing did not bring him down as he'd caught something even better than a Golden Snitch, and that was his Silver-eyed Snake.

Plus, the score for their seeker-on-seeker matches was, like, 80 to 52 in his favor and it was about time Draco started to catch up.
