Hello everyone. Hope you are having a lazy, sweet, and relaxing Sunday. I am horrible at love scenes. Truly. I don't know, I'm just never satisfied. So, hence, the long wait. Hope I did well. Here's the next installment.

Tj12398: I won't tease you any longer my friend. Here's it is. FYI. I am not as good as you.

JDcocoagirl: I'm hopeful you enjoy this chapter. There's more to come.

DotNetDemon: Oh, I remember 32…God, I can't believe I'm 38. I don't feel that age at all. LOL. Good thing, I'm hitting the gym religiously and I refuse to grow old. LOL! Let me tell you something. Your fic has be going bonkers! I am seriously in love with it. You sir are a Master!

Goddess Evie: It will definitely be a long road ahead. Jonny is one confused young man. Master really screwed him over. But, I am a gal that believes in happy ending so, at least you know that I don't do angst at the end. Okay, so I'm waiting to chapter 1 of your next fic. I'm dying to see the trial!

Hawkeye4982: I understand. I don't like being too graphic, so I hope I didn't go overboard with the scene. I too have read some fanfiction that is waaaayyyy too graphic. I'm not fond too much of them, but I think that Jessie and Jonny needed some romance in this fic. I hope it doesn't bother you too much.

Geist1321: Thank you so much for liking the fic. I too, I'm enjoying yours. I finished reading it this week and I need to review it. I usually read in between traffic going home or work (Only when the car is at a full stop!) but it is hard to review. So I will review because I liked what you did with it. Not many people can write in present tense (me included). My hats off to you!

Chapter 21

The doctor walked in to the barn house carefully. He knew he wouldn't find DR128 or the girl there, but he would never stop taking precautions. Knowing the layout of this particular warehouse, it didn't take long for him to reach the stable that contained the trap door leading to the underground warehouse.

Once he walked down, the doctor immediately noticed DR128 had been there. His signature was there. The entire warehouse was a chaotic mess; not to mention the two bodies lying dead on the floor. The doctor walked over to one of the bodies and recognized it immediately-his assassin. The one that was to kill DR128.

The doctor shook his head, "I told you not to underestimate him." Sighing, he continued , "I guess, I'll have to do the cleanup myself." Walking over to the computer station, the doctor noticed that the system still working. Keying a code, he began looking up information on the Quest sites. He knew that if the Bannon girl was with DR128, she'd take him to one of those sights. Which one? That was the question.

Taking out a piece of paper from his jacket, the doctor read over the notes he took on the plane while researching. Some of the proposed sights he wrote down on the paper belonged to Quest. Other than the compound there were two others. Quest Industry Headquarters and a warehouse; he didn't think that they would be in either one. The other sight listed wasn't even Quest. It was a cabin by the woods belonging to the University of Maine. He was lucky he found that one from an article on The Chronicle of Philanthropy. Quest had given the university a donation to build it. "It is secluded enough," he whispered to himself.

Wanting to confirm if his suspicion was correct, the doctor pulled out the financial records of one Miss Jessica Bannon. He needed to know if the girl had used her credit card at any point in her travels with DR128. After a few seconds, the answer came out. The doctor smiled.

Jessica Bannon used her credit card a few hours ago at a convenience store in Maine. A convenience store close to the University of Maine.

"The cabin," the doctor said.

Quickly, the doctor began looking up flights to Maine. Looking at the screen, he found one leaving within two hours. He had to make it to the airport soon. He and DR128 had a date.

Jessie heard thunderous roars, flashes of lightning, and the howl of the wind all coming from the bedroom window of her room as Jonny gently lay her down on the bed.

The room was a collage of black and grey; dark lit every now and then with the brightness of the lightning outside. She heard the drops of rain hitting the window pane violently, a signal of angry water making its way to them. Closing her eyes, Jessie felt his gentle lips caress her neck. Jonny took his time to kiss every part of her upper body in such a manner that Jessie heard herself sighed softly.

The storm grew louder as she wrapped her arms around him, waiting patiently as he made his way back to her. And when his lips aligned with hers, Jessie kissed him unable to control herself. She had waited years to feel his lips against hers; years to caress his hair; a millennium for this moment. As she kissed him, she ran her hands over his square shoulders and broad back.

Jonny took careful attention with her. He ran his thumbs deliciously up and down her cheeks wanting to capture every part of her beautiful face, engrain it in his memory, for this was the one woman he would never forget. He drew back for a moment, gazing at her naked body, "I want to look at you," he whispered. "I want to remember you."

Lifting her hand, Jessie gently stroked his cheek, "I want you to remember me. I want you to remember us," she whispered. If there was ever a time for him to remember anything about her it was at that moment. How she wished he remember something, anything. Even if it was a memory as tiny as a grain of mustard.

But Jessie knew he wouldn't. A flood of memories would not happen tonight and she was fine with that. She wouldn't have all of Jonny, but she had a part of him. And that would be enough for now. Jessie stared at the man Jonny had become. He was beautiful. Looking into his ocean eyes, she noticed nothing but love in them, love for her. She smiled and kissed him. Her hands trailed down his chest and abdomen. Even through the dim light, she was fascinated by the muscles in his abdomen and wondered how hard they would be if she touched them.

She didn't have a chance, for Jonny's hand reached her first. He longed to touch her breasts, to feel the perfectly round orbs. When he touched her erect nipples, he gasped for they were the most wonderful things he had ever touched.

Jessie did not wait for an invitation, she took her hand and began gently touching his chest and hard abs. She explored him, just like he explored her. The entire situation felt unreal, like a fantasy to her.

Jonny leaned down and began kissing her again. His tongue fighting a war with hers. His body felt heavy and warm against her. She felt electricity in every kiss. Jessie's heart thumped erratically as she kissed him back.

His hand soon explored her inner thigh and then moved up to the folds of her innocence. His finger reached inside feeling the wetness within her. Slowly, Jonny began his sweet torture against her.

Jessie felt the passion rising in her like the hottest of fires, clouding her brain. She moaned aloud with erotic pleasure, "God! Jonny!" His touches were a divine ecstasy to her. The warmth of his soft flesh was intoxicating. She was aware of the hardness of his thigh brushing against hers. She sensed the thrill of his arousal and a spurt of hungry desire spiraled through her. Gusts of desire shook her. "Jonny…Please!"

He couldn't wait any longer himself. Pushing her legs apart with his knees, he settled himself between her. At first, he pushed in slowly and gently, enjoying the cries of delight coming from Jessie. Her hips rose to meet his thrusts and Jonny soon began to groan to own feelings of pleasure. His thrusts increased, his groans became deeper, "Jessica," he whispered.

Jessie couldn't control herself anymore "Ah, I…I love…oh Jonny!"

Both felt the flooding of an incontrollable and unrestrained feeling release out of their bodies. A bursting sensation shook them as they let themselves go at the same time.

When it was over, he kissed her sweetly and gently, "Thank you," he whispered, sighing with satisfaction.

Jessie sighed, savoring the feeling of contentment he left with her.

She felt she was in a dream as she closed her eyes, gently kissing his lips over and over again. She didn't care if she was dreaming. She didn't care if it was a fantasy. Jessie just didn't want it to end.

Phil Corvin felt like he had mothballs in his mouth as he began walking up from what seemed like an eternal slumber. Despite the fact that he felt like he was waking up, he couldn't for the life of him open his eyes. They felt as heavy as dumbbells. The frustration from being unable to open them made him groan.

"He's waking up," he heard a soft voice close to him whispering.

That sounds like Claire, he thought.

Corvin groaned again before speaking, "What happened to me?" He felt slowly being pushed up from the laying position he apparently was in.

"Here, drink this," he suddenly heard Hadji order him in a gentle, but slight firm voice. "It will help you wake up."

Suddenly remembering the events that led him to his state, Phil used all his strength to open up his eyes and look at the two culprits who had apparently drugged him, "What did you two give me?"

"Technically, we didn't give you any‒"

"Claire!" the agent shouted as he looked at the girl who looked at him with an apologetic look. It was at this point that he noticed he was in the living room of the Quest mansion.

"Claire, shot you with a dart containing benzodiazepine," Hadji answered.

Drinking the water that apparently dissolved the mothballs in his mouth, Phil was able to speak better, "Why would you do that? What has come over you two?"

"You were going to turn in Jessie and Jonny," Claire answered, "We couldn't let you do that!"

"It was the right thing to do!" he responded angrily. "Don't you understand? I want to protect Jonny as much as you do. But we need to do this by following protocol. Hadji, your brother is working for some unknown government office conducting unauthorized activities. The only way to help him is to turn him in."

"And what will he gain by that?" Hadji asked. "Agent Corvin, Jonny was used as a pawn. None of us know what has been done to him. He does not recognize his family, his friends, not even his home. To tell you the truth, the only thing that concerns me at the moment is trying to regain his trust and the only way to do that is allow him to make the decisions."

"And how do you know he is doing the right thing?"

"Jessie," Claire jumped in, "Jessie trusts him and we trust our friend."

Corvin shook his head, "You two are crazy. Where are they now?"

Both Hadji and Claire remained silent for a moment before Hadji spoke, "Agent Corvin—"

"Hadji!"

"Agent Corvin, Jonny said that he needs to protect Jessie. I trust my brother to do so."

"He is going to disappear again," Corvin admonished.

"Maybe," Hadji nodded, "But I also trust Jessie and I pray that she convinces him otherwise."

Standing up, Phil took a few seconds to get his bearings straight and check his equilibrium before speaking, "I now remember Jessie telling me about a cabin."

Claire sighed, "Yes. They are there."

"Do your parents know about this? Does Benton know about this? Hadji, when he finds out‒"

"He will understand," Hadji concluded for him. "I will speak to him and he will understand why Claire and I did what we did. Besides, father would not have wanted Jonny to be put to such scrutiny. We want to help him. I am sure you do too but we are not sure I-1 does."

"What do you mean?" the agent sounded shock.

"Agent Corvin," Claire chimed in, "We have no doubt that you want to help us and Jonny. But Hadji and I had a long discussion and we wouldn't be surprised if the agency uses Jonny to find out what this mysterious agency is. We don't want Jonny to be a pawn for a war between two agencies."

"That's preposterous!"

"It's realistic," she replied. "You know that's a possibility."

Resigned and inwardly agreeing that what they had just said was a possibility, Corvin sighed, "So, now what?"

"We need you to do some research for us," Hadji replied. "You have access to many databases. Perhaps you can find out something about this agency Jonny works for."

Laughing sarcastically, Corvin asked, "How would I be able to do that? If it is that deep‒"

"You have to try," Claire answered. "Jessie and Jonny's life may very well depend on what you find."

Rain poured down, hitting the window pane of the bedroom window with a stronger impact than before. Jessie and Jonny heard the rain as they held on to each other in comfortable silence. Jessie's head lay on Jonny's chest as he hand gently played with red locks. Neither said a word, they just listened to their slow steady breathing, heartbeats and the rain.

"Jessica," Jonny whispered not knowing if she was asleep.

"Yes," she answered slowly.

Jonny was quiet for a moment before finally having the nerve to ask a question plaguing his mind for the past hour, "Tell me… about him?"

At this the red head smiled, moved a bit so she could face him and then sweetly kissed him on the lips. He kissed her back with equal gentleness before she moved back to her original position, "What would you like to know?" She knew he still didn't accept the fact that he was speaking about himself, but she didn't care. This was a step up from his constant denial. Maybe, with time, she could finally convince him.

"Who is he? What has made you search for him all this time?" he asked low toned as he looked up the ceiling of the dark room.

"Well," she began. "I've already told you that you…he lives with his father here in Maine. He loved sports, the outdoors, and music." Jessie paused for a bit, "He was very smart. "

"Book smart or street smart," Jonny abruptly asked.

"Why do you ask?"

He held her tighter, "Just wondering."

Jessie smiled again, "Mostly street smart, but don't get me wrong. In school, Jonny was great. He never really studied and still made the grades. I always thought he was smarter than he appeared. If he really applied himself, I'm sure he could have been as smart as his father."

Jonny remained quiet after she spoke. Jessie wondered what he thought about. She even thought of asking, but stopped herself. The last thing she wanted was to spook him when for the first time, Jonny wanted to know about himself. Well, at least he wanted to know about the man that Jessie loved.

"Tell me about you," she suddenly heard him asking.

What do you want to know?" she asked.

"Everything," Jonny replied with a tone full of interest.

At this Jessie laughed, "Not sure where to start. I'm half Columbian, half Irish…hence the red hair. I just graduated from the University of Washington with a computer science degree….oh, I love caramel."

"Most girls would say they love chocolate," he interrupted.

"I'm not the average girl," she countered.

"I'm well aware of that," Jonny answered. "What else? What are you going to do now that you are done with school?"

"I'm going to be working with Dr. Quest," she answered. "It's what I've always wanted to do."

"Why?" he asked. "Because you like it or because it keeps you closer to him?"

"I think it's both," Jessie answered calmly. "It doesn't really matter where I go or what I want to do…he'll always be with me. Working with Dr. Quest is a bonus. Besides, I want to be close to my dad. He also works for Dr. Quest. It's nice that we'll all be together after so many years apart."

"Don't tell me that you all will live together too?" he asked seriously.

"As a matter of fact, we all do," she laughed a little. She stayed quiet for a bit, "He did too, you know. Our bedrooms were almost right across from each other on the second floor of the compound."

"Big house?"

"Pretty big," she nodded against his chest, "It's right on Lighthouse Point. You can't miss it. It's the only house on the block that is hidden by trees and a long road before you get to the actual house. It sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean. You can even see the lighthouse from the entrance."

"You sound like you really enjoy being there," he said rather sadly.

"I do," Jessie agreed, "I have to admit, it's a pretty cool house. Not many homes can talk to you."

"Talk?"

"Yes. Doctor Quest calls her IRIS. She's a computer that he built within the confines of the house. You call out to her and she provides any information you need. She also has the ability to recognize a person's voice and DNA pattern, so she knows who has access to her."

"She's smart," Jonny responded impressed.

It was the first time that Jessie noticed that in him, "Very. You've never enjoyed a place where you've lived?"

"No," Jonny shook his head slightly, "I've never been anywhere long enough to enjoy anything about it."

Jessie wanted to answer him, but didn't know what to say. What can you say to a man who doesn't remember his home, his life, or even his loved ones? What can you do to help him feel better? The only thing Jessie could think of was to hold him tighter. Jonny then reached for her and turned her over so that his body lay on her. He kissed her deeply, but still with the gentleness that distracted her from all around her. Caressing his blonde locks, she kissed him back. Before she knew it, she has opened herself to him and he was slowly thrusting himself inside of her.

Looking intently at her eyes, Jonny asked in a husky voice, "What do you miss about him?"

Looking at him, enjoying the feeling of him inside her, Jessie whispered, "Everything."

"Tell me one thing," he asked.

"His smile," she answered, "I…I miss his smile. He had this beautiful smile that melted my heart."

Jonny closed his eyes and kissed her as his thrusts grew faster. Jessie wrapped her legs around his waist and pushed herself on top of him, this time participating more actively in their lovemaking. The night was not over yet and this time, she would make him feel every bit as good as he made her feel.

Master searched for information on his laptop while still on the plane that would take him to his son. He looked around. Everyone was either fast asleep or too distracted to pay attention to him. Looking at his screen, he checked flight and reassignment information.

The Master had everything planned. He was going to take on a one year mission that would require the assistance of his son. DR128, aka, Aidan Summers would pose as his son on a mission to infiltrate and assassinate an Italian mob boss that could gain the agency a big lump of cash after collecting all his assets. But in order to gain the old man's trust, he and Aidan would need to infiltrate the family. The Master would come in as the family's new lawyer and Aidan would make sure to befriend the mob boss' grandson who was to inherit the business.

He hoped that during that year, the two would draw closer until the moment came when he could tell him the truth about who he was. The added bonus would be that they would be so deep underground that no one would be able to find them for that period of time. After that, he'd think of somewhere else to hide his son from his previous captures.

Looking out the plane's window into the dark skies, the Master wondered if Aidan would accept him as his father, not only on the assignment, but in his real life. Would Aidan be as close to him as he was to Quest? It shouldn't matter, he thought to himself. Aiden was different. There was no Jonathan Quest anymore. He ceased to exist five years ago. So, why was he so nervous all of a sudden?

The Master shook his head. He was so close to getting his son back, he couldn't let his nerves get the better of him when everything was so close. He thought about telling him years ago the truth, but he hadn't. He needed his son to become a strong agent. Mixing in emotion at such an early stage in his development would prove damaging for both of them. But the Master partly regretted his actions toward his son. Aidan was by far his greatest agent, but there was no emotion in him. He didn't think he'd be capable of love or of loving someone. And, if that was really true, could he truly love him as a father?

At this point, it didn't matter. He'd have to work with what he had. The plan had dwindled a bit, but was now balancing itself back again. Soon, he'd have his son back and he'd be rid of Quest, Banon and the rest of the troublesome family that had done nothing more than ongoing nuisance in his life.

Phil Corvin didn't know why he agreed to listen to Hadji or Claire. Nothing about what he was doing was protocol and he was a man who lived on protocol. Yet, part of him, couldn't stop himself from breaking the one thing he cherished the most.

He had been in his office for hours searching old files that gave him clues to any sub agencies within I-1, the FBI or the CIA. Nothing turned up yet and he was getting antsy.

Hearing a knock, his gaze went towards the door, "Enter."

Alex walked in with a concerned look on her face, "What's going on Corvin?"

"I'm fine Alex‒"

"You're not Phil," she answered walking further in to his office and taking a seat across from him, "Look at you. Your eyes are glazed, you look pale and tired. I've never seen you take such a beating on a case. Talk to me."

Sighing, he gave up. She was the one person that could get him to talk, "Alex…I found Jonathan Quest. Well, rather Jessie Bannon found him." He proceeded in telling her how Jessie found him and what had occurred in the last 48 hours.

Alex's eyes widened in surprise, "What? Where is he? Phil, why haven't you brought him in? Who is running surveillance on this kid?"

"No one," he rubbed his eyes with his hand, "I kind of let him go."

"You what?" she raised her voice, "Are you crazy? Why on Earth would you have done that?"

"Wait, let me explain," Phil tried to calm Alex down, "I didn't have a choice. Hadji and Claire…anyways, they believe that turning him in was a bad idea."

"Why?"

"Because we found that Jonny has been apparently working for a sub-agency under any one of our top agencies…well, at least that's what we think." Phil paused for a bit before speaking again, "Alex, you should have seen him. I'm not sure what they've done to the kid, but they've taken every bit of who he was away. He has no memory of his past life or his family. I'm not even sure if he has any empathy anymore. It's not the same kid I knew all those years ago."

"I'm really sorry to hear that Phil, I really am," Alex replied, "But, this still doesn't excuse your actions. If the Senior Leadership Team finds out…"

"I'm hoping I can close this case before they do," he interrupted her. "I can't turn him in. I know it's what I should do, but I can't. The agency will use him to get to this renegade agency and in the process, we might lose him all over again. Benton and Race are close friends. They've saved me many times, I can't do this to them. "

"So what now?"

Phil sighed, "Jessie is with Jonny at the moment, I'm sure she won't lose him. I need to find out anything that I can about this agency."

Alex pondered for a moment, "You think they are operating from an American agency?"

He laughed sarcastically, "Hell if I know. But I need to start somewhere."

Nodding, the medical examiner sighed heavily, "Okay, what do you need from me?"

"Oh no," Phil shook his head vehemently, "No way, I'll drag you into this. My career is on the line, I'm not going to have you go down with me."

"Stop it!" she waved her hand, "I'm going to help you. You can't do this by yourself. Besides, maybe I can find something on my medical files that might help."

"Hey!" his eyes sparked as if an idea had literally popped in his mind. Turning to his computer, he began searching his email files, "Benton's last email had information that he shared with me. He looked over at our I-1 files from the I-1 office in Russia, but I doubt he searched anything in the medical files." Searching with a meticulous gaze on the screen, he finally found the email and read it, "Here. He send me the name of a person he wanted me to investigate."

Standing up, Alex walked behind Phil and laid her hand on his shoulder, "Who?"

"Oliver Crawford," he answered, "Alex, see if you can find anything on your medical files on Oliver Crawford."

The morning sun was beginning to filter in to the bedroom window. Jessie opened her eyes and smiled. Jonny was spooning her from behind, his arms holding her tight. She stayed in bed for a few minutes before she was able to let go of him and unwillingly push herself out of bed.

Looking at him sleeping peacefully, Jessie couldn't control the tears that began to flow from her eyes. She had finally found him and was finally able to love him the way she had yearned for years. I love you so much, she thought to herself as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She wanted to touch him again, to feel him, but Jessie also knew that the man sleeping on the bed was probably getting the best sleep he had had in days. She couldn't find it in her heart to wake him up.

Walking over to her bag, she retrieved some clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower. Hopefully, Jonny would rest a little longer.

xxxxxxxx

Hearing the shower from the bathroom turn on, Jonny opened his eyes and immediately found that Jessie was not with him. He looked around, noticed the morning sun and sighed. For some reason, he hadn't wanted the night to end. For the first time, he had made love, he hadn't just had sex. He felt love in a completely different way. There was another first for him. It was also the first time he had an actual conversation with someone. Not just a conversation that dealt with his assignments, but a conversation that dealt with questions and answers he wanted to know. To him, that was unbelievable.

Closing his still tired eyes, he thought about Jessica. He hadn't loved anyone before, but he knew that what he felt for her was love. How he wished the circumstances were different. He'd miss her. He'd never forget her. Resigned, he looked at the clock on the nightstand next to him. It was still early. There would still be a bit more time with her. He thought about a life with her. A life that included seeing her every day. An ordinary life that didn't require him disappearing from one part of the hemisphere to another. Now, wouldn't that be an interesting change? This was his last thought before succumbing once more to sleep.

xxxxxxxxx

"Jonny," he heard a whisper. "Jonny," now he felt a shake. "Wake up."

Jonny opened his eyes and saw Jessica smiling at him as she sat next to him, "Good morning sleepy head. I hate to wake you up, but it's a quarter past ten and breakfast is ready."

Sitting up, he looked at her surprised as he pushed his blonde locks back with his hand, "I slept that long?" Hadn't she just been in the shower? "I heard you in the shower."

She laughed a little, "That was about two hours ago," she explained. "When I walked out, you were still out. So, I let you rest and then then started making breakfast. Why don't you take a quick shower while I set the table?"

Jessica began to stand up when he felt Jonny push her gently back down, "I…I need to tell you something."

She looked at him curiously, "What?"

He swallowed a bit and took a deep breath, "I've never done what I did with you last night."

At this, Jessie looked at him with surprise, "You've never been with another‒"

"No," he shook his head, with a ghost of what Jessie thought was a smile from him, "I've been with women…for the purpose of the assignments." Jonny looked at her, "I've had sex with them Jessica, but I never made love to any of them. I've never made love to anyone…until last night."

Jessie's heart jumped for joy. He had made love to her. He cared for her and if anything, this was a proclamation of his love for her. She kissed his lips with pure love and adoration, "Thank you for telling me this." That's when she noticed the sadness in his eyes, "Jonny?"

"I needed you to know that," he continued. "I want you to always remember that."

Knowing what his words meant, Jessie stood up from the bed, "I will," she answered with a sad smile. "Why don't you get ready? I'll finish breakfast and set the table. Everything will be ready by the time you get out."

Nodding, Jonny rose from bed and walked out of the room, not caring that Jessie could see and appreciate his naked form. When she was sure he had entered the bathroom, she let out the tears. She couldn't let him go. She couldn't lose him now.

Then, she remembered what Claire had put in her bag. The picture. The picture with him, her and Hadji. That was her proof. She had been so angry the evening before that she had forgotten what her friend gave her. Walking briskly to her bag, Jessie looked for the picture, folded it and put it on her pocket. It was time for Jonny to know who he was.
